Great vibe, busy spot. No reservations, but the host was super helpful and got us a table when we needed it. Food took a while, but it was worth the wait. Lamb chops were the standout. The small dip platter with garlic pita was a nice start, and the calamari was fresh. Cocktails were refreshing, and prices were fair. Only downside was the noise—it gets really loud inside—and the waiter didn’t check on us much. Still, overall a solid experience.

Very decent Greek place on Danforth. I’d go back but not ideal for anyone on a tight budget. Very pleasant atmosphere, solid, polite but not overly obsequious wait staff. Fresh ingredients.

Was in Greece for 12 days in late May 2025. This is by far the closest I've come to that same culinary experience. They serve real Greek beer, the food portions were great, and the taste and quality were exceptional. 10/10, recommend Mezes for an authentic Greek experience.

Whether it's sharing plates between family members, friends gabbing over drinks, or a casual date night, Mezes is a great spot to check out. Their stylish patio can accommodate large groups, the food is good and so is the service. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Food was fine, we ordered many small dishes. The famous flamed cheese was very salty, the lamb chops were smaller than expected but it was okay. The problem was, it was very very loud. It was Wednesday evening and I almost lost my voice talking to my friend for just over an hour. We were seated around 5:30pm as a walk-in and in 30 minutes it got pretty full and very busy, by the time we left there was a line up.

I’ll start by saying the Mezes olive oil that they have at each table is incredible. It’s so aromatic, and embodies the full flavour of olives. The food is decent. Calamari and pita with dips were probably my favourite dishes. The grilled vegetables were a bit too burnt (quite blackened), but the meat and seafood dishes were good. No reservations but we came 15 min after opening for lunch on the weekend and got a spot.

My wife and I finally got to eat at the new location for Mezes. Every other time we’ve gone there we’ve had our young children and it continued as they aged up through to adult children. It was just the two of us for a romantic birthday dinner for my wife. The new location was very nice and the balcony was an improvement over their last location down the street. The interior has the raised dining area very similar to the old location. The food, the service and the atmosphere has never disappointed and continues to provide consistent, good food, and great service. Our waiter has worked at the restaurant for a couple of years and was very friendly. We recommend you check it out. They do not take reservations.

Just finished dinner at this restaurant… very disappointing. Food was okay. Prices were outrageous. $8 to switch rice for grilled veggies? Yikes. Service was incredibly slow and it felt like the servers were just running back and forth, almost ignoring tables unless you called out to them. No friendliness, no “welcome, how are you guys?” But worst of all was the noise level in this restaurant. I have never been in such a loud and chaotic restaurant. A mall food court is quieter than this. They play loud music so everyone is shouting over it. Servers crashing plates and glassware. Also, why don’t they put salads in bowls instead of spilling salad dressing out of the plates and all over the floor? The salad was soggy and very sour (all vinegar), hardly any salt. The only good thing at this restaurant was the olive oil on the table and the warm bread they serve with the saganaki. I had this as 2 stars but removed one because my ears are still ringing. Would not recommend this place! Go anywhere else!
