"Mezlai, in the opulent Emirates Palace hotel , is designed to look like a Bedouin tent-turned-royal residence. The menu takes traditional Gulf ingredients like za'atar, saffron, and rosewater and whisks them into elegant, upscale renditions. Highlights include couscous with scallops, garlic, and saffron; barley with cardamom and veal; and lamb machboos, a popular Arabian Gulf meat-and-rice dish with onions, turmeric powder, and dried lemon." - Jenna Scatena

Went here in December 2021. Great food and service. The outdoor dining area is great and it is located in the gigantic, gloriously tacky Emirates Palace. Make sure to arrive early as you will probably get lost in the fancy hallways of the building. Not to busy when we went, but the experience would have been better without the people eating near us smoking. But overall a great restaurant that is worth visiting.

Food was tasty and high quality. Combination of lots of different middle eastern dishes, including from Iran, Lebanon, Turkey. We had the lamb with cherry sauce and then the lobster and seafood platter, all very yummy. The only reason that we did not rate a 5 is because they did not give any time for us to finish the mezze before the main courses arrived, and there was a discrepancy in the bill (which I did not realize until we left). I would definitely go back here.

Amazing restaurant with super delicious food and service at Emirates palace hotel. Warm welcoming hostess, arabic atmosphere interior. Personally I love their hummus with freshly baked bread and shish tawuk (teste like my father cooks)

Specifically stopped by here to try the camel. The restaurant is located within Emirate Palace, which was a really beautiful place to look around. The palace reeked of opulence and extravagance which was very different from what I'm used to. After getting to the restaurant with my booking, I was served doughnuts, dates and special coffee. The doughnuts were really amazing. I had the choice for inside or outdoor dining and opted to eat outside. The outdoor area had booths with very comfortable seats. After getting the menu I did feel like I was forgotten for a bit. Due to its location, it was hard to get anyone's attention without having to leave the table. After getting to order, the item I wanted wasn't available so I ended with going with the other camel dish. I was also recommended the camel milk with dates. The camel milk was interesting. It didn't have a strong milk flavour but that could have been due to the dates. It was kinda hard to drink though since the date pieces kept getting stuck in the straw. I started with the veal harees, which was like a meat pate. The meat was spiced very delicately but the texture was a bit weird for me, almost gummy. It did go really well with the pita bread. The pita bread was delicious. I found the camel chop a bit dry. The vegetables that came with it were seasoned and cooked well. I had the angel hair and kashta for dessert. There was a pistachio and honey parfait on one side and angel hair filled with cream and topped with chocolate on the other. Both items were nice. The food was made well but it wasn't something that I would go for again, particularly due to the price. Service was really nice when they were there, but that could have been due to the time, as I arrived there quite late (2130). Overall it was an interesting experience.

This Middle Eastern restaurant is located in the extravagant Emirates Palace hotel and serves Emirati food. The interior is minimalist design contrasting the Gold and flashy entrance of the hotel. I ordered camel tongue and it was delicious. Must try.
