Mi Amor

"Set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach in Tulum, this adults-only boutique hotel is filled with romantic little nooks from which to take in the sun and surf: egg-shaped chairs dangling over the pool, cushioned daybeds in private gazebos, hammocks slung from private patios. There’s a beachy minimalism to the guest rooms, where you’ll want to leave the sliding doors open to invite in the sea breeze. At the onsite restaurant, Australian chef Paul Bentley serves the kind of Mexican-meets-Mediterranean cooking you want to eat in a setting like this, with dishes such as squid ink garganelli with braised octopus and tempura fish tacos with jalapeño peanut salsa, while spa treatments include ground coffee exfoliation, chocolate mud wraps, and flower baths. Best of all, you’re about a 35-minute walk from the Mayan ruins of the Tulum archaeological site." - Nicholas DeRenzo

The staff here made the Mi Amor Resort a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Tulum. The staff were one of the best parts of our trip—so friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. They really go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect.||The resort itself is stunning. It’s right by the ocean, with amazing views and a relaxing vibe. The rooms are stylish and clean, and the whole place feels calm and romantic. It’s perfect for couples.||The location is great—close to the beach and Tulum’s restaurants, but still quiet and safe. We always felt secure, and the area around the hotel was easy to walk around.||If you’re looking for a relaxing and special place to stay in Tulum, Mi Amor is a great choice. We loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Mi amor is the ideal romantic getaway. Es muy tranquil, a delight for all the senses with the chic pool/restaurant design accompanied by balmy breezes and authentic friendly service. Nahama & Miriam are lovely and helpful with anything you need. All of the waitstaff, including Alex & Aurelio were great and attentive. Will bring you what you need to anywhere if your choosing including the incredible oceanfront cabanas where you can listen to the waves while watching the moon rise. A truly perfect few days in paradise. |Staying at Colibri collection is also a huge bonus as you can visit and use amenities at all sister properties.

I have not yet stayed at this property. I booked this property on my Hilton honors app. The customer service I’ve received from both Hilton and this property has been extremely disappointing. I made for my upcoming 30th birthday on July 13, 2025. The reservation was made directly through Hilton approximately two weeks ago, with the expectation that Hilton honors its Best Rate Guarantee. On June 22, I noticed the rate for my booked dates had dropped to $93 per night. Wanting to receive the best available rate, I contacted Hilton Honors to request an adjustment. Unfortunately, what followed was a complete breakdown in customer service and communication: 1. The first representative placed me on hold for an extended period before disconnecting the call. 2. Upon calling back, I was again disconnected after a long wait. 3. A third representative, who was polite, explained that the office manager was unavailable due to the late hour and advised I call back the next day. She said she would leave notes on my account. 4. On June 23, I followed up as advised. The representative claimed I had booked through a third party – which is completely false. I booked directly through Hilton. 5. I was transferred between Hilton and the hotel multiple times, each blaming the other for the inability to modify the reservation. 6. One representative even assured me that she could modify the reservation and retain my deposit. She placed me on hold, then transferred me back to the hotel – yet again. 7. On my final call, after asking to speak with a manager, I was transferred to Guest Assistance. I was told my reservation could not be modified because the cancellation/modification period had passed – despite being repeatedly told by your staff that it could. This back-and-forth has wasted hours of my time, caused me stress during work hours, and has left me feeling deeply disrespected as a customer. I had hoped to celebrate an important life milestone with Hilton, but this experience has left me feeling completely devalued.

The hotel is great if you are looking for a place to relax with great views. The staff is super friendly and there is a lot of security because of the location inside a national park. Coming in and out of the property can be a little difficult after 5pm given the national guard manning the entrance to the park. Be prepared to show your reservation information and answer a couple questions. I didn't have to pay the park entrance fee but I didn't return both days until after 5pm. The front desk informs you of the park fees.

We recently stayed at Mi Amor! . The setting is stunning and the ambiance is pure magic, but what truly makes this place unforgettable is the amazing staff.||From the moment we arrived, every single person made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine smiles made our stay feel so special — it’s the kind of hospitality you remember long after you leave.||Thank you to everyone at Mi Amor for making our getaway so relaxing and romantic. We can’t wait to come back soon!||—

This was our first time staying at this hotel, and our experience was mixed. On the positive side, the views from the property are stunning, and the staff was exceptionally polite, welcoming, and responsive to all our requests. However, there were a few aspects that raised concerns. Notably, guests are instructed not to dispose of toilet paper in the toilet due to potential clogging issues. While understandable from a plumbing perspective, this practice felt unhygienic. Installing bidets could be a more suitable alternative to improve guest comfort. Additionally, the shower design was unusual—the absence of a door or proper partition caused water to flood the bathroom floor after each use. Lastly, given the hotel’s distance from the airport, expanding the parking facilities would greatly enhance convenience for guests arriving by car.

Very secluded and romantic hotel for couples Rooms purposefully have no television. Good quality bed and bathroom. Hilton gold breakfast allows any option in the menu and juice or coffee. Minus one for location as you have to pay the $415 peso park entrance fee. Taxis are expensive so it's very costly if you want to visit downtown tulum and return to hotel. $25 each way.

Great experience staying here! Lovely hotel with great romantic packages and good food options. It’s more secluded and not overcrowded. They also have sister hotels that you can visit and get some drink discounts for visiting. This location is beachfront cliffs with cabanas and in the national park area.
