One of the Worst Hotel Stays I’ve Ever Had (Booked via Expedia) I booked Mi Casa Hotel in Orlando through Expedia, and unfortunately this turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place truly deserves it so other travelers don’t go through the same nightmare. Cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable. The room was extremely dirty from the moment I entered. The bed sheets were torn and worn out, clearly not changed properly. The microwave inside the room was rusted, which is completely unhygienic and shocking for a hotel room. The overall condition of the room gave the impression that cleanliness is simply ignored at this property. Bathroom and hot water issues: The bathroom was poorly maintained, and to make things worse, the shower water was freezing cold every morning. Having no hot water in the morning is unacceptable, especially for a hotel that claims to provide basic comfort. Terrible staff attitude and service: The behavior of the staff was extremely disappointing. They were unfriendly, and unhelpful. No one seemed to care or take responsibility. There was no apology, no effort to fix the problems, and no sense of customer service at all. Breakfast was awful: The breakfast was another major disappointment. The quality was very poor, options were extremely limited, and everything looked cheap and unappetizing. Calling this “breakfast” is misleading at best. Overall condition and value: This hotel feels old, neglected, and badly managed. For the price paid through Expedia, I expected at least basic cleanliness, working facilities, and respectful staff, none of which were provided. Final verdict: Dirty rooms, torn bedding, rusty appliances, freezing showers, terrible breakfast, and disrespectful staff. I would never stay here again and strongly do NOT recommend Mi Casa Hotel to anyone. Save your money and book literally anywhere else.

I recently booked a stay at this hotel 12/30/25-01/01/26. I checked in around 11:30pm, but didn’t go straight to my room because I needed to go to Walmart that is less than 5 min away. I got back to the room 135 after 1am. I checked the beds to make sure there weren’t any bed bugs. I didn’t find any bed bugs, but there was hair on the sheets. I was disgusted, but there was another bed in the room that was ok, so I was just going to sleep in that bed. No biggie. The remote was very sticky and nasty. I checked the bathroom next and a baby roach met me. My 5yr old son started freaking out at that point, stating he was ready to go home. I picked up the phone to call down to the front desk and there was another roach running around in the cradle. I immediately grabbed all my stuff, and physically went down to the front desk. The receptionist didn’t look surprised when I told her there were roaches, and I also showed her the pics. She then gave me a key to room 350 to check out to see if I wanted to stay there. This room immediately smelled like mildew when opening the door. Beds checked out ok. The tub was full on running and wouldn’t turn off, but I wasn’t paying the bill. I tried to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work at all, so I had to call from my cell phone. When opening the door to go back downstairs there was mold all around the door frame. I felt like my hands were tied that late in the evening to find another hotel. 10/10 would never recommend this hotel. The staff was nice though.

This was a very depressing hotel. It is very true that you get what you paid for. This was not a hotel, but more of a motel. There was one towel in the bathroom, when went to go ask for more towels at the reception desk, was told that I would have to wait for the housekeeper in the morning. How can there be no towels when being asked and would have to wait. That is most laziest employee I have ever encountered. If the employee is lazy and doesn't feel like working or grabbing an extra towel for a guest then why are you even employed there. Waited until the morning to get a towel and the morning receptionist easily grabbed the towels for me. If you can avoid staying here, try. They are not guest friendly. There was mold on the ceiling and the bathroom showerhead was leaking water everywhere. Definitely not a clean place to stay. The towels need to be bleached as there were yellow stains on them or burned really. Get it together Mi Casa Hotel. You definitely are not representing Florida hotels. Why even stay operating if your hotel looks run down in the inside.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so poor that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. The property feels completely abandoned and lacks any basic standard of hospitality. The Check-in Ordeal The frustration began the moment I arrived. There were significant issues with my reservation that took over an hour to resolve. The staff seemed unequipped to handle the situation, making for a very stressful start to the trip. Room Conditions The state of the room was, frankly, unacceptable: • Cleanliness: The room was visibly dirty and had a very unpleasant odor that wouldn't go away. • Pests: I was shocked to find insects inside the room. • Maintenance: The furniture is extremely old and worn out. • Comfort: The towels were so rough and stiff they felt like sandpaper. Breakfast Experience Don't count on getting a good meal here. The breakfast was horrible, with very few options and poor-quality ingredients. To make matters worse, they close the buffet at 9:00 AM, which is incredibly early and inconvenient for most guests. Verdict The general state of the hotel is terrible. It looks neglected and poorly managed. I would strongly advise looking for other accommodations in the area. I will not be returning.

This hotel goes back to the early nineties and used to be a Comfort Suites and later a Quality Inn before switching to private ownership in 2022. Because of the age, some areas need better maintenance and cleanliness. During our stay the hot water was out for two days, the internet on the third floor did not work, and the elevator was out of service which made getting luggage to the second and third floors very difficult. The continental breakfast was ok. The scrambled eggs were very watery. The sausage and pancakes were acceptable. Parking and building upkeep also need attention. Most rooms do not have proper “Do Not Disturb” signs. The staff was friendly and tried their best, but many issues are out of their control. Despite the problems, the location is excellent and the rooms are spacious. If you need a budget friendly place mainly for sleeping and convenience, it can still work. With stronger management and better upkeep, this property could improve a lot.

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The hotel is extremely old, poorly maintained, and in terrible condition. The moment you walk into the room, you’re hit with a strong, unpleasant smell that never goes away. The room was dirty floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the bathroom was filthy, and the sheets did not feel fresh at all. To make matters worse, there were bugs in the room, which is completely unacceptable under any circumstance. The furniture is worn out, broken, and outdated. Everything feels neglected and falling apart. Nothing looks like the photos online this place is run-down and clearly not cared for. Service was just as bad as the room. Staff were unhelpful, unfriendly, and seemed completely uninterested in addressing any complaints. When issues were mentioned, nothing was done. This hotel is not just “budget” it’s unsanitary and uncomfortable. I would never stay here again and strongly recommend others spend a little more money elsewhere to avoid this nightmare.

The only good thing about this room was how close it was to the activities we had planned for our vacation. I was given room 347 and end up in rom 114 and they both were disgustingly dirty and smelled of mildew. I had to go to Walmart and buy products to clean the room and buy my own sheets, pillows and pillowcases. The photos shown on the website are not accurate in today’s time. I was so disappointed. And angry due to the fact I had to stay in this room for 6 nights with my children. Wish I had the money I needed to change rooms. Horrible!!

⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Disgusting and Unacceptable This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced, and I would strongly warn anyone against staying here. From the moment we arrived, the room was dirty and poorly maintained. There were bugs and roaches everywhere, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel. The sheets were dirty, the bed was broken, and the blanket was also damaged, making it uncomfortable and honestly disgusting to sleep in. The entire room had a strong smell of weed, including the bathroom, which was overwhelming and unpleasant. On top of that, the bathroom door does not close properly, and the front door to the room doesn’t even close all the way, which made us feel unsafe the entire time. The couches were broken and heavily stained, showing clear signs of neglect and lack of cleaning. Everything in the room felt old, worn down, and unhygienic. On the second night of our stay, our key card stopped working, and we were locked out of our room. We had to go all the way back down to the front desk, only to be given a completely different room instead of a proper fix, which was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. What makes this even worse is that I read a review from over a year ago mentioning that the ice machine was broken, and shockingly, it still has not been fixed. This clearly shows that management does not care about maintaining the property or addressing guest complaints. Overall, this hotel is dirty, unsafe, smells bad, and is severely neglected. Nothing about this stay was comfortable or relaxing. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else.

Yelp
If I could give a zero star rating I would first room we had looked like the ceiling over the tub was going to cave in and collapse room had musty order. When we got the second room musty smell once again this time the toilet is always running, shower water is lukewarm at best. Yup time to book somewhere else

Yelp
Our room a/c didn't work so they moved us to another room. They gave one towel and when I asked for another towel they told us we had to bring the dirty ones down to the front desk to be replaced! They only clean the rooms every 3 days as well- the place was crap!

Yelp
The only good thing was the bartender at the tiki bar. Stayed three nights and tried to get ice about ten times and no ice I think they were all broken. I asked for towels and they didn't have any. The sink was stopped up. They didn't have room service and the place is rundown and dirty. The breakfast was lousy. I won't go back

Yelp
Save your $55 per night and skip this crap hole. They say you get what you pay for, but this place isn't worth $55/night, more like $20/night if that. I've traveled across the U.S. and several other countries and this was the worst hotel experience. My room had mold, white bugs, bed bugs, clogged sink and clogged toilet plumbing issues, dust everywhere, stains on the walls and linens, hair that was not my own in the sheets, termites on the wooden bed frame, and my shower was cold even on full hot setting. I lasted an hour in that *crap* hole then checked out at the service desk, all I received was a sorry. I asked for a refund for the following nights booking and they denied my request and instead gave me a 3rd party phone number to call, request an email for the refund, and once I receive that email then the hotel would be able to give me a refund. My booking also had an added insurance fee to protect my stay and this location did not follow the insurance's guidelines. Do not book here ever. Sorry I didn't get any photos to share, I couldn't run out of that place fast enough.

Yelp
EVERYTHING! This place is a nitemare! I walked into the lobby and knew I was gonna have a problem. It wasn't very inviting. It looked OK at best. Had to go outside to get into the room almost like a motor lodge experience. Got to the room it smelled musty. It was nasty. I took pictures, but you have never ever in my lifetime. Stay in the place this horrible. Went to the bathroom. There was brown stuff staining all over the walls that clean somebody's hair on the floor. There was rust in the drain stopper in the tub there were no hand holes too small but they were called bath towels, and one face towel. It smelled horrible inside. this place should be condemned is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
