We've just driven south down the Carretera Austral (Ruta 7) and then north again. This place was a wonderful find. We enjoyed coffee and cake, a perfect pit stop on our very long journey. It was the best coffee we had on the trip! The service was friendly and efficient and everything about the restaurant, including the toilets, was spotlessly clean.

Outstanding food and the perfect pit stop to just relax. The food is down-home and ample. Creative touches on traditional dishes served by genuinely warm locals makes this a favorite. I'll be stopping here again on my way back through.

Cute restaurant + cafe with wifi access! Recommend stopping in if you want a coffee/sweet treat/meal or need internet while on the road.

We both ate at the restaurant and stayed in the rooms so here are two separate reviews. Restaurant (4 stars): the prices are decent, they offer menu for 11000 pesos, which includes soup, main course and desert. Not all food was equally good, some thing were great, some very avarage. Waiters are polite, although a bit slow. There is small children's playground, which our 5-year old appreciated. All in all, pleasent place to stop by. Rooms (3 stars): as we arrived to La Junta we did not have any reservation for a place to stay so we asked for availability while having lunch in the restaurant. It was already late in the afternoon and we decided to stay in one of their rooms. The room was clean but cold, there is no heating. It is quite noisy, all the rooms are adjecent one to another and you can clearly hear people speaking in other rooms. The price is pretty high. If we had more time and energy, I would have searched for better value for money.

After hours on the road we wanted to take a quick rest with a cup of tea/coffee and kuchen. The person at the counter ignored us and kept us waiting for quite a while. Then we were told that all restaurant was booked, even chairs with a small coffee table (nobody sitting there), also taking the order to the outside patio wasn't an option. We have been traveling Chile for a fortnight, but never experienced such bad service.

We (3 people) went to eat here and we were told that we could only have two to a table and that one person would have to sit alone because the town was in fase II and the law required it (not true). We told the host that was fine but we were not interested in making one member of our party eat alone. As we started to walk away the host / owner started to yell after us "You have to respect the law in Chile!" and when we stated we were not arguing with "the law" we simple were not interested in eating there she yelled "Go eat your bread in the plaza then!".

Super nice and helpful people!!! We needed some help to figure out how to get to Argentina and the stuff was really nice and tried to help! We had coffee, beer and a cake - all great 👍 thank you ❤️

The food tasted bad. It was sold as fresh, but actually was microwaved food. We asked for trouts as it was announced at the menu; they brought us the microwaved salmon. When we complained to the owner, she said it was a pink trout (!!!). We replied and then she admitted that she bought 20kg of that pink trout and needed to sell it.
