Thursday is the art walk, so we assumed they'd be busy and we made a reservation the night before. When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation, they checked with several people and I showed them the confirmation email and eventually they just decided to seat us (party of 2).
The restaurants courtyard is beautiful. The location is right on the town square. Unfortunately the prices are in line with major US city pricing, not mexico pricing. The food was hit and miss.
My wife had a Jamaica Martini that she liked. They were out of the cheaper domestic beers so I had to pay 3x as much for a mediocre "craft" beer. The smoke salmon appetizer was excellent. The tortilla soup was OK, but not great. The lamb stuffed pepper was no good, I took a couple bites and decided I wasn't that hungry. It was very disappointing because stuffed peppers are my favorite when we come to mexico. The lamb in it was VERY chewy, and it was paired with a tomatillo sauce which does not pair well with an Anaheim chile (would have paired better with a poblano). My wife had the grilled giant prawns. The prawns themselves were delicious, but the risotto it was on top of was way over creamed. We skipped dessert.
Only reason it still got 3 stars is because the atmosphere was cool and the price (though expensive) is probably in line with other locations in the immediate vicinity.
