Everything was very good and came with lots of food. It is a pretty basic place to eat where you won’t find to much unique food. Overall I would recommend if there’s not other options.

Google
Could not have been better. Everything was perfect. Incredible food, super friendly and fast service, great chill vibes. Got the passion fruit lemonade and the bean burger on mofongo and didn’t make it through a single bite without actual AWE. Best food in PR so far!

Emily Esch

Google
The best place we have found on all of Puerto Rico. Truly. Freshest fish in the fish tacos. Homemade everything including lemonade the size of my head in delicious flavors. Friendly and fast service. Great back yard atmosphere. A must visit if you’re up near El Yunque or Fajardo or Carabali adventure park. We have a few more days here and I’m trying to decide how many of them can include a meal here…

Google
Really cute coffee restaurant with a nice backyard when you can enjoy some fresh homemade limonade or cocktails and a very good meal! I personnaly went for the Chuleta Kan Kan, a Puerto rican specialty that was amazing and couldn't fit in my plate ahaha The service was also very kind and quick

Google
They have got decent vegetarian options. Ordered their veggie wrap with avocado, veggie quinoa empanadas, and veggies quesadilla. It was very satisfying. I must say the mango mojito was the best cocktail I ever had, which was made with fresh mangoes, limes and mint. If you are a vegetarian and looking for decent options, this place will not disappoint you. Their home made garlic and hot sauce was icing on cake. Loved it.

Google
Very clean. Super nice staff. Coffee is great of Cibales... natural juices...ah sandwiches to pancakes , great breakfast/brunch. We came here 2 times during our visit in the town.

Google
We stopped by for a quick to-go order, and I was pleasantly surprised! The service was fast, which is always a win when you're on the go. The staff was friendly, and they got my order ready in no time. Food was fresh we ordered Veg Empanadas, it was flavorful and exactly what I needed. Despite being a takeout order, everything was packed neatly, and the food held up well during the short drive home. For anyone in need of a speedy, satisfying meal, this place is a great choice. I'll definitely be back for another quick bite!

Great burgers..I recommend trying the onions rings...they are huge

Yelp
Wow! One of my favorite meals in PR! After hiking El Yunque rainforest, we were hungry for an early lunch. We pulled over initially when we saw the gift shop signs. When we came back to the car, we noticed Mi Vida Cafe and Burger shared the parking lot with the gift shop. I looked it up on Yelp and saw the great reviews, and we gave it a shot. When we walked in we noticed all the fried street foods to go, and the waitress from the far back waved us in. We got to the back patio and were initially nervous about the pouring rain and hot temperature. To our surprise, all of the industrial fans combined with the rain (we were under a huge roof) kept us really cool! It was very nice. We ordered pina coladas and a guava cream cheese empanada to start. We earned it from hiking! If there is guava on the menu- we are ordering it! The guava cheese empanada was the BEST empanada we had on the whole trip. OMG so decadent and delicious. I think it was only $3 or $4 and was enough to share. Make sure to order this delicious dessert empanada. I checked out the reviews to see what to order and was surprised that the grouper was a hit even though I thought it was a burger restaurant. I got the breaded fish wrap and added avocado. The fish was so flaky and fresh. This wrap was exactly what I needed. I upgraded my side to mofongo and LOVED the house jalapeno sauce to dip it in. I highly recommend this unassuming spot for a delicious lunch. My boyfriend got the grilled chicken wrap and the homemade chips, which were like thin cut fries. We both loved them. We both had leftovers and the prices were reasonable. Our service was good too. great experience!

Daisy R.

Yelp
Great little cafe and burger place right at the entrance to the Colinas del Yunque. Quaint little patio. Enough fans to keep you cool. Very nice staff. Burgers are made fresh to order. Highly recommend!

Angeleah B.

Yelp
Food was very good. It's an outdoor place so there is no air conditioning but there is a mister. The service was good and food was not too crazy over priced. Overall would go again and recommend the empanadas.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
My family and I went here after we spent the morning hiking in El Yunque. This was recommended to us by a person from the area as a local gem to check out. We are so glad we did! It is unassuming on the outside but wonderful seating in the back garden area. There are giant fans to promote air circulation and ward off insects. The waitstaff was very kind and accommodating to our group of six (4 of our group being indecisive kids ). The food came out quickly and was delicious. The burgers are huge and the lemonades were tasty.

Tira M.

Yelp
The perfect lunch spot at the foot of the El Yunque Rainforest. Grouper with Taro Chips: A+++. Best grouper I've had at any restaurant, including the mainland USA. Fresh and nicely seasoned. The taro chips were a revelation! And the price was astonishingly reasonable. El Yunque Burger: A+. I generally don't enjoy restaurant burgers, but this one is a winner. Just try it. That's all I have to say. Chicken wrap: A. Even this was really good with the addition of the sweet plantains. Housemade potato chips and sweet potato chips: A+. Their preparation is different and somewhat rustic.

Yelp
What a beautiful lil gem! We came here yesterday I search of some Good coffee and a lil dessert! Mi Vida did not disappoint! In addition to a full menu and a lovely little bar they also have yummy dessert empanadas, cakes, and brownies. They also serve coffee, iced, and hot. They have a beautiful tin roof covered outdoor seating area that makes you feel like you're in the Yunque. This is a lovely restaurant! Stop by!!! Let's support local businesses!

Yelp
Open until 5PM and open for dine-in too. We were lucky to find a parking spot on the street no far away. It gets packed up in here. Mi Vida cafe. Vaccination cards to get inside. Seating out on their back patio. Has a relaxed feel in the back patio and it's not hot, since it's nicely shaded back here. Palm trees surround the perimeter of the patio. Golf irons are used for the poles for the shelving at the bar. The kitchen is in the front. Ordered a chicken wrap with added avocado and sweet potato fries and a crispy chicken wrap with regular fries. $2.50 for maybe a thumb spec of avocado. Only noted the avocado in two bites of the wrap. Speaking of chickens, there's one random floater chilling out and taking a stroll through the patio looking for food. There's a chicken coop next door, it escaped. A do not feed the animals sign on the fence. Food takes quite a while here. It's been at least a half hour since we ordered. It took almost 35 minutes to come out to us. We split the crispy chicken and the chicken wrap with avocado. Both were okay, we were starving. Neither was outstanding and both were dry of sauce or flavor. We both added our hot salsa to it and to get it down. The regular potato chips and the sweet potatoes were so-so. Some of the potato chips were wilted and soggy. The sweet potatoes were thick, tasted decent. $33.45 for our very average lunch today. The bill took rather long to come to us and as per usual here, they are slow to run our card so we can leave. Just come knowing things are super laid back and slow here. The ambiance is worth a trip, the food not so much. Maybe better to get some cocktails instead and just chill out here on their patio.

Lissette Q.

Yelp
Perfect little spot for drinks after a swim. Walked in for a drink to go but would definitely come back and dine in. Bartenders are friendly. Must try coconut mojito

Joelle G.

Yelp
WOW! Went here for a late lunch/early dinner with our family after a day of zip lining and exploring El Yunque-so glad I found this place and brought our crew here. Everyone loved their food! My daughter has a gluten allergy so I get a little nervous at restaurants-especially on vacation-but did not need to be nervous at all here. The servers spoke English and helped us figure out the best choices for my daughter. Highlights for our family were the huge glasses of homemade lemonade (get the coconut/brown sugar) and the mofongo-I'm going to be dreaming about that for a long time. Also the covered patio was a real treat. We wound up eating during a short rain burst and didn't get a drop on us. We are staying nearby and plan to go again before we leave PR. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!!

Alondra C.

Yelp
Food was great however customer service my unacceptable. Our server (Yashira) was extremely unprofessional, she did not check up on us a single time. Horrible hospitality as a new person coming into Puerto Rico.

Dawn W.

Yelp
Best Grilled Grouper Tacos on the island! Fresh Catch! Best Service and Staff...the cook is a master chef...seriously best fresh catch grouper tacos on the island!!! You must experience...let me know what you think :) ask for grilled option...

Uma P.

Yelp
excellent place! located very close to el yunque rainforest in a cute area, they do close a little early at times so careful of that! wonderful place after a hike or visit to the forest. it has a pretty big outdoor back area with beautiful seating. delicious drinks (mango mojitos) and empanadas! so so good all of it really! good portion fish tacos and sweet plantains and their burgers are AWESOME! i do recommend the tacos, i don't live fish tacos but these were yummy. they have lots of sauces too. the day was also beautiful and our server Eric- fantastic! dessert was good, go with the nutella empanadas, with ice cream as well. the gauva cake was different, not my style but still good. great prices, amazing service and delicious food. you can't go wrong! parking across the street. vaccination proof to enter. wear a mask.

Charlie S.

Yelp
Cool backyard spot. Ordered the Yunque Burger and it did not disappoint. Rest of my group enjoyed their burgers and chicken sandwiches. Best food I've had on my trip to PR so far.

Erica F.

Yelp
Definitely a hidden gem! Theres parking for the restaurant next door at a paring lot and it is free for patrons. This is a very island vibe cafe/ restaurant with nice and bright decor! The place is so nice and the vibe is light and fun. Perfect lunch spot! This is off the beaten path to the yunque forest. They are a very rustic vibe almost like a side of the road bar, with a gourmet hamburger art atelier vibe. The entire place has very clever paintings on the walls and very fun things written! Mango Mojito- smaller than I am used to in terms of size, but it was pretty good and tasted very refreshing and fruity. So here they have choices of creative buns such as, mofongo, plantain and regular bun that may come with the particular burger. I would tell you that here the creativity is worth it, give it a try and let go of the traditional bun at least here. COQUI BURGER (MOFONGO BUN)- The mofongo bun is impossible to hold so I ate it with fork and knife, none the less this was hands down the best burger I have ever had in my entire life!!! the mogonfo bun was pretty amazing but what made me love this burger so much was the meat itself, I generally hate burgers at restaurants cause the feel heavy and too much meat, however here even though the patty was nice and thick, it still tasted cooked to perfection and light as a cloud. I ate the entire thing and did not think twice, they are freaking magical with their burgers here. NUTELA EMPANADA- they are known for this dessert here. they will heat it up so it is nice and warm for you when you are ready to have it, and let me tell you that ABSOLUTELY YES YOU ARE READY TO HAVE IT! this empanada is perfect! the right amount of sweet and at the same time does not make you feel like u are eating an entire pound of sugar! it is so perfect there is nothing remotely negative I can say about this empanada, do me a favor and have it!!!!! For the sides of the burgers they have everything from regular and sweet potato fries all the way to TARO fries!!! and the TARO fries are super amazing!!!! go for them for sure. I am an absolute fan of this spot!!! the burgers here are to die for and they even have their own special sauce the let me tell you, enhances the flavors even more. This was food porn at its best and I cannot wait to come back here for more!

Ryan S.

Yelp
We stayed in this area for a week and hit this place up twice, excellent food! Service is good as well, drinks are amazing too! Highly recommend!

Mike T.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted to have a little something to eat after exploring the rain forest but we weren't very hungry. We stopped in here and were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the place in the back. It was like a little oasis with an assortment of plants giving it a homey and local flavor. There were even a few chickens running around. We just ordered the homemade empanadas and a couple of drinks. Everything was delightful, service was great, and best of all it was very inexpensive. I recommend this place if you just feel like kicking back and relaxing for a bit in a pleasant atmosphere.

Justin H.

Yelp
Best burgers in the area. Great place to eat if staying nearby. Best of all the places that we tried while here.

Aparna B.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a good review, but I really can't. There wasn't anything remotely great about this place other than the fact they had a veggie burger on the menu. We were the only people in the whole place and it took over an hour to get our drink, then another 45 minutes to get our food and they got our order wrong. The term "island time" is a real thing.

Xia Y.

Yelp
Stumbled into this place after ziplining in the Rain Forest. Great service but food could improve. I had a grilled chicken sandwich. It was extremely hot and greasy--burned my tongue even after sitting there for a few minutes. The potato chips were probably my favorite. Other than that, nice ambience and nice, clean bathrooms.

Jeff L.

Yelp
Read a review on Yelp for a place that was casual and close to where we stayed and found Mi Vida. What a great little find! Stepped out back to what was a very cozy, sports-bar atmosphere with classy Christmas decorations. The empanadas were an excellent choice for an appetizer and both teenagers ordered the house made lemonade. Best kept secret on the menu! They were huge and filled with strawberries and mango, respectively. The food was just what we needed after a long flight to the island and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Hats off to a great experience! I think we'll be back for another meal on this trip!

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Great casual burger joint. The staff was attentive and the patio was cute. I'll be back here in the future.

Chris V.

Yelp
Great food and service with a tremendous ambiance. We sat on the back patio, had the best empanadas of our trip, a really good croquette and then the Grouper Tacos were awesome. Fast service, food was very hot, and servers were great even with some language barriers. Highly recommend, just off main road.

Sam F.

Yelp
Get the Yunque Burger - it's an American burger with avocado and amarillo (fried sweet plantain) - it was savory and had a hint of sweet - kinda like a Hawaiian burger with the pineapple. Great taste, cook to perfection, bun was nice and didn't break. Me and my gf weren't that hungry after riding the ATV at Hacienda Carabali but wanted to fill up without spending too much - this was the perfect place.

Nellimar G.

Yelp
Excelente!!!! Los balaitos onion rings espectaculares. los wrap al yunque deliciosos y el mofongo fuera de estupendo. Servicio excelente! puedes traer tus mascotas!!

Meg r.

Yelp
Truly a surprise to find a delicious burger so close to our hotel at Wyndham rio mar. Easy ride over in a cab from the hotel for $10. Note: it was $5 back as we stopped a cab coming down from the hotel. Such a big delicious lemonade in a plastic qt. container. Better than a beer this afternoon on our lunchtime supply run to get food prior to expecting rain. Affordable tasty burgers! The stuffed one my fella got was cooked medium as requested and was delicious with some house made potato chips! I got the simple, single patty burger with the piece of bacon and sweet potato chips, cooked perfectly medium. Both were so tasty and I am happy that we didn't break the bank on another hotel meal and got away for some local food experience. They do have tacos, fish and some other items, but it's got Burger in the name, so you can't go wrong with what they're known for. I saw they had a nice big sunny patio area in the back of this place, but we weren't offered a seat out there, so if you want to sit outside after a trip to the rainforest, ask to sit out back. So glad the owner of Peccas Ice Cream business suggest this place the day before when I was getting a scoop! As a side note: the guys cooking up the food were smiling in the open kitchen when I told them the burgers were amazing! Gotta love an open kitchen to pay compliments directly to the cooks!

Tana W.

Yelp
A really wonderful spot for lunch. The ambiance is great, with the outdoor seating area, the bar and decorations. The fish tacos are great, the onion rings are amazing -- and should be shared because they give you a lot, and the fresh lemonade is really special. The service is also consistently good. Definitely recommend!!!

Jason N.

Yelp
I love this place. Ate here five years ago and enjoyed it. Came back just a week ago and it's even better!!! The guanabana juice is to die for!!! The plant based menu is rock solid. Sit in the back patio to get that garden feel. You won't be disappointed! A true gem in the shadow of El Yunque.

Dia S.

Yelp
Only people there yet took forever for the food to arrive. Didn't like anything we ordered, Standoffish attitude.

Mark H.

Yelp
Perfect. We just landed, starting a week long getaway and just wanted something to get us settled while we planned out the rest of our first day. The seating area on the patio was welcoming and comfortable just like the people. We all got burgers that were amazing. My son and I particularly enjoyed the "special sauce"... a mayonnaise based concoction with jalapeños and some other goodness in there. It hit the spot, and I'm expecting we will be eating here a few times over the course of our stay. Probably trying the fish tacos next...

Maria R.

Yelp
We stayed in the area and googled a place for lunch. That was how we learnt about it. Ended up going twice. De-li-cious! We had fish and chips, fish tacos, burgers, quasadillas, pina colatas. Nutella and Guava empanadas. Wow. Unbelievable. I even bought a white sauce freshly made in the blender and vac packed, so i could take it to Boston with me. Spicy mayo type of thing. Just out of this world. The waiters are super helpful if you don't know what you want. The chef: genius. LOVE

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and really friendly service, burgers and onion rings were excellent!

Troy B.

Yelp
Great food, great service and you can't beat the ambience of this gem. It was worth the find!

Carly M.

Yelp
Simple menu but food was delicious! Cute patio dining area. Staff was very friendly. 4/5 stars just because I think the prices are a little higher than the quality.

Ben M.

Yelp
The food is hit and miss (empanadas good burgers and chips bad) and they got our order wrong after confirming it twice. Big waste of money and time.

Kyle S.

Yelp
Great food and a huge, beautiful mojito.monitor. Definitely worth checking out after a long hike at El Yunque.

Revathi N.

Yelp
Delicious mix of classic American with a Puerto Rican fare. Perfect meal after hiking in El Yunque. Went with 3 kids and the restaurant was so accommodating. Eric was amazing. Don't miss out

Emily B.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant with a hidden patio through the back. The sandwich and the mojito were delicious. So glad we found it off the beaten path on our way back to San Juan.

Matt K.

Yelp
Very good food and service. This is our second year visiting PR and we came here last year and will keep coming back. Enjoyed the empanadas and quesadillas. Will go back.

David R.

Yelp
We stopped in for coffee and maybe some snacks....and it turned into, literally, a party!!! Genesis, Jonathan, and Alexandra were just fantastic. Attentive, informative and best of all...everything was beyond good. Alcapurrias, fish tacos, tostone burger, empanadas, quesadilla and the 32oz MOJITOS...32oz lemonade tooo! OMG!

Jason D.

Yelp
Such an phenomenal spot! Walked down the road after a zipline to enjoy fresh Mojitos, awesome atmosphere and killer fish tacos, all to have it topped off by the owner Raul giving us a ride back to our hotel instead of waiting for a cab! Couldn't have asked for a better afternoon to enjoy PR!!

Kelvin C.

Yelp
Merecen 10 estrellas.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Stopped here for an afternoon coffee after hiking all day in El Yunque. It's 7 min from the park exit. Nice small cafe with a full espresso drink menu. Delicious!

Lisa P B.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place 0 stars!!!! 1st: We were the only ones here and all 3 waitresses were serious fuchi faces they all looked angry and bothered. We all sat and our order was taken but 1 hour later we received our order and all the employees were very like miserable. 2nd. People kept coming in and out and getting shots but no one was eating...now I know why. 3rd. We ate our food which was Fish tacos and as we were getting home to Luquillo, my hubby had to pull over to vomit!!! He was so sick. Then after we got home I got sick with both vomiting and diarrhea. Please be careful eating the fish here! The owners should be ashamed at themselves for serving bad fish! I'm so pissed I'm not a tourist I live here and I can't believe all the excellent comments left by people! Just wow...

Gustavo F.

Yelp
Definitely worth stopping for some quick bites after a visit to Luquillo beach. The area is nice and friendly but most importantly the food is excellent. I'd recommend switching out the bun with tostones on your burger.

Christa R.

Yelp
Stopped here after leaving the rainforest. What a great choice! We were looking for a quick lunch. Such a cute place! The chickens running around made my 12 year old feel at home! Staff was great. Food was good. Would definitely go back!

Michael K.

Yelp
This is a must stop on your way to or back from El Yunque rainforest. It is located in the small town right before you begin the climb into the rainforest. Everything we ordered was 5 star. We got the chicken empanada and the veggie patty burger on mofongo bun with fries. Both were excellent. The empanada was baked and fresh and so delicious. We could have had 3! Highly recommend this. Our favorite was the veggie burger on mofongo bun....WOW!! Anyone who wants a great veggie option needs to try this.

Jayme S.

Yelp
We had a great lunch here. Treat yourself to a burger, lemonade, and a Nutella empanada. The fish tacos were very good, but the burgers are the way to go!

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
Very delicious!! We came because of the 5 star rating and confirmed that this is a great spot for food especially after hiking in El Yunque. Ambience was nice, seating was great, and the indoor decorations are very cute! Would definitely recommend!!!

David P.

Yelp
Food is decent but serving size is ridiculous. Ordered fish and chips and got maybe half a meal. Will have to go and grab more food somewhere else.
