Ho Chi Minh City: Where to Eat, Drink, Stay, and Play

"Mia Saigon, on the bank of the Saigon River in Thao Dien, is a newly opened hotel inspired by HCMC’s early 20th century Art Deco, with interiors showing French-Indochinese influences, from marble bathrooms to rattan chairs."

What it thus place makes up in size it makes up in exceptional derive, stunning and spacious rooms, and absolute relaxation just minutes from the city centre. ||Our room was beautifully appointed with separate living room, luxury balconies and a huge bathroom along with a separate toilet. ||The restaurant breakfast had a wide choice for every taste as well as local affair. Staff were manically busy yet still helpful and attentive. ||Doubling as a restaurant we tried almost everything on the menu and everything wax delicious especially the beef salad starter and bamboo chicken main course. ||Swimming pool area and garden are simply an oasis of tranquility over looking the Saigon river. ||Worth all its 5*. Highly recommended.

Mia Saigon is a serene luxury retreat about 30 minutes from the city center. While it's a bit removed from the bustling shopping districts like Saigon Centre and Ben Thanh Market, that distance is part of its charm. It offers calm, comfort, and exceptional service away from the chaos.||We were welcomed warmly with an early check-in, which was a big plus as we were traveling with our toddler. The room, though not large, was beautifully designed and the balcony view of container boats on the river kept our little one delighted throughout our stay. Rainy weather made the view even more magical.||The Kitchen by the River served an excellent breakfast, going beyond the set menu to accommodate our preferences. The staff were consistently warm and courteous. The complimentary boat service (10 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM) to the city was a unique touch that added to the experience.||The hotel’s design is elegant, resembling a miniature palace. Chocolates were thoughtfully placed on every floor. Especially the coffee ones, which were delicious. The pool was impeccably clean, usually quiet, and very comfortable to use. The staff were kind enough to extend our checkout and even allowed us to have our toddler’s online-ordered Indian meal in the restaurant, which most hotels would not permit.||Do note: it's not ideal for quick, hop-in-hop-out shopping trips. A one-way cab to Saigon Centre Mall costs around 200,000 VND, and airport transfers can range between 300,000–500,000 VND on Grab, depending on the time of day and surge pricing. However, there is a mall nearby for basic shopping needs.||The lobby is bright, filled with fresh flowers and natural light—and even has a quiet dog wandering around, adding to the boutique charm.||Big thanks to Ms. Vy, Mr. Shawn, Mr. Tuan, and Mr. Phuong - your warm hospitality made our stay extra special. We’d love to return, not just for the hotel itself, but for the people who made it feel like home. Like on the keycard cover, this place is truly a home away from home :)

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the picturesque Mia Saigon. The staff delivered excellent service, especially Shawn at Reception. He organized an enjoyable tour for us which included the floating market and part of the Mekong Delta. We did the Bamboo Massage at the O Spa and our therapist, Ms. Lieu A was exceptional. Definite 5 star for her. Food was amazing at the River Kitchen and the all round ambiance was breathtaking. Sunset on the 9th floor is a must see. Great overall experience at Mia. ||Peter

Mia was my best stay so far in Vietnam. New, clean, spacious room with a decent view. They have complimentary yoga classes and ferry shuttle to district one. Service was good, bar is pretty, breakfast has extensive selection. It is also near spin / reformer studios. Lovely find.

The service provided during our entire 6-day stay has been excellent in every aspect. The Mia Saigon team is young, energetic and very client oriented. Most of all the whole team has a very pleasant personality and is able to develop a good rapport with the guests. This made our stay a very memorable one. ||Every morning, at breakfast, the restaurant team - Trang, Sam, Nhung, Yan Anh and the others - did their best to accommodate our requests. They knew exactly what we liked and made sure that we have those. At the front desk - lily, khang, Shawn, Jimmy and Tan - were always very helpful and accommodating. A special word of thanks to Yen, Chau and Kendal. We discovered so many things and nice places in Saigon whixh makes us want to return soon. All the best and continue the excellent work at Mia Saigon.

Beautiful, luxury hotel with superb service. I accidentally booked the wrong month with a non-refundable booking. The hotel immediately offered to change the booking although it was a non-changeable and non-refundable booking. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area right by the river. The view on the river from the hotel rooms is amazing. If you know Saigon, then you know how loud it usually is. I never expected to find a hotel located so centrally that is so quiet and peaceful – sitting on the balcony with the fan on low speed and dimmed lights is incredibly relaxing, especially if you have spent the day in the loud center of the city. The room is very clean, large and also has a large bathroom with everything you need. Bed is big and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Cocktails on the rooftop bar are good, although a bit (too) sweet. For Vietnamese standard the breakfast is good. Don’t expect all options that you usually find in western hotels. I hope I will come back soon.

I stayed here on my first trip back to Vietnam in over 30 years and I have to say it is one of the best experience I’ve had during my stay. 😊 The hotel is nicely tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of Saigon’s city centre. The hotel was so beautiful and reminded me of the romantic 1920’s era with their amazing decor and settings. Our rooms were immaculate and truly gorgeous with the added personal touch of our initials on the pillows. The hotel was so scenic, from their large pool, to the flowery arbours, to the gorgeous view of the Saigon skyline at nighttime. 🌇 The food in the restaurant was delicious and we tried many of the dishes for breakfast everyday. 🍜 The staff there were warm and friendly as well as accommodating. They even had a gym which is not usually available in Vietnam I was told. I couldn’t have asked for more and wish my stay there was longer. I would totally recommend anyone travelling to Vietnam to stay here you will not be disappointed. Angela
