"Hit the Nantucket Links While there are several private golf clubs where you have to play "who-do-you-know" to get on the course, the award-winning Miacomet Golf Club is open to the public. Operating throughout the year, this challenging 18-hole course offers first come, first served tee times four days in advance, which book quickly in-season. There is also a popular club house serving good food and drink."

Extremely Beautiful for a Wedding Shower 💗💙 The staff was completely available and unnoticeable while working 😊👍🏼 Superb in Service and Educated in what was in the food - I have food allergies and nobody had to go ask… they answered and quick to the point. Beautiful Day - Thank You 🙏🏼

Lovely course! The folks in the restaurant couldn’t have been nicer. I wish I could leave a review for the pro shop separately because the woman working could not have been less helpful or pleasant. We really wanted to pick up a few things but were too put off by her temperament to buy anything.

My husband and I are both seniors. He left his golf shoes in Florida and was attempting to purchase a pair in the golf shop. The attendant, Jack, never greeted us with so much as a good morning. He was borderline rude with us and several other customers. We had to ask him for assistance, which based upon his behavior, he did begrudgingly. Management at the club should review with Jack some if the finer points of good customer service and the importance of treating everyone with respect. We expected better...

First time having dinner here and it was Devine! Just telling you I totally recommend this place for dinner plus the drinks were spot on tasty! Thanks for a great dining experience! And yes the Lamb was awesome! 5 stars! Delish!

We enjoyed a great round at an amazingly well kept course. Unfortunately for our timing here they had just aerated their greens but I know the work that goes into keeping courses this great so we took it in stride and won’t hold it against them, as far as aerated greens went, this played the most true which we appreciated. There’s not a bad hole out there and the staff was more than helpful. Their rentable clubs are great compared to almost all sets I’ve used on my travels. One of the rare courses where I leave with many more golf balls than I started with!

Pricey, well-kept 18-hole public course on Nantucket. Only public 18-hole course on the island. The greens are great, the layout linksy, flat, walkable, and mostly straight. The staff isn’t the most pleasant and the on-course food and beverage offerings are sub-par but overall a solid experience.

The pro was very welcoming. We had a 5:45 pm time and the starter was so very accommodating and got us on #1 at 5pm. She took the extra step to help us. Got in 9 holes! Great day

Good food and service. Nice view of the golf course. It was chilly outside while we ate and the restaurant provides a shawl to cover up and warm up!

Yelp
Embark on a golfing journey like no other at Miacomet Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Nantucket, MA. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility, setting the stage for an unforgettable round. In 1956, Ralph P. Marble, a visionary from Michigan, acquired 400 acres of land on Nantucket with aspirations of establishing a dairy farm. Little did he know, this land would soon become the site of one of Nantucket's most beloved golf courses. The area, known as "Miacomet" by the Wampanoag people, meaning "The Meeting Place", held a special significance that would later shape the course's identity. Today, Miacomet Golf Club stands as a beacon of history, community, and exceptional golfing experiences. As you traverse its meticulously manicured fairways and navigate its challenging hazards, you can't help but feel a sense of reverence for the generations of golfers who have walked these same paths. Checking in at the modern clubhouse was a breeze, with friendly staff ready to assist with any needs. The seamless process had us geared up and ready to hit the links in no time. However, it's when you step onto the course that the true magic of Miacomet unfolds. Picture-perfect fairways stretch out before you, meticulously groomed to perfection. The greens? Simply immaculate. Each putt rolls true, a golfer's dream come to life. As you navigate through the undulating terrain and strategic hazards, you can't help but marvel at the beauty of Nantucket's landscape surrounding you. Designed to challenge and inspire, Miacomet Golf Club is a true golfer's paradise.

Yelp
I think this place forgot that it is a "public" course. $280 for 1 round is ridiculous. Doesn't care about the locals who keep the course running year round enough to even give them a sniff of a deal. Terrible money hungry greedy place

Yelp
We enjoyed a beautiful evening on the porch for dinner at Miacomet Restaurant. We had a reservation and were promptly seated any given menus. It was a wait before our server came to the table for our drink order followed by a few more delays with placing orders and times our food arrived. The food was so delicious. We all enjoyed an appetizer the arancini Two of us had the salmon dinner. It was so good. The others had the rib eye which was also cooked perfectly. The busing staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely return here in the future.

Yelp
Worst course I have ever played in my life. Impossible to get tee times. Absurdly expensive for greens that are worse than my local municipal course. Golf shop had a very negative attitude when I checked in. All around terrible experience.

Yelp
We golfed at Miacomet earlier this month with a group of 9 people-8 white people and 1 black person. I was in the foursome with our black family member. Despite us waiting on the tee box at every hole for the group in front of us, the white ranger scolded us for holding up the pace of play and then escorted us for several holes. Our other 2 groups who were immediately in front of us and immediately behind us reported that the ranger was friendly and cordial to them. If you aren't a racist, I would skip Miacomet (and Nantucket entirely).

Yelp
Comfortable atmosphere, terrific staff and good food at a reasonable price. Nice place to take young children too.

Yelp
First-time diners here and we were Not disappointed! Excellent service [Thanks, Quinn!] and the food was as good as any on-island restaurant. Swordfish and salmon dishes were exemplary, though I'd back off a bit on the salt. Chocolate dessert was very good and ample for 2 people. Drinks also top notch. We'll definitely be back to dine on the covered porch.

Yelp
Horrible disappointing family dinner. No wonder in over 54 years visiting the island have we never been here. Hostess was rude; swordfish was frozen and mashed potatoes came From a box. Never again

Yelp
Food is great! Course is beautiful and challenging. However, they only offer tee times online and it's an absolute joke. The tee times post one week in advance at 8pm. I've set alarms every day for the last two weeks and have been unable to secure a tee time. The website glitches, passwords aren't accepted so every time they need to be changed and in the 3 minutes it takes to log in EVERY TEE TIME IS UNAVAILABLE. Every other course I've ever played takes phone in reservations months in advance. It's only possible to play this course from October to May.

Yelp
We play at least 3 times per year and its always fantastic. One of the best public golf courses in america

Brattick H.

Yelp
Played in July 2018. Very windy and first time shooting at a links course. Hardly my best performance but what a beautiful course. Worth the $$$ if you're on the island.

Steve H.

Yelp
Played in October and course was in immaculate condition. Tournament-quality greens. Not the most memorable course but very fun, enjoyable layout and would strongly recommend to anyone. Exceeded expectations. Wouldn't want to pay full price in the summer (rephrase: absolutely would NOT pay full price). But for $70 and the great condition in the fall, hard to complain.

Yelp
We booked a tee time on a Monday for Tuesday @4pm; start of the cheaper rate. We arrived at 320pm. When we pulled up we saw about 40 high school golf players on the putting green and driving range. the starter did not let us go out early even though he knew there were going to be 40 varsity and junior varsity golfers(many inexperienced) on the course in front of us. The starter let us go off the back nine @4pm. We finished the first 9 in less than 90 minutes. We then went over to the front nine , first 3 holes we moved along - and then we had all the JV golfers in front of us. Foursomes and fivesomes playing; taking forever. We tried to go on another front nine holes - they were all clogged up. I think it is great having young people get into the game of golf but we should have been told when we made the tee time in person on Monday about the 40 high school players going out at approx. the same time as us - give us the option to rebook for another day . When we checked in at 320pm in the pro shop nothing was said to us either about the 40 players teeing off the same time as us. The course was in great shape - we just would have appreciated some communication and hospitality to be extended to us. No one at the course was friendly except for someone from the kitchen who was in the parking lot dumping some water out of a bucket as we left; she said hi. we bought shirts in the pro shop too - so we spent well over $200. for a disappointing experience.
