I have visited this place in December 2024 and again in November 2025 during annual open weekend, when they have also free guided tours about current exhibition and history and restoration of that place, outside tents with lots of kids/teen activities, food and coffee tracks.
Overall I like this place, but would not pay 12 euro to enter.
People need to also remember this is Contemporary Art place = contemporary art is built on challenging traditional artistic forms.
The whole place is interesting from historical and architectural perspective. Main building is split over 3 levels and the space inside is adjusted for every installation. Installations change every few months. Some stay longer and some shorter as per info from the guided tour.
There is also part to which you get following the ramp on right side before you go to main building. There is number of rooms with instalation related to perspective - it's very meaningful if you take the time to stop and think while watching the objects.
The staff was always polite, some members are very knowledgeable (ask at reception, if there is someone who has time to tell you about the place or look for staff members in red tshirts 😉) and some know absolutely nothing about the place (they are just there for security, in gray tshirts) and can make you feel intimidated by their close watch, but ultimately they have nothing else to do there so watching visitors is their only entertainment.
Don't understand why people complain about parking when there is a lot of free parking available just opposite of micas. But people probably expect to park by the door, unwilling to walk 2 minutes.
Also this place opened just a year ago and they keep expanding it and adding new elements like signs on the road to help people find this place.
