Everything here is comfort!! The food was amazing and beautifully plated. The wait to get a table is DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Will definitely come back for more when in town! I got the Stuffed Sopapaillas smothered with Green Chile...perfect 💚!

Went during lunch hour (12:30pm). Quite a line, BUT IT WENT FAST. Once we tasted our order, it was easy to see why the restaurant is so busy. The meal was delicious! I had the open faced hamburger with fries, all smothered in some of the best green chili I've ever eaten! My spouse had the Veggie tacos and they were great too! I'll be back when we come to Taos again.

Imagine waking up in the enchanting town of Taos, heart full of hope and stomach growling like a feral raccoon in a dumpster behind a Waffle House. You seek refuge in the legendary halls of Michael’s, where breakfast dreams either soar gloriously or gently deflate like a poorly folded omelet. We began our culinary adventure with the cinnamon roll—a pastry so enormous it could’ve doubled as a flotation device in a flood. This thing was the size of a toddler’s face and had real potential. Unfortunately, it suffered from what I call frosting neglect. When you commit to that much pastry, you better bring the icing like it’s the final round of The Great British Bake Off. A drizzle won’t do—it needed frosting by the ladle. It was good, but not quite the life-altering sugar bomb I was hoping for. My wife ordered the “Something Different” omelet, which basically translates to “add green chiles and suddenly it’s brunch with a kick.” And kick it did—flavorful, zesty, and enough to make her do that slow, satisfied nod that says, “Yes. This is my truth now.” Now, my order—the breakfast enchiladas—deserve their own mariachi soundtrack. Tortillas? Perfect. Sauce? A savory waterfall of joy. Eggs, cheese, meat, and spice all holding hands in breakfast harmony. And just when I thought the meal had peaked… Out came the sopapilla. Let me tell you, this wasn’t just a side item. This was a profound culinary event. I imagine it was made by an ancient New Mexican grandmother who only appears during moments of pure breakfast righteousness. Light, airy, golden perfection. If angels made pastries, they’d taste like this. It didn’t just compliment the meal—it completed it. A true sleeper hit that came out of nowhere and stole the show like a breakout star in a 90s rom-com. And let’s not forget the service, which was excellent from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to see us—not the fake “hostess-at-the-chain-restaurant” smile, but real people being awesome. We were seated quickly, served warmly, and left feeling like beloved breakfast royalty. All in all? A solid 4 out of 5 stars. Would I return? Absolutely. Will I be bringing my own emergency supply of frosting next time? Also yes.

This restaurant is one of the very best breakfast place. A nice variety of things to choose from. The place is full of local atmosphere. Servers cheerful and quick. Our food came out quicker than we expected, and was delicious. Highly recommend. Get there early, it is a busy place!

Prompted by numerous recommendations from friends, we recently visited Michael's Kitchen Taos in Taos, New Mexico. The bustling entrance and steadily moving line were early indicators of its popularity—and of the efficiency within. Despite the crowd, we were seated promptly. Established in 1974, Michael’s Kitchen has long held a reputation as a staple for both locals and travelers. Its longevity is matched by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bolstered by a team of staff who were attentive, courteous, and impressively poised amidst a packed dining room. The culinary experience was equally impressive. Dishes were served swiftly, and each was prepared with care and seasoned beautifully. Portion sizes were notably generous—particularly the appetizer, which could easily serve as a meal in itself. This is certainly a place where hearty appetites are well rewarded. While we missed the chance to sample their selection of baked goods and desserts, which had sold out by the time we arrived, that only gives us further incentive to return. Given the quality of the meal and the caliber of service, it’s clear why Michael’s Kitchen continues to draw praise more than five decades after opening its doors. What we ordered Main Dish - STUFFED SOPAPILLAS – Two delicate sopapillas stuffed with beans, cheese, onion and ground beef. Your choice of chile is ladled on, then crowned with guacamole and sour cream. - VEGGIE TACOS – Grilled peppers, onion, mushrooms and guacamole dripping with melted cheese, topped with lettuce and tomato. Appetizer MIKEY'S MESS – A platter of corn chips swimming in green chile sauce, covered with diced tomato, melted cheese, guacamole and sour cream.

Google
I believe this is the only five star review I left while visiting Taos, New Mexico. The food here was amazing and the portion size was more than you could eat. The price was very economical for the size of your meal. The atmosphere was outstanding. The wait staff is extremely courteous, professional, and polite. I can’t say enough about this place. I would definitely come back. If I was to live here, I would eat here 8 days a week. Grace who was our waitress was phenomenal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Google
Martin's breakfast burrito was really good. I go without cheese and Christmas.

Google
Pretty great. Used to come a lot when I was growing up. It’s clearly remained quite popular- it does get filled with tourists pretty quick so better to go earlier in the morning. The bakery might be the best part. You’re in a tourist town so it’s not super cheap anymore but it’s still pretty great. Crowded so slow service

Yelp
This restaurant is excellent! Went there twice recently for breakfast and it was delicious. Went had huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, breakfast enchiladas and a sweet roll. All were excellent as well as both their red and green chili sauce. Great service and coffee both days.

Yelp
We visited Taos, so we had to have breakfast at Michael's. Michael's makes the best breakfast burritos. I have yet to have one anywhere that compares. The staff is great--helpful and friendly. And the rustic ambiance has not changed. I just wish they'd open a branch in Los Angeles.

Yelp
Everything from the food, the service and the atmosphere was beyond excellent! Our server, Michael, was a rock star. So attentive, friendly and a hard worker! He was constantly refilling drinks and checking in on all his tables. We got here right before the breakfast rush so I'd recommend showing up before 10am. We did not wait long to be seated and were immediately asked for our drink orders. A few min later there was a line out the door, a testament to their great food! The service was impeccable. All the servers there were constantly bussing, taking orders, checking on their customers and even the people in line didn't seem to wait long to be seated. The food was so tasty! I got the huevos rancheros and hashbrowns, the flavor was to die for! Such an awesome diner and I see why it's so popular. Wie will definitely be back next time I return to NM for a visit!

Yelp
Michael's Kitchen is a Taos staple. Whenever we have guests in town we make sure we get a least one breakfast at Micheal's. The line is worth the wait! I've sampled quite a bit of their menu & everything has been great. My personal favorites include the Maneater breakfast sandwich & the hash-browns with red chile (sometimes I add fried eggs)

Yelp
Wow, this place gets busy around 10am! So glad we came in at 9. lol! Hubby and I ate here twice during our stay in Taos, and both times it was enjoyable. The first day, our service was stellar with a wonderful busser refilling our drinks often. Hubby loved the banana nut pancakes, while my Viva la French Toast was only okay. The next day, I devoured my cheese blintzes subbed with blueberry while hubs said the breakfast burrito was good but not stellar. I also had a side of hash browns with vegetarian green chile, and it was amazing! The red chile is cooked with meat and had kind of a Hormel flavor to it, so not my fave, but hubs enjoyed it. We took home a few pastries, and the texture of all was perfection! The giant sweet roll was crazy! I can't quite identify what they use instead of cinnamon, but it's nice and different. The more typical cinnamon roll was good, though I didn't care for the white icing. The apple fritter was still soft the next day and had a lovely flavor and texture. Overall, I can see why this place is a Taos staple!

Yelp
Love love love this restaurant. Food is always amazing and the baked goods are heavenly. We seem to always get the Poor Boy Benedict. Soooo good and filling. Then desert of a fritter. Yes dessert after breakfast lol. Whenever we treat friends, it's always to the apple fritters here. We can't go wrong, unless you don't call in your order lol. They go very quickly. Highly recommend this as a stop if passing through Taos. You won't regret it!!

Yelp
Michael's has been in town for 50 years. It never disappoints. My companions and I decided to try to get in on a Saturday morning and we had luck. The line was short and the service was quick. Even when the line is long, it is worth the wait. When you get to the restaurant, there is typically a line in the covered entrance, but you can bypass the line and go right to the bakery case. The restaurant is known for its sourdough bread, empanadas, and cream puffs. Since we were having breakfast, we looked at the bakery case to be tempted by the sweets. My companions and I were immediately served water and the waitress, it was very friendly, took our order. I ordered the rellenada Christmas style, and my companions both ordered the huevos rancheros One Christmas with a side of tomatoes, the other red chili with hashbrowns. I ordered an apple fritter appetizer because it is one of my favorites. The apple fritter was delicious, big chunks of apple not overly cooked so a little bit dough with a nice sugar glaze. The breakfast items hit the table shortly there after and were at feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. The pictures do not do the meal justice as the flavor of the green and red chili on my Rellenada with the softly scrambled eggs was absolutely delicious. My companions advised that the huevos rancheros was equally delicious and very filling. The green chili was nicely, hot and flavorful. Be lying to get in Michael's is justified, but the service is quick and friendly. Once you are complete with your meal, you pay at the cashier on your way out. They do a brisk business and the line moves quickly so do not be dissuaded. Any restaurant that has been around for 50 years knows what they're doing. Michael's never disappoints.

Yelp
Such a cute little diner, The staff was nice and my food came out pretty quickly. I got the two eggs with pancakes and sliced tomatoes, it was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Very impressed with the staff. Efficient, friendly and eager to please the patron. Food servings were generous and flavorful. Food was served quickly considering the place was filled to capacity and as we left there was a long line waiting to be seated. Will return for sure.

Yelp
Delicious, welcoming and local breakfast spot! Lots of New Mexico style menu items, if you love green or red chile this is the place for you! I had the smothered hash browns Christmas style and my friend had the breakfast enchiladas. We also shared a few bites of their GIGANTIC cinnamon roll! Good food, nice staff and low key vibe.

Yelp
If you like Northern food then maybe this is the spot to go. Their Reuben is sandwich is not an actual Reuben read the menu very carefully there's a lot of small print with warnings. We ordered the sandwich and they made us pay for it even though we didn't want it or eat it. Because it wasn't actual Reuben sandwich. Food wasn't that great. Their green chili is mixed with meat. Not good if you're looking for actual good green chili. The food overall is not great. Not a place I would go again unless it was the last resort in Taos. This place is overrated. There's definitely better places in NM to eat at. Not worth the wait. If you have to wait in line to eat here.
google avatar

Yelp
2nd time to Michael's and it was just as good as the first trip. Excellent food, friendly service. Nice mix of locals and tourist tells you something about the place. Pancakes are amazing at Michael's, highly recommend.

Yelp
Fabulous lunch. Had triple decker and BLT. Service was quick, refills kept coming, and everyone was pleasant. There was a short wait at 12:15 on a Saturday but the line moved quickly. A very busy place but the food was so worth it

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast while in Taos based upon Yelp reviews. Good atmosphere and they don't let your coffee get low which my husband appreciated. My daughter got the biscuits and gravy and rather than having crumbled sausage, they cut up link sausage and put them on top. Not my cup of tea but my daughter gave the dish a 5. I got the blueberry pancakes which were FULL of blueberries and they had more than enough blueberry compote on top. The pancakes were average at best, I've had much better. My husband got an omelette with toast and hash browns and he enjoyed his meal. They are getting a four because of the pancakes and my husband said the coffee was bitter.

Yelp
We pulled up at Michael's for breakfast before visiting Taos Pueblo only to find it sealed up like a tomb, dark and silent. The restaurant that is listed as open was closed up tight as a drum with no warning. Even now, their website proclaims, "We're open!" The signs in their windows state that they're shut until December 13 -- a good six weeks from now. Well, that seriously ruined our plans. It's not difficult to update a website or the hours on Yelp, but this place couldn't be bothered. Michael's Kitchen is a clearly a Taos institution because, like most of the rest of Taos, they couldn't give a damn about customers' convenience.

Yelp
I love to cook breakfast at home and don't go out often for it. Yesterday, I decided to try Michael's for brunch & all I can say is that I'm sorry I hadn't eaten here sooner! I was seated quickly and brought a steaming cup of coffee. The restaurant was busy, but all the staff was extremely friendly & gave some recommendations. I ordered the Veggie Omelette, which comes with two sides. I chose hasbrowns & the atole-piñon pancakes, which were both tasty. The Omelette was loaded with fresh veggies, cheese & topped with avocado. My coffee cup & water glass were always kept full without having to ask once for a refill. The amount of food was very generous & I had to take my pancakes home because I was too full! If you come to Michael's, have a hearty appetite & get ready for a wonderful meal. I can't wait to go back for lunch. Don't skip the bakery cases, either. I took home a strawberry & cream cheese croissant, and it was tasty!

Yelp
We always eat at Michael's, I've had the patty melt before, but today, don't know if the cook don't know what it is or what because my patty melt came as a slice of American yellow cheese, then a patty, then another slice of yellow American cheese on a grilled bread. That is NOT a patty melt. I ate it, didn't send it back, I'm not the type to do that, BUT I am the type to not go back.

Yelp
This was our last stop before heading home and the reviews looked good and a friend suggested we stop. I'll say it looks like it's been here a very long time! They do not seat in complete parties so make sure everyone is together. I ordered the enchilada breakfast which was okay. The chili red chili tasted a little like chili con carne and my husband ordered a burger. He loved that it was on a homemade bun and he enjoyed his burger very much and fries. My breakfast enchiladas were good but like I say, I've had better red sauce in New Mexico. We ordered some pastries to go and again OK not great. Would we go there again? Likely not. We will try another place.
google avatar

Barfa S.

Yelp
I've been coming here all my life and would eat here every day if I could. I always know I'll get a good meal. My favorites are the stuffed sopapilla with red sauce, the tamales Christmas style, and their waffle or pancakes with strawberries, bananas, and pecans for a sweet breakfast. Make sure to stock up on baked goods from the bakery! Heads up: it can get busy, but the wait is usually quick and worth it!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Wonderful spot for breakfast. We had an omelet with hash browns and potatoes and pancakes. They have delicious cream puffs just like my grandma use to make. Everything was delicious. Great place to eat. The service was great and attentive staff.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
I love Michael's, they do so many things well there. Delicious homemade pastries and donuts? Check. Friendly service, even when they're packed on a Saturday morning? Yes. Excellent breakfast entrees, traditional and "Spanish", including the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, all made with fresh, high quality ingredients? Every day. The only downside at Michael's is they're not open every day, but that's just me being selfish because I love them so much. Michael's is a Taos institution, for good reason, don't miss it!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
The breakfast was good, only have regular coffee though, no latte or expresso. Maybe a little overrated from what we expected.

Vivien B.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great ambiance. Iconic location -- a must try. Sopapillas with honey butter, an ample menu for all tastes, red and green are mild - medium.
google avatar

Cherrie B.

Yelp
We waited for over an hour in the line and i ordered eggs benedict and was not impressed. Other member of family ordered blue corn pancakes and said it was really good. And the breakfast burrito they said tasted really good. Be prepared to wait for awhile if you want to eat here. Very noisy and crowded so be prepared for that as well.
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
This place is popular but they don't have a great system for letting you know your table is ready. Everyone just stands in the dining room, around the register and out the door. There is not much room so it made it hard as you constantly have to move to let people in, out or around you. Staff was nice and the food was good. Not great just average. Service was slow when it came to refills but the food came out fairly quickly. I think thete is only one gender neutral bathroom for everyone to use. It was unavailable the entire time we were dining. This one was a miss for us. They do have a baked goods counter with items that looked pretty tasty but we didn't get any.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
What a delicious breakfast! We sat at the counter and had excellent and entertaining service from Tobias. I had the Martin' breakfast burrito with green sauce. Very spicy - just how I like it! My husband had the build your own omelette. Our breakfast choices were so delicious! This is a busy place, but they serve the food hot and quickly. And the bonus is that you can take goods from the bakery home on your way out. Love this place!
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! Came and did not even get a pic before diving in. We were hesitate about the line out the door, but thought must be good then. It was maybe 20-30 min in line and the service was quick and accurate! Definitely recommend and worth the wait.
google avatar

Lori W.

Yelp
We waited in long line to eat lunch. Service was great. Great atmosphere, but food - not so much. That being said, I've heard that their breakfast is awesome. My family is used to Mexican dishes with more of the spices found in Tex Mex food, and we thought the food was really bland. This however is probably just a cultural thing, and other people find it to be really good obviously as there was a wait to get in. We liked the sopapillas, but prefer them with butter and honey warm.
google avatar

Lynnann W.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to ride a train! It was super busy. We had already planned to just pick up coffee, juice and pastries and it worked out perfectly. There is a very wide selection in the bakery department and the pastries are Huge! Everything was delicious.
google avatar

Byron C.

Yelp
Casual, welcoming ambiance. Excellent food, large menu, friendly staff and decent sized parking lot. We really enjoyed breakfast here and would definitely return. The breakfast burrito was excellent. Didn't get a chance to try the pastries but I was eyeballing the cinnamon roll which was a big as my head.
google avatar

JD M.

Yelp
Breakfast just doesn't get Berger than this, even when eating a lunch item - stuffed Sopapilla- with a couple of fried eggs on top. Ample red and green chili, and generous servings of sour cream and guacamole. She had breakfast enchiladas which were awesome, and we added a serving of blue corn hotcakes with pinion. That pushed it over the top. Could we eat al this? Well no, not in one sitting but I'm fine with leftovers!
google avatar

Madi H.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with my friends on a weekend getaway in Taos. The food was so incredible and everyone had such a great meal. Service was fast for how busy it was, it definitely fills up quickly on the weekends. I got breakfast enchiladas and they were delicious. Everything about this place was great in my eyes.
google avatar

Donna D.

Yelp
Breakfast always delicious. Thank you for being a part of our vacation. We will return
google avatar

Anne K.

Yelp
Overpriced tourist trap McDonalds not only tastes better but is a fraction of the price.
google avatar

Tim D.

Yelp
If you want fresh, quality, baked goods and donuts look no further. Because if you did, you would probably have to go to Santa Fe and I think you would still be challenged to find anything comparable. I hit this place at least once every time we are in town and it never disappoints.
google avatar

Montana W.

Yelp
Michael's is a Taos staple. I've been here countless times over close to 20 years. I don't think I've ever ordered something that wasn't delicious. Be prepared to wait! Unless you're lucky with timing or come in the down season, it's not unusual to wait 30-45+ minutes for a table. They will also NOT seat any party that isn't all in attendance, so take that into consideration.
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
We got in line in the morning and waited about twenty minutes. The menu is extensive and you could get breakfast or lunch at 11:00. Really good! (I had blueberry compote blintzes and my husband had a traditional tasty egg breakfast). Impressive full staff offered great service, not a bad wait time given how packed it was.
google avatar

Karla J.

Yelp
The service was AMAZING here! We got in quick - even though there was a line, it's a popular place for a reason. The bakery items looked fabulous. Our meal was hot, fresh and good. I had the burrito and it was delightful. If you are in town, be sure to grab a meal here!
google avatar

Melba M.

Yelp
I have been stopping at Michael's Kitchen since 1998. Their breakfast is beyond good. I asked for cheese on my eggs and I got a large portion of the cheese. A very good place to eat. Get their by 7:30 AM or plan to wait!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Kept hearing how great Michaels was so we put it on our list of to-do's while in Taos. Open only 5 days each week we had to wait until Wednesday morning to breakfast here. We waited in line for about half an hour, some form of seating might be an idea while waiting, but I don't think that has been given much thought. We did finally get a table and ordered. My wife got the pork chop and eggs while I got the corned beef hash. Mine was adequate, my wife gave hers a thumbs down; somehow they managed to make the pork chop dry and under cooked. Not really sure how one accomplishes this but they managed. We also ordered 2 sopapillas and they came a bit rubbery and very oily, not what we were used to, we had to ask for honey; strange for New Mexico. All in all, not worth the wait really. Maybe just stick to bacon and eggs or other basics. Not terrible just not worth the hassle to get in.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
The bomb. I loved the cinnamon toast French toast with bacon and eggs. Perfection. The egg enchilada is the best approximation of New Mexican love.

Yelp
Came down the mountain from staying at Taos Ski Valley to hike Wheeler Peak and was looking for breakfast and lunch options before heading to Santa Fe. Got here around 1PM and there was still a line, but it moved fairly quickly that we were sat in the middle of the dining room with a 360 view of all the artwork and memorabilia on the walls. As we got closer to the wait station, our eyes drifted off to the bakery section as I scoped out the last 2 chocolate eclairs. Word to the wise, get them right away because by the time we were seated and went back to pick out our desserts, the eclairs were gone. I got the Poor Man's Eggs Benedict, but got my second disappointment that poached eggs were only until 11:30. Besides these two downers, the food and service were top-notch. Kids loved their enchiladas and taquitos and my son shared "the best French toast" he's ever had. I asked the waiter for syrup and realized it was like asking for ketchup for a steak, because their home-made bread melts in your mouth with enough flavor you don't need syrup. We took our cookies, bakeries and to-go meals with us on the road and talked about it for the rest of the weekend.

Yelp
Honestly I can't imagine a better breakfast & lunch joint than this. Their selection is amazing, and everything we sampled was delicious. And it's got this amazing "New Mexico vibe" that I can't describe, but it's thick in the air. My wife had an omelet that was slathered in (red) chili and gooey melted cheese. It was phenomenal, but even better were the hashbrowns, as they come crispy and browned and when used to scoop up the chili and cheese were out of this world! (Many reviewers here and other sites complain that everything's smothered in cheese. Hate to point this out, but that's a feature; not a bug!) I had Mikey's Mess and I can only recommend it to share because it's HUGE! A gigantic bowl of tortilla chips smothered in chili (red or green; I had both!), cheese, sour cream and guac. Imagine that a plate of nachos and a bowl of chili had a baby; that's what this is. But it was *way* too much for one person. A nice trait is that the first half of the meal is crunchy and "dippy" but further on the chips get all soggy and it turns into this soupy, savory, taste bomb in every spoonful. So good was everything that this morning I came back for breakfast to try the breakfast enchilada. I've eaten a thousand breakfast burritos, but a breakfast enchilada was new to me. And, again: Wow! Scrambled eggs & cheese, rolled in fresh corn tortillas, drenched in chili (green, please!) and another side of those hashbrown potatoes. So good. (But, again, such huge portions that I couldn't finish it all!) No if, ands, or buts about it: When it Taos, this is a must-dine. PS: Save room for the bakery items you'll pass waiting for the cashier; so many goodies to choose from!

Yelp
My wife and I were staying in Taos for the week. We had breakfast at Michael's our last morning. It was a great experience. The service was excellent from everyone. The food was fantastic. We sampled pancakes, French Toast, eggs, hash browns and sausage. I would definitely recommend going there.

Chris O.

Yelp
There is a reason the line to get in is so long- amazing food and a lot of it. Tight quarters but reasonably comfortable. Be sure to try their bakery items! We would go back for sure next time in Taos!

Yelp

Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a leisurely breakfast, Michael's Kitchen promises to satisfy your cravings and leave you longing for more.

Yelp
Michael's is an institution in Taos, and with their solid breakfast dishes, southwestern influence, and amazing on-site bakery, you won't leave hungry! But, you might want to go BEFORE you get that hungry, because they don't take reservations, they close at 2 pm, and there is always a huge line with a wait of roughly an hour. The good news is, once you get seated, your server is likely to be very attentive and food service is relatively quick! On the day we visited, we went a little earlier than we wanted to eat, anticipating the wait. While in the line, we looked at the menu online so we would be ready to order when we were seated. We settled on an order of the green chile stew, an order of the pinon pancakes, an order of the breakfast enchiladas with green chile, and a couple egg dishes. We knew it would be way too much food, but this visit was a one-time deal, and we wanted to try all the things we had read about in other Yelp reviews. Our server Tobias was awesome, and after taking our order, calmly said: 'You know, this is a lot of food...' Then he went away to put in our order, and then immediately came back to let us know they were out of pinon pancakes. We took that as a sign from the universe not to be gluttons, and told him we were OK with the rest of our order without adding in any substitution. But when Tobias came back to serve our order, he also presented us with an order of their regular pancakes, on the house. Such a sweet gesture! Food wise, this is standard diner-style breakfast fare. Nothing too special, nothing piping hot, but eggs are cooked properly, coffee is really good (every pot is made from fresh ground beans), and the enchiladas, well, they were really delicious. We didn't love the hash browns that came as a side, and of all the green chile stews we have tasted during our month in NM, this one was probably our least favorite (though it was still good...) but our experience was enjoyable and we would go back.

Yelp
I think this is one of the only places in Taos with good servers and lots of them. Service was amazing and food came out fast. I had the quesadilla and it didn't look like much but was very good and stuffed full. The chips and salsa was really good and the sopapilla was a nice surprise. Will definitely return to Michael's.

Yelp
Avoid this place. Over rated and the food is awful. Worst meal that I have had in NM thus far. The presentation looks like someone vomited on my plate. Flavorless green chili. Uncooked frozen hash browns. Food is served cold. Weak coffee. Also! The employees here are extremely rude about waiting in line for the restrooms. They have 3, and if you dare stand in a line, you will be scolded by the manager. Wont be back and highly suggest giving your money to another local establishment.
