Nice store to pick up craft back to school supplies. Any art material located in the same Olympic street? It was nice to visit this store. My granddaughter was buying a lot of craft material and I just was looking around, they had lot of artificial flowers, lights questions. A woman and patrio lights on clearance did not buy anything in particular, but it is a nice place for arranging birthday parties for getting any art supplies way which you can't get the at any other place. Good place to visit apple parking located on the third level, with both elevator and escalators

Google
Great for crafts but the sewing and fabric section is teeny. No fabric by the yard, small selection of threads and accessories, and that’s basically it. If you’re looking for a fabric store on the west side since Joann’s closed then check out Fabric Planet in Venice.

The custom framing team here did an amazing job! Ahead of schedule, they did beautiful work and were so helpful in store!

Great place to shop for arts and crafts. You will find everything your looking for and then s ome. Free EV charging on the top level, makes it a win/win limit of 2hrs. Which is enough to shop & grab a bite to eat, down on the street level.

Always like to look around this store for craft projects or holiday decor. This location has a lot of other stores and food places around it so parking can be challenging. Metropolis now charges for parking. There are QR codes to scan and sign up for it.. and I really hate that. Your plate is scanned automatically if you're already signed up when entering and leaving. There is a spot when you enter Michaels with a screen to get 2 hours free parking validation. It asks for your license plate number and applies the validation to it. I wish this building hadn't added this extra step to just be able to shop and eat but.. it happens now at almost every shopping center.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting Michaels, including this location, but my experience today was disappointing. When I asked the staff member at the door (a younger, tall male whose name I didn’t catch) where to make a return, he rolled his eyes and curtly told me to “wait behind the orange line”, even though there were no other customers. He proceeded to help several others ahead of me with unrelated tasks while I waited about 10 minutes, until another staff member finally helped me. I also saw him give attitude to another customer needing help at self-checkout. Unfortunately, this one employee’s attitude made the whole visit very uncomfortable. I hope this feedback encourages better service in the future.

Google
This location is somewhat small but I enjoyed the staff and selection of this location. They have plenty of selection for all kinds of crafting needs and it was easy to find products and even added some great sale items. I will definitely be back here as I was highly disappointed at the location in Mid City on LaBrea.

MOST EVIL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE, CORPORATE IS TO BLAME!! I don’t really write reviews cause I never feel very strongly about shopping, but shopping here pissed me off so bad, it’s been a while since I’ve shopped at this location or just Michael’s in general, but I went in with some specific items in mind, some I found the rest I couldn’t find, I wanted to ask someone but there was NO ONE walking around the store only three people and they were at register helping with balloons and watching self checkout so once I got to the register I couldn’t ask because again it was self checkout, I never had a chance to talk to a real person, I walked around the store 3 times to try and find someone to ask, and there were no employees. And I blame corporate, like I know you HATE paying people but removing customer service in this line of retail is self sabotage and making arts and crafts souless. Nothing wrong with the employees they were doing their best with how little staff they had. With all of my years of living and shopping I’ve never been so pissed off by a shopping experience. I recommend that if you need art materials go to Blick, they have enough staff to help you find what you’re looking for and recommend items for your product. Also I recommend current employees to find another job cause I don’t see this one lasting as they’ve cut more than half their staff already.

Yelp
Most of the people that works at MICHAEL's are helpful.. but there's not a huge variety of shadow boxes in stock there. I had a pretty specific need. And before purchasing, I asked for clarification on an item. Their return policy is that it needs to be unwrapped. Glad I asked because the shadow box I was looking at wasn't inexpensive but I wasn't sure it would work for my project. I went back and picked out something else instead. But the staff weren't able to answer my questions. Just a lot of blank looks. At least I asked about the return policy. But good, easy parking!

Yelp
If you need framing-- fast, with great patience and advice-- come to this Michael's. Their custom framing department is very helpful and they are always running specials. Significantly less than free-standing custom framers. And one of the few places left that carries a variety of ready-made options in styles and sizes. Ignore the crowds. They are there because it's great.

Yelp
I love walking down every aisle and looking at all the cool and cute things!! I want to buy everything in the store. Sometimes I wish I was more creative so I could buy more things!! Both bathrooms were out of service during my last visit when I actually really needed to use the restroom! Plenty of parking in the parking structure that is free for customers.

Yelp
I'm leaving a 3 star review because the employee Lupe was not very professional. I came in to pick up an ups package with order confirmation on my phone. To which she replied "you need an id" kinda rudely 2 times. Which then was I replied "before I go back to my car, I still need an id even if I had order confirmation and picture id?" She thanked me replied, "yeah, it's ups policy to get an id" which I understood. Then after I get my id, I wait about 5 minute for her to tell me "your box isn't here, you are gonna have to call ups." Which then I looked up and there was not a box more visible with my name. To which she replied, "oh it's because it's your first name". I said, "thank you" and left but did not have a good experience.

Yelp
Clean store, lots of beautiful products, and most of all the customer service I received from Andy as I was checking out was a great experience. I really appreciated his help today.

Yelp
1/31/25 & 2/1,25-. Michael's (Sawtelle)-- Big thank you to both Vanessa and Karen H. for their assistance with great positive attitude , politeness and professionalism. They were so welcoming with beautiful smiles despite their long days and heavy work. Great shopping experience at Michaels , thanks to them. Thank you Vanessa Thank you Karen H.

Yelp
The worst customer service to african Americans at this location. They don't help you when inquiring about products, they are always giving patrons a hard time to avid customers, just to utilize the restrooms.

Thomas G.

Yelp
Asked how long a coupon would take to come and a male worker was not having it with the questions lol. I couldn't get what I wanted to say without him answering the wrong question I didn't even get to fully ask:

Yelp
Say they close at 7 but apparently the entire framing department leaves at 6:20pm. Would be nice to know that before driving all the way over.

Yelp
This is a great location for a quick run for supplies. The selection is very limited. Most of the times it's empty because of the location.

Yelp
I used to be a framing customer of both the Aaron Brothers locations on La Brea/Melrose and Santa Monica Blvd./WeHo. Sadly both Aaron Brothers stores have closed. Aaron Brothers was my go to place when I wanted something framed nicely but only wanted to spend $100-150. I was so sad when I saw them go away. So I found some wonderful watercolors my Mother painted back in the early 70s. I wanted to give one as a gift to a close cousin, keep the others for myself. Just did not want to drop $300+ on a frame/matte. Did some research and learned that Aaron Brothers framing remains in business at the Michaels store on the West side. On my first trip I got one painting framed, 2 more done a few days later. So there are pros and cons to these guys. The pros? Prices are amazing as compared to framers in West Hollywood. They give you the rock bottom discount immediately with no negotiating. Selection is limited but some frames are very nice. Quality in the end is surprisingly good. Frame well assembled, mat in place, wire attached flawlessly and back sealed correct. Also turnaround is a couple of weeks - very good. The cons? The folks working here have no clue how to choose the right frame, the right mat - how to put the whole thing together. I know what I'm doing but most people don't. You need to tell the folks at Michaels precisely how you want the mat cut, if you want filet, if you want more mat on the bottom - and yes, the list goes on. If you don't understand picture framing 101 find another store. The other con is the fact they are disorganized. I called and was told a picture was ready; however, when I came in the guy said it was not. 15 minutes of complaining later the manager handed me the picture. So I was right! So they get 4 stars as they deliver a great product for the money.

Yelp
Michaels has to change their policy. We went to the store to find a shadow box. We google and confirm that the item is 50% off. It turns out it is online only. So I had to order the item and come back to pick it up. If Michael thinks it's a green company, it's totally not, waste of gas and not to start me on the customer dissatisfaction. On the way out, I asked the Michaels employee and her response, I have to follow the same policy, like that made it ok. MIcheals, if you offer a discount, it should be for both in store or online, not just online. I will think twice about shopping there again and tell all my friends the same.
google avatar

Se'Friena C.

Yelp
If I'm going to be doing all the work myself, because they refuse to open any registers, everyone should receive the employee discount for their work. Employees standing around talking and playing on phones but refuse to open a register to check people out. And if, by a miracle, there is one open they say only cash is allowed. Their corporate has made it clear they are supposed to have a normal register for anyone not wanting to use the self checkout but Manager Lauryn will lie wanting to continue hanging with her buddies.

Yelp
Got my online order and wanted to use the restroom, they had a sign saying "closed due to cleaning" but nobody was cleaning it. They just put that sign to not let customers use the restroom.

Yelp
While my bf is away in Vietnam and I'm dog sitting our fur baby, I wanted to make a gift for him when he comes back! I got the idea of making a paw print impression and wanted to frame it with his photo by its side. I looked online off a few places, and it seems Petco is actually cheaper than a lot of the other places. BUT, I would've had to pay for shipping, which would've been more pricier than Michaels in store. Initially, when I found the box, it said "5 pc." Silly me, I thought that meant that there was a bulk/ 5 of the impression molds! But it literally just meant that there were 5 pieces in the box, total (the string, roller, cutter, mold, stick to poke holes/ write with)! It was priced out for $11.99, but I utilized a 40% off any item coupon online and it saved me almost 5 bucks! This Michaels was kind of difficult to locate. My friend and I walked around the whole building and even walked into where the big rigs unload and winded up in the staff's elevator. Why did they allow just anyone to have access to those elevators?! It is only located on the second floor in the Marshall's building. I'm super excited to try this and I even purchased a wooden heart shaped frame ($1) where I can stick the mold right next to a photo of Zeus :)

Yelp
Headed over to Michaels and the framing department. Thought I was going to have to order a custom size MAT BOARD but the woman behind the counter went and found a pre-cut one for $6. Love her and love this store.

Mimi W.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst framers. They made mistakes on both pieces I brought in. Horrible attitudes and horrible job. Don't get things framed here.

Yelp
I went in during the weekday in December, so the store was busy but not crazy and they seemed appropriately staffed for the time of year. They had what I came in for in stock (Plus a few other finds, naturally) so I'm happy with my experience. Friendly employees.

Yelp
I ordered 5 of two items but when I opened the box there were only 3 of each in the package! Given that I ordered on time so that I could have them on time for Sunday November 28th, now I'm left with not going to give to two of the kids! This is wrong! I have called their customer service and they will send me the missing items. However, since I will not receive them on time, I will have to think of replacements while waiting for them and I will not have them on Sunday! Very frustrated.

Yelp
There are sooo many things here it's impossible. Visiting from Hawaii, we are very limited on craft stores which is why when I travel to the West Coast, I always stop at a Michael's nearby. There might be cheaper places, but Michael's is reasonable for us islanders and has so much selections. Subscribe to their newsletter and you always receive coupons. Even last minute.

Yelp
parking is plentiful my girlfriend was looking for specific lights for her small christmas trees I forgot the employee's name but she was Asian and I think Japanese, I wasn't so sure and I can't remember her name. She went to the back and found us the box since the online search said it was in store. Thank you so much. We appreciate you. Everything was self check out and made things a lot quicker

Yelp
Good location to pick up supplies. I'm a bit disappointed that their online/in-store options differ greatly so I have to shop through both methods to get what I need. Definitely check their coupons to get extra discounts. Entrance is on the 3rd floor and the parking lot offers 2 hours free parking which is a steal in the area!

Yelp
The manager Houston at the Olympic location has no idea how customer service works, I asked for help and he couldn't be bothered, I had to almost beg him to scan a code, he didn't want to do it, but he did and quess what, it said there were two available and then another customer asked him for help and instead of showing her where the item was located he pointed and said that way by aisle such and such, but the best part, I caught him complaining about me to an employee, said to this employee, couldn't she see I was busy, the guy was putting items back on the shelves when I asked for help and isn't part of his job customer service! Thank goodness another employee saw this and helped me.

Yelp
I order a few things for a project for my daughters school. I opted for delivery. I have done this service before and it's great. Unfortunately I wasn't home when it arrived and they delivered someone else's order. Not ideal. I called Michael's and the woman on the phone was so helpful. Since they use a 3rd party for deliveries she handled all communications and called me back to tell me they are repackaging my order and will have it delivered. She apologized and fixed the problem. She had my items to me within 3 hours of me calling her. Good job Michael's.

Yelp
Michaels is ALL things crafty, seasonal! If you can't find what you need for a creative project here it probably doesn't exist or you didn't spend enough time going aisle by aisle in this mega, well-maintained store. Inventory is clearly marked by category with overhead signage to promote the best possible self-serve experience. However, if you should need assistance, associates are both knowledgeable and pleasant. What brought me to Michaels was this past Tuesday's late night local news report on daytime-biting-black-and-white mosquitoes living in Los Angeles County for the last three years, with the "...potential to transmit dengue, chikungunya and yellow fever...". * Seems these critters procreate in both standing water in planters and on plants themselves. And are more aggressive now both propagating therefore biting currently due to the ongoing drought. Although I consider my indoor houseplant population "safe" what kept me awake after viewing that TV segment was the $30-$50 worth of cut flowers I bring home each week to arrange, to decorate. What if, perhaps an extreme hypothetical, but just what if I brought black and white mosquito larva into the condo with all those flowers? Enter Michaels on foot as I did via Sawtelle from metered street parking. Or take advantage of free mall parking, just access the mall from Sawtelle then park on the third level as that is the store entrance. I quickly found the silk flower department in search of either a ready made orchid arrangement or materials to construct one of my own design. No luck. But faux hydrangea stems (50% off) caught my eye. Being a frequent live floral purchase, they became my Michaels take home along with "ice cube" vase fillers (regular retail) for the bubble bowl I own. Checkout was swift, cheery. If I hadn't been in a rush to get to my next appointment, I'd have completed the rewards program application. Next time cuz I love to save money! *http://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-disease-mosquitoes-20151025-story.html

Yelp
The framers are seriously awful. Both in how they do framing and deal with customers. We had a large poster framed and had to get a special car to transport it. This was a very large poster so when we came to pick it up, we got a special car for the day to move it. The guy working at the shop brought out the poster which was wrapped in a lot of paper. We asked to see it and he seemed very annoyed since it was so much paper we would tear off. He assured us it was okay and that we could always bring it back to have it fixed. Of course, the poster was not laid flat in the frame. We called and they said we could bring it back, but we didn't have a car large enough to move it. We asked if they could organize a pick up and they said they could. A week later, we were told the frame could be picked up from 11-2. Of course, no one showed up and we just sat there calling Michael's though no one answered. We finally got ahold of a framer who was unapologetic and unhelpful. Now my poster is framed horribly and I won't be returning to Michael's.

Yelp
I just want to say beware of same day ordering. I ordered some items to be delivered today, but they haven't arrived (it's about 5 minutes to closing right now). I called customer service 2 hours ago to get an update on my order (it looked like it had been ready for pickup for a while), but the agent assured me that that only meant that it was still waiting for the delivery person. I was told that deliveries are made as late as 9pm, however, when there was about 20 minutes before the store closed, I called again. Apparently my order was still there. I was advised that it might come tomorrow, but the $9.99 same day delivery cost cannot be adjusted even if the order is late. Furthermore, there is no information on who the delivery service even is, in order to address late orders. So again, beware of ordering a same-day delivery order. The cost of this service apparently is not meant to be a guarantee that you'll get your items same day. Nor are email confirmations subject to that guarantee. I believe that there should be some warning on the order, the confirmation email, or the website as 'same day delivery' with confirmation can be very deceiving. -- Update -- They now have my order on hold for curbside pickup. Since I have no way to even get there, I've been holding to try to get this fixed (they apparently can't reschedule a pickup - that's up to the unknown they-shall-not-be-named delivery service that they use). I'm supporting Hobby Lobby or JoAnne's from now on.

Yelp
Well this virus thing certainly changes our shopping habits... I'm used to wandering around Michael's and looking for the best prices and rummaging though the $1 stuff near the checkout line, but this time I did curbside pick up. It was pretty easy, placed my order at 12pm online with pickup at this location which is 10 miles from my home. Hoped to time it with other errands I needed to run, as the item I wanted was only I stock here (3-tier rolling cart in rose gold) and I didn't want to wait or pay for shipping. I got some other stuff like jar candles in glass that I wouldn't want shipped as well. Got an email at 2:30 or so saying my order was ready. Thank God for Yelp as other reviews mentioned Michael's was on the 3rd floor of the parking structure - no way to know that if this was your first time there - thank you past reviewers! We drove up through the structure (free parking when we get back to normal BTW) and got in a line of cars with their trunks open or windows down. The email said to call the store and press 3 but that didn't work, so when the delivery employee waked by we let her know and she asked for my name. A few minutes later she came out with a few orders, put mine in our trunk and that was it. We tipped the girl because 1) she seemed to be doing all the dropoffs by herself and 2) no one else seemed to be doing it (tipping) and she was carrying all sorts of stuff - yarn, boxes, my cart LOL She seemed surprised and appreciated it - come on we're being hunted by a virus and expect to get projects done, tip our helpers! One thing to note is that one item was not included in my order. That was in an email I overlooked, the item was not on my pickup receipt and the email said I would not be charged for it, but I may see an amount being held on my card that differed from actual charges. I'll wait and see how that goes but it seems pretty standard; if they had called me I think it would have been simpler as I would have said color didn't matter (it was for "practice" yarn) and to toss in a skein of whatever was the same price, but I know some people are specific about yarn so no harm. Overall not a bad experience and one I'm sure I'll repeat a few times till this is all over. Be safe, be healthy!

Yelp
It's a convenient location for when I need crafting items. I find the store to be pretty overpriced, but Michaels is often running coupons and sales- so definitely check their website for any coupons before heading out to shop! However, sometimes coupons don't apply to certain items (even if the item itself is not marked as something non-discountable in the fine print) and they won't honor the coupon. This happened to me when I had a 40% off a purchase coupon, and the fine print indicated you could not use it with "Everyday Value" products. I selected a metal cake stand, that had an entirely different tag on it, and that was not marked as an "everyday value" item nor was there a sign near those items indicating them as such. When denied use of the coupon I explained that, but the cashier said "the coupon didn't ring up and there's nothing I can do about it. I can't override it." Lackluster customer service, but it wasn't the worst thing in the world either.

Yelp
This is my go-to Michael's store. The sales people are very helpful and the store is well stocked. As an avid crafter, I can wander this store for a long time, finding more and more things to buy! The store is kept very neat and the cashiers are always friendly. There are weekly amazing discounts too.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are an arts and crafts kind of person... this is THE store for you. I am not that type of person. But I do enjoy a fun project once in a while. Staff Friendly and helpful in helping you find what you need in the store. Can get very busy on the weekends and more difficult to get help. I called on the phone to get something I was looking for and the wonderful associate, Samira, got me exactly what I needed and when I got to the store it was there waiting for me. She was awesome! A Note: The key to success here: I feel like you have to have a game plan before you go in. Brainstorming my project in the store was difficult. I felt very overwhelmed. Have an idea of what you want to make and the materials you want to use for your project before going in. Do an internet search if you have to. Savings: Check out the website before you shop. They had a 40% off coupon on a full price item to use online AND in store. Coupons may also print out with your receipt. Additionally, you can buy online and pick up in store. Location: Located in a two story structure (One Westside Center) with other stores ie. Marshalls, Petsmart, Panda Express, Starbucks, T-Mobile. Has a free parking lot. Parking: Kind of a nightmare on a Sunday probably better during the week. Only has compact spaces so bigger cars park over the line. It was crowded and busy. Spaces are compact and sometimes SUV's park over the line making it hard to get into spaces. However, it is free!

Yelp
Time to get your M.A.C. on... * YES - Offers tons for arts and crafts needs (too long to list here) * YES - Neatly organized, white backdrop, high-ceiling store * YES - Friendly service * YES - Weekly deals: they have online ad * YES - Sells lots of candies & goodies, with some right by checkout stand * WOA (words of advice): - Free parking lot - Located on 3rd (top) level of this plaza - Call before to check stock if looking for a specific item

Yelp
Always a as good time here. Organized considering the COVID process and procedures! Never disappointed when coming to Michael's! You rock!

Yelp
I stopped by Michaels to buy art supplies for a family we were donating to. The store was packed and felt kind of hectic. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised considering that it was Christmas time (yes I know I'm a bit late on this review). When I got there someone went out of their way to help me find what I needed. I had a great experience and will be back again.

Yelp
Big shout out to Chris for making my return process a breeze. Also, thank you for finding me in the store when I accidentally left my phone on the counter!

Yelp
After I went looking for a 20 x 20" frame without success, I stopped by the custom framing counter. I asked the guy about a 20 x 20. His answer was "that's an odd size". At the register the cashier asked if I found everything ok. I said actually no. I thought you guys did custom framing. He said they did. I went back to the framing counter and the same guy game me half ass*d info. Michael's should do an employee eval on this guy. He seems pretty pathetic at that job. He quoted me $83 and I asked on which frame. He said the least expensive. So he assumes I have no money to pay or what?! And the store is supposedly running a 70% off. I didn't bother to ask if thats with the discount -- it doesn't make sense that is with the discount anyway. The bad service, ugly attitude and laziness of that guy tells me not to bring the artwork I need framed. God forbid he ruins it! So guess where I won't be getting my custom framing job from....

Yelp
Parking: free small cramped lot -- medium difficulty *** I hate the parking and would avoid it during rush hour and lunch -- it shares a lot with a few other restaurants and stores. The Michaels is your typical. It has everything but in a smaller quantity.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Ahh I can see why people give such low ratings for customer service. I've been here several times when visiting family in the area and usually I have no problems (just buy item and go). However, today the customer service could be improved upon. I was checking out several items and used my Michael's coupon. I know for a fact that they also take competitor coupons on top of using a Michael's coupon. As soon as I asked, the cashier immediately said no. Didn't even try or explain why- just a flat out no. And as I was checking out, another worker used the intercom and did their message and mentioned "friendly service," and the worker checking me out said "friendly? I don't know about that." (You got that right) ALSO, just a random tip but don't take the elevator. I was stuck for a good minute when I reached the floor I wanted and it just shook the entire time

Yelp
So big and has a little bit of everything from every area of arts and crafts. Unfortunately, that means that the offerings can be either cheap, entry-level, or tacky. But, still, it can be a great resource, especially if you don't have time to wait for something to arrive from an online purchase. Also, just like every Jo-Ann's I've ever been to, there are always insanely rude customers here power-tripping on cashiers over their Extreme Couponing headcanon where they exit a transaction making money. pls remember to treat cashiers like the human beings they are and read the fine print on any coupons you may bring. There is a huge parking lot, so plenty of spaces. The intersection it's on (Sawtelle/Olympic), however, gets beyond dangerous during rush hour, so please be careful when exiting the structure!

Yelp
Even though traffic in the parking garage can be miserable, I still like this Michaels location because of the free parking and Starbucks on the first floor. It's a clean, decently stocked store and they always have good coupons and discounts. Cashiers have consistently been efficient and friendly. The only reason I'm docking one star is the change in their online pick-up location. It's in the back in the framing department which I can see in theory being a considerate move (you bypass the potentially long lines in front) but isn't stellar in practice. I placed two online orders and the first time I was helped quickly without any issues but the second time I stood there waiting while two different framing employees saw me and ignored me. Finally one of the employees asked if the other had been helping me and started assisting me when I answered no. He tried his best but didn't seem trained on how to operate the online pick-up tablet and the other employee (who helped me on my first order just fine) milled around doing his best to not assist. I'm not sure what was going on but it was just weird. Unless there's a big discount going on for online ordering, I doubt I'd try it again.

Joel C.

Yelp
So disappointed in the framing department here. One print was framed crooked, though they were able to adjust it on the spot. The other frame was done incorrectly- it was a landscape layout but the wire on the back was screwed in as if it were in portrait layout. They adjusted it, but of course this left extra holes screwed into the frame. I had to insist they do it again correctly. Their prices aren't cheap, and it didn't seem fair to pay so much for a damaged frame. I was told the manager would call me to discuss a discount, but he never did. Whenever I called, I was placed on hold and no one ever picked up. Overall, I will stick to my local frame shop. Thought I would save money by coming here, but I didn't. Plus, the service and quality were lousy.

Yelp
Had something framed here in what used to be Aaron Brothers custom framing. For those that remember Aaron Brothers was a solid frame shop that did custom work. I had something custom mounted - special mat cut, wire, backing, etc. Was supposed to receive a call when it was ready - never heard from them. Tried calling and was left on hold for 20 minutes waiting to find out if it was ready. No one ever picked up. Stopped by a few days ago to pick it up and found that the mat was cut crooked, cut too small and the image was off center. Mat was also dirty. No problem - the guys said they will remount it and it would be ready the next day. Cool - right? Now I'm here picking it up and they are redoing it again because it was mounted crooked in the frame. They guy working asked if I paid for special framing - which I did - and they are working on it to correct it. Hopefully it is done correctly this time. Update: Looks like we are going to settle on it being better but not 100% correct. Oh well. Note to management: don't blame the staff - you have got to give these guys the space they need to work and some time for Quality Assurance steps to be added to their process.

Yelp
Michael's as a whole company has gone downhill, but this storefront takes the cake for being a joke. Employees can't tell you where something is or pretend to be remotely pleasant for a singular moment ever. This is just added insult to injury considering the store itself can't keep their items stocked or clean. I'll be shopping Amazon or any place else from now on. It's a joke you don't have even ribbon available.

Yelp
I have to agree with the majority of reviews for Michaels. This location is not well organized, it needs a major feng shui overhaul. It's hard to track down a worker to ask for help, because you almost certainly will need it. I don't know if it's that they're perpetually understaffed (even pre~Covid) or is it that everyone is always asking for help? I guess that means they're understaffed anyway. Long lines on the weekend but they usually move pretty quickly. Oh and they do not have flashlights of any sort, which surprised me. They are Halloween~d out already which is good for planners.

Yelp
Went to get my license certificate framed in a premade frame with custom matting. When i came back 2 days later their computer system said the order was complete, but it was not complete. The staff took 30m to search for my document and the frame/matting. Then they told me the lady who measured my certificate got the size wrong so they had to start from scratch since the matting was cut to the wrong size. had to make another trip back to the store

Yelp
I'm giving this Michael's 4 stars. First of all: parking is good, onto the 3rd floor and you basically walk into the store. No validation required, it's a big parking lot next to Marshall's, excellent location. Like most stores of this chain, it's a big space. Anything you can think of when it comes to arts & crafts is being sold here. Also a department to frame your pictures. Looks very professional to me. Good prices. Excellent choice. Friendly and helpful staff. There was a huge line at the cashiers; within no time the staff managed to help everybody quickly, friendly and efficiently. Thumbs up

Yelp
This is about the custom framing section specifically. I am a former Custom Framer for both Michaels and Aaron Brothers as a heads up, so this was unacceptable. I placed an order back in mid-December, knowing full well that the order would take approximately 3 weeks instead of 2. The entire custom framing area was a mess! I'd normally chalk it up to a very busy area, but there were no other customers around. Looking for the frames and mat boards I wanted was difficult because everything was out of place or just not on the wall, scattered around the area. For the design process, the employee who helped me was either new, didn't know what I was talking about, assumed I had no idea what I was talking about, or didn't want to do my request of having a floating mat board with my design which is super easy to do in the framing room. So my order was just 3 mats placed standard flat. Not what I wanted, but it'll do. My piece needed to be put up safely. They said they'd give us a call when it was completed. I heard nothing and called the store (at this point it's 6 weeks) to see if it was ready. I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes before someone finally picked up, and they had no idea what I was talking about! It wasn't until I detailed everything that they looked for my order and saw it was done. Upon arrival, a customer was at the counter and was asking the guy there if he had time to help work on a project. I'm not sure if the employee spoke English well or just didn't want to help the customer because he just kept saying to the customer, "Two weeks, two weeks." There were no other customers at the counter, and it looked like a fun framing project to work on! The customer left in anger without anything being done so I could pick up my very-overdue order. At least my framing job was clean.

Yelp
This is my go-to place for all my scrapbooking needs. They carry Martha Stewart punches, washi tape, Heidi swapp stuff, Tons of dimensional stickers and make your own photo album. I personally always head to the clearance section since I end up buying so much stuff. They also always offer the best coupon and classes.

Yelp
Nice, courteous employees but the individuals who do the actual framing are incompetent to say the least. I had a total of 5 pieces get framed - ALL had issues. Two pieces with a basic frame and mat took 3 attempts to get right...there are still issues but I'm just cutting my loses instead of wasting my time.
