Went in to get a matted frame for a piece I wanted to put on the wall. Only two frames in the size I wanted and only one fit my needs. Very crowded store with tons of merchandise. Plenty of Halloween decorations for sale even though it’s two plus months away. This store is great and definitely fits a need for any creative activity one wants to pursue. NOT Florida Man Approved because Florida Man has no business being in such a place, except to get a frame for his fishing picture.

Great store for all your crafting need. Clean , organized and great for Decor too. Love their bead selection! Holiday crafts and decor are so adorable too.

Google
I usually really enjoy this Michael’s and can find what I need without issue, but today they had both of the yarn aisles almost completely blocked off by boxes. Having overstock is understandable with the holidays, but I’m not sure blocking a whole section with items is the best way of handling it.

Always have enjoyed going to this craft store 🤗 Always a great selection of merchandise and prices are decent too‼️

They have good prices but they need to expand their fabric & notions department because there is very little to choose from. It would be great if their fabric department was more like Joann’s.

The absolute worst customer service. Frame shop wants $30 to cut a piece of glass for a small picture frame that is 2.5” x 3.5”. Busy telling me it’s museum quality. OMG. They sell frames in the store that are the same size for $2.99. No one said I needed museum quality glass. Called back looking for a frame that is 4” x 6” not showing up online in their inventory. Young woman Kaley interrupts me from explaining what I need. So I ask for her name which she refuses to give me. And proceeds to tell me she was not interrupting me. I finally get to explain to her what I want and that I don’t care about the color of the frame I am only interested in the backing as a replacement part for an old frame. Last time I was there she was stuffing her face at the register. OMG. Where they find staff is just unbelievable to me.

Popped in to get a scrapbook, which after spending several minutes looking at prices on the shelf, finally selected one. The item rang up for a different price at the register. After trying to correct the issue, and showing the manager the price difference on the shelf, his response was, "That's set by corporate and we can't do anything about it." (**Edit - this manager also claimed the item was more expensive because it was a different color. Unfortunately for this manager, the prices can be easily compared online so lying to customers for the sake of convenience just seems counter-productive to me.**) Set by corporate? I'm sure that Michael's as a corporation doesn't care if their shelf tags are not accurate. Right? That wouldn't be something that falls under the purview of management, right? 🙄 But the cashier staff - SO nice. This two-star rating was earned by today's manager.

Yelp
Michael's, one of those timeless craft stores where you can get just about anything you want for your arts and crafts DIY projects. If you think they are pricey, they always have deals and or coupons on everything you need. Its impossible to walk out of there empty handed. There is too many cuteness to go around. If you thought you didn't find something you needed you are bound to find something you want here. Beware: you might just spend all your paycheck here, lol.

Yelp
The location we ate in was romantic. I highly highly recommend.Celebrating our 30th anniversary we ventured out to Michael's. I made a reservation telling them I wanted a romantic spot because it was our anniversary. The person who took the call actually saved an inside spot and an outdoor spot for us to choose from. Outside won. The service was Outstanding, food was exceptional and the presentation was beyond expectations. The location we ate in was romantic. I highly highly recommend. Ethel & Bill

Yelp
Rude Manager Matt, I just left the Michaels Store in Saint Augustine Florida after being so rudely addressed my the store manager Matt. Really unfortunate, and unlike me to complain, I actually left over $300 of merchandise at the check out counter. As an artist I tried to shop local, last month I spent over $1000 or more alone here, but will never return after my experience with the manager there. Under no circumstances should any employee be so flip with a customer no matter who they were. In this case I was purchasing a severely damaged foam board, there were no more in stock, I asked the help in the isle, and painted out the damage, I was hoping they had a new one. The sales help who was very nice told me they would most likely give me half off, as I needed it today I had no choice, I did have several hundred dollars worth of other products in my cart, all of which were full price. when I asked for the discount and the cashier told me they could discount 10% I asked if perhaps the manager could have a look at it since it was so damaged. When Matt arrived I was made to feel indignant for rightly asking for a discount on a obviously severely damaged product, and told "If you don't buy it somebody else will" with of roll of the eyes, and a quick back turned to me. When I tried to engage him he became even more flip. So many floor staff in the store had been so helpful, it's unfortunate that they should be managed by such a rude young man.

Yelp
Yep, I realized I can't have the big city expectations for professionalism. It's a pain when I have to come in and buy Copic markers. I'm a professional artist and I need to match colors...they watch you like a hawk and think you are going to steal. The sales lady was actually holding the marker door lockers closed while I was testing them out. I was made to feel unwelcome as a customer. Update - the employees are super stressed out, and they take it out on their customers. My advice is to skip this location if you can.

Yelp
This particular location is pretty impressive in my opinion. It's clean and well maintained, plus it's well stocked overall too. I came in last weekend and my wife and I both remarked at how nice it was. If I am in the area again I'd happily go back.

Yelp
Great store to shop at, the staff is friendly and will help you try and find what you are looking for or a alternate solution to the project. Store is clean and well stocked. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Michaels is a pretty good-sized arts and crafts store located in the Cobblestone Plaza, and although most people prefer shopping at the local Hobby Lobby, you can find almost the same items at this store, usually at a much cheaper price. I ususally get an ad for Michaels in the weekly paper, filled with all kinds of sales, and almost always you will get a coupon for 50% off any one item in the store. If you ever stop in, you will notice virtually EVERYTHING in the store is on sale. Luckily, when I stopped in, I was looking for a frame for a poster I had recently purchased. All frames and framing accessories were 50% off. I didn't have the coupon with me, so I'm not sure if you can double up on those bargains, but I ended up paying 15 bucks for a 30 dollar frame, and I didn't use a coupon or special code! It seems like every week a different area of the store is on sale, so keep checking. There's a decent selection of craft items here, I mainly spent my time in the frame area- which was good sized, not huge, but you can definitely find something you're looking for, both expensive and cheap. My fiancee is planning a lot of our wedding and does a lot of shopping at Michaels, and has picked up a number of items for the reception, invitations, and more. There's quite a selection here all at decent prices, and anyone looking for anything craft related should leave happy. I did notice the other review which stated customer service was not top notch... I actually didn't see any employees walking around when I was in the store, although I wasn't exactly on the lookout, I knew where I was going and what I wanted, so I can't testify to that. Overall, it's a nice store, it was clean, well-stocked, filled with great bargains, and I found what I needed. I just hear everybody prefers Hobby Lobby in St Augustine- but I saved a ton here!

Yelp
So maybe I'm still hanging on to my big city expectations... but this is just wrong. Michaels is a national chain, right? Then why would they decide to hire people who don't know what an embosser is and where to find one in their store, which cells embossers? Also, if one was unsure of whether there are embossers in the store, couldn't they look it up on a computer? Like the one in front of them? Finally, if they guarantee that they don't have foil seals because "they'd be in this area"... why can I find them two isles over? My point is, no one there knew much about arts and crafts, or where things were located in their store, or how to calculate a sale price. Hobby Lobby on 312 @ US1 is much better for customer service. But it closes at 8pm. I miss Boston. :(

Yelp
Better than the Shariah Law Talibanesque Hobby Lobby. I do not think anyone should shop any company that forces their religious beliefs on everyone.

Yelp
Only place in town that would frame my custom poster. Came out great! Even walked it to my vehicle for me because of my injured knee!

Yelp
Went to have picture framed the guy waiting on people was rude and treated everyone like they where stupid. Went over to Hobby a Lobby treated great and they framed picture with no trouble.
