I don't go into Michaels as much as I do some other places to get my crafty stuff. I'm not sure why though, I guess it's just a habit/ autopilot to go to other places. However, recently Michaels carried something that I needed that I think the others didn't. I'm not sure I actually looked into that very well, but Michaels was what came up when I did a search for the item so I may have also just went with it!
When I went in to get it, I realized first of all that I'm pretty sure I live closer to this than where I normally go (so maybe I should start coming to this one more?), but maybe it just felt that way. It seemed well organized, but since I'm not as familiar with the layout I didn't know where to go (though this isn't to say that I DON'T still get lost elsewhere too!!). Because of this, I noticed that there didn't seem to be as many staff members around to help as I'm used to seeing. Maybe it was the time of day, or maybe that's normal. It was just a little harder to find someone to be able to ask for help. I also feel like maybe their uniforms don't stand out as much, maybe that's not true, or maybe that's the reason it seemed like there weren't as many around, I don't know. Either way, I eventually found someone and they were able to help me. At first I think they were confused about what I was needing because I had to describe it a few times, but luckily they took me right to the right spot! I liked this because sometimes at other places they just try to describe to you where to go and it's like... 'that's not helpful, I get lost really easily'!!!
So long story short: good place, really not too different from similar spots. I'll try to start keeping it more in mind as an option for my crafty-type supply needs in the future!
