We stayed in room 4 (room with outside window and door frames painted in pink) for 4 nights. The room has a queen size bed, 2 tables, two garden chairs, 3 barstools, 1 couch, a wall shelf and an unenclosed small bar hangers to hang clothes with but no closet. The kitchenette, dining space and bedroom form one large room. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine (no filters) and a sink, liquid dish soap, pots and a frying pan, dishes (plates and bowls), utensils for 4 people and a portable electric cook top with 2 heating elements. There are 2 ceiling fans, one over the bed and one in the kitchenette.||The A/C is supplied with electricity only from 6pm-8am. The owner charges US$15 per day extra if you want to have the A/C running during the day.||No toilet paper is allowed to be thrown in the toilet and has to be disposed in the bin provided. The owner explained that the ground water level is only approx. 1.5 ft deep and therefore the plumbing has a very shallow angle and thus can clog easily. ||The bathroom has a shower. Only complimentary soap is provided, no shampoo or conditioner.||The housed has a small 3rd level sun deck with obstructed views of the ocean and bay. It is only a 3min walk to a beautiful and uncrowded beach where you can swim. We almost had the beach to ourselves. If you walk South on the beach then you will come to a couple of restaurants. If you walk all the way to the Southern tip of the peninsula, then you will find even better swimming with clearer water (and more people) near the pier. ||There is a supermarket about a 1min walk from the hotel. If you walk down the road towards the town of Placencia then you will pass several more supermarkets, other stores and restaurants. It will take 10-15min to reach the end of the road at the Placencia pier.||During the day, you can hear noise from the street as the hotel is located on the only road in and out of Placencia – it is not a busy road, however. Traffic noise died down shortly after sunset.||The wifi signal in the room is weak and my iPhone lost the signal frequently whereas my Microsoft Surface kept the connection nicely. An excellent wifi signal is available near the office on the 2nd floor.||Long story short: This is a nice and affordable hotel in Placencia. It is in close proximity to the beach and if street noise during the day does not bother you, then this hotel may be for you.

PROs: The accommodation is simply perfect. It felt like we stayed somewhere in Europe. The Belgian owned Accommodation comes really clean, well maintained and well equipped. Nothing is missing - rooms come with a kitchenette, TV , AC, and nice bathroom. On the rooftop is a nice small terrace to view the sunset. It offers free car parking. I don't think we gonna find such a nic place to stay during our trip again. Really recommendable.||CONs: The TV is a bit to small to really watch something. That is the only thing.

Small units designed very efficiently. Cold A/C, comfortable bed, strong wifi unlike past review, clean, nice kitchenette. Great walking location to beaches and many restaurants.||We stayed a week and had no complaints. Plenty of parking. Was not expecting such a nice room for the price. Lovely owners from Belgium.

We booked Michelo online and actually were kind of dreading it because we were on a budget and according to its price point, were worried it might be a little bit sketchy. It was really quite quaint though I'm happy to report. We didn't need the room for much more than a shower and a bed and it had both. The room was clean and came equipped with anything I could think of needing. We didn't even use very much of what was offered but I will definitely remember next time. The kitchen space, though small comes with a burner, coffee machine, dishes, cuttlery, microwave and mini fridge so you could cook dinner in your room if you wanted. The owner told me he has the property sprayed so we had no trouble with pesky sand flies. Also on the property was a (I wish I knew the name of what it's called) but a dome for meditation, prayer, yoga ect which was really cool. They also have a private sundeck on top. It's not very far from town as many of the other listings are and you can walk back and forth while others in the area would require a taxi at night especially. Overall was really happy with the stay and would stay again!

Michelo Suites offers ultra-clean, comfortable, fully-equipped modern accommodations in the compact, streamlined, European style, suitable for a stay of a few days or a few months in Placencia. Our suite included a comfortable queen-sized bed, and an equally comfortable futon bed/sofa, mini-kitchen complete with refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster and cook-top, dishes and pots/pans, a breakfast bar with stools, a full wall unit of storage cubbies, roomy bathroom with shower, and a sweet enclosed deck with table and chairs. Air conditioning and WiFi work well. Although not an ocean-front property, the beach and boardwalk with shops and restaurants are only a few steps away. The owners are extremely kind and even helped us make arrangements for our final night accommodations in Belize City at their favorite hotel. Our only disappointment was traffic noise in the evening (the reason for 4 of 5 stars). But even this subsided by bedtime, and our nights were restful.

This was an ok place to stay with friends for the night. The rooms are small but clean. Also, the shower works fine. Michael (who runs the four room hotel) is very helpful and nice. There is no restaurant or other avtivities at the hotel. For bathing, the beach is a couple of 100m away.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a little bit of a walk out of town but the rooms were very clean. We had a small kitchen and all necessary cooking utensils. If you dont mind being a small distance from the main buzz its perfect.
