Michigan Flight Museum

The Michigan Flight Museum is a true hidden gem for aviation enthusiasts. While it is a smaller museum, the space is exceptionally well-utilized and filled with high-quality, well-preserved displays. The aircraft are in mint condition, ranging from World War II-era "flying machines" to modern jets and interactive cockpit trainers. The staff and volunteer docents are incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate, often providing personalized tours that bring the history of Willow Run and "Rosie the Riveter" to life.

Amazing time to spend there. We really enjoyed every moment. Everything there makes you feel the old time in wwI and wwII. Proud to see those heroes photos

It was an amazing experience visiting the Michigan flight museum with our toddler. It was really insightful to see how Michigan contributed to the nation ever since the World War. Everything is detailed and we loved it. They have a wide range of display of the fighter planes that were used during different historical wars. A lot more interesting additions could be seen. We loved it!

A historically significant flight museum. It's main focus is WWII and the "Arsenal of Democracy" that took place in the nearby and now defunct plant operated by Henry Ford and in factories throughout Michigan. The "Rosy the Riveter" section is well done. Actual planes, jets and a helicopter are in the museum and the staff is very friendly and readily answer questions about the exhibits.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of great exhibits. You can sit in a cockpit and pretend to be a pilot. See lots of metals, guns, planes and stories from many different wars. Ages 7 and up is best with a thirst for history. Not busy. You can use a Map pass from the library to get a discount.

Enjoyed our visit. Our last day in Detroit area.. WWII is an interesting era to myself. Learning more about Rosie Riverter and the important role they played during this time.
