For those in the church area looking for a good place for snacks and beer, Mick is definitely a great option. The pub is very spacious, and even on game days, there's always room for one more customer. Of course, if you have an event or are going with friends and will be spending a day in the area, I recommend making a reservation. In addition to the indoor area, they also have a patio for summer and spring, which is pet-friendly. For customers with disabilities, the establishment has spring-loaded doors, tables that are height-compatible with wheelchairs and walkers, smooth, crack-free flooring, and an adapted bathroom with grab bars, and ample space to accommodate customers. Unfortunately, they don't have a menu in Braille, but the staff is always available to assist with anything needed. The pub's menu is digital, accessible via QR code, and offers a great variety of appetizers and main courses. For those with children, the pub does not have a children's menu, and there are no changing tables in the restrooms. For those using public transport, the pub is located on the street near the College metro station and close to several bus and streetcar stops. For those arriving by car, there is no on-site parking, but there are several private parking lots in the area.

Burgers are great! Fish and Chips were good as well. Our server Miranda was incredible, personable and provided fantastic service. Everything was so good we went back the next night. Blue Jays were playing Game 6 and it was a mad house but we were still able to get in and have a few drinks before ordering take away. Bartender was also very quick and friendly. Great place all around. Definitely a place we would go to again.

Google
Stopped in for some wings and beer, pretty awesome place. Across the street from Maple Leaf Gardens, it’s a great place to grab a beer. I mainly wanted to write this review because our server did an awesome job while we were there. Wings were good, beer was cold, music was on. It’s a good place to visit.

Google
We had Miranda as a waitress this weekend and we adored her. She was everything you would want in a waitress. I had a headache and she went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. All our food was perfect. My bf is super picky and asked for a specific order she didn't even write it down but got it exactly right ❤️ I loved the atmosphere , we loved that it has been here for a long time the pub had an old world charm. Miranda if you see this I just want you to know you are a beautiful human & your smile and bubbly spirit made our weekend that much more special. Never change you, you're 1 of a kind ❤️❤️ Thank You ❤️❤️

Google
Decent bar with decent pub food. Super friendly service and surprisingly the food is decent as far as pub fair goes. The wings were dope. The pool tables need some maintenance work but other than that no real complaints.

Google
This place has been around since I was 17 years old. Still looks the same, with some extra wear and tear, (just like the rest of us). We are staying at Princess Margaret Cancer Lodge, and decided to take advantage of a beautiful afternoon walk. Decided to give it a whirl after 50 years. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked…on par with our own recipe. The smash burger was delicious…juicy, tasty and not overcooked. We were served by the bartender, who quickly became overrun by a legion of students. She was awesome!! 😎 She hugged me as we were leaving, and I thanked her and the cook for an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back…good walking distance to Princess Margaret Lodge!

Google
Miranda is the reason my friends and I will be returning to Mick E Fynn’s for our monthly catch ups. She was so incredibly kind, and I loved all her drink recommendations. Truly an awesome person.

Google
My friends and I accidentally ended up in a bar. The atmosphere there is interesting and dark, reminiscent of American bars from movies. The bar has pool tables and loud music plays from the speakers. The waitress serves very well and pleasantly. The food is delicious, especially the fish and chips, but the other chicken burgers were spicy, so you should study the menu carefully and choose something else. The beer here is very tasty. The only downside is that it is too dark.

Yelp
great location across from the old maple leads gardens plus they have land shark on tap I haven't eaten here maybe low rating is from tourists? when they realize how expensive and mediocre toronto is....?

Yelp
The night we were here it was extremely full. Saturday night. Was not able to get service without going up to the bar.

Yelp
Food was solid, pretty middle-of-the-road bar fare. What stood out was how hard the owners were working to keep everyone cool on a really hot day. The wait staff was impeccable. Funny, friendly, and on top of it. That kind of service makes a difference.

Yelp
Mick E Fynn's is an absolute disaster of a bar. The bartender yells at customers as if serving drinks is beneath him, and the other staff seem determined to make you feel unwelcome. It's truly impressive how quickly they switch to aggression--like they'd rather fight you than serve you. The crowd is no better. They're loud, obnoxious, and couldn't care less if they're ruining your evening. The pool table, perpetually hogged by the same rude patrons, might as well not exist. If you're looking for a place where you can actually enjoy yourself, stay far away; Mick E Fynn's excels only at cursing, hostility, and making you regret ever stepping inside.

Sam L.

Yelp
Rude staff overall - both passive aggressive and just not friendly. They sent me home to get my ID (in a very rude tone - I know they're doing their jobs I respect that but it doesn't have to be said so rudely) And then they didn't even check my ID when I came back and served me without seeing it even though they wouldn't "allow me to be in the building" beforehand.

Yelp
I generally don't like writing a review for a place without sampling any of their food, but I had an experience at Mick E Fynn's that's so different from many of the oddly negative reviews here that I just had to throw in my two cents. I showed up around 6:00 on a recent window and immediately snagged a pretty sweet window table. My server showed up about a minute after I sat down to ask if I wanted a drink. I had a question about one of the beer specials, and she was extremely helpful in terms of explaining what it was all about. I had a couple more drinks, and the service was never not completely on point. I'll definitely return sometime soon to sample the joint's edible offerings.

Rob Z.

Yelp
Our waitress Miranda was extremely patient and hardworking. She was fun and engaging throughout, which, considering my group's behavior, is a strong testament to her willpower as well. good food too

Yelp
It's a pub, you know? Decent beer list, nachos needed more cheese, and pleasant enough service. We were there early-ish (8:30 - 10 p.m.) on a Saturday night and liked the music (plus it wasn't too loud so we could talk!) and I was happy to have Newcastle on draft & our server was very nice, but we kept having to grab a certain person (a bartender, maybe?) to fix the pool table (not all the balls are released when the money goes in). So my question is this: If your pool table is broken and you know your pool table is broken, instead of giving attitude that you need to come unlock it to release the balls every time, why not fix it? Or put an "out of order" sign on it? Sadly, the cute one with the old Maple Leafs logo was not usable, which is too bad. But I get it: It's a collectors item (a big, space-consuming collectors item.) In short, this place is fine, but I doubt I'll go back during my next Toronto visit.

Wyld W.

Yelp
Manager (Ivan) denies service to people based on appearance. If he thinks you are poor or unhoused, he'll kick you out. I followed up after a friend reached out to me when she was denied service and he was incredibly rude. I have eaten there before by myself or with other friends (her included) and there has never been a problem until he was there. My friend said that the waitress kept apologizing when he wouldn't let her be served. I will not be going back, nor will I suggest this place any further for people who ask me about a wheelchair accessible restaurant. Peace.

Yelp
This is my favourite local watering hole. The space is really big, so it's never too busy. They have a big big patio, a big bar, and about 3 or 4 separate seating areas (high tops, booths and regular tables) and one that is somewhat corner off if you want to have a big private party. The food is all great. Though they reduced their menu recently :( No more fried mushroom caps. Their burgers are garlicky and delicious. And their nachos are easily one of my favourite in the city - especially b/c they are one of the few places that have lettuce on the nachos. Over the years, their nacho portions have gotten smaller, but they are still amazing with layered cheese and tons of sour cream and veggies. A couple of qualms: you can't have booze on the patio after 11, and occasionally the servers will be slow. But I find it's usually the new-ish people. They have a few servers that I recognize who are always upbeat and on the ball with drinks, food and just all around awesomeness.

Yelp
Excellent lineup of Canadian beers. For some reason I can't figure out, most of the bars and restaurants in this city have a lot of fine Canadian beers. ;.) Otherwise, you are looking at Chili's here. Average hamburger and jalapeno poppers. Inferior French fries. I left mine uneaten. Nice dark room with a lot of wood and good sports TVs.

Yelp
The bar was busy because there was a FIBA exhibition game across the street. No one was seating people a sign said seat yourself. I asked a waiter if it was ok to sit on the side room and he said yes and handed me menus. We sat there for for almost 20 minutes. I went to the bar and asked if there was a waitress for the side area. She responded "you can see we are busy. We will get there in a little while". I said can you tell me when and she responded "when we get a chance we are all very busy" There are plenty of places to eat in Toronto. No need to deal with rude unprofessional staff that doesn't know how to plan for an event in the arena across the street Avoid this place

Yelp
I'm all for a dive bar, which Mick E Fynn's most definitely is, but when the server isn't even surprised/ doesn't even care when a cockroach crawls across your table? Disgusting. I've been here multiple times and would have given it a solid 3/5, but after the last encounter I'm done for good and totally grossed out. Call Orkin for the whole place instead of just the kitchen maybe.

Yelp
As a self proclaimed burger aficionado, I was excited to go to a real pub to try another countries version of the burger. Not that you can stray too far from what a burger is supposed to be but I was surprised here. I learned that all the burgers in Canada have to be cooked to well-done by law due to an outbreak years ago related to undercooked beef. I think a few people died. As a result, my burger came out extremely legal. I was too hungry to really mind but I would have loved the option. My server was really chill and attentive. Our burger and fries came out and were devoured without complaint. We sat outside because the weather was so nice but there were tons of TV's on inside. We stumbled into this place and decided to try it. No regrets. Not so humbly submitted, Michael C.

Yelp
Solid pub-style restaurant. A pound of wings for $12.99 was intimidating, but I had the waitress pick a style (breaded or naked) and a sauce for me because it was my first time here. I also ordered a side of onion rings. She chose a breaded wing with their Fire & Ice sauce (a honey-garlic sauce mixed with hot). The food was really good. The waitress was attentive and I couldn't have asked for a better service.

Yelp
After 25 years of driving or walking past this place, I visited 3 times over the past year to catch some UFC & Boxing PPVs. Overall, it's a basic, usable local pub that served my sole purpose and I imagine "it'l do" for those looking for a place to drink a lot without too much of a downtown mark up. They never charged cover for any of the events I went for. The layout is OK for watching TV - could have more larger screens but whatever. Some reviews called it dingy but I actually thought it was OK - I've been to far stuffier & smellier pubs of similar vintage & price point in the Yonge-Eglinton area as well downtown. One issue I had on my first visit was that nobody came back after leaving me the bill, so I put my payment & tip in the tray and took to one of the bartenders, about a minute later I'm leaving and the other bar person runs after me saying I didn't pay. Fortunately my tray, bill & money were still sitting there on their side of the bar so we got it straight very soon but they seemed amateurish - it wasn't busy at all and there shouldn't have been the confusion. Not gonna be my go to place but it's nice to know they're there is I need 'em.

Yelp
Summary: come here if you want sub par food, sub par alochol and sub par servicr. In other words AVOID at all costs even if it's your last resort. I rarely have to ever wrote reviews for anywhere but what happened to us there last night I think this place is a joke. We went there last night for game 5 of the raptors final game after not being able to find a place anywhere else downtown kind of like a last resort kind of thing and I can see why its a last resort. I get it that its busy but we waited well over an hour for overpriced nachos and a overpriced burger which was overcooked and just utterly disgusting. Did I also mention the beer that tasted a bit stale to me? I would normally be able to put it with that on a usual night but not after what happened to my friends and I. The tipping point for me and when my friends and I decided to leave was when the rude and obnoxious security "Flynn Security guard 1097293" told my 5'0" friend that she couldn't go in because she was being rude and obnoxious. Now yes she is my friend and it may seem like I am defending her but she is the absolute opposite of that. I tried reasoning with him and even offered him some money to try to smooth things over but he wouldn't have any of it and instead he was the one that was rude and obnoxious. I tried talking to the on duty manager at the time, Falon, explaining our case and assuring that my friend was not and she was being rude and obnoxious. What a joke of an establishment. If you don't believe me there are also other reviews for this place saying the exact same thing. AVOID THIS PLACE EVEN IF IT'S YOUR LAST RESORT!

Yelp
I've been coming here since 2001 every week and this place is great and this place has been my local. They have always had great music, great food, best wings in the city, every sandwich is great, burgers are homemade. Lots of tvs if you like sports and a great patio The staff and owners are wonderful to guests. If you're ever in the area check it out. Joe "shakes" G

Yelp
Today, I walked into Mick E Fynn's at about 2pm. There was 1 customer in there. I asked the bartender if they were going to be showing the Liverpool FC vs Manchester United Derby game, on the tele, with some volume, at 3 pm. She said "No, probably not". Some pub. Irish? You won't ever catch me in there again. That's for sure.

Yelp
3 star pub with slight dive bar vibes. Nothing overly impresses or disappoints here. The beer selection is pretty vast, but all big brands with no craft taps. Either way you'll find something to drink though as they at least have a variety of styles to choose from. The food menu is standard pub food. I had a burger and I'll say it was okay, with the exception of the fact that there were no pickles on it and the cheese is clearly processed cheese slices. But for a couple drinks and a couple of burgers with fries to ring up for less than $60 after tax and tip, I got what I expected to. The one benefit I will say is they have a patio, and it is partly covered so even if it starts to rain you will likely be okay unless sitting right up against the fencing separating the patio from the street. And there are pool tables inside if you need some recreational activities with your drinking. And the staff were friendly enough. So 3 stars indeed for Mick E. Fynn's.

Jon O.

Yelp
I really can't believe this place still exists. It's a straight-laced grungy pub across from old Maple Leaf Gardens just off the beaten path from the Gay Village. The food is typical pub fare with no flair. You can select your own music from the jukebox, which you can view as a positive (if you're willing to shell out the cash) or a negative (if you're friend wants to play AC DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" over and over again). The wait staff try their best to pretend they're not working in a crap pub next to the weird 60s fryer smell of Golden Griddle next door. Did I mention it's grungy? The prices are decent, so drop by if you're looking for a certain type of atmosphere and to try it out for yourself. Maybe it's just that I'm becoming a snob...

Yelp
Mick E. Fynn's has that feeling of old neighbourhood pub, you know? I really like this. The food is GREAT, probably the best poutine around. I'm also a crazy fan of the jalapeno poppers. My stomach probably hates Mick E. Fynn's They have every kind of drinks, those they don't have they'll make for you, cider (Strongbow) on tap, pool tables, and a $1 oldschool jukebox. The bad: the staff usually ignores my presence. I don't know why, but it happened more than once. I hate when I have to go to the counter to ask for something and there's a waitress there just chatting with someone. If you can deal with this kind of waitress, it's a cool place for food and drinks, because it's not even expensive.

Yelp
We needed a beer and some grub after a long flight. We were pointed here. We needed food, but did not have much in the way of expectations. They exceeded everything. The service was good and friendly. The beer came quickly and our server had made a good rcommendation. We ordered potato skins and fish and chips. Both exceeded our expectations. The tartar sauce was home made. Although the music was a bit loud, it came from our era. We had a great time and got some food and drink after a long day. First good choice of the trip.

Yelp
This place must have been very different when Maple Leaf Gardens was alive and kicking. One time, a friend of mine asked about that and the staff gave him a blank look. Mick E Fynn's is a college bar that takes on different atmospheres depending on what day of the week it is. The Thurs-Fri-Sat trifecta of college drinking seeing this place turn into a gong show, with a dance floor and loud top 40/pop rock playing all night. If you happen to go on any of the other nights (or days) of the week, you're bound to have a quieter, much more relaxed environment. Pitchers of beer run for about $13, so you can rest assured that you're getting fair prices. They've got a variety of pub food, none of which has ever made me think anything other than 'thank god i have something in my stomach.' The staff here is excellent. The bartenders are all very friendly, especially that long haired guy. The servers who come table to table are also excellent, and generally on the ball.

Yelp
So, after enjoying 2 bottles of wine on another patio nearby, my friend and I decided to stop in here for 'one more drink', before heading home. Looks like your average pub, and when we arrived, it was close to 11pm. We were seated at a high top for 2, next to another group of about 3 or 4 people. The music wasn't terribly loud and the atmosphere was "pubby", kinda what you'd expect in a pub. So, as we sat at our hightop waiting for our server, my friend decided to walk up to the bar and order our drinks, at which point, she was told that she couldn't order drinks at the bar and that she had to go back to our table and wait for our server...ummm, what?! Anyway, she came back to the table and we waited for about 5 minutes longer before our server stopped by our table. We each ordered a pint and a pound of wings to share - medium. The beer was good, but the wings were a little too hot (for my friend) not for me. To be fair, we ordered medium and they were quite hot...I suspect there may have been a mix up with our order...not a biggie for me, but if you're not expecting your wings to be hot... The washrooms was pretty disgusting, just old and very dated...needs a paint job, new flooring - something! To be honest, we were expecting this place to be a lot better than it turned out. However, after being told we couldn't order drinks from the bartender AT THE BAR, and receiving the wrong wings, my friend was hit on by some old drunk dude as we were leaving...this was the highlight of our visit and worth a well deserved laugh (and thus an extra star for this review).

Yelp
I have been there in the past but most recently during Gay Pride weekend. I had a large group of people with me. Service was slow but considering it was Pride weekend we were in no rush and we were happy to chill and rest our poor aching backs from standing and walking up and down Church St. ha!! I had the wings and fries. The wings were hot and tasty but the fries could have been cooked longer. My friends liked the beer selection and prices. They enjoyed playing pool. The rest of us took over part of the patio!! ha! Considering how busy the place was, the bathrooms were still reasonably clean! Our lovely server was still helpful and pleasant considering how stressed out she was! We defended her against another table of drunks! We did have one random guy sit at the end of our table who was getting really mouthy in an ugly kind of way.. so I went to the door guys and they got him to move from our area.

Yelp
I had a big, thirsty group (Toronto Outdoor Club) to take care of after we finished ice skating across the street. Called up Mick E Fynn's to give them a heads up on our needs in advance. We arrived and everything was ready for us. The server was wonderfully attentive and funny to boot. She handled all our requests expeditiously. In addition to excellent staff, this place has a great selection of food and drinks for all to enjoy. No wonder it has been serving the neighbourhood for so many years. Looking forward to many more return visits.

Yelp
Generic Irish Bar which had meh beer (the special for domestic pitchers only started at 10), meh food and the hockey game on way too loud.

Yelp
I went here a few years back for some 'grub' and I remember it being average pub food at average pub prices. I went here again last weekend on Saturday night, didn't stay that late, till about midnight, and wasn't particularly impressed. It wasn't very crowded, but that was actually a good thing as we weren't there to get drunk (3 of us weren't even drinking at all that night, myself included). We played pool and foozball. The Foozball was one of the absolute worst tables I have ever seen, rickety, in dim light, with the ball getting stuck on its way in and there's a little cage around it so you won't steal the balls. It costs 50 cents a game which I guess is fine but it lasts about 2 minutes. It's also right next to the washrooms. The pool was better however there are only 3 tables and $2 a game. The whole experience is all very average. Good because it's downtown and not filled to the brim with people but also not a particularly fun or exciting place. I wouldn't mind checking it out on a night where there is a party or event to see if it gets any better. It's a solid choice if you're in the hood and looking for an average place to have a beer. One thing they had which I've never seen before is a boxing game which is ridiculous at $1 per 2 punches. Being an average height girl there with all strong men, I thought it was a long boxing match so I hit it once, softly and got a "baby" score at 5 whereas my fella hit it and got a 738 score. Then the other people playing pool saw it and wanted to play so that was cue to get out, there wasn't enough left to do there any more.
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
They don't take debit and direct you to the ATM machine if you don't have cash or credit. A pitcher of domestic (e.g. Molson Canadian) will run you $20. I haven't tried any of the food here so this rating is strictly for the inconvinice of not having debit :)

Yelp
Make early before the crowd beers cold and the jalapeno poppers are hot get better service you make it early afternoon between 12 and 2 il give it 4 stars
google avatar

Jason E.

Yelp
This is an OK bar, their wings are good, go for the hot ones, rather than 'suicide'. Their suicide wings are made with military grade chili which is served on the side. I saw a guy carelessly dip a crudite into this particularly vicious sauce. His throat caught fire and they had to put it out with half a pint of milk which they keep under the bar in front of anyone foolish enough to order them. Additionally, at all costs say 'no' if they ask you if you'd like their breaded wings. Under the fried flour these are the fattiest lumps of unpleasantness that you will ever put in your mouth. The staff are pleasant enough and they have all the usual Canadian beers. This is really a place for locals or somewhere to get away from the bar at the Holiday Inn if you need to rather than a venue as such.
google avatar

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Fynn's is your typical "college pub", it's right up the street from Ryerson and across from Maple Leafs Garden. The pub has had a resurgence since the rink has opened above Loblaws, so if you're looking to grab a quiet pint, this is not the place. I've never eaten the food, and I'm not even sure I would want to given the state of the floor and run down interior. The bathrooms need a little help, so if you can hold it, hold it. The best thing about this place....the beer is cheap and cold.

Sara M.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews but after what I experienced last night, I feel I have to share my thoughts. So I've been here numerous times and have generally received good service. Last night I came in for a glass of wine and was served by a male bartender who was extremely rude to me. He asked me to pay up immediately and when I handed him my card, he snatched it out of my hand. I read that this happened to a previous reviewer. I am also careful before making accusations of racism but it's clear that it is an issue here. Needless to say I am not going back and the bartender did not receive a tip.

Yelp
Pros 1. Their thai grilled chicken salad is amazing 2. Their menu is always delicious 3. The environment is nice 4. Billards table 5. Servers are nice Cons. 1. No debit. They only take credit or cash

Yelp
As a Ryerson Student, I am very much a fan of Fynn's as it's the unofficial campus bar. I've been there countless times over the last 3 years. It's the 'default' bar when we want to go have a quick beer, OR if you had a bad day, its a good place to have a few pitchers. Don't expect anything fancy, no need to dress up, its also not a place where you are to 'be seen'. Its by no means a hip place to go, its just a casual no-bull hang out with friends. Thursday nights are always busy, there is never cover but often a line after 10:30. Tables are moved away for those who are drunk enough to want to dance. But of course, the place is only as good as the friends you are with.

Yelp
A couple weeks ago on a Friday evening after our meeting nearby, our group decided to go to Mick E Fynn's for some drinks and food. When we got there it was already fairly busy but the server was real nice and quickly put together a few tables and we were good to go. We ordered our drinks, they had so many beer selections, we decided on Canadian and Stiegl pitchers. The beer was nice and cold. We got a few orders of taquitos and nachos as appetizers. The taquitos were homemade and the nachos were tortilla chips covered with melted cheese and fresh nacho veg on top, a nice touch were the tortilla formed bowls used to hold the salsa and sour cream. The chicken wings, burgers and wraps were all great. We asked to have one lb of the chicken wings tossed in their suicide sauce but were told it was too hot and could only be on the side, good thing too, was super hot but had great flavor.. Great job guys and thanks for taking us on such short notice next time we'll make a reservation.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times were TERRIBLE! The first time my husband and I went for breakfast. The food was awful; eggs overcooked, bacon burnt, our orders were wrong. While we tried to choke down the food, we could hear and see the kitchen employees complaining and yelling about how awful the management is. When my husband tried to have his order corrected (he had asked for an extra egg and didn't get it) I thought the cook was going to have a fit he was so angry. Needless to say, we haven't gone back for food. The second time I went with a group of friends for drinks on a Saturday night. The music was really good and most of the evening was lots of fun. Then it was right before last call for drinks so my friends and I went to the bar to order. I was going to pay for the round, so I was at the bar ready to order. It was busy and taking a while; no big deal. A song came on that I really like so I was dancing a little bit while I waited. A male bartender with the most ridiculous hat came up and yelled at me for waving my arms at him. I tried to explain that I was just dancing and was not waving my arms at him but he walked away while I was talking to him. I tried to get his attention again to explain but he didn't really seem to be listening and walked away. I stood there in shock but assumed I would still be able to be served but he was clearly ignoring me. I asked another female bartender if I could speak to a manager but she told me the guy WAS THE MANAGER! (I guess I understand why the kitchen staff were so upset). Another customer who was standing next to me said he saw the whole thing and said he'd have a word with the manager/bartender. He did so, and the manager/bartender turned towards me and said, 'sorry, last call is over'. I couldn't believe it. He must have noticed the look on my face because he started yelling at me again and accused me of telling him I didn't want to be served, which was clearly not true. He also yelled at me for asking to talk to a manager. By this time I'm nearly in tears and quickly leave with my friends. I've never been treated so badly at a bar or restaurant. Needless to say I will never go back to this place.

Yelp
Good pub! The food was good and a great portion for the money. The wings were good, the fish and chips were a huge portion and the chicken or steak wraps were tasty.

Yelp
Awful bar. Rude arrogant staff. Went in when the place was empty and still the waitress could not have been worse.

Yelp
Decent Irish Pub and Sports Bar. It's right across from Maple Leaf Garden's, the old hockey arena, and I'm sure it was better when the Leafs played there. Seemed like a younger crowd in the place. We wanted to watch the World Series, but every TV in there had the Leafs game on except for 2 with the Raptors game. After the hockey game ended, the waiter tried for like 15 minutes to find the baseball game and finally put it on. We had a couple of Rickard's Red beers, which is a pretty good Canadian beer and an order of the hot wings, which were above average wings that were spicy but not too hot. I'd probably go back for wings and beer and to watch a game.

Yelp
Stopped in after watching a movie at the Carlton theatre, fast service with reasonably priced beer. Very friendly waitress who was very attentive to not only us but all the other patrons around us. Had the Banquet Burger with fries and it was really good, little pricey but location and service definitely made it worth the price. Only downside was no debit payment. Only cash or credit, there is an ATM on site for withdrawals but the service charge makes you a little wary. Debit is a not for profit organization so it is puzzling why they wouldn't have one. I would definitely like to come back on a nice day and try sitting on the patio for lunch. All in all a great place to grab dinner after a movie.

Yelp
been there only once but found the prices to be good and the staff was friendly. the music was a bit too loud for conversations but then there was a dance floor so for the dancing crowd the music was perfect. a few pool tables which we didn't use were packed with players. I would probably stop by if I'm in this area again or come to watch a sport game.

Yelp
Let's be honest, this place sucks...but that's what makes it so awesome! It's a large bar, that has a dance floor sometimes, and pool tables. People get trashed here at night and that is how it should be. The servers and bartenders aren't what you would call 'refined' but then they shouldn't be. This place is super dingy. It looks run down inside and if you're on the patio you're going to get harassed by panhandlers and weirdos. Luckily they have this super nice bouncer who keeps things chill in there. I had a buddy that lost his jacket one time, and the bouncer let the guy skip the line to go look for it. It was a stand up move. I'm sure that during the Maples Leafs tenure at the gardens, this place was amazing. It's not now, but it is still fun. Just stick to nachos, chicken fingers and club sandwiches. Don't expect the world from the back kitchen. If you want a slightly cooked apple floating in a top hat, go back to your douche-hipster bar in Roncesvalle. Also, it's amazing in September when all the non-rich Ryerson students go out to party.

Yelp
My mom and I stopped in here after eating dinner at a nearby restaurant - I like having a few drinks when I travel! My immediate reaction to the place is that it reminds me of bars at home (Dallas). I guess bars kind of look the same everywhere, though. At any rate, it's a decently sized faux-Irish pub. They have Strongbow on tap, which is just about my favorite thing ever, but they also have slow service, and either no air conditioner or no desire to turn the air conditioner on. I haven't decided which it was yet.

Yelp
This place needs a make over. It stinks like old grease. The menus are not clean and the drinks are over priced. A $7.00 shot? In this neighborhood? I don't even pay that in NYC. We ordered the nachos for the table and they were not good, kind of burnt. I will not be going back to this establishment. I guess the Ryerson crowd keeps it going and they must not be such a discerning crowd, because for regular people this place is pretty crappy. And on a Tuesday evening in Christmas week, the place was dead dead dead. You would think that it would be crazy busy with the hockey game on and all. The server was really good and friendly though. At least they had that going for them. With the beautiful Pogue Mahone's right down the street (stupid of us not to go there), we will NEVER come back here.

Yelp
Run down kinda place, but if you're not picky and just want some good old nachos/fries with a beer, this is the place to go. Speaking of the nachos, were they ever tasty. Lots of toppings and a good sized portion! Also the deep fried pickles are worth a try. There's a couple pool tables and TV's so if you're into that you're gonna have a good time!
