Micra Anglia Hotel - Andros

Our stay at Micra Anglia in Andros was absolutely wonderful and truly deserves 5 stars. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a refreshing homemade lemonade that immediately made us feel welcome. The property may be small, but it offers everything you need for a cozy and memorable stay. The rooms are elegant yet warm and cozy, the ambience is charming, and breakfast was a highlight with delicious choices served in a lovely setting. Homemade, fresh and high quality variety. Dinner options were also very good, with great quality food and attentive service. The location is excellent – right in Chora – so you can easily explore the town on foot without needing a car. For those arriving by ferry, the hotel also offers a convenient pickup service from Gavrion at an additional cost. We appreciated thoughtful touches like reserved parking and the option of a complimentary spa when booking packages. What made the stay truly special was the bright and cheerful staff, always going the extra mile to make us feel at home. Overall, Micra Anglia combines comfort, charm, and warm hospitality in the heart of Andros. A true gem we’d happily return to! Such a sweet gesture - from personalised welcome message with cookies to goodbye gift hamper with local liquor and homemade spread. A special shoutout to the team and Mr. George for great service.

A beautiful boutique hotel run by fabulous staff. George and his team are lovely, helpful and professional. They all went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable, especially when I arrived in an emotional state all alone and with no luggage! This was because my husband (with all our luggage) didn't make it onto the ferry ramp in time and the unhelpful ferry staff were in a rush; leaving me at the bottom of the ramp and him at the top. Husband had to go to Tinos overnight. The following morning, the ferries were cancelled due to high winds, so he was stuck on Tinos with all our luggage for 36 hours , leaving me with nothing but my handbag on Andros. George, Ioanna and Elena were exceedingly understanding and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel. P.S. The food is delicious, especially the generous buffet breakfast.

Outstanding. The location is central to the Chora and to some great beaches. The accomodation is excellent. Beautifully appointed and serviced so very well. The staff blew us away. The staff made our visit totally outstanding. From the welcome to meeting our requests, from the service at breakfast to our checkout the staff were totally on it. Made us feel like royalty. I can’t praise the staff enough for making our short one night stay so memorable.

Lovely staff, froondlist you will ever meet and they genuinely care about your experience. |The main lady and staff at breakfast are absolutely fantastic and really catered for my vegan husband in a special way. |Reception staff , Giorgos and his team are very smiley, pleasant and help you with anything!!! We felt very happy staying there with good location near Chora. ||Dinner is slightly overpriced but good quality.||Bedrooms are good but originally I paid extra to stay in a deluxe Seaview, but it was on the gorundfloor outside reception, making it very noisy as people go up and down the stairs with their flip flops. The Seaview is hardly noticeable as the main view is of the pool and the sea is in the corner if you stand well back form the window - I also thought it had a balcony as I like to dry my clothes and the photo o the room showed a balcony so do check before booking. Stay on the upper floor as it is quieter and away from reception. ||Giorgos moved us as I said our room was tiny and he was very accommodating and moved us to a bigger room but no sea view. ||If you hope to be near good clam beaches, do not stay in Chora as it is the windy part of the island, The best beaches are near Batsi. We ended up travelling 40 to 45 mins each day to get to a nice beach.

From the moment we stepped in the door of this wonderful hotel I knew we’d made the right choice. George and his staff made us truly welcome with a mini tour and a delicious glass of homemade lemonade. One of the many fabulous things this hotel offers is the informality. George has a wonderful sense of humour and whilst he ‘hates walking’; he was still very happy to give us a lot of information regarding the ancient paths around Chora. Our room, the breakfasts, the staff and location were all we could have wished for. You operate a marvellous business George and you should be very proud. Jean and I are looking forward to seeing you again - with my new hat!!

We had an amazing time at the Micra Anglia. I was traveling with a group of 6 and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful, friendly, enjoyable, and excited to help with whatever we needed. I can’t say enough how great everyone was. Ioanna, Giergos, Elana, Jason, and George all made sure everything was perfect. They recommended wonderful local restaurants, beaches, and activities. I look forward to returning to Andros.

We are a couple who travelled from Doha to Andros to celebrate our anniversary, just the two of us, without the kids. It was the perfect escape.|We stayed for five nights at Micra Anglia right in the heart of Chora. If you are looking to slow down, disconnect from city life this is the place to be.|The team made everything feel effortless, even a small request like a yoga mat for our morning stretches were met.|The island itself is a gem. Gorgeous beaches, lush nature, and delicious food at every turn. One of the highlights was walking over to the sister property to explore the vegetable garden and spending the day at the beach nearby highly recommended!

Sometimes you find yourself in a place that exceeds all expectations. And you feel it almost instantly - within a minute of arriving - because in the end, it’s the people who make the difference. That’s certainly true for the exceptionally warm and welcoming Micra Anglia Hotel. Professional service paired with genuine care for the guests. From breakfast to the beach bar, from the reception to the (in every way outstanding) head chef of the restaurant: everyone here works with skill, pride, and passion. This is undoubtedly also the merit of the manager, a true host who notices everything and will be there for you when needed. Five stars hardly do this place justice. We sincerely hope to return soon.
