This is my favorite place to visit when I come to Ile d'Orléans.
This great little micro-brasserie (micro-brewery) has been brewing great beers for many years now but they have started innovating even more in the last couple of years.
First, the location. You cannot beat this view. On a plateau overlooking the north side of the Saint-Lawrence river, with a view of Mont Sainte-Anne to the east and a glimpse of the gorge of Chutes Montmorency to the west. It's stunning. The pub has a wonderful outside terrasse to enjoy this great view.
The food is mostly standard pub fare, with a few interesting items thrown in. I've eaten here a few times and it's decent, but I really come for the beer, the view and the memories.
They have all their regular beers on tap, as well as seasonals in bottle. They unfortunately do not have a license to sell the bottles on site but you can go to a local convenience store, 200 metres up the road, and fill up on such great styles as Double IPA, chocolate/vanilla seasonal, etc.
