The server was very friendly and even helped us choose combos with extras that saved us some money. The view was stunning, and the food and drinks were just as great. We also really enjoyed the drive from the mainland — overall, a wonderful experience.

Excellent brewpub out on the île d'Orleans. The chicken wings are fabulous and the beer was very very good. We also had a small poutine. It was my first experience with poutine and I'm not sure that I really like it, or if maybe theirs was just a little off. Gravy seemed excessively sweet.

On the D'Orlean island, this is by far one of the most delicious fish and chips I have tasted. The fish was crispy and well cooked. It wasn't soggy or overcooked, they did a remarkable job and I was very happy with my meal. The scenery from this restaurant is also mesmerizing, you can see the beautiful waters surrounding the island and the nature. Parking is not an issue here either as there is lots of spots available right behind the restaurant. If you'd like a chill atmosphere to enjoy a meal, this is definitely the place to be! The restaurant was very clean and the staff were attentive, kind and nice to be around. The indoor decor/layout is decent as well. The music wasn't overwhelmingly loud, where I actually enjoyed my meal and having a conversation, which was nice to do!

Very nice meal with a view. Beer was pretty good as was the food. A great spot to relax at the end of a day of cycling.

Finding Le Miltan was a very pleasant surprise! A hidden gem in the “beating heart” of Quebec; the view and interior was beautiful. The food is very reasonably priced considering the amount and quality of the food (all ingredients are locally sourced, from the very island). Our waitress, Dominique, was very helpful and so sweet. In terms of the beer, although I am not a connoisseur, the selection was so big I am sure that there’s an option for everyone. Their boutique is also very nice and perfect if you want to buy a gift or a keepsake (gift boxes of beer and really cute merch).

Just okay! Did have a/c inside on a hot day so that was lovely! French onion soup and fish tacos were good.

I’ve been visiting Microbrasserie de l’Île d’Orléans for several years, and it never disappoints. Nestled in the picturesque Île d’Orléans, this brewery offers a cozy atmosphere with stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. Their craft beers are consistently excellent, with a variety of styles to suit different tastes. As a vegetarian, I appreciate their menu, which includes several delicious veggie options. The staff is always friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Occasionally, they feature live music, adding to the vibrant ambiance. If you’re in the Québec City area, I highly recommend making the short trip to this charming spot.

It is a lovely spot with an outdoor terrace with a view—many great beer choices. My favorites "Fraise Basilic". The food was good, and the portions were generous. On the way out, you can also exit through the beer store and buy some to go. Cheers.

Yelp
We came for the beer and decided to stay once we realized it was a pub. IMHO Mediocre food combined with an unexciting decor, the saving grace is the beer and the deck view of the river. Staff were very attentive and did their job well. My fish and chips consisted of fish that was likely out of a freezer bag, chips that had sat too long in the warming tray and room temperature wilted salad. Hubs burger patty was also likely from a freezer though he did note the bun was decent. Uninspired sums up the food which is too bad I enjoyed my IPA and hubs enjoyed his stout. Recommendation is to get a seat with a view and stick to the beer, skip the food. Would I return? No. Would I recommend? No, not for the food.

Yelp
First trip to the island and it was the only place we felt unwelcomed as American's. We were seated fairly quick and ordered a cider and beer which was fine but didn't see the server for about 30 minutes as she served native French speakers. At one point my wife and I had a feeling our waitress was talking about us to other customers but of course we have no proof. I suppose if you speak French, you'll be fine but if not, avoid at all costs!

Yelp
Nice location and friendly staff. Beer is average- I've had both better and worse. Tried the flight of 4- The white, blonde, Amber and red ale. The local sausages and sauerkraut however were outstanding .

Yelp
After a lovely day on Île d'Orléans we stopped in here for a very necessary lunch. We were recommended this place by a woman at one of the wineries we visited. She told us to keep our expectations low as it was one of the only places to get lunch in the area and described it as a "typical pub". We didn't realize that our expectations should have been this low.... The patio was full so we sat inside but close enough to the patio that we were able to enjoy the breeze. It was unseasonably warm the weekend we visited so I think it was busier than they expected. There were only 3 servers for the whole restaurant, the patio was full and inside was starting to fill up throughout our meal. Our server was very friendly but obviously frazzled. The servers were clearly overwhelmed and could not keep up with the orders and clearing of tables. Two groups left right after we sat down and the tables were not cleared throughout my entire meal. This attracted a lot of large black flies which were all over the table and we were swatting them away from our table the entire meal. For drinks my husband ordered one the red ale and I had a cider from one of the local cider mills just down the road. Both of our drinks were warm. For the food my husband had a burger and I had a pulled pork sandwich. Both came with a salad. I really wish I took a picture to show how pathetic it was. The lettuce was shredded lettuce that you would use as a topping for something else, it had a tomato slice, a red onion slice and a pile of dressing just dropped in the middle. It was really embarrassing. The hamburger looked terrible, it had a meatloaf type texture and my husband described it as inedible. The pulled pork sandwich was certainly not good but not terrible either - I was able to finish it but definitely didn't enjoy it. It took such a long time to pay for our meal. The servers were running around like crazy and I stood at the bar for over 15 minutes waiting to get the bill. My suggestion: stock up on snacks and food when you visit this beautiful little island and enjoy a longer stay with a picnic at one of the wineries and skip this place.

Yelp
This was terrible. I ordered the $15 cheeseburger which came without cheese and was a pre-formed, half-filler supermarket patty that was cooked to bone dry. At least they didn't make me pay for it.

Yelp
We wanted to start our tour of the I'lle off right so we stopped in at Le Mitan for some sudsy brews and lunch eats. We headed straight for the patio as we entered, snagged a table for 2 and breathed in the beautiful views. Since it was a microbrewery, we ordered the Classic Sampler ($8.95) and the Expert Sampler ($9.95) so we could try a bit of everything. Both featured eight 2-oz samples from their beer selection. For lunch, we ordered the local sausage plate ($16.95) which featured 2 locally made sausages and the fish and chips ($13.95). As we waited for our food, we started in on the our beer samplers. I really enjoyed many from the classic sampler, including the maple beer. If I didn't need to stay awake for the whole tour of the island, I would have ordered myself a full pint of that one. The Expert sampler, had more hoppy and IPA-ish beers that I didn't love. Food was pretty standard pub fare. Local sausages were good. Fish pieces were on the smaller side. I'd definitely recommend this place for the beer and the outdoor views. I wish all my pub visits had a patio like this!

Yelp
This is my favorite place to visit when I come to Ile d'Orléans. This great little micro-brasserie (micro-brewery) has been brewing great beers for many years now but they have started innovating even more in the last couple of years. First, the location. You cannot beat this view. On a plateau overlooking the north side of the Saint-Lawrence river, with a view of Mont Sainte-Anne to the east and a glimpse of the gorge of Chutes Montmorency to the west. It's stunning. The pub has a wonderful outside terrasse to enjoy this great view. The food is mostly standard pub fare, with a few interesting items thrown in. I've eaten here a few times and it's decent, but I really come for the beer, the view and the memories. They have all their regular beers on tap, as well as seasonals in bottle. They unfortunately do not have a license to sell the bottles on site but you can go to a local convenience store, 200 metres up the road, and fill up on such great styles as Double IPA, chocolate/vanilla seasonal, etc.

Yelp
We visited Pub Le Mitan at the end of a leisurely drive around Île d'Orléans. We sat out on their patio which looks south toward the mainland with a great view of the river. We ordered the Palette Classiq (Classic Sampler) and the Palette Expert (Expert Sampler). The Classiq included their regular beers while the Expert included two extra seasonal beers. The most memorable were the Monseigneur D'Esgly (a dark rich stout) and the Abel Turcault (an Ale with a hint of scotch), both of which are available year round. Service was OK, nothing special. Our lack of french was not a problem for our server. Overall average beer, but a great view. Side note: Although they sell bottles of their beers here, it is way cheaper (half price) to buy them from SAQ or a grocery store.

Yelp
Food was average at best, service seemed slow and unresponsive. Cannot recommend. Food seemed to come out of a freezer and had no flavour or texture beyond "blah". Try something else on this road. Didn't try the microbrews. They may be good, but avoid the food. It's not worth your time or money. Does have a nice view.

Yelp
I have been vacationing in Quebec every winter for almost 20 years, but I foolishly overlooked I'lle d'Orleans until recently. Pub Le Mitan has an outstanding selection of locally crafted beers. Their Scotch Ale and Extra Stout were perfect on a cold December afternoon. They also have a great (locally produced) maple syrup seasoned beer. The View is great - Pub Le Mitan is on a hillside overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Across the river you can see Monmorency Falls, Beaupre, Mt. Set. Anne... There is excellent outdoor seating with a great view. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
This was the worst restaurant during our entire visit to Quebec (and possibly ever). We arrived for a late lunch after cycling 3/4 of the island. We were pretty hungry and wanted a nice place to relax. I had to stand by an outside table and wait for someone to clear it (which I later realized was the norm. Everyone who entered the outdoor seating area, sat at an unclear and dirty table until someone got around to clearing and cleaning the table). I ordered a chef salad and a glass of wine. My husband ordered a burger and a beer. Our drink order came out in about 10 minutes. After waiting 50 minutes, my husband asked our waiter where our food was. He came back a few minutes later and told us our order did not get placed. He said it would be out shortly. It arrived 5 minutes later. The chef salad was a plain side salad (not a chef salad). The burger was awful, not even sure if it was beef and the fries were the frozen shoestring type. The beer and wine were okay (I did not expect much from the wine since it is a microbrewery), but the dining experience was a big disappointment. It seems like this is the only place on this side of the island and they don't seem to care about the service or the food quality. The waiter seemed surprised that we were not happy we our meal or the service.
