Very close to the congress centre and transport, impeccably clean and modern (only built in 2010), and, most importantly, very relaxed and friendly service from the owners, even coming to pick me up from the airport. Nothing fancy but really all I wanted to feel at home. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if coming here for conferences.

I have stayed at much bigger hotels near Congress centre in Basel. this family run hotel gave me best service, ambience and confortness (spotless clean and spacious room). Ivana warmly greeted me with free welcome drink and asked me if I wished to enjoy it in the restaurant or upstairs in the room. very kind and thoughtful as she knew I might be exhausted after 13 hrs flights and 1 hr train. She also reminded me the rain and land me umbrella if I need one.
Yasmina brought me a whole bag with adaptors to make sure at least one of them is right for my plugs.
Nicola the owner made sure we are taken care of and also sent us to the airport with no charge.
none of them reminded me to write something here or on TripAdvisor. they just want us to be treated well and happy when away from home. this is fabolulous stay and thanks everyone! I wish I could be back again in future.

Room stunk of cigarettes, rohjad front desk guy was rude as can be charged me hidden fees that were not advertised or disclaimed in the reservation process... threatened to kick us out and made us sign a no smoking paper and yet here we are... the shower curtaint was falling off the wall and the light switchs were dirty... he refused to give me a refund so.. I highly recommend not coming to this disgusting hotel...
