LOVE this place. An extraordinary collection of art work beautifully installed around the park. I spent. almost three hours here and I'm sure I didn't even see half of what is on offer. Staff is very friendly and the park is set up with seating around the grounds. People were having picnics. A very special place. And it's free.

Beautiful park filled old trees, flowers and sculptures from some well known artists. Well, worth the trek out to stroll and take in the art probably one of the more interesting parks in the world.

There are a couple of parks and forests with works of art throughout. It's free! There are toilets and water fountains, and a pub if that's what you fancy. I didn't take many photos of the artworks. They come with a QR code so you can learn more which I found handy.

We visited Middelheim Park on weekend. If would like to have a calm and silent weekend, you will be at correct place. We combined peaceful atmosphere with art. There is lots of modern statuses on the park. I advice you to use barcodes label just in front of the statuses to understand details. Additionally I advice to eat some snack or drinks at the restaurant located on the park entry. There is free parking spaces near entry, if you could go before noon time. Your child will be happy there by joining arranged special activities too.

A delightful public space with a wide assortment of mainly early/mid-20thC sculptures set in beautiful park land. The cafe terrace was a particular positive on what was a sunny afternoon: good selection of hot snacks, beers and coffees. High recommend and will certainly visit again!

Absolutely beautiful artsy park about 3.5 km from Antwerp Central Station and easily accessible by bus, car or bike. Strikes a good balance between art and park with an amazing array of contemporary art which are displayed in the open air. There is also a wide range of unique trees which are appropriately labelled. Not too many people and tourists. Free entry and they have an app that can help in navigating through the park and identifying the art. If you want to lose yourself in thought, immerse yourself in nature while enjoying beautiful pieces of art, there is no better place in Belgium. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Antwerp and with some time to spare.

Beautiful park and sculptures. Must visit when in Antwerp. If you follow the main route through the park it’s roughly 3km. Don’t forget to visit the terrace for a beer and a salade or sandwich.

Middelheim Museum in Antwerp is a serene haven of sculpture and nature. The open-air gallery amidst lush greenery creates a harmonious blend of art and environment. The diverse collection of sculptures, ranging from classical to contemporary, sparks contemplation and admiration. The park's layout invites leisurely strolls, making it a peaceful escape for art lovers. Middelheim's commitment to accessibility and its free admission policy contribute to its welcoming charm. A visit to this unique museum is a refreshing cultural experience that seamlessly integrates art with the beauty of the outdoors. Five stars for an enriching and tranquil artistic retreat!

Yelp
Public Art at its absolute finest. Bravo Antwerp! A beautiful, open, leafy park full of statues and sculptures. SO cool! It was a godsend after being cooped up inside the house for a few days of rain. We all got out to the park and my toddler was able to roam, explore, jump in the leaves, stomp in the dirt and I got to enjoy a gorgeous park and really nice art installations. Win/win. (Although I am pretty sure his favorite part was the construction equipment, but hey -- that's sort of art in its own way, right!?) Make your way to Middelheimmuseum -- fresh air, art, free space to roam, great for kids, and a quick stop into Cafe Mika, all the makings of a lovely afternoon. It was a nice mix of travelers and locals, kids, adults, dogs, everyone is welcome. *restrooms available at several locations. *free entry. *kits can be checked out at the gift shop (near cafe) for children to have guided exploration. Great for school aged kids.

Yelp
Big beautiful parks with great sculptures, trees, lakes and creeks all around. Our hotel was just 10 mins walk to the park so we thought we will check it out. It's really a nice change after seeing too much of the city and buildings. A peaceful place with wonderful nature and art!

Yelp
Fantastic park with sculptures inside the park. Nice walk and very peaceful. Seldom crowded. Ideal to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the park. Enjoy a coffee and snack at the middelheim cafe. Parking inside and outside the park.

Yelp
Easily my favorite place in the city. Just a nice place to enjoy a packed lunch or a stroll. There's also a little self-service café, but in my opinion that area is a bit overcrowded and overpriced. In the park, there are a few staff members who will gladly engage you and talk about the art (be careful, at least one of them has a real sense of humor when it comes to accuracy in storytelling). A real gem.
