We had the opportunity to visit during their holiday open house, which was a very festive affair! The volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the pride in their restoration and construction work radiates everywhere and rightly so! The model train room was the highlight of the visit. I can't wait to go back and see the upcoming new additions. Well worth the visit!

We stopped in to donate some items belonging to my grandfather who worked for DAR. The volunteers were so appreciative of our donation. We were disappointed that we couldn’t see all the artifacts since they are in storage while they repair damage made by a fire but we will be back next summer to check them out. The model railway was fun to see, very detailed!

We are so glad the weather found this place and stopped by! The volunteers are very friendly and give you a tour of the model railway which was beautiful! The waiting room has been restored wonderfully and the artifacts are really nice - ticket storage cabinets and stamp storage that I'd never seen before. Do stop by and see what the amazing staff and volunteers are doing here.

Went there on a trip with my mom and I had a great day and I got Great pictures of the locomotives and I loved the model layout made my day I was down before I went here but I when I came I was having a blast

Fantastic museum. The model railway in the freight shed was fascinating and I could have spent hours looking at the details. The young man (from Aylesford) who worked there gave us a wonderful tour and lots of good information.

A work in progress but certainly worth checking out if you're a railway enthusiast of any sort. The staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
