Midnight Hotel, Autograph Collection

We recently stayed at a hotel that left a generally positive impression. The location was fantastic—just about an 800-meter walk to the city center, which made it super convenient for exploring. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, always ready with a smile and eager to explain anything we needed to know. One standout feature was the free mini-bar in the room. Everything in it—the drinks and snacks—was complimentary, which is a rarity in Australian hotels and a really pleasant surprise. It definitely added a nice touch to the stay. The room itself was spotless and well-kept. If I had to point out any downside, it would be the parking situation. The underground parking area had a notably steep slope—around a 30-degree angle or so—meaning you’d need to have some confident driving skills to navigate in and out comfortably. Overall, it was a positive stay with just that minor challenge, and the complimentary amenities definitely made it memorable.

I had a quick read of reviews and was tempted to reconsider my booking - so pleased I didn’t. The staff were v friendly and helpful with directions. The location is conveniently close to Lonsdale St Braddon and heaps of restaurants without the noise. The room was v comfortable and the free minibar was appreciated. We took advantage of the Mr Squiggle exhibition offer so it ended up being a very good value 2 night stay!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were warm and welcoming, the beds were unbelievably comfy, and the complimentary mini bar (restocked daily!) was such a treat. Breakfasts were a total highlight—so tasty! We loved unwinding at the bar with a nightcap, and the pool and sauna were the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The location is spot on—right in the heart of Braddon with heaps of restaurants and bars just a stroll away, and super easy to Uber or drive to all the main sights. Can’t fault a thing!

Amazing stay! Truly a hidden gem in the middle of Canberra. Room was clean and comfy; nice modern aesthetics. Only problem is the shower. Water drips out of the shower area into the main bathroom area due to a flaw in the design. Great location! Very near the city centre where you can find lots of food options and a huge shopping mall.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we had dinner at the restaurant. They had a specials menu with seasonal truffles. I had sardines, which were beautifully done. We shared a winter salad and green beans and finished with a lemon tart, everything was perfect. Lovely atmosphere, lovely service. I parked underneath the hotel @ $4 per hour.

The rooms look nice, and the mini bar is included which is great. However, if you want different teas or water you will never end up receiving it. Called housekeeping and after over an hour of waiting decided to call to cancel it as wanted to sleep and didnt want someone buzzing. Nobody answers phones after attempting to call numerous times on all the different lines. So couldn't even cancel it. Ate at the bar, and altho the food was decent, it also took ages to come. What i do like about the rooms tho, is the windows can actually open and get some fresh air.

I love this hotel!! The staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly! The complimentary mini bar in the room is a lovely addition. Not sure why so many reviewers posted negative reviews as our experience was quite the contrary! I definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again!

Visiting Australia on business and booked a room for a few weeks. Excellent amenities, comfortable room, and friendly staff. The rooms have mini refrigerators thats stocked daily or as needed, definitely a win. Their restaurant had amazing dishes well prepared to your liking and the location was perfectly located around a bunch of activities and restaurants. If I had to make one critique it would be the car garage. The ticket machine wasn’t always working and sometimes they had to have someone out there letting guests in. When you drive down into the garage it’s a bit tight and the same departing. Overall this hotel was amazing for my first trip to Australia and made it a memorable one. We will return. A+

We are really enjoying our time here. The midnight bar is a great spot to enjoy some bevies before hitting the town. Love the modern theme & layout.
