Four stars only because the meat doesn't have seasoning and im all about flavor. The sandwich is huge with a good amount of fries on the side. I had the sweet potato fries and rate them an 7 out of 10. I was helped immediately, there was someone helping me soon as i entered. This place has Fresh food, large serving, and have your food cooked in a timely manner. I will be back!

Diverse and creative menu—everything our family ordered was a banger. I enjoyed the Liberty Bell (burger meets Philly cheesesteak). The onions and peppers were sautéed with just the right amount of crunch still intact. The combination of meats was savory and delicious, though it could have used double the cheese. I got a side of maple walnut dressing for the sweet potatoes, and it was one of the best flavor combinations I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend it to elevate your meal. My wife started with the crab rangoon, which came out quickly as fried puffs of perfection. The accompanying jam had a little heat that perfectly complemented the sweetness. My wife raved about the monkey cristo - sweet, savory, and toasted to perfection. She had it with the strawberry jam but the blueberry is also an amazing choice. The kids devoured the caramelized apples and drank the sauce directly from the bowl. The grilled cheese was solid. The menu is filled with such a diverse lineup that if I were a local, I’d want to explore every item.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Midtown Caboose has a fun, creative, and delicious take on burgers! I ordered the Reagan and S'more than Words, and both were amazing. S'more than words was particularly notable, and the flavors mixed together so well! However, I ordered their hushpuppies to-go once, and they were pretty dry and hard, and smaller than expected. This was the only time I have been disappointed by their food. Every other time has been great! Definitely a Tallahassee staple, and I recommend everyone try Midtown Caboose at least once!

Tried this restaurant for lunch while in Tally and overall our group was pleased and I can definitely recommend stopping here for a meal. The train theme is fun and the quality of the good was fine but I can't say I was wowed by my turkey wrap or tater tots. It was fresh and tasty but I think the presentation and amount of food could be increased. The tots were a bit overcooked. Our server was friendly but not overly engaging, and the restaurant was clean. I think with a bit more oomph and polish, this place could really be something cool.

In town for business and decided to stop by. Ordered the PB&J burger with sweet potato fries and decided to try the pulled pork wontons. The PB&J burger is not something I would typically go for but read on the reviews it was the best selling burger so I gave it a try. You can choose the jam for your burger with choices of blueberry, strawberry, or grape. I ordered blueberry. First bite I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. Second bite it hooked me. You can taste the juicy burger with the sweetness of the peanut butter, then comes the crunch of the bacon, and lastly the sweetness from the blueberry jam. Wow! I'm impressed. This burger may not sound great but it truly is something special. Give this one a shot and you won't regret it. Now after giving the burger so much praise I'll share that the sweet potato fries are also very good. I could only eat a few due to the burger being so filling though. Lastly, I decided to try the pulled pork wontons as I hadn't eaten all day. Yep you know the feeling right? You're eyes are bigger than your stomach lol. I learned my lesson. Now these are basically pulled pork egg roles. They were very greasy so I could only eat one and they come with 5. I personally wouldn't order these again but that's just me. Overall the burger and fries are well worth the visit. Stop by this place on your next visit to Tally or if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

The food was delicious, the best coleslaw I’ve had in years. They have a large outside area that’s pet friendly. The problem I had was that the place was dirty. The bathroom is disgusting, the air conditioning returns air vent hasn’t been clean in a very long time as is apparent by the thick dust that has accumulated on it. The small area of the kitchen I was able to see didn’t look good. I provide pics so you can see what I saw. If this is what the areas we can see look like, what do the area we can’t see look like.

Sept. 30, 2025. Wells Brothers restaurant. I always enjoyed the one off Tharpe Street. This one is good, but 🤔. ¿¿ I enjoyed the Charter Boat, salmon, sprouts, l&m, avocado with melted cheese. I added blue cheese crumbles and their sauce was yummy. My side dish was green beans. Cooked just right and a perfect seasoning. I don't prefer a restaurant that is all black or dark because it hides dirt, bugs and food stains. Thank you Ken for good service.

The food is good, though a little expensive in my opinion. I really liked the atmosphere outside and want to try a burger so I will definitely be going back!

We stopped in with the family to get something to eat. The atmosphere was cozy. The staff was very attentive. I got a cheeseburger patty melt with chopped cheddar cheese and order of fries. The burger was good. I liked it on the sourdough bread. My wife got a salad with grilled chicken. She said the greens were very fresh and the chicken was cooked to perfection.

It's the concept and unique curb appeal that made me stop. It was in the mode to be wowed by a boutique eatery. Entering the restaurant the hostess was very nice and accommodating. The seating was tight. I could reach out and touch my neighbor. The chair seat was hard, like no cushion at all. I ordered the Georgia Peach Tea - it's priced above $10 but tasted like water; the Runaway Train with Turkey, I wasn't a fan; and sweet potato fries- mediocre It just wasn't what I was expecting.

The food wasn't bad. It's just a dirty kind of place. Doesn't look super organized or in any real order. The parking is horrific. The atmosphere is pretty bad. I'd personally rather eat at home. Won't be back.

My friend and I were visiting Tallahassee and found this restaurant on Yelp. We showed up about 45 minutes before closing but didn't feel rushed. There were so many burgers and items to choose from. My friend had a soup/salad combo and she loved the soup. The salad was huge (could only imagine what the regular size looks like). I had the gator hater burger. It was AMAZING! I had a side of Mac & cheese...also very good. Service was super friendly and nice. This place is on my list to go to next time I am up there!

I loved the rudy especially the pickle taste it had. The Mac Daddy was pretty good too I wish it had a little more bacon. The service was quick though, wide variety of sauces to choose from, but do cost extra, just under $1, but something to keep in mind.

I've been here several times throughout the last 10 years (as well as their previous location) and they've always been incredibly consistent. Our waitress, Kayla, was amazing. Super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable on all of the menu items. My greek squad wrap was flavor forward, which is always great to experience when eating a vegetarian meal! The hushpuppies were hot and the portions are generous. The table also ordered the triple play, gater hater, the oh canada burger, and meatball sub. Every item was well loved and there isn't much on the menu that I wouldn't try. Definitely a staple to Tallahassee culture!

This is our second time eating here. We love the food, service and atmosphere. My daughter is a freshman at FSU (Class of 2029), and we first came here after I read reviews of this place on X. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Except a wait on the weekends especially on game day. FSU football games.

This place got me super sick. It smells like a butt in there and the ac is blowing dust everywhere. The management was good though.

I think this was my first time trying this particular place. Pro tip there is parking in the back of the establishment that is much easier to access and maneuver in. They have indoor and outdoor seating that is pretty standard. Our waitress I believe was Liz and she was great. I should've tried a burger and I was pleased to find out that they are connected to the former Wells Burger joint that closed a few years back. But I opted for the quesadilla which was still pretty good, I just didn't love the salsa. I ordered the hush puppies for my side and they were just OK. They have a ton of burgers that are almost overwhelming to consider and you can also build your own. I'll definitely give this place another whirl.

Imagine you've only had a coffee for breakfast, you've finished walking around town for hours, and you need some good ole American food. This was us and this is the place you need to come to. The first bite of the Mac Daddy was like a cheesy wonderland that melted in your mouth. A great choice if you love Mac n cheese and burgers. The mother of dragons had a good kick to it, but not overpowering where you couldn't enjoy the bbq sauce and fried egg as well. I recommend either of these, which will leave you satisfied after. Service was quick and the restaurant was very spacious so we got seated right away. Would recommend!

So so burger ok good burger mostofthetime do you realize you're talking 16 and $18 for a hamburger come on they charge you the same thing for a veggie burger give me a break. It's not a burger in the world worth that kind of money. I don't give a shit how big it is and the place definitely needs to be cleaned up

This place is a solid choice- go early and when you have some time to consider what you want because their menus - stressing Menus cause they have a few will keep you on your toes there's quite a few options so if your indecisive or have anxiety definitely plan ahead or avoid this place-- This menu has a lot of atypical options and you're sure to find a few that you want to try - PRO TIP go with someone or a group so you can get a few options and share. Service was fine vibe is decent simple tables and booths, but they go above and beyond with the drinks and suave options. They have A LOOTTT OF SAUCES. So get some fries and try or thoughts and get to dippin! Overall give this place a 7.2 it's nice and you'll want to go a few times to try a couple options but the menus can be a bit much and I did find the flavor just a little lacking The waffle burger was good don't get me wrong but it don't hit like I had hoped. It doesn't seem like enough effort was out into the waffle or each ingredient. Still worth a try!

I love all the variation you can get at Midtown Caboose. 3/4 of us got the runaway train burger, one with burger meat, one fried chicken, and one grilled. It was like 3 different experiences, but all so delicious and not like something i had ever had before. There were many creative takes on burgers and sandwiches and I was pleased that our server did not mind getting us multiple sauces as they had a plethora of signature and housemade sauces. My favorite was the railroad sauce which was a little spicy and horseradishy but I also really enjoyed the maple mayo that came with the burger. The tater tots were crispy and the fries were also crispy but not as flavorful, however, great vehicles for sauce.

ambience was well and greatly appreciated. Each one of the staff members were wearing get this smiles on their shoulders. I had a really good time and I will spread the word so that all of my other friends will check them out as well. Sat on patio with my dog watching USF beat the gators on Saturday. Very good burger and beer. Nice martini. My family liked there food too. Good place for large parties. Service was good but waiter would not give me the kids menu but did give him a water bowl. Note that Last time I was there there was a dog menu, so something changed no doubt since this is Goverment town.

The Midtown Caboose is a long-standing and iconic restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. They have some fantastic hamburgers, as well as other great menu items. The parking lot is kind of tight, but I was able to find a spot. Walking in, it is a simple ambiance, but it definitely works. My server came over and since I am a huge fan of hot and spicy, I opted for their Mother of Dragon hamburger. For my side, I went with their French fries. Hey, why mess with an iconic duo, right? My burger and fries came out pretty quick and I have to say that it was truly a stellar burger. I had it cooked medium-rare and it was perfectly cooked. The Midtown Caboose is a great option for a hamburger in the Tallahassee, Florida area. Not only is the food great, but the staff is friendly and professional and the overall vibe fits perfectly with their simple burger driven menu. I will give it five stars and I would definitely recommend the Midtown Caboose.

Great atmosphere! Sit on the patio! There is a full bar. Large menu with tons of different sandwiches. Grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. Fries were good.

The food is really good. I had the Nore Cheese Please and my mom had the House version of a BLT. The tomatoes on hers were fried green. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely return!

The Midtown Caboose is an awesome restaurant. It is one of my favorites to go to in Tallahassee. The food is great. I loved the "Oh Canada" burger. There are a lot of different choices of burgers. The service is good. The ambiance is nice. It felt a little busy the one time I sat inside. I prefer the outdoor seating, although depending on the time of day it might be a bit sunny and warm but they do have fans to try to make it comfortable. Overall a great restaurant that I would recommend everyone trying at least once if they come to Tally.

What unique and yummy food!! I had the Magnum PI, which had such a mix of delicious flavors between the shrimp, cream cheese, onions and sweet heat sauce! It was melt in your mouth AMAZING!! Each bite was better and better! The tots were also perfectly crunchy! My daughter had the John Dillonger and she also said it was amazing! I had a bite and thought it was good, but preferred my wrap! My husband had the wings and he really enjoyed it! They have indoor and outdoor seating and lots of room! Food alone, this is a 5!!! Our waitress was really nice, but she was not very attentive. We heard the waiter next to us tell his customers the wait was backed up, and ours never told us that. In fact, she barely came back prior to the food coming to give us an update. Otherwise, this place is a must try, 5!!

My first impression; "Meh! Average." My feelings after taking advantage of a full dining experience... "You betcha!" The old cliche is that first impressions mean everything, and you'll never be able to get a second chance, but not in the case of Midtown Caboose. During a post graduation celebration, my son asked me to park in the muddy gully that lead to the establishment. So I did. He told me it was really good, but I had to wait 25 minutes for a table. To help ease the tension and pain, he offered a cocktail. Then after a few more minutes, we finally sat down. There, I saw a mid afternoon crowd larger than I expected. The food looked good and so did the menu. Service was prompt and friendly. The food tasted excellent and the eatery was clean and organized. Midtown Caboose gets two, "BFI Fist pumps" from me, but don't let this review, decide for you, stop by and decide for yourself. Be sure to check the service hours and menu before you go.

Holy crap... when I tell you this is the best meal we (family) have had in a very long time.... There is nothing that could have been prepared differently. There were a lot of mixed feelings about this restaurant. I would like to give the restaurant a solid 3.5. The service was really good. She was attentive, but not overbearing. The food had its ups and downs. The buffalo chicken dip was good. The pizza bites were tasty. The crab Rangoon was ok, but the sauce tasted too much like the strawberry jelly. The bread for all the sandwiches were toasted perfectly, but the BLT I had could've been much better. The bacon was thick and curled up on itself like a lump of bacon. The lettuce was the yellow green part. A lot the food was oily. The bathroom smelled like pee at 1 pm in the afternoon. It makes me wonder if it was cleaned overnight. I think with a little bit of attention to detail, it could get better.

Staff was great since the moment we walked in. The waitress had wonderful recommendations for us and everything we had was excellent. Thank you!

I went here twice. First time I had a decent experience. Food was alright. I went again and my experience was completely different. Ordered a sandwich and burger. Sandwich had no flavor. Burger was spongy. Tasted similar to frozen bubba burgers. Fries were good, so was the wonton appetizer. Service was good.

Had to come to Talley for the day and found this gem...the menu had so many items that I would like to try....so I will be back. But for now...the Pulled Pork Eggrolls were delish with the Mild bbq sauce. I had the Rudy...which is a play on a French Dip....Yummm....we also had the Spinach wrap fish sandwhich...also yummmm....and finally the Louisiana Purchase....kinda of a gumbo on a sandwhich......nice service....large patio.

Had a fantastic experience for lunch today. Even though they were busy we were taken care of with a smile and given prompt friendly service. Had their special drink - a key lime margarita which was fantastic. Ordered two burgers and a wrap and everything we got tasted amazing and was done perfectly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and parking is free. Great place if you want a good burger! Highly recommend

Local favorite! Great for taking out of town guests - menu is the perfect combination where even the pickiest eater can find something but also the thrill-seekers can try something new.

Everyone raves about this place. We've been twice and the service was great both times. There are a ton of menu options, almost more than I cared to look through. The food is decent. The Cuban was good, everyone else's food was alright.

Midtown Caboose is a great little place for a unique burger in a relaxed atmosphere. Midtown Caboose has to have one of the most interesting and eclectic menus I have ever seen. It is expansive, with tons of items that each have their own flavors and style. It makes it really hard to choose what to eat. They have burgers, sandwiches and wraps, soups and salads and a few appetizers. We stuck to the burgers and sandwiches this visit. I ordered The Mac Daddy. This burger was cooked medium-well. Topped with creamy mac and cheese and bacon. Under neat the meat patty, I found fried pickles. You get the choose the type of bbq sauce that goes on it. I chose mild but you can get hot or honey bbq. The toasted onion roll that it was on was fresh and tasty as well. What I really liked is that while this burger was hefty and over the top, it wasn't too much. It's a manageable meal that I was able to finish along with the tater-tots. Here are other items we ordered: The "John" "Dillon"-Ger, which is a spicy fried chicken sandwich which pepper-jack cheese and other toppings. My wife got this and she enjoyed it. The Betsy, which is a more traditional burger, is covered in green olives, mayo, and a thick-cut white onion. My dad got the Maui Wowie. This was a burger, topped with the usual veggies and bacon then had deep-fried coconut shrimp piled on top. Holding it all together was a strawberry-pineapple-jalapeno cream cheese sauce. It was labeled spicy but my dad didn't think it was too bad. Everything is fresh and cooked to order so expect a little wait for the food. It wasn't a long wait though. Our server was attentive and kind and was around to check on us every so often. If you're looking for a cool little place to get some tasty, unique food, check out Midtown Caboose.

Great burgers here, they serve absolute monsters, the you can barely even fit a whole bite in your mouth kind. I remember the burgers being a little pricey but well worth it for the taste.

Food: Delicious! I loved the hummus appetizer, the pita bread was too good. Service: The service was good! Our waitress was kind and helped my mom find a solution to a problem! Ambiance: This feels very casual and there is no need to dress up ( which is good) It feels diner-y if that makes sense! Overall, this is a family friendly, delicious, and cool restaurant!

The food was great, however it took an hour for us to get our order. They never gave us our appetizer, and milkshakes. They also never brought one of our meals. We ended up leaving the restaurant. The waiters were nice, but clearly they are under staffed. Not to mention the place was very cramped, and dirty, there were flies everywhere. And it was crowded. I definitely don't recommend on a Saturday afternoon during summer.

Dang good burgers! I tried one of the daily special burgers: the Porktastic. It paired well with one of the local brews (a mango wit). Other burgers on the menu also looked and sounded good; I will work up the courage to try one of the spicier creations next time.

The BLT with fried green tomatoes is a revelatory experience! Service was a bit slow but waitress was apologetic and attentive. Easy in and out parking in town. Cute atmosphere, clean and friendly.

When I first arrived, it was quite some time before anyone recognized I was there and seated me. The chair I sat in nearly fell apart due to it missing nuts and bolts. The men's restroom did not have any soap. There were quite a few tables that had yet to be cleared from the previous patrons. The restaurant did not seem that busy. The goat cheese appetizer tasted quite nice although I was unable to finish it due to a large piece of plastic being in the food. I found myself chewing on about a 3 inch strip of plastic. I had a great server and she took the item off of my bill. The Italian stallion Burger was okay but underwhelming. The entire time I was there, there was another server walking around the entire restaurant yelling "order, order, order" over and over again. It was quite weird. It's rare for me to say this but I would not return to this restaurant.

Great place. So many great menu choices hard to pick just one. Our server was excellent and has an awesome laid back atmosphere. I will definitely suggest this place to friends and family.

Waitress Kat was awesome. Ask for her. I got the Maui Howie burger with the jalapeño coleslaw. Burger was good. The coconut shrimp were great on the burger. We also got mimosas (with pulp). Would do again.

Probably one of the coolest places I've ever eaten. They allow you to split wing flavors on an order of 10, you can get extra sauce on the side (for like $0.75) and the burgers and sandwiches are wild. I got the Maui wowie. I'm not sure the coconut shrimp did that much for the burger. My only other complaint was that the wings were kind of soggy, like maybe a few more minutes in the fryer so the sauce didn't make them kind of mushy.
