Google
A really good place for Korean food. Good service and a nice atmosphere. Just a heads up, your clothes will smell after leaving. They do not have vents to remove the smoke from the grills.

Google
I always love coming here. It's cozy and the servers are all super friendly, which makes it less intimidating when you're new to Korean BBQ and Korean food in general. The food is delicious!

Google
Best authentic Korean cuisine in a lovely setting with excellent service. My Dolsot Bi Bim Bap, vegan style with tofu, was hot and tasty with delicious ban chan and a perfect light soup. I surprised myself and finished everything. My favorite part is the crisp light golden rice touching the sizzling stone bowl. It is well frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. It's upstairs in the Asian mall. Easy parking. Nice to wander around a little afterward. The silk paintings and jade sculptures are delightful, and the grocery store offers tropical fruit among other unique items. If I lived here I would eat here all the time.

What a wonderful experience at Miega Korean barbecue. Everything we had had some much flavor and delicious. Highly recommend experience this restaurant and the staff is wonderful!

Google
This is a great place for Korean BBQ. The food was excellent. We had bulgogi, kalbi and another meat and there was plenty of meat for 5 people. Plus kimbap and tteokbeoki. Both were delicious. For dessert we also had the Miega and Mango bingsus which were such a wonderful treat at the end. The service was also fantastic. They were constantly checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed (enough water, sides, lettuce) and asked if we had any questions. Also our grill wasn't heating up all the way so they brought out another one. They were wondeful. Highly recommend!

I don’t leave reviews often but I had to for Miega! We’ve been to multiple Korean BBQ in the area and this has been our FAVORITE! Amazing service, family owned and most importantly AMAZING FOOD!!!!

Google
Shrimps tempura were pretty standard. I did not care for their banchan selection. The galbi tang was very salty. It was difficult to enjoy to broth. There were barely any noodles and 4 thin slices of radish. I will say that there were an adequate amount of short ribs…but they were a little tough. Service was nice though.

Google
I am reluctantly rating this place as it is my favorite restaurant. And I don't want it to grow so much in popularity that I can't get in without being on some kind of celebrity VIP list. The food here is amazing. Anything I've tried has been outstanding. I highly recommend the beef BBQ, japchae, and fried chicken wings.

Yelp
I visited for the first time in April 2023 with a friend who had previously visited. We came for dinner and I remember that I was so hungry before arriving. FOOD -- In April 2023, I ordered the S9 on the menu which is the Bulgogi Dol Sot Bi Bim Bob. This is a Rice and Beef dish with Vegetables ($14.95). It had lots of good flavour because of the mixture of seasoned meat and vegetables. My friend and I shared the A1 on the menu which is the Gun Man Du (deep fried pork dumplings) -- $8.95 for 6 pieces. I don't eat pork often yet I enjoyed the dumplings because it was crispy and tasty. We dipped it into soy sauce. Our main course meal came with a bunch of side dishes (called banchan) that are meant to be shared. This is typical in Korean restaurants. All the 6 side dishes were served cold as they often are but this wasn't a problem because I ate them with my warm rice bowl. I enjoyed the side dishes. My favourites were the little potatoes and kimchi. I can definitely see myself returning back to try other food options on the menu. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 29/365 total reviews in 2025 - 810 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 16 January 2025

Yelp
It's upstairs at the Asia market. The Asia market has a food market on the lower floor and furniture strewn on the main floor as well. Doesn't open until after 12:30PM today. Will try back later. Some kimbap sounds good this morning.

Yelp
One of the best places to get Korean food in Cleveland! For our meal, we ordered seafood pancakes ($15.95), soondubu with beef ($13.95), and 2 plates of soy garlic chicken wings (each order of wings was $14.95). The seafood pancakes arrived first, and as usual, they were delicious. The pancakes possessed a crisp exterior while being soft on the inside. They were filled with veggies and plenty of seafood. I saw pieces of squid, white fish, and imitation crab meat. Then came the soondubu, which was also fantastic. The stew was spicy. My sinuses were clear by the time we reached the bottom of the bowl. It was full of flavor as well as chunks of soft tofu that melted in my mouth. There was also a full egg that was cooked in the hot soup and a good amount of beef. But my friends and I agreed that the chicken wings were the star of the show. Though they were drenched in soy garlic sauce, the fried wings still retained their crispiness. The savory sauce was delicious and had a slight sweetness, and the wings were cooked perfectly. Despite being crispy on the outside, the meat inside was tender and moist, and practically fell off the bone. We picked those bones clean; we wanted to get every bit of tasty meat and crunchy breading. Along with the pancakes, stew, and wings, we got a variety of banchan: eggplant, seaweed salad, tofu skins, broccoli, and kimchi. Like always, the banchan was fresh. It was a nice, light, and bright reprieve from the heavier parts of our meal, and we got complimentary refills of the eggplant and tofu skins.

Yelp
Great ginger tea drinki Also had the chicken very good too. Glad they took credit cards.

Yelp
The ladies cooking are from Korea and the young man who served us could not have been more patient or wonderful. Difficult place to find .. second floor in what looks almost like a warehouse. Off 38th Street inside a fenced area and above a Korean market. Worth the search!!!

Chad L.

Yelp
Korean BBQ first-time experience did not disappoint! Helpful, friendly servers and a lot of menu options. We tried a variety of meats and sides- all very good.

Yelp
The food was really great and the service at the restaurant was amazing. They have a wonderful environment plus great music. The grilled mackerel and the stir fried squid was really good! Also the lunch boxes was also really amazing and delicious.

Yelp
So I just went with my family to this restaurant this past weekend. I had to post a review because the service was HORRIBLE. The food was delicious however our waitress Christie was not attentive, professional or kind. We had to constantly ask for napkins and refill of the water jars. At one point, all of our meals came out except one person's food. He waited for nearly 30 minutes for his food and he was still eating when we were finished. We asked for the owner but was told that she's 70 years old and doesn't speak English. No one ever apologized for the food coming out late or even gave a reason why until asked. The reason given was that the "old woman" is slow and she cooked the food. This was so disturbing. So with that being said, we will not return again. Two stars given for the good only which was delicious.

Yelp
Love this place. A true Korean restaurant. Service was awesome. Food phenomenal. BYOB for alcohol.

Yelp
Wow! I've been missing out. Have know about Miega for years but never tried because I'm so loyal to Korea House. Well, sadly for Korea House, I tried Miega today. So. Freaking. Good!!! I have zero complaints. Great service, quality food, generous banchan and they aid you in grilling so everyone in your party can enjoy the food while it's hot. I'm typically the griller so by the time I get to eat, everyone else is full and ready to go. Not today; we all enjoyed lunch together and it could not have been more delightful! No liquor or wine but it's BYOB and they will serve it for you. Will definitely be back soon and often.

Yelp
Amazing food!!!! The server guy was amazing too, he cooked our food so fast and cut everything so efficiently. I was going to tell him we could do it but realized this guy KNOWS what hes doing and does it well and fast. Got distracted watching him tbh. Very polite!! The waitress was also very nice and happy. Gave them a good tip! Food is a bit pricey but definitely very good and filling. The place has good vibes and a welcoming atmosphere even if all the shops around it are pretty dead.

Kaukab K.

Yelp
Another delicious meal at Miega. This is our 3rd time here, the food has been amazing each time. All of the staff were friendly, service was quick and very attentive to anything we needed. Definitely recommend and will return again.

Marissa K.

Yelp
We drive an hr for the food here - We're new to the area and don't know of many Korean spots. Hoping to try their other dishes soon, but the kbbq has not let us down. We had one experience where we "cooked" on the grill ourselves and another where the servers stopped by to place meat on the grill for us, both experiences were great. Hoping to go return soon!

Eunice D.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk into the complex where the restaurant is on the second floor. But don't let it fool you. This place makes delicious foods and the flavors pack a punch! We tried the korean bbq with trio of meats, banchan, and kimchi pancake. We were very happy with the food and our experience. The menu has a lot more to offer and can't wait to try more. Telling all my friends to come!

Ruth W.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Lots of different banchan brought out with entrees. Pretty large menu. Upstairs in Asian Center, a little hard to locate.

Amber N.

Yelp
I found this place via Instagram and it was a touch of home for me since I moved from the west coast. Finding a good quality Korean BBQ place was challenging and I was completely satisfied. We even had our friend's birthday dinner here which they accommodated 8 people.

Samir H.

Yelp
I think the food is great and delicious! The service also deserves 5 stars! However, the environment was extremely Smokey for Korean BBQ typically the smoke is maintained by having vents or fans above the grilling stations. The air felt very heavy with smoke I hope the workers are alright working in that environment long term. Otherwise the utensils were all metal and the barbecue had the bon chon! Also, my server put the meat on the grill for us with our first dish which was helpful. The grill also took its time to cook and was confusing to operate. We did not figure out how to increase the heat but it worked out for us while we ate our other appetizers and our meat cooked.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant with authentic Korean food and BBQ. Best Korean restaurant in Cleveland in my opinion. Conveniently located above Asian Town Center grocery store. We've been frequent, loyal customers for the past 3-4 yrs and would highly recommend if you're craving Korean food. A good selection of traditional banchan. Fav dishes include galbitang, soondubu, honey garlic & snow chicken. Try the shaved ice for a sweet dessert. Friendly and hardworking staff who provide great service. Vibrant and clean atmosphere, good for family meals or just a hangout spot with friends or co-workers. Finally, very reasonably priced with large portion sizes.

Yelp
We got the KBBQ experience here, ordering the LA Galbi (my favorite) and the brisket/Chadol (my sister's favorite). My sister doesn't even typically like Galbi but she was saying how juicy and delicious it was here. The service was lovely! This was my 3rd or 4th time here and the servers are always so friendly. We order the soybean stew and steamed egg as well. We got all the amazing korean side dishes. They had this braised potato and an acorn jelly type dish that really brought me to my childhood, very nostalgic. The grills work well and the staff are always happy to change your grill if you desire a clean one between cooking different meats. The price is reasonable and the location is nice, as you can always stroll the small asian grocery store downstairs. As a Korean always missing korean food in cleveland, I'm sure I'll be here at least every few weeks!! My go-to Korean spot.

Lisa L.

Yelp
As a Korean, this place was so disappointing on so many levels. My friends and I used to come here infrequently due to the lack of Korean options nearby, but one particular experience changed our minds (now we only go to korea house down the street). First, the stone pot bibimbap had too much rice vs. sauce and veggies. This made the dish overall taste bland. In addition, the rice was soggy, which was very unusual for a Korean restaurant. In addition, their galbi kbbq just tasted very disappointing. Bland, but also cut in a way that's very hard to cook. We could also tell when the meat came out that it was not fresh, but old and frozen. The cherry on top was they were shockingly stingy with the side dishes. For example, we had 3 people, but they gave us exactly 3 small pieces of fish cake?? The bowl was hilariously empty. When we asked for more, the waiter disappeared only to never appear until our meal was over. There were other examples where we were dissatisfied with the service, so we tipped less than we normally do. As we walked out, the lady at the front stopped us and reprimanded us for being so stingy and demanded more tip? And she wasn't even the waiter, but the owner lady. After that experience, we have never returned, and have never missed this place.

Yelp
What a fun and delicious experience, had the number 3 platter which easily fed 4 big eaters. They helped us at first since we were new then they let us take over.

Jan W.

Yelp
Good bulgogi soup and galbi. It's a little thicker but still marinated well. Typical service but call button can be useful

Emilie W.

Yelp
Delicious bulgogi and friendly customer service! The building that the restaurant is inside is a little eerie but don't let that deter you from visiting and eating yummy food!

Moe H.

Yelp
Hidden Jem in the area. Cool atmosphere, really good food, and a friendly helpful staff. I'll definitely be coming back here!!!

Linda S.

Yelp
Great food..very large portions. This is difficult to find unless you know location. We waited for cook the BBQ well worth the wait. We had pork belly, marinated pork and beef. Chefs special number 2.

Adrianna U.

Yelp
This has become my new go-to place for Korean food in Cleveland. My order: tofu soup, bulgogi, japchae, and of course kimbap ("korean sushi"- I think this is the only place in Cleveland that serves it!). I never tried the tabletop kbbq here, but there is that option if you are interested. The servers here are also always super nice and helpful.

Cin P.

Yelp
Food quality has gone way downhill. There is absolutely no depth of flavor in dishes. They clearly take short cuts now and no longer offer my go to lunch special of jiam bong. It was not busy and yet service took forever and had to be chased down. I will not be returning anytime soon.

Sharon K.

Yelp
Service was wonderful ! Food was delicious - staff was attentive ! Was really packed and busy this visit so it was a bit noisy.

April K.

Yelp
New drink / snow ice menu additions! Bingsu, boba, smoothies, and sparkling drinks. Sucha cute new booth area.

Theerawat K.

Yelp
Bulgogi is very delicious and not expensive. The service is good, but the building is a bit creepy.

Amelie D.

Yelp
Enjoyed a really good meal at this Korean restaurant. A nice staff team that is greeting you perfectly! The food was amazing, and I would personally recommend the octopus. If you want to experience an authentic korean bbq experience, this is the place to go! Enjoy!!!

Erin B.

Yelp
My family loves Miega for Korean BBQ. Delicious food and sushi options. Great service. The restaurant is beautiful inside but hidden on the second floor of an older plaza.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I'm hesitant to say "bad service" since it was more like "no service". This is about the 3rd or 4th time we've been here and I don't recall our dining experience being this bad. Let's start with staff. There was a young Asian girl that seated us and gave us menus and 4 waters. She gave us about 3 minutes to look over the menu before asking if we were ready. Which we weren't, and ask for more time. But then It took 20 mins before I could get her to come back and take our order. Once we got our order in, I thought everything would be fine.... but no... Our food comes our fairly quickly. We ordered two meats for bbq, a soup to share, and teriyaki chicken for my son. They brought the food out, but we received no utensils (except the chopsticks that were already piled at the end of the table). The staff seemed to disappear in the kitchen area and it took about 5 minutes for me to flag down the bus boy to get utensils (spoon/fork). You would think they would automatically provide it for kids. But no. It must be requested. Anywho, he only gave us 1, So I had to wait for the waitress to come back and ask for 3 more spoons so us adults could eat our soup. We had 3 adults and 1 kid, but they also only gave us 2 sauce trays and 3 napkins. Like, are we expected to share? She did bring out another sauce tray, but no extra napkins even tho we asked. She must have forgot. Our water was never refilled, and we didn't even want to wait to track her down at this point. The restaurant wasn't very busy, maybe 3-4 other tables but the staff just sat around chatting instead of checking on the tables. I did see an older Asian lady in a clear apron that came out to service one table, but looked like they must have known each other. Food Quality: I was happy with the pork belly we ordered. The color looked off, like not fresh, but it smelled and tasted fine. The beef brisket was too lean and dry. Typically this meat is more fatty so when you cook it, it's still juicy. I don't recommend it. The soon-do-bu soup was ok. Although I thought the tofu was a little firm. Typically it's more of a soft silken tofu, but ours was more hard. Not a fan, but my friends enjoyed it. The teriyaki chicken was good. The meat was tender and juicy. It looked like white meat chick but must have been chicken thigh, not breast. My son enjoyed it. I was disappointed she tried to charge me $3 for extra lettuce to eat with our bbq. Apparently you only get 4 pieces of lettuce. Any refill is extra. First time I've ever heard that in any Korean restaurant. I don't remember that being an issue before. Another thing I did not like was the way the girl kind of tossed all the dishes on the table. I realize there is big bbq grill in the middle and it might be difficult to lean over, however, doesn't mean you can just throw things on the table. You place plates down nicely and slide them over. Ambiance: this was also the first time I realized the smoke from bbq was bothersome. My son wasn't happy and wanted to leave. Especially towards the end of our meal, they don't change the grill so that burnt smell and smoke was very strong. I don't think they have a hood system, if they did, it definitely wasn't on. Only thing on the ceiling we're fans blowing the smoke around. There is no bathroom in the restaurant. Only one outside in the plaza and beware, it's not maintained. Pretty dirty and one stall has no toilet paper.

David R.

Yelp
Best Korean in Ohio!!! my kids always order the barbecue, I always order the squid. The Kim chi is great

Jaimee B.

Yelp
does not honor the 15% discount from this app!!! they do not take the yelp offer!!!!!!!!

Amy J.

Yelp
Chicken teriyaki was plentiful and flavorful but wow the chicken was so overcooked. Even though it had surrounding juice, the chicken was very hard and dry and clearly overdone. The to-go bibimbap was delicious.

Blanche K.

Yelp
Miega used to be my go to spot for korean food, with its extensive menu options ranging from kbbq to traditional comfort food like jjangmyeon and soondubu, but recently, the flavors have been losing their quality! The broths seem diluted and I even got served COLD mandu. Additionally, some of their more authentic dishes have also been unavailable.

Jackie B.

Yelp
We decided to come here before the theater. What an amazingly delicious experience. Had the spicy pork as well as the beef table grill barbecue. So flavorful and tender. All the sides were outstanding...especially the kimchi. Our waiter went above and beyond in service. Food was plentiful!

Cymone M.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday dinner here and was not pleased with the customer service. I selected this restaurant based on the reviews which were excellent but I'm not sure why. Customer service was trash, our waiter was very rude, rolled her eyes several times, forgot to place my father's food order but played it off like it needed a while to cook. It was BULGOGI for Christ sake! Overall the experience did not match the reviews. I will not be returning. Oh and the food taste, just subpar. AGAIN, the reviews do not match the service nor food taste.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Nothing but delicious you won't be disappointed. And we got jajangmyun, pancake, Kim bop, and tteokboki to go.

Ray F.

Yelp
When I first heard that Miega could give Ha Ahn a run for its money, I was skeptical. Fortunately, I was able to go with a large group of people to get a representative sample of its food offerings, and I was not at all disappointed. Its appetizer options are decent, but leave something to be desired. The pajun is flavorful, but lacks finesse (especially when it comes to texture--I wanted crispy, I got flimsy). The tteobokki has the opposite issue: the texture is there, but the flavor is off. I suspect that the ratio of ketchup to gochujang is not balanced properly. These both had me waxing nostalgic for Ha Ahn, but as soon as the entrees arrived, I forgot all of my gripes. The hangover soup is a divine gift, with a depth of flavor that makes Anton Ego's childhood flashback in Ratatouille seem trivial. The bibimbap is also expertly prepared. The entrees get a 5, the apps get a 3, and you're going to get stuffed. And you won't regret it. (Just skip the apps, they have plenty of mains to fill you up.) Service was on the upper end of average, and the water served in plastic bottles gives you the full Korean resto fantasy. If you've got time and a few friends, give this place a chance. (Even if you have neither time nor friends, I'd wager that this place is still a good bet.)

Jessica K.

Yelp
Came here during weekday lunch times and there was not wait both times we came. They have gop chang bokkeum which is stir fried and marinated intestines. I know that sounds pretty awful but it's a very popular dish in Korea and my friends and I were craving it so badly! The bokkeum was definitely a hit amongst me and my friends. They give out good portions of the intestines and not just fill it veggies. Also considering this is not in a major city or in Korea, the quality was pretty good. We ordered galbi tang as well and the meats were not super tough and broth had good flavors. It was so good that in fact, we came back the day after to try their other gop chang menu item, which is gop chang jun gop, which is a large hot pot you can share that comes out on a gas burner. My friend thought this one was bland but I enjoyed it and I'm pretty sure if we left it on heat longer, the broth would've had even more flavor. The side dishes tasted great but they did not have varieties compared to other korean restaurants I have been to in Cleveland. The 15% discount worked for me when I was there in early July so make sure you check in. I have yet to try more items on their menu but overall, it was a good experience eating gop Chang here!

Ella E.

Yelp
The service in this restaurant is really terrible. The barbecue plate burned and we asked her to replace it with a new one, which made her impatient. What's more, we found a hair in the meat and will never come back again

Anna M.

Yelp
DELSIH and super kind staff! My first K BBQ experience and I absolutely adored it. Well priced for what you get and good vibes!

Sarah K.

Yelp
The staff was SO nice and attentive and the food was amazing! The tenderest chicken I think I have ever had. I have done Korean BBQ before but most of my party had not, and the staff answered all of their questions and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
I've been coming to Miega for years and finally decided to write a review because this place is great! I've come here with friends in groups and by myself for lunch, no problems whatsoever. The Food I've tried multiple things off of the menu. I love the barbeque, it's a great way to eat with friends as you can cook it at your table. The menu in that area is pretty extensive and well-priced. Their kimbap and dokkbokki are also pretty good. If I don't come here for the barbeque I come here for the sundubu jigae with seafood. It's a lovely stew that screams comfort food. Miega, out of all of the Korean restaurants in the area, does it best. They don't skimp out on the veggies (onions and zucchini), the tofu, or the seafood. There's always a lot of seafood and the dish looks like a stew as a opposed to a soup, as it should. Plus there's a raw egg thrown in that cooks along with the stew as you eat it (it's in a hot stone pot). As to the spice level, I wouldn't say this is spicy but it's definitely not mild. It's hard to give a good gauge as well...I'm white and hardly ate spicy food before spending several months in Korea - the taste buds adapted. I would highly recommend it, if you come for lunch it's a bit cheaper! My total was $11 for lunch - not bad considering the amount of food you get! Miega also does great banchan (side dishes). You normally get the staple, kimchi (two types: radish and cabbage), and the rest is often a guess but it's always good. This time around I got dried squid in a sauce, never had it before but it was beyond good. What's more, if you run out of a side dish, you can ask for more - same goes for rice and it's at no extra charge. VEGEGTARIANS - note that while there may be veggie options, if you aren't pescatarian I'd double check if they use things like anchovies, fish sauce, etc. Anchovies can often be found in the making of the broth itself for some of the dishes. The Price I'd say the price is spot on for the food. In comparison to other Korean restaurants in the area, I would argue it's cheaper for some dishes than other places. Even though that's the case, the menu is extensive, decently priced, and everything's delicious. The Atmosphere The place is well decorated and doesn't feel confined. There's plenty of tables, both booths with the grill installed and normal tables. If you come at a busy time wanting barbeque and there's no booths, not too worry, Miega can set you up with a portable grill at a table (similar to how Seoul Garden does). It's clean and there's normally a tv playing that's visible to the patrons, always fun if there's a music program going on. The Service I've always had great service here. The servers are very open to answering your questions and giving you recommendations, great for those who don't know too much about Korean food. A lot, if not most, of the tables are equipped with a button that rings to get the servers attention. I love the type of service, you are left alone to enjoy your food unless you need help and then you ring the bell.

Anna W.

Yelp
Miega is a great place to fulfill your cravings for Korean food! Located on the second floor of the Asia Town Center, it has plentiful seats inside with options to order traditional entrees, korean bbq, or both. I recently went and got the sundubu jjigae, kimbap, and galbi bibimbap. They were all DELICIOUS and hit the spot! My favorite by far was the sundubu jigae (with seafood), since it warmed up my soul with each bite mixed with rice. The kimbap and bibimbap were pretty on par with other restaurant kinds I've tried. My only caveats with the entrees was that I wish there were more shrimpy bois in the sundubu jigae (only got one boi) and more galbi pieces in the bibimbap (came with three slices). Overall, the sides were pretty bomb as well -- they had kimchi, potato salad (so yum!!), bean sprouts, and more. They also had plain broccoli which I hadn't seen before as a side, but it was a nice way to clean our palate during the meal. The four star rating is more-so for the korean bbq since in the past, I felt that it was pretty pricey for the amount of food we got. In addition, I thought the flavors of the KBBQ meat were only "ok" -- I much rather prefer the other entrees since you get more bang for your buck (in regards to cost and the taste!).

Yelp
A hidden treasure in China Town. Customer service was great and the food was good. My party ordered fried dumplings and the combo 2 (pork belly, beef brisket, pork bulgogi). Make sure you ask for their sauces for dipping the pork belly and beef brisket. The bulgogi was amazing-no sauce needed! The combos are enough for 4 people and bring sides (white rice, kimchi, fish cakes and more). Will visit again.
