A stunning drive to the hot springs! We visited on a Sunday and it was moderately busy but nowhere near full capacity. The facility is clean and well kept. I loved the multiple pool temperatures which allowed us to do a cold plunge a few times before enjoying the hot water. It was a foggy day but the views were equally breathtaking! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back in the future.

The hot springs are pretty cool but they can get very crowded. I honestly enjoyed exploring the old abandoned place that's further down the road even more.

Google
Absolutely worth the trip, arrived Monday around noon time with only few people in the pool. There are 2 big ones ( 35 C and 40 C) and 2 small ones ( around 10 C ). Cost 22 Canadian dollars ( including lending bathing suit and towel ) , you may stay there for as long as you want!

Google
Reasonably priced albeit no seniors rate. They have a family rate but two of the four must be youth. They give you a towel and a token for the locker. They have changing rooms with benches, showers, toilets and a swimsuit spinner. Shoes must be off right by the ticket counter and before you enter the locker room. Bring a flip flop if you don’t want to walk with your socks or barefoot. There are different temperatures in the pools. What enhances relaxation is the mountain view. We understand that pools are emptied and walls are scrubbed every night. Pools are filled with fresh hit spring water daily. Emptied water is dechlorinated.

Amazing hotspring in between mountains with amazing views. Ample parking on site. We went forat thing in the morning on a weekend and had about 5 min of wait to get in so I can see this place getting busy. Waiting area was a bit on the smaller end. When I visited online ticket was not an option it was first come first serve basis. Price can change I have attached a picture and check their website but price was not too expensive for single entry pass. There were enough picnic area/tables unshaded outside near the parking lot. There was a drop off loop all the way to the door. The water was well maintained. Pools were clean staff was nice. Two pools one for kids which was shallow and water less hot and other big one near the restaurant was deep and warmer. Two cold water pool for who want to try contrast immersion. Pools are monitored by staff. There was a restaurant which was closed when we were there. Site provides waterproof diapers, clothes, towels etc for a nominal charge. Site is accessible. Washroom are spacious and well kempt, locker coins were provided at no charge. Shower room was a bit small and had a cloth dryer but only one. Overall kids had fun and we had a good relaxing time. Check out videos and images amd follow for more detailed reviews. There is a bike near by which we didnt do but stay tuned the review will come up soon.

Google
We did the walking trails which are really nice, especially the trail to the natural springs and original bath house. Was quite busy. There is a picnic area and the trails are dog-friendly. The pool didn’t open until 2:00 pm and people were lined up to get in. Beautiful spot.

Google
Staff is friendly, pools and change rooms are clean. There are two hot pools (set at 40 C when I visited) and two cold pools. I was here to specifically visit the hot springs so not much to complain about here. Enjoyed my visit and would recommend for anyone travelling on the Yellowhead to Jasper.

Don't miss it if you've never been. A great therapeutic location in a very beautiful natural locale. Great cold plunge pools and the hot springs are sooooo nice. Scenic and simple hikes are nearby. Affordable as well.

Yelp
This is my happy place! There is no way I go to Jasper and I don't go there unless it's closed! Unfortunately the road had some damages and needs a little love from Parks Canada but I still love that beautiful road! I hope they repair it soon! It's a great tourist attraction and also affects the local businesses! The capacity was lowered (not sure why!) The operation hours were changed to: 2 PM to 8 PM (again not sure why) Overall with the changes that I noticed since my last visit, I still love it and I highly recommend visiting the place! :)

Yelp
I'm not usually a fan of hot springs pool, but I'm happy I decided to come here and visit these Miette Hot Springs. It actually fit in well with my departure from Jasper, AB while getting ready to start my long journey driving the ALCAN (Alaska/Canada) Highway. That was sort of the main motivation for coming here...it meshed in with my itinerary. Otherwise, I'd never go out of my way to check out hot springs pools. What also was so absolutely worthwhile about being at Miette Hot Springs was the price. For myself to hop into the pools for as long as I wanted, it cost $7.50 Canadian!!! Yes I'll repeat that...$7.50 - Canadian! Lol, for us USA tourists, that's practically free...about $5.75 - US. In all, for the location and the price...I said to myself..."why not"? I know, I know...hot springs pools these days are basically swimming pools with a heater built inside them. But, I was willing to look past all that. I mean, for me, here I was...road-tripping around the United States and now in remote Canada... and during this summer of 2022, I've mostly camped out and stayed in some pretty off the beaten path locations, so...why not just relax and hang out in the pools for a little bit?! And yeah...upon arriving here and hopping in the pools for an early Friday evening in the middle of June, it was quite crowded with visitors. Pretty much, you're within a few feet of each other. I didn't mind it. I was basically here on a "freeroll" considering the barely existent price of admission. Let me just give a few other about these Miette Hot Springs... - It's located 61 kilometers or 38 miles northeast of Jasper. - There's no cell reception here, at least for me there wasn't and I have AT&T. - On the drive up to the pools, I spotted a bear along the side of the road but by the time I got my camera out and started picture taking, the bear got startled and ran back into the woods. - I liked the entrance sign which I happily took a photo of. - I had a towel, bathing suit and flipflops with me so I didn't have to pay for any extras. - Here's another crazy good aspect...they hand you a free key to a locker to store your belongings!!! I had never heard of this? Not like I've visited many hot springs in my life...but I thought they usually charge to use a locker. Not here, it's included in your entrance price. The only caveat with having a locker is you can only store your items for 1 time. If you plan on opening and closing it multiple times...then I believe you have to pay for that. - They have free showers if interested, though it's communal, and other dudes were showering nude, which for me...I'd rather stay dirty and un-showered, lol. - They do have changing rooms with a curtain so you can get your bathing suit on without being looked at by strangers. - There's a machine to dry your bathing suit off when you're finished. Just put the suit in the machine, close the top handle down and it'll spin your suit around getting rid of extra water. - They do require that once you enter the pool area, you must be barefoot. I wanted to have my flipflops with me but I was forced to take them off. - They do have a few lifeguards hanging around and watching everyone. The pools were a few feet deep though, nothing to where drowning could seem like a real possibility, but for kids...good to have lifeguards. - From my memory...they have 2 large pools for everyone to enjoy and they are heated. Then they do also feature 2 smaller pools that aren't temperature regulated. I actually put my foot in one of them and it was too cold, lol. - I found my own little space in one of the pools. I pretty much just lounged around and relaxed for 1 - 1.5 hours. Then my skin started to prune so I decided I had experienced enough. - They're open till 8pm, even though it doesn't get dark there in June till 10pm or so. - There's a small souvenir/gift shop just off to the side of the pools. I never entered it though. - Lastly, the ambiance and setting. Miette Hot Springs is situated around mountains and trees, so while hanging out among the pools you feel like you have great scenery to appreciate. For my visit, it was very overcast and cloudy for the day and nothing but fog. What I still liked was the steam coming off and hovering over the pools, especially since it was 50 degrees outside. Overall, the springs exuded a real mountain lodge type essence as if I was swimming among very secluded surroundings in the middle of nowhere. A lot of people would call Miette Hot Springs just your average, "run of the mill" heated pools with no redeemable qualities. But if you're going to charge very little prices ($7.50 - Canadian - especially in this ridiculous inflationary period where the cost of everything is out of control)...it'll certainly attract a lot of tourists. I was happy and satisfied with making a little side trek to come and sit around for a little. It worked for me in just the right moment and I'm glad I visited.

Yelp
It was a great experience. We saw bears while we were on the way and coming back from the hot spring in this June. The price was reasonable and they also provide swimming suit rental for $2. I liked the hotel pool. We soaked for 2-3 hours and enjoyed view so much!

Raj P.

Yelp
Awesome place. Just don't know if it is really heated naturally or it was heated pool. Strange that they had two pools with different temperatures and if it is natural hot steam - how were they able to maintain two temperature levels.

Yelp
This hot springs is in the Jasper area and quite some kilometres inside from the main highway. The twist and turns to this hot springs is fun to drive if you like this kind of a drive. The hot springs has two pools and two small pools. The views are amass you can see mountains in the back. The pools are clean and change room and shower facilities are clean. The staff are amazing and made all the difference. Lots of things to do around - trails ( tough land long) and source of hot springs nearby (was not open the day we visited).

Yelp
$6.00 admission. It's great in any weather, but if it is sunny, wear lots of sunscreen. There is little shade. The facility is clean. Snack bar next door. It has home made food which is fresh and delicious. I had a ginormous Chef's salad. You can rent bathing suits and towels. Coin lockers. The view is glorious.

Yelp
Great place to come and relax after a long day of hiking. Ice baths to soothe those aching muscles and hot hot mineral pools to continue relaxing. Staff were extremely friendly, facilities were maintained and very clean. Hot food is served and the maple walnut ice cream is a must have as you cool off or grab a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
very much the thing to do after a long day of site seeing. we arrived at 2 and it wasn't very busy. when we walked out at 5 it was very busy. i would recommend this place to anyone

Yelp
Cheap and good. Clean. Water Temp is Not Too Hot. Small kids can also enjoy. I would say, no more than 2 hours of stay is enough to enjoy.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great place to take a load off after hiking nearby. Since the hot springs within Canada's national parks are park-owned, they are a great deal, less than $10 for adult admission. This particular facility offered a day pass, which is even better--for a few dollars more you get a wristband that lets you come and go all day. You also get to bypass the line if you have a wrist band, which came in really handy later on in the afternoon. We decided to take advantage of this by going for a soak earlier in the day (around 9ish), leaving to go on a hike nearby, and then coming back for a much-needed post-hike dip. Things like lockers and towels are extra (but also very reasonable). The locker room facilities are quite old and could use an update, but I thought it was fine for the price. They have four different pools here, all at different temperatures, which was fun. When you start getting to hot, you can cool off in one of the smaller cooler pools, once of which was actually very quite cold and made you all tingly when you got back into the hotter one! It did get pretty crowded later on in the day, so be sure to get there earlier or later (open til 11pm!) than the most popular times. I thought it was a worthwhile place to visit and a good value.

Yelp
Miette Hot Springs is definitely a place to visit on your next trip to Jasper. Either if you are coming from the Sulphur Skyline mountain and needs to relax or you are coming just to visit the place, your experience will be great. They have a big parking lot, where you can find toilets, garbage bins & signposting. Hours of operation: *May 6 to June 16, 2016 daily 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. *June 17, 2016 to September 5, 2016 daily 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. *September 6, 2016 to October 10, 2016 daily 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. *October 11, 2016 - May 5, 2017 Closed If you are going on a big group 10+ it is cheaper if you guys pay all together. Rentals: Swimsuit $1.9, Towel $1.9 & Lockers $1 Also they have the option to rent the Hot Pool for your party so this is an original way to celebrate your birthday, engagement or any other special occasion. Bathrooms are essentially the same as any other public pool, clean, but also can be little bit messy depending the number of people that is in there. The good thing I found is a hair dryer, it is on the south left corner of the change room, it is kind of hidden so no that many people know the existence of this item, but I found it! :) There are 4 pools, two hot, two cold. Also you can find a coffee shop / snack bar in case you are thinking to stay here for a while. My visit here was after a long hike to the summit of the Sulphur Mountain and I have to say it was a great prize and if you're as lucky as me you may see a beautiful black bear at the top of a tree in the parking lot ^_^

Yelp
Cheap and worth it! $6.05 for two people, plus change for lockers. The views around are wonderful, they have cold pools, which my partner used to jump start his metabolism, and then the hot springs. You can stay in as long as you'd like. It was wonderful to jump in right after our Sulphur Skyline Hike in the beginning of October.

Yelp
Solid hot springs experience. The entire place is smaller than I expected, and the max capacity in the pools is 250. When I visited yesterday (a Sunday at 4pm), I heard the lifeguard say there were 206 people. It felt cramped and crowded. I didn't stay long. The weather was 50 degrees and windy, so it was cold when I got out of the 106-degree pool. There are two hot pools, and two cold pools. I probably should have visited this place on a weekday, early in the day. Overall, it's a nice activity and beautiful drive to the hot springs. I wouldn't recommend driving to the hot springs at night in case of wildlife crossing.

Yelp
I ordered a Philly Cheese Panini ($8) which was pretty good. Fresh ingredients and prepared then and there. Also got the Cappuccino ($4) which was sorely lacking: the drink was cold, the beans were flavourless, and the milk was poorly frothed. Overall, the cafe offers good value considering it's slightly out of the way and prices are comparable to what you'd get in a populous area like nearby Hinton/Jasper.
google avatar

Eddy K.

Yelp
It's basically a small swimming pool that's heated. If you're looking for a nice relaxing environment, this isn't the place. Expect the pool to be filled with 100 other people (at least in the summer season) - you will be surrounded on all sides by people that are inches away from you.

Yelp
Went to these hot springs 3 days in a row. The pricing was fair and you could get a full day pass for just a bit more. I liked the deeper pool (adult pool) and I found the cold pools essential after being in the (very) hot pool. I could not really smell the sulphur or natural minerals that would naturally come with the hot spring water. Was also disappointed they had to add chlorine: my hair and skin came away dry. Natural hot springs should be great on the hair and skin because of the minerals but the chlorine kills any natural benefit. I've been to other hot springs in New Zealand and Iceland that were far, far superior. I am actually being generous with 3 stars. I had heard legends about the old pool facility and have to say they really did a sad job of remaking it higher up. I understand why the old facility was closed many years ago but this newer facility looks like a hole in the ground compared to the regal 'riviera' style pool house of old. Just check out the pictures on the wall and you will see what I mean. Still, nice place to come on a cloudy day with a sprinkling if cool rain on your head while your body basks in the warmth.

Yelp
There are so many things to like about hot springs. They are supposed to be therapeutic, relaxing, great for the skin etc. etc. The hot pool of water is good and well maintained and the services provided are nice. For me though, Miette was an ordinary experience because I found it a little too commercialized. They have ice creams, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches etc. available right at the pool side. While it sounds like an awesome idea, I just find it too hypocritical. When I went there, the parking lot was filled with big horn sheep eating shrubs from the earth. Inside, we have us humans with our kids and our dogs; eating fried food, ice cream and drinking pop, while relaxing. I find this a tad annoying. Also, it's not like the outside world is far from us, at Miette. It's a small glass wall that separates us from the wildlife, the natural beauty etc. of this wonderful park. I hadn't been to a hot spring before. I wanted to experience it once and I did. That's it for me. Never coming here again. The only plus point I see is that the springs are pretty cheap to enjoy. At $6 per person, it's a steal. It is a bit of a drive from Jasper town, but that's fine.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
The Miette Hot Springs are nice. I'd go back. It's very inexpensive (comparing price of admission to Banffs hot springs), has a nice view, and overall is a positive experience. But I feel like there are some things it could do much better. First off was the drive there. Along the main road, Miette Hot Springs is well posted. However, once you turn by "Pocahontas" hotel / cabins, sign quality drops to confusing levels. I found the (now paved) road to Miette quite fun to drive (I don't expect others to share these sentiments), but once on that road, don't expect to see confirmation until you arrive some 20/30 minutes later. The site itself has a great view, and it's nicely setup along with picnic areas and bathrooms. Staff was friendly and reminded us about change for lockers. The springs themselves were well staffed with three lifeguards on active duty. I was confused as to why the different temperature pools weren't labelled (perhaps a psychological method to improve the number of people moving between pools?). It also seemed odd that debris and dead bugs weren't removed from the pools more often, with so many lifeguards, surely they could afford a maintenance spot check every 15 minutes? Regardless, this was a nice experience. I'll be back next time I'm in Jasper. And though it maybe commercialized, I like the option of a cold drink after a soak in the springs!

Yelp
Gets crowded. Makes you takes you're sandals off. It's pretty gross walking around the changing too barefoot.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
My family and I usually love coming to these hot springs. Not this year! the pool was filthy with hair, bugs, bandaids, skin. I'm not even mentioning the change rooms . I could keep going. It's affordable ($40 for 3 adults 3 youths and a towel rental for each of us) but was way too dirty to go back again. On a good note the front desk worker seemed very friendly.

Yelp
10/02/15: Beautiful scenic drive to the Hot springs Beautiful views. Four Pools with different temperatures: hot, warm, and (2) cold pools. Be on the lookout for bighorn sheep on the way down the mountain
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
I was there yesterday. Since there was lighting watch the hot springs closed from 5 to 5:30. I had a panini sandwich with soup of the day. I really love that there is a 2 hot tubs and 2 cold tubs.

Yelp
Inexpensive. Warm although not as hot as I remember as a kid. I had fun in the cold pools trying to freeze myself and then warm myself in the hot pools. A fantastic end to an excellent weekend.

Greg G.

Yelp
Fun, hot springs in an awesome setting with mountains all around. Food, drinks, and nice facility.

Yelp
I like this place! It's in the wilderness of Jasper National Park. 45 kms east of Jasper hang a right, then drive 17 kms up the road. There is a viewpoint worth stopping at 8.5 kms up. The pool itself is the hottest in the Rockies. There is a deeper pool and a shallower one for the kids! There is also 2 small cold pools. The cafe there is ok if you want a coffee and a bag of chips, but if it's a tasty homemade burger or a great steak head down the road 500 meters to the motel. They have a cozy resaurant there. Exellent food. You can also try the frozen youghart with real fruit! If you head up this way be sure to come enjoy the pools and food in this spectacular little mountain valley!!

Stephen W.

Yelp
This pool is the reason I go to Jasper when I can. The water still comes from an underground source in the mountain; 54 degree mineral water pours out of the rock face at 11 to 14 litres per minute. Before or after your swim you can walk up the trail and see the water for yourself. There two hot pools on site. One for people with children and a deeper, hotter pool for adults. There are also two small cold water pools if you want to cool off. I highly recommend a soak! I go every day when I visit. I love it.

Yelp
The last long weekend of the year deserves some pampering! We headed to the Mirtte Hot Springs for some relaxation after a hike in the many extensive trails in the area. The pool is clean and has options for rented bathing suits and towels if you neglected to pack any - the hot springs are for everyone! Inside there is a hot pool, great for families, kids and seniors. Shallow with ledges all around for lounging. There's an even hotter pool, which is deeper and fewer places to sit and two small cold pools full of spring water right off the mountain. I honestly didn't spend much time in the cold pool! I was there for the healing mineral hot springs! They have a concession to help you stay hydrated and feed you if you're hungry. We wanted to stay as long as we could do frequent hydration breaks were called for! Though it gets dark in the mountains quite early, they have yard lights that illuminate the springs nicely. Soaking in the water and the beautiful surroundings was definitely soul food. Looking forward to my next adventure in Miette.

Yelp
You have to pick the right time to go to the hot springs, a cool rainy day is the best, the only thing cool is the mist on your face as the remaining body is drenched in the heat of the springs! If you want to be a little adventurous take a dip in either of the cold pools, the one on the right is 5 degrees cooler than the one on the left - either way, the both are friggen cold! Too cold for this lady! Alberta has some amazing places to visit, Miette should be on everyone's list!

Randy B.

Yelp
The staff was friendly, the pools were clean. Overall it was the same as going to a commercial outdoor pool but with hot water. Price was reasonable and change rooms were standard to good. A relaxing experience. I think it could get a little crowded possibly in the busy season. Needs a family change room to handle the young ones. Could use a more natural decor that suits the feeling of the Rockies and give the look of it being fed from a natural hot spring. Nice to see they offer rentals on towels, suits, slippers etc.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
I liked this place! We had a drippy day of weather so why not just go get wet! It's off the beaten path but worth it. There are two hot pools and two smaller pools (40 and 45 degrees respectively). I like these pools better than Banff Springs. Not as many people and quieter. More locals enjoying the springs. I highly recommend mustering up the courage and dipping in the cold pools as well. It took four dips but I tolerated much better by the fourth time. Reasonably priced too! Well maintained. Can rent towels for $1. Fabulous!

Yelp
Visited this hot springs after hiking the nearby Sulphur Skyline trail. I first went to the cafe for a little bite and coffee after my hike. A selection of sweets and it looks like they make some nice sandwiches and soups, but I just had a date bar and coffee (free refills). A little patio outside with umbrellas and seating inside. As I was having these, a downpour ensued. During a lull in the rain, I headed to the car to get my swim trunks etc. and get out of my hiking stuff. My car and the 4x4 beside it were surrounded by big horn sheep (scruffy from loosing their winter coat). The 4x4 had high clearance and there were about five sheep on their knees underneath the vehicle licking the minerals off the bottom of the 4x4. Quite the site. The hard rain returned so I decided to wait it out in my car, and promptly took a nap, occasionally being awoken by a sheep bumping into my car, or the clap of thunder. Once the rain subsided I went to enter the pool. By that time, there was a line up to enter the pool (they had stopped entry during the storm), where there was none before. The price to enter is quite reasonable, about $6 for adults. You can rent towels and swimsuit if needed. Change rooms were clean (you must take off footwear before entering to reduce mud getting into the change rooms. There are four pools: hot, hotter, cold, and very cold (12°C). A nice view of the mountains surround you. The hot springs didn't have any foul odour like some hot springs do. An awesome way to finish a hike in the Rockies.
