"You can step away from it all at this retreat on Sebago Lake in southern Maine. The inclusive Full American Plan covers all meals and activities — except motorboats. This family-oriented retreat has its own private island, tennis courts, kayaks, sailboats, and an on-site outdoor fitness center. Family time is encouraged, but parents looking to get away for an afternoon can send their kids to the supervised programs for children." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We were back for our third time and as wonderful as ever; this time without kids and grands and we had a ball! Love coffee by the lake, cookouts for lunch, lovely guests who all talk with one another--or most do, cocktails on the lawn, tennis, ping pong, swimming, boating, pickellball, painting, reading. What's not to love? And wonderful staff and comfy rooms. We feel so blessed to keep coming back, as does family. This is a treasure, especially for those of us who LOVE camp, adult or child. And there's too much food; is it a five star restaurant? No, but it's wonderful and lots of choices.

A lovely high-end resort tucked away in Maine, about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive from Boston. We went there for a friend's son's wedding and wished we could have stayed there longer. There are several differently sized cottages spread across the property and my husband and I occupied a well-appointed, one bedroom one. The meals were well curated and really good. The facility offers several activities for residents ranging from pickle ball to tennis, from swimming to kayaking, from hiking to getting a massage to many more. The pre-wedding ceremony as also the wedding were held outdoors in 2 different locations, while the wedding dinner was indoors.

A GEM of a place in Southern Casco , Maine. Very Friendly staff. Gorgeous landscaping . Fabulous Lake side dining . Many activities or you can just simple relax and take it all in. Even on a rainy day it was very relaxing sitting in a very comfortable cabin by the fire looking out at the lake and reading.

Amazing. I would definitely recommend, 10/10. We went for a wedding and felt like we were in a fancy adult version of the parent trap. If we didn’t live across the country, I’d try to go yearly. The cabins were so cute, cozy, and well decorated. Food was delicious. They had a great space for kids.

Went to cook out lunch. Friendly staff. A nice selection of lunch items, including GF offerings. Old time camp feel. Enjoyed the lunch and the views.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. There are great hiking trails along with a nice pickleball/basketball court along with a frisbee golf course. And don't even get me started on the food. It's a little pricey, but well worth every dollar.

Went there for a wedding. Beautiful scenery right on the lake. The grounds were well kept and lit at night. The staff very polite and attentive. Cabins rustic and quaint. Food was delicious. Was there less than 24 hours. Would love to go back for a longer stay.

We did not stay at the lodge but went for the buffet dinner. This was $100 per person, plus drinks and 20% gratuity so a pricey night out. The food was good, but was essentially a cold buffet because even the food that would be served hot, such as the roast beef, chicken Marsala, raviolis, seared scallops were barely even lukewarm. There is something for everyone though. Service was awful. No one came for beverage/bar service - we had to flag someone down. We were asked if we were ready for our check and had not been offered coffee or tea - so we felt rushed even though there was no later seating. Apparently it’s just 6:30 which was our reservation. Service gets 1 star (barely). Food gets two star (generous for quality vs. cost). Location is fantastic-gorgeous setting on beautiful Sebago Lake so 5 stars to the lake. Overall a 2 but a disappointment after all the hype.
