We had a fabulous stay at Mihir Garh, a purpose-built retreat with 8 suites and 2 rooms. We stayed in a suite, which felt more like a private home than a hotel, complete with a sitting room and fireplace for cooler days, a patio, plunge pool, large bathroom, and a private courtyard with a fountain, niche, and double mattress for lounging.||The communal areas are equally well considered: a peaceful garden, a beautiful infinity pool, a library, a rooftop lounge, and indoor dining for when the weather turns. Every space feels calm, comfortable, and meticulously cared for.||Food and service were exemplary throughout our stay. There are plenty of activities should you wish to explore or keep busy, and I enjoyed a massage so much that I booked a second one. There’s also a lovely on-site shop with clothes and local crafts, perfect for gifts, and ideal for picking up a new dress or two (as I did), plus a shirt for my husband.||The owners, who live nearby at House of Rohet, made a point of meeting guests personally, which added such warmth. One evening we happened to be the only guests in residence, yet absolutely no effort was spared, every candle lit, the team fully present, and the same exceptional level of care given.
