Mikaku Udon Bar

Went for the viral chicken curry Udon, and it did not disappoint. The combination of western creamy sauces with chewy Udon is genius. I fully expect this concept to appear at more noodles places across the GTA in the coming year. I’ve seen some reviews on here complaining about the portion sizes. I would tend to disagree. I can usually eat a lot, 2 foot longs at subway type. The sauce is so creamy and rich that a single portion was perfect to leave me stuffed but not heavy. I personally preferred the spicy seafood cream udon. More complex flavors and a good amount of seafood for a dollar more than the chicken curry. Both were really good though, and we will definitely be back. We also ordered a seared Buta as a side dish which was delicious; sweet and tangy with a beautiful charred flavor. Do be aware there’s a 20-40 min line during peak hours! I wouldn’t wait again, but I’m happy I waited this time.

Me and my friends just came here for the first time. We’re from Mississauga and my other friend came from Hamilton, it was so worth it. The food was amazinggg, we ordered much more than we could eat. The prices are really affordable for the portion sizes. Everything was amazing, fast clean service, the Manager Miyoung was absolutely amazing, welcoming, attentive, and so sweet. We are definitely coming back here!

A charming udon bar with lovely service and very friendly, attentive staff who offer suggestions if you’re unsure what to order. Food: - Chicken Curry Udon: Highly recommended in many reviews and it did not disappoint. It’s a little heavy, so if you’re looking for a light meal, consider something else. - Buta Udon: Delicious, fragrant broth with light and tender pork belly. The noodles were nice and chewy.

If you’re craving comforting Japanese food done right, Mikaku Udon Bar absolutely delivers. The udon was so good perfectly chewy noodles, rich flavorful broth, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes were generous too, which made it feel like great value for the quality you’re getting. You leave feeling full and satisfied, not like you need to grab something else after. What really stood out was the service. It was incredibly fast and genuinely sweet and attentive without being overbearing. The whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. Definitely a spot I’d go back to again without hesitation.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing decor. Yes, they offer alcohol but their chicken are halal. It's always a treat to find Halal Japanese food. Service was very nice and friendly. Of course most importantly, the food is amazing and reasonably priced. Pictured is the fried shrimp gyoza(totally recommended menu item) and vegetable soup udon.

First day in Toronto and Mikaku welcomed us with great food, great vibe and the best service. It was our first time trying so many new dishes. The Takowasabi had the perfect kick as the appetizer. I have always been afraid to try a curry dish but the Chicken curry udon changed my mind. We did not have time for a dessert; this gave us the reason to come back some days.

Lovely service and food. We had the chicken curry udon and chicken karaage with rice, the texture and flavour combinations were absolutely delicious! Our server was incredibly kind and accommodating, will for sure return for more! (if they had more halal options, would have definitely had other dishes)

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the host, Miyong, who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, setting the perfect tone for a delightful meal. Now, let's talk about the food! The cheesecake was absolutely divine—rich, creamy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s definitely one of the best I've ever had! I also tried the boneless fried chicken, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It's a must-try for anyone who loves comfort food. A special shoutout to our server, Remi, who provided outstanding service throughout our visit. Remi was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Overall, Mikaku udon exceeded my expectations with delicious food and exceptional service. I can’t wait to return and try more items from their menu! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere!
