I recently had the pleasure of trying the Shrimp Po' Boy at Mike Serio’s Po' Boys in New Orleans, and I must say it was absolutely delicious! The sandwich was packed with perfectly cooked shrimp that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The bread was fresh and had a nice crunch to it, complementing the shrimp perfectly. The sandwich was generously filled with shrimp and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, which added a refreshing and tangy flavor to each bite. The remoulade sauce that was spread on the bread was the perfect accompaniment, adding a creamy and slightly spicy element to the overall taste. The portion size of the Shrimp Po' Boy was also very satisfying. It was big enough to fill me up, but not overwhelming. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the flavors were well-balanced. The service at Mike Serious Po' Boys was friendly and efficient. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. The restaurant had a casual and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a classic New Orleans po' boy. Overall, I highly recommend trying the Shrimp Po' Boy at Mike Serious Po' Boys. It's a true taste of New Orleans and will leave you craving for more. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is a must-try sandwich that won't disappoint.

Google
The place was cool but the food could have been better, the chicken was bland and somewhat rubbery. I feel like I still don't know what a true po' boy tastes like

Google
Recommended by a 30 years of living here local..get the Muffaletta!! I hadn’t ever had one, let alone heard of one. Thinly sliced meat, melted cheese and the most wonderful olive spread on smokin’ hot Italian bread. If I had more room in me, I’d have had two. Absolutely fantastic sandwich. I’ll be back again for lunch!

Google
Without a doubt the B E S T muffulleta in New Orleans! The po-boys are equally as amazing! Don't skip this place next time you're in the French Quarter!

Angie Flores B.

Google
This place looked very authentic from the outside, like a fun old-school looking place to get a Po-boy. Very different on the inside, big-time LSU fans enjoyed the Po-boy!

Google
I MISS THIS PLACE SO MUCH! This was my favorite place we ate at while on vacation. Everyone working there was so friendly and the food was delicious!! Get the oyster poboy with all the fixins! I’ve talked to so many people about this restaurant and wish I could just run there during my lunch break every day! If you skip eating here, you’re missing out!

Google
Mike's Po-Boys is part of the classic New Orleans experience -- good food with an even better experience. The made-to-order sandwiches and hand battered onion rings pair perfectly to make an excellent lunch, all for less than $20. If you're ever near the French Quarter, head on over to Mike Serio's!

I come here every time I’m in Nola and have for years the food and his team put a smile on my face every damn time!!

Yelp
Friendly greeting by the fry cook. We stopped in to try a Po-boy and a Muffaletta (sp?). My partner said her muffaletta was perfect. My fried catfish po-boy was okay. Razor thin tomato slice and small ribbons of greens did not match the mental picture I had from the menu description of "Dressed Lettuce Tomato Mayo". Itʻs a third generation family business which has been hit hard by Katrina and the Covid shutdown. Their history of these negative impacts could be the reason for the ungenerous vegetables. Bathrooms are a sad state. Do not use. If I lived here, Iʻd likely choose a different restaurant for my po-boy sandwich. I wish them the best of luck as they rebuild their business.

Yelp
Close to hotels so an appealing stop for lunch. It's a LSU shrine so great if you're a fan. Sandwich was a disappointment. Hot roast beef was more than 50% gravy, little meat, very soggy. Chips were out of stock ("I forgot to order them this week"). The soda I bought out of the cooler was 5 months expired.... Look for another po boy place.

Yelp
Love the shrimp poor boys and a cold beer. Great location right next to Canal street.

Yelp
Service was good, food was absolutely disappointing and a complete rip off. Do yourself a favor don't go spend your time and money elsewhere.

Yelp
TLDR: Definitely get the roast beef & check in on yelp for a free drink! Roast beef: I was expecting roast beef slices but it was like a stewed beef in shreds with lots of juice (like au jus). The bread must have been lined with mayo or something because the sandwich was juicy without it disintegrating at your touch. The sandwich could have used more veggies (just somethibg to add more freshness/texture) but can't complain. It was delicious and by far my favoritest one. Muffaletta: Solid cold cut sandwich! On french bread & pressed like a panini. They no longer do them on the round loaves & sell as halves/quarters. Overall a good cold cut sandwich but as someone who doesnt love olives, it wasnt my fave but was my cousin's! Fried shrimp: The shrimp was well cooked & pretty plentiful but the ratio of the sandwich seemed bread heavy. Like the roast beef, I found myself wanting more veggies for the crunch/freshness but honestly not bad! THINGS TO KNOW: They are only open for a few hours each day! I think it was 11-2pm (maybe 3pm).

Yelp
Great place for Po-Boys and the see some LSU sports memorabilia. Little small on the portion vs other po-boys

Yelp
This rating is ENTIRELY on the Bloody Mary. Owner made it for me - to go, of course - and lunch was basically served on the skewer or in the glass, and I'm quite sure he took me seriously when I said 2 shots. Very cool atmosphere, personable staff (everyone talked to us) and great location. It wasn't a cheap Bloody Mary, but it was a memorable one. :)
google avatar

Yelp
We relied on this place quite a bit during Mardi Gras because of its great location off the parade route. I did grab a Mufulatta sandwich for dinner one evening and it was ok - more of a panini actually. It was good size and fed two of us. I feel it could have been better with different bread. The service itself was quick and friendly, the restaurant is clean. Here is where things get a little dicey - it was the $2 per use restrooms. Yes I paid and used them a few times but man they were super sketchy and not so clean. My remedy was to make sure and bring a lot of sanitizer and wipes with me. I did appreciate them being there and allowing the use but for $2 I would expect a bit more upkeep.

Yelp
Great food. Great folks. Great Place. We had a great lunch at Mike's. The crew were super friendly to us. And we had a great time talking with Mike. If you're an LSU fan or Alum, or even if you aren't, you will be if Mike has any say. Don't skip the muffaletta either! Be warned, however, Mike hasn't updated the business hours, LOL! They close a bit earlier than advertised.

Yelp
Serio's is simple with no frills but it's absolutely superior taste and quality. I've sampled their entire Po Boy menu and my favorite is the fried shrimp fully dressed and the Muffuletta (it's panini style which we prefer to the traditional big bread muffuletta). My husband prefers the hot sausage but their all delicious. Mike is a genuine soul and LSU fan to the max, another reason I love the place. We come to NOLA about every 3 months and always find time for a Serio's. Yes there are many other great places for Po Boys but with it's easy location on St Charles, we end up there at least once during our visits.

Yelp
Service and food was Horrible I wouldn't Recommend this place to my worst enemy. Place was dirty and it had a bad smell, the bathrooms put me in mind of a horror movie. I rate this Place a negative-10. The health department is probably getting paid off the allow this Place to open.

Yelp
I discovered this place by accident in New Orleans! I went in for a Bloody Mary and was shocked at how good it was. I'm picky about mine and he made it just right - spicy and the perfect amount of Worcestershire. I got hungry after a few hours of Mardi Gras parades so I ordered a shrimp po-boy and it was AMAZING! The shrimp was so flavorful and the bread was perfect.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Almost 4 stars - the fried shrimp po boy was hot and delish. But for $16 and the not-so-huge portion size, you can do better for po boys in NOLA!

Yelp
My husband and I walked to Serio Mike's on Wednesday afternoon, and we were sad that they were closed but saw that they will reopen on Friday. So, we decided to come here for a muffuletta sandwich today. This sandwich is one of the best I've ever had, the bread is so crispy, and the filling was perfectly garnished. The only thing I'd change about the sandwich is the olives -- not a big fan of them, but the sandwich is still heavenly regardless. My husband was there around 1, and he said that they were almost out of muffulettas. It's not a surprise because they have such good quality food that they're almost sold out before closing time. This place is open from 11-2 today and tomorrow. I'd recommend Serio Mike to anyone in the area looking for some delicious sandwiches in the French Quarter area, whether it be a muffuletta or a poboy. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by the locals. We went a 1:57 thinking it closed at 3PM as advertised online. Walked a few blocks in the rain, got there and was greeted by a printed door sign stating they now close 2PM.
google avatar

Katey M.

Yelp
Waited for over an hour and a half for our food. Ordered two bloodies but they forgot so I had to go remind them after 30 mins of waiting. Fries were terrible. Shrimp po boy was mid. Guy at the register was nice but the overall experience was terrible given the wait and lack of quality.
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
SOLID New Orleans po boys offered here. We were there for work and 2 of our local guys led the way when it came to local eateries. We walked from our hotel on St. Charles to this location. We were not disappointed. Order at the counter and take a seat. They will bring you your food. We had a large group and the employees were very hospitable by allowing us to move the tables to have us all at one table. If you're hungry, order normally. If you're just kinda hungry, split the sandwich! Me and another girl split the shrimp po boy and cheese fries and it was PLENTY! Don't forget to grab the Crystal hot sauce at the front to load onto everything! Oh ya, obviously a HUGE LSU crowd here as you can see when you walk in....

Yelp
Wonderful roast beef poboy at a reasonable price. Beef was oven roasted perfect not lunch meat. Excellent service.
google avatar

Darren K.

Yelp
Friendly staff. I got there right before closing and ordered a roast beef po boy. I wasn't rushed to leave after they closed and locked the door. Since I ordered my po boy "to go" it looked a little bit rough when I opened it up. It tasted decent and light on the roast beef. I wouldn't make a trip across town for it, but if you are in the area, it is a good place to eat.

Daniel M.

Yelp
Mike needs to stop licking his hand before tearing off an order sheet from his order pad. Yes, Mike got his saliva on my credit card, I came to eat Serio's food, not Mike's saliva. Hygiene needs to improve at this restaurant before I will ever return.
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Went in on Mardi Gras day before the Rex parade but around 11/11:30. The line didn't look too bad, but you know people are ordering more than 1 thing per person. Mike (actually I'm not sure, but he seemed to be the man in charge) was nice to everyone. He was getting slammed, but handled everyone like they were the only person in the place. Everyone working there seemed to be focused, but not stressed. They were super nice when we finally got our food (slight delay to get some more cheese) and thanked us for waiting. I had the shrimp po-boy and it was on point & satisfying. I obviously got it dressed, because who wants a naked po-boy. So, if you're in the CBD or French Quarter & need a solid place to grab a quick bit, I recommend Serio's!
google avatar

Pipoca C.

Yelp
Flying out of town after a conference and wanted one last authentic N'awlins meal before heading to the airport. Settled on Serio's which was a few blocks from where I was staying. I saw so many things on the menu that I wanted to try. The owner was very accommodating and allowed me to patch together almost a sampler plate of a little bit of what I wanted instead of buying three or four full plates. What a nice gesture that he didn't have to do. Would recommend for both food and servi

Yelp
Couldn't ask for nicer people and better service. Instantly felt welcome coming from Indiana and seeing the Manning jersey on the wall. They were very friendly and explained the menu and favorites. Next I was that person being difficult and wanting hand sanitizer, which they didn't have. So they went out to their car just to get me some, talk about awesome service!! Next the food is amazing!! Try to roast beef or the saints special you will not be disappointed! This is an absolute must try, thank you for the Amazing hospitality.
google avatar

Nektaria R.

Yelp
Great little spot if you want a po-boy or burgers ( or if you need to go potty during Mardi Gras) We were having a great time watching floats and drunks falling over. Hungry and needing to use the facilities, this place was in the perfect location to satisfy both needs. The price was reasonable and they have great deals especially if you check in with yelp. I had a po-boy and he had a burger. We were both satisfied with the service and food. Rest Rooms I will not comment other than to say they're on the second floor and if you think you can take their elevator, no sorry, it doesn't run during high seasons.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
These are my first po boy sandwiches so I have nothing to compare it to. The sandwiches were simple and yummy. We enjoyed a fried shrimp and grilled shrimp po boy.
google avatar

Philip G.

Yelp
Decent little sandwich stop with a range of sandwiches and cold beer. My sandwich tasted good but it's the overall weakest muffaletta I've had in NOLA.
google avatar

CeCee S.

Yelp
I love good customer service. We walked in and everyone talked to us as if they knew us already. Friendly....helpful....cheery. I really had a good feeling from the jump. We ordered the famous muffuletta that beat Bobby flay. I ordered a whole one for 3 people. Each of us ate 1/4 and had 1/4 left. We were so full but managed to get down that last piece. The bread was a bit too thick and heavy for me but the meats and olive spread were awesome. I wasn't disappointed at all.
google avatar

Samara B.

Yelp
I ordered the hot Sicilian sandwhich and the husband ordered the muffuletta. Since we checked in on yelp, we got free drinks (woo hoo). My sandwhich was delicious. The olive salad was so good. I wanted to eat that just by the spoonful. (You can buy it in a quart jar). The 1/2 muffuletta was more than the husband could eat. The guys at the counter were super nice. They told me about the 8 foot french bread the order for their catering and special orders. Today they were gonna make an 8 foot po' boy. This was quick, cheap and easy. It's a mom and pop style place that LOVES LSU. It's sparse on the decorations, but I didn't come here for the decor.
google avatar

Alice Y.

Yelp
Was my first week in town and figured I had to have me a Po Boy so I checked out Sergio's. Ordered a shrimp Po Boy and I wanted to like it more than I did. Just didn't have that much flavor. Also checked out the Muffalata (olive) sandwich and also was just meh. Won't be going back any time soon, but the staff were really nice
google avatar

Yelp
We came here just to try another muffuletta after having the hyped one at Central Grocery (deservedly so). Also, I heard this place was on that Bobby Flay Throwdown show, so I figured it should be worth checking out. The place itself is probably fun and lively and a cool place to hang out later on in the day, or when there is an LSU game on. I say this mostly because there were about 4 or 5 TVs throughout the pretty big place, and there was LSU memorabilia covering absolutely everything. We were here on a random day at around noon though, so it was pretty dead and the cashier looked like she wanted to end her life. On to the food - the muffuletta was definitely delicious, but wasn't quite as good as the one at Central Grocery. Unlike Central Grocery though, they also have a ton of other options to order (such as several special Po Boys and other fried stuff). If you are in the mood to get sloppy drunk and watch a football game while eating some very tasty sandwiches, then this is probably a great option for you.

Magella G.

Yelp
Love this place - super nice owner, friendly staff, and amazing poboys - I had the shrimp, husband had the roast beef. Both were DELISH! Mike came over and chatted with us as he did with other customers. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Right across from the Courtyard Marriott, this place was our last stop for lunch before heading back home to California. Atmosphere: Very casual. Large open space, order/pay at the front and they deliver the food to you. Food: I shared the large Roast Beef Po-Boy with my mom, and boy was that a lot of sandwich. The meat was surprisingly better than I expected it to be - moist, plentiful, and flavored with natural juices. Since I cannot stand olives, my dad volunteered to order the quarter muffaletta that beat Bobby Flay (serves him right, he sucks!). I actually got the nerves up to try it, and it wasn't that bad! I still prefer the roast beef though. The fries were freshly cooked so they were enjoyable as well. Service: Staff is friendly.
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
Couldn't even try the place. Went there during hours they were supposed to be open and they were closed. New Orleans as a whole was extremely disappointing.
google avatar

E A.

Yelp
Underrated! We gave it a try and were not disappointed!! Muffuletta, hamburger po-boy and bloody mary. It's not "fancy" but it's great and completely satisfying. NOLA fun
google avatar

Jay J.

Yelp
Great shop! Has plenty of seating inside and a great menu. It's got an awesome deli feel to it. I ordered the shrimp po-boy and the wife got the roast beef. Both were absolutely fantastic! The bread was super soft inside but with a nice chewy crust. The shrimp had a great breading and were fried to perfection. Add to that just the right balance of lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo and you've got a fantastic sandwich! They also have a wide menu of other offerings, not just po-boys. And yes, they have both sweet tea and lemonade! I'm a happy camper. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in NOLA.
google avatar

Andreas P.

Yelp
Looking for a real deal poboy in the CBD? This is the place! I went in during Mardi Gras to escape the funnel cake and sausage on a stick vendors. I came out with a fresh, hot, and juicy roast beef poboy. Don't let the LSU decor scare you off. Mike personally runs this place and he is truly a professional restaurateur.
google avatar

Randy E.

Yelp
Man am I glad I popped in here. Was staying at the JW Marriott just across the street and was looking for a good quick lunch. I couldn't decide what I wanted so the dude at the counter told me to try the Mufaletta... it did not disappoint! I got the half order and it was huge! Good spot, good food!
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
Just had a hamburger poboy from Serio's. I'm so tired of paying a fortune & getting crappy food. First off, did no know the hamburger I ordered would be a poboy. Would have been nice if somebody had mentioned that when I called to order. Anyway, it was AWFUL. It had enough Mayo for 4 poboys. The meat was like a dried up hockey puck and the bread to meat ratio was about 50% so 50% was just bread and 50% was meat and bread. I also had fries with my burger. They were cold when I got back to the office to eat them and smelled like they were fried in oil that should have been changed days ago and they didn't have salt on them. Do yourself a favor, go to Burger King or McDonalds on Canal Street & save yourself $6 or $7. At least you'll know what you're getting! Adding it to the list of NOT GOING BACK
google avatar

Tamara G.

Yelp
I mistakenly didn't get around to getting a po boy until my last day and I had to flight to catch... got here at 10 sharp as advertised on yelp... this was a big disappointment -_-
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great. I too saw the show again for a second time and I had to have the mufeletta. Living in CA that created a problem, so I went online got the number and called and spoke with Mike. What a Great down to earth guy. I ordered 5 mufelttas for overnight delivery. They came the next day and I was the hit of the block.. What a GREAT sandwich. It was even better then what I thought. You can even order the olive salad. I will be ordering some more sandwiches for my super bowl party... Thank you Mike for some wonderful food. Don in CA

Yelp
I was lucky to catch a New Orleans muffuletta episode of "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" prior to my trip down south. The olive salad made my mouth drool as I watched the Serio brothers defeat Chef Flay in this tasty competition. The program peaked my interest (and hunger!), enticing me to add the spot to my must-visit restaurant spreadsheet. Another benefit to my Serio's enlightenment was the fact that I was able to pass the recommendation onto a New Orleans native who had never even heard of the sandwich shop. I had high expectations for the Serio's muffuletta after the Food Network promo and my first taste of the NO classic at the Napoleon House. Serio's version was packed with alternating layers of provolone and various meats, while Napoleon's separated the two types of deli slices. The meshing of cheese and meat added a complexity rarely found in cold cut sandwiches. The bread was also more moist than Napoleon House's, though that was due to the delicious topping of olive salad soaked in oil. While I agreed with the Serio brothers' statement on "Throwdown" about the olive salad making or breaking the success of the muffuletta, their version was just too greasy for me. Oil oozed down my hand with each bite. I give Serio's a 4-star rating based on taste, but only 2-stars as a light meal. I also suggest that two people share a half a muffuletta.
google avatar

Thomas A.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place ever since i saw them on Throwdown with Bobby Flay way back when. The servers have a personality in a good way. They were also helpful in ordering the size of my Muffuletta. I ordered a 1/4. I think i could have finished a 1/2, but I'm glad i only got a 1/4 because I was looking to eat at other locations too. The sandwich is pretty damn good. I love the olive salad. You can also get it warmly pressed which is the way to go, so the bread has a crust but its still warm and soft on the inside.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
I had a "muff" and Mattie's fries. The counter guy and the cook weren't wearing masks but I was and I'm fully vaccinated and the place was empty so I decided to risk it. The sandwich was delicious and normally sized. The fries with roast beef debris were soggy and awesome. Getting to the bathroom is a bit of an adventure and it's a COVID risk but if you're looking for great food at reasonable prices served by friendly people, this is it.
google avatar

Coral I.

Yelp
You won't be disappointed with Mike's PO boys. We got the Turkey and it was very fresh and tasty! And Mike is a super nice guy with a very pleasant personality. Make sure to stop by if you want to treat yourself to an amazing sandwich! 5 stars all around!!!
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
One of the best if not the best catfish poboy I ever ate. Simple and flavorful, as opposed to the kinda bland poboys you sometimes get in the quarter. Guy at the counter is a bit salty, but that's part of the charm, and when I complimented him on the food, bunch of warm and hospitable conversation followed. Great example of how some of the best New Orleans dining experiences are at these random mom & pop spots. No frills, no coattails, just great food.
google avatar

DjTony G.

Yelp
Great Po'boys sandwiches. The shrimp sandwich kicked asssss. Very simple place but clean.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for a great po-boy, look no further. The ambiance is pure New Orleans and the food is unsurpassed. Will visit there as often as possible.
google avatar

Donna D.

Yelp
This place is awesome! It was right across the street from our hotel, which doesn't have bar service till 3:00pm (!!-ridiculous), so we went over for a Cajun bloody mary, which we were the first in line for. The owner/manager made it himself, and we chatted for a good 15 minutes. Super nice guy. They won a muffuletta competition against Bobby Flay a number of years ago, and when we got one on game day, I must say, it was delicious. Actually the husband got the Hot Sicilian and I got a muffuletta. The Hot Sicilian was better because of the meat/fillings ratio to bread, but both were delicious. Again, staff win. Nice folks, good product, good prices. Their hours are weird, so look online before you go.
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
We came here to try the Muffuletta that apparently beat Bobby Flay. I love Bobby and anything with olives! But I can't say I was blown out of the water with the "Bobby Flay" beating Muffuletta. There was too much bread and the bread wasn't good enough for me to enjoy it more than the fillings. I liked the olive mix and their potato salad was amazing. Service was good. Not a fancy place but plenty of seating. Overall 3.5 stars. I think if they improved the bread it would be better
