Google
I’d heard my colleagues talking about this place, so I decided to give it a try, and overall it was a good experience. I ordered a 1/4lb of pulled pork and a 1/4ln of beef brisket. The brisket was the highlight tender, flavourful, and nicely cooked. The pulled pork was a little on the dry side, but still enjoyable once paired with some BBQ sauce. For sides, we went with mac ’n’ cheese, chilli beans, and slaw. All were solid options and worked well alongside the mains. We also had two beers recommended by the barmaid. Pump Action and Krushed Alive — and both were excellent choices. Kudos to her for the spot-on suggestions. 🍺 The place was busy and lively, so getting a table required a short wait, but that’s usually a sign of a popular spot. It is on the pricier side, even for Scandinavia. Two meals plus two beers came to $136. For that price, a bit of table service would’ve been appreciated, especially since we had to clear our own table. Overall, a good visit with tasty brisket, great beer recommendations, and a buzzing atmosphere. Just be ready for higher Copenhagen prices.

I lived in Texas for 3 years, and my wife grew up there. This met our expectation of a Danish take on “authentic” Texas barbecue. All to say, it’s very poorly executed. The closest items to authenticity were the brisket tenderness and the side sauces. The brisket was cooked well, but lacked flavor. The pulled pork was so dry it might as well have been chicken. The sausage did not seem home made. It was missing the snap, and texture of a true Texas barbecue sausage. The sides were even worse. The mac and cheese can be described as macaroni soup with “cheese” dye. It’s super watery. It looked like they didn’t drain the pasta water and just poured powdered cheese into the bowl. It was flavorless. The coleslaw looked creamy, but was super vinegary and tasted stale. I’ve had better barbecue in Massachusetts. TLDR: Steal their sauce and leave everything else behind.

Google
Very rustic, go up to the service counter to pay, order and collect. Alot of meat on the menu. Very popular hard to get a seat later on in the evening. But well worth a visit for the experience

Google
Really enjoyed Warpigs it's pretty authentic to what they do in the US and they have it set up really well. Grab a beer, grab a tray, place your food order then find a space at the tables and get stuck in. The only slight negative was the brisket was a little dry but the flavours from the smoke and rubs were excellent. The sides are really good too and it's pretty decent value for money considering the quality

Google
Whilst on holiday in Denmark, we were able to plan a visit here as my family member who lives locally recommended the great food here. We were not disappointed and such a great time we spent here with delicious bbq foods, drinks and atmosphere.

Google
Amazing industrial pub, built in old butcher place. Large tables, self service and moderate amount of different beers, what else can one ask from pub? And did i say food was great!?

Google
Came here around 10:30pm on a Friday. Overall a solid, atmospheric place with a great beer selection and a really nice vibe. The only downside: the kitchen was already closed when I arrived, so I couldn’t try the food. Still worth it for the beers and atmosphere.

Google
The meat we had was really delicious and very filling. The price was a bit high, but it was worth it. The service was fast

Yelp
I ordered the Trooper Tray, and it was a feast for the senses. The tray came loaded with perfectly smoked brisket, ribs that fell off the bone, pulled pork that was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and sausage with just the right snap and seasoning. Each bite had a smoky richness that balanced beautifully with their house-made sauces. The sides? Oh, don't get me started on the mac and cheese--creamy, gooey perfection--and the tangy coleslaw that added a refreshing crunch to the mix. The atmosphere is another highlight. It's got that industrial, no-frills vibe with long communal tables that make it feel both cozy and lively. The beer selection is excellent, with local brews that pair perfectly with the BBQ. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to make recommendations. Warpig has mastered the art of BBQ in a way that's rare to find in Europe.

Yelp
Echoing many other reviews, WarPigs was incredibly busy. I was actually surprised to see a Texas-style BBQ and craft beer eerily reminiscent of American breweries in the heart of Copenhagen, but it seems to be VERY popular. Since we had a dinner reservation nearby we didn't get any food, but I will saw, from what I saw...everything looked really good. We came here for the beer, and I tried two Hazy IPAs as well as a Black IPA, a new one for me. I am a huge hazy NEIPA fan, and both of these hit perfectly. The hardest part was finding somewhere to post up, which we did eventually. Each beer came out to about $10 US, which isn't bad for the quality and size of the pour. BBQ, beer, or both, WarPigs is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
We love Mikkeller beer. This place was great, albeit, a bit too much like many American beer halls. Giant, loud, super crowded and a bit difficult to find a place to sit. Worth a visit if you're a fan of this brand, my BF got a cool scarf here, and a bunch of stickers (of course). It's in the meat packing district, in a slightly weird sort of strip mall. They have food, and barbeque here - that smelled GREAT - but we did not partake of that. Next time! Worth a visit if you love this brand.

Yelp
Mikkeller is one of my favorite breweries, and their take on BBQ did not disappoint. I was shocked by how good all the food was. The brisket was definitely the standout, nice smoke ring, thick bark, so juicy and tender. The pulled pork was surprisingly juicy as well where that often ends up being pretty dried out. They were out of hot sausage, so I had whatever the sausage was, tasted like it had cheese in it, wasn't my favorite, but was okay. The mac and cheese was creamy, but not overly strong on the cheese flavor. And the beans lacked the right tangy zing that I'm used to. Burnt ends in the beans was a nice tough though. Hushpuppies were phenomenal though, definitely grew up eating those, and these hit the spot. Overall the fixins are a nice accoutrement to the meat, but certainly didn't outshine it. There's a ton of beer options, and you order in a separate line from the BBQ which is good because the BBQ line definitely got backed up. There were somewhere around 20 beers here, and they had a couple stout options which are my favorite. The Mikkeller in San Diego (RIP) brewed a lot of stouts and they are surprisingly hard to find. Where do I get Beer Geek?? If you're looking to snag some Mikkeller beer and a bite to eat, this is the spot. The place is filled with picnic tables and was super busy around 6 pm on a Thursday when we were there. We could only find tables outside. There is a table full of a handful of different sauces which were fun to try. There isn't really napkins here which is one of my complaints, there's just a roll of paper to pull from by the trash cans. The trash is also set up in a way that makes it hard to pull out and scrape your food off at the same time. The bathroom also wasn't in great shape. As a restaurant, it's by no means a fine dining experience, and in my opinion, could use some touch ups to make the eating here a bit more pleasant all around. But clearly it's not keeping the crowd away, and it won't stop me either from coming back.

Yelp
Copenhagen's beer Mecca.. A collaboration between Three Floyds and Mikkeller. Always great rotating beer on tap Always great smoked meats and sides coming out of the kitchen. I've tried the brisket, hush puppies with pimento cheese, Mac & cheese, burnt ends baked beans and my favorite the smoked wings! It's always busy when I'm here for the Mikkeller Beer Celebration, but there's plenty of seating both inside and out. I always visit when I'm in Copenhagen
google avatar

Yelp
While their BBQ menu had no vegan options for me, I was thrilled to enjoy a variety of beers from the Mikkeller taproom menu. Caps Lock, their nitro coffee IPA, was, by far, my favorite beer of my entire vacation (to Munich and Copenhagen). It was delicious and I could drink it every day. It's rare to find a coffee IPA in the U.S.

Yelp
I am from the southern US. This place was hit or miss for me on authenticity and taste. I didn't enjoy my meal but the others in my party did. It is loud, busy, hard to find a table. We ate with someone else's dirty dishes at our seat. To order you stand in line and carry your food to your seat. Drinks are sold in a separate line. Pros: The pork meat at Warpigs seems like what I'd eat back home. Brisket was a little dry but good. My friends like their pulled pork. The link with cheese in it was very tasty and didn't taste too smoky. Potato salad was good. Chicken was sold out, which is my go to a barbecue restaurants so that was disappointing. It was not even late in the evening. Cons: The smoked wings seem breaded and fried. Not smoked. Definitely breaded. The sauce that comes with them is some kind of ranch/blue cheese mash up. It was not for me. It would start tasting good and then I'd get a hunk of blue cheese. The Mac and cheese is a very poor representation of American Mac n Cheese. It is watery and doesn't taste cheesy. 10/10 don't recommend (and Mac n cheese is usually my favorite thing at a bbq). No one in our group liked theirs.

Yelp
Decent beer and decent BBQ. WarPigs came up as a brewery while I was on vacation in Copenhagen. It was walking distance from my Airbnb so I went to check it out. I like the vibe of WarPigs. It's got a modern rustic interior, is a fairly big space and has tons of seating inside and out. Plus there's plenty of sauce for the BBQ at every table. Beer and BBQ ordering is done separately. Initially I wanted a beer, and had a good time with a helpful bartender finding something to drink. It was a high ABV IPA that wasn't too hoppy. Eventually I went back and got some ribs and brisket. They were ok and would have been better with some Sweet Baby Ray's, but hey, can't have everything you want on vacation. I would definitely visit WarPigs again.

Yelp
I'd say reviewers from the states are spot on with their reviews of WarPigs. 1. It's So loud and busy that it makes you want to turn right back around and find somewhere else to eat. Most of the tables are picnic tables and then there's some awkward seating on a riser- it's too cramped and there's no way a US Fire Marshall would allow it lol. 2. Awkward ordering, we ordered brisket, pulled pork, hush puppies, and tots. The meat was given to us right away, yet the sides weren't ready for another fifteen minutes, we ate the meat before the sides were done. Both meats were good but a little dry. The sauces were good and helped mask the dryness. The hush puppies came with pimento cheese, together it was good but we didn't finish them. The "tots" came in a boat of 5 and they were large- not your typical America tot. Again, we didn't finish these. 3. It's super expensive! Two sodas alone were $14, like what? I don't think we'd go for dinner again, too crowded and the wait for food just weren't worth it. Lunch? Maybe.

Yelp
My husband and I were only in Copenhagen for the weekend and one of the place that was on our list WarPigs. We trekked through the rain and was so excited to try them, they were packed even with so much rain, Bryan ordered at the front while I went out and found us a table. We ended up ordering potato salad, sweet pickles, a brisket sandwich and a beef rib. I don't know if I am really spoiled with the amazing bbq we have back at home but I was so disappointed. My beef rib was so dry it was hard to eat, I tried drenching it in sauce but it was still pretty tough. My sweet pickles were really tart, a little too much acidity to it. Bryan that his sandwich was fine but the only thing I thought was good was the potato salad. I wish I had a better experience, I didn't see much people eating mostly drinking the beer, we did get a couple t-shirts for souvenirs but I would say this place might a skip.

Yelp
Wow! Coming from KC, this place had a lot to live up to and boy did it! The vibe is so fun, yes, it is loud but that makes it perfect. The two lines, one for beer and one for food, was long but so incredibly fast. Definitely get a beer before you wait in line for food, then grab another beer before you sit down to eat. We got Mac and cheese, spicy pickles and pulled pork sandwiches. Try the mustard sauce on the side. YUM!
google avatar

Isabel J.

Yelp
Delicious food and beer. Finding seating was a bit tough because it was crowded but it was worth it!

Yelp
While in the area our group decided to visit Warpigs Brewpub. It's a cool spot where they specialize in smoked meats. We ordered brisket and sausages with a side of Mac and cheese and coleslaw, and topped it off with their key lime pie. Everything was delicious. They also have a wide selection of beers. This place is laid out with long tables and free seating. It's a laid-back atmosphere. Whether you're a BBQ enthusiast or just seeking a unique night out, Warpigs is a must-visit.

Yelp
After I heard several people rave about how the BBQ here was almost level to that in Texas, I had to go try it out. And, although it did not reach that level exactly, the food was still awesome. When I went in around 18:00, the place was already packed. People were sitting at almost every table and having a great time. Thankfully, there was no line to get food, though. I got 1/2 lb brisket with a side of Cole slaw, which was expensive. Given, it's Copenhagen, so you can't go into a restaurant expecting it to be cheap. The first thing I noticed was that the brisket was almost hard to eat; it would start falling apart as you lifted it with your fork. It was incredibly juicy and flavorful and fell off the bone (even though there were no bones). The smoke ring left a little to be desired, but the bark made up for it. It's not the best bark I have ever seen on brisket, but some of the best I have had in a restaurant. As for the Cole Slaw, it wasn't the greatest. Was it bad? No, but it was a little watery and pretty strong. Combined with the bustling atmosphere and great food, I'd definitely recommend coming here during your stay in Copenhagen.
google avatar

Jammie B.

Yelp
Service wasn't great but if you're an American missing home, this is a great place to stop and get some comfort food. Most people are kind enough to scooch over and make room for you if you want to sit outside. The variety of sauces was fun to try. Pricey but good.

Yelp
My husband and I had just landed in Copenhagen from a morning of flying and were staying at the Tivoli Hotel headed to Tivoli Gardena itself. Lo' and behold it was a rainy overcast day in CPH, surprise surprise! Hah. But we were really craving something warm and protein forward. Which led us to WarPigs! To be honest, I didn't have the highest expectations. Having awesome BBQ from home and across the US, I wasn't expecting this place to necessarily be stand out. Boy, was I wrong. This place was phenomenal. It's tucked in an industry style area right by the gardens. We walked in, counter style where they make it in front of you and you ring out. We opted to share a brisket sandwich with all the fixings, burnt end beans, spicy a pickles and an order of the mac entree ( which takes about 5-10 minutes to prepare). They also have a stellar beer list as it's a brewery as well! The atmosphere is spacious and open with large community tables through out. They have MASSIVE paper towel rolls and you can grab pitchers and glasses of water as well as their crates of BBQ when you sit down. Everything was amazing. The real stand out was the BBQ sauce. They have four types and every single one was delicious. Seriously I think the best bbq sauce we've ever had. Shared a pastry sour, good but not stand out. Overall, absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. We basically rolled out of there.

Yelp
Came here twice. I liked it so much the first time I went back... And also, a very pleasant surprise the bar-bee-que was absolutely top notch! And I am a Southern Man and have been to all the marquee places in the Southern U.S., and have to tell you the brisket hear rivals any brisket I have had. I was very pleasantly SHOCKED! I have been to their family brewery in Iceland as well, this one is better. I had a few of the IPA's and they were absolutely spectacular. Not quite in the same discussion with the Heady and/or Tree House, but way, way up there. Supreme quality. All of the beers here are excellent. They do it right, and know what they are doing...
google avatar

Dominick R.

Yelp
Came here in 2017 and it left such an impression I came back recently on a layover. The pull pork sandwich and burnt end beans were superb and the sauces they have are a mind blowing pairing to the food. If you happen to be in town visiting or looking for something great as a local try this place
google avatar

Nancy E.

Yelp
We're from the states and loved it! We had the Trooper platter. We should have shared it, bc it was alot of food. It was full of locals and visitors. Let me also comment on the music, which was the bomb!! Ramones, Green Day but we didn't hear any Black sabbath or Cake play War Pigs?! Keep it up CPH!
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and unique dining experience. This is a restaurant serving Mikeller beers on tap. The workers were very nice and let us sample different Danish beers before picking the one we wanted. The food was really good and fresh. You go up to the counter and you choose what you want and they put it right on your tray. Would recommend for a fun casual dinner and evening!
google avatar

Jason O.

Yelp
If you love food and beer or if you have a pulse you'd be an absolute fool to miss out on an opportunity to feast on Denmark's greatest contribution to the world of BBQ. It's a walk up style food line that has some tremendous options including brisket, sausage, ribs, pulled pork, and some incredible classic sides like potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw. The beer selection is equallly impressive and sure to satisfy any beer loving palate. The staff are friendly and professional and even capable of some snarky humor. The seating area is fantastically laid out in a cafeteria setting but with solid tables and benches along with a true bar feel, complete with a good mix of rock music to keep your energy up. So, skip the smørrebrød and head over to WarPigs! Enjoy!
google avatar

Shayla P.

Yelp
Honestly, probably the juiciest and most tender wings I've ever had and they had no bbq sauce on them! Great seasoning/ flavor! No ciders for gluten free people, but wow! Great food and unique beers--Try the milkshake!
google avatar

Katelyn D.

Yelp
WarPigs is a a great place for beer with or without food. The BBQ is pretty good. We had the brisket, chicken wings (Szechwan level) , chicken, special links, Cole slaw & Mac & cheese (plus a size of the wing Death sauce). Everything was good and the wings by far were the favorite meet selection. The beer selection is great. We sat inside but there's also tables outside. It was great to just hangout and enjoy.

Kasey P.

Yelp
Was visiting from the states when I went to Warpigs. Brisket sandwich was amazing. Beers were tasty. Vibes were cool. Would recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Nah. We came for an app and a beer on Friday. Sold out of all starters, and hot links. It was slammed. Saturday- still slammed. Beer selection good, they were sold out again of all starters and hot links. We got pulled pork (fine) brisket (bitter AF-how?! And dry) Mac (al dente noodles, soupy sauce) and under seasoned slaw. Adding sauce helped, but with good bbq, you know the rest of this sentence already. If the guys on the line weren't so rude, I might not have such a bad taste in my mouth. Pass.
google avatar

Vincent M.

Yelp
I've been to Three Floyd's brewery years back and was excited to give War Pigs. I was hoping for good bbq and they didn't disappoint! Location was really cool, plenty of space and busy, but not a long wait. My wife and I went big... the Texas Smørrebrød. A list of bread sliced the long way and topped with brisket, pulled pork, special sausage (they were out of the regular one so they upgraded us to the special sausage of the day), then cabbage slaw, and pickles. Pork and the sausage were the best, brisket was good. A lot of food. The party next to us was surprised the two of us were going to take it on and congratulated is when we finished. Many bbq sauces to try as well, plus tasty beer.
google avatar

Cole A.

Yelp
Warpigs was great, but a bit expensive. They had a great NE IPA that I tried. Fruity, juicy, bitter with a great mouthfeel and nice bite out so it didn't taste too malty and hid the high ABV. However, beers starting at $8+ makes it tough to have a second. They had a great patio with lots of shared seating. They also had a BBQ joint that people seemed to be enjoying in case you get hungry.
google avatar

Allison C.

Yelp
I found the menu to be very hit or miss. Brisket and pork ribs were juicy and flavorful, just like how you would find them in Texas. The Mac n cheese and special link sausage were a miss for me. I didn't quite like the cheese they used for either. Super chill bbq/brewpub combo with plenty of room inside and outside and a nice selection of beer.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
The best part of this place is the atmosphere. Constantly busy, but with an energetic vibe that makes the experience enjoyable. In the middle of a unique and cool industrial area. A classic BBQ feel with a mix in of the brewery vibes. When you are here you will forget you are in Europe. You will feel like you're at your favorite local American BBQ joint. The food was phenomenal. Top notch BBQ which says a lot as an American. I have never found great BBQ outside of America. I've found good BBQ but never great. That all changed at War Pigs. Great BBQ with a home sweet home taste. The mac and cheese was great. The hush puppies were some of the best I've ever had. The pimento cheese was an unexpected, but very pleasant, surprise to find in Europe. The beer selection was the best I've found in Europe as far as craft beers are concerned. Delicious and a wide variety. I tried as many as I could (for the health benefits of course) and enjoyed each one. This place deserves all the love it gets online. It's easy to see why it's busy. But it is well worth the wait.
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
Good was great! Customer service (the guy actually serving the plate) wasn't the friendliest though. He seemed irritated that I was asking questions about the food. I tried the hotlinks n potato salad. Both were great. Hubby had brisket sandwich and ribs and Mac n cheese. All was so good. Not to mention the different sauces on the table to try. Great food. Customer service could be better though.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the vibe, read: atmosphere, service and yes food. From the moment you walk in, place smells and looks clean. Great beers on tap, very friendly service at the bar and kitchen. Organized process, had a pint by the window looking out at the people in the meat packing district (nice people watching) - then stepped up to the kitchen. Brisket, pork shoulder and spare ribs - priced by the 1/4, 1/2 and 1 lb. All delicious, Mac n' cheese basic, but delicious. Burnt tip with beans side also wonderful but includes a healthy amount of meat. Tip: easy to go overboard and order more meat than you can eat (that's what she said) be conscious of your order, you'll fill fast with a few pints. Overall - a must stop.
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
The beer here is very good, and the BBQ is heavenly! We shared briskett, hot links, and pork ribs. You could have knocked me over with a feather once we tried the meat - it's the best damn BBQ I've had this year outside of Texas! We also got the mac & cheese and the potato salad sides. Both were solid choices, with the mac & cheese being unquestionably the best of the two. Tip: Danish pricing tends to run quite a bit higher than those in the US, so you may well experience "sticker shock" when the check comes - you'll find yourself needing to pay at least double for the BBQ here as compared to typical US prices. Yes, the prices are high, but their BBQ is nothing short of amazing, and worth every Kroner! ;-)

Yelp
Legit BBQ, great beer selection, I loved this place! Would definitely go back next time in Copenhagen

Tamara L.

Yelp
Some of the best BBQ I've ever had! Everything was well seasoned and the smoke flavo

Yelp
While wandering around the streets of Copenhagen, we unintentionally ran into the meatpacking district. This particular block was a huge U shaped building with dozens of bars and restaurants. There was a huge variety, and all looked pretty cool. I wasn't in CPH long enough to know if this was just a cool part of town, if it was Danish Hipster, or perhaps we were just mesmerized by the coolness of it all. We actually stopped at Hija de Sanchez (see other review) first, then made our way to Warpigs. The first thing I noticed about Warpigs was the name, the logo, and a bunch of happy people standing outside, beer in hand. Even before entering, some local guys out front turned and welcomed us. I inquired about what their suggestion would be for beer (always good to ask locals what they like, if you want to try homegrown stuff), and not only were they extremely helpful, they ALL said "here, try mine"! Talk about aloha spirit, alive and well in Denmark! That was super cool of them. And not only did I sip their drinks, one of the gentlemen said "this one was named after me. I'm Kenn Lee". This meant nothing to me at the time, but as soon as I made my way inside and saw the massive list of beers on tap (22 of them), sure enough number 22 was Kenn Lee's Revenge! I was browsing through all 22 on the board, and the moment I saw number 16, I knew I had to have it. Nowhere else on Earth can I go somewhere and order a "You Really F#%ked Me Up, And I'm Really F#%king Furious". The name alone sold me! Luckily, I'm not a picky beer drinker, and like imperial milk stouts, which this was. It didn't taste like a traditional imperial milk stout, it was stronger, similar to a harsh barley wine. I enjoyed it, yet it did give me a strong buzz, living up to its name. A few more of those and I do think I would be yelling it's name out loud- unsure if I was ordering or accusing. They also had a neat collection of in-house bottles, each with cool graphics on the label. I got a chuckle from the border crossing Mexas Ranger. Unfortunately, I stuck to draft beer though, and did not sample the bottles. Warpigs is actually a BBQ joint / brewpub. We had just eaten twice before arriving here, so I had zero room to try some BBQ, although I would have loved to. It looked delicious. This gives me the excuse to go back again, which I one million percent will, when I'm in CPH again. This place truly was great, in all aspects.

Yelp
Sniff sniff! Let the smoky aromas take you in. This is a popular joint from early to late night. In and outdoor seating. About 20 tap beer bar and some bottles. Its known for their joint venture beers. Friendly bar staff. Its also known for their bbq.

Yelp
reall big lively outdoor space when the weather permits. bbq here is good. pulled pork worth an order and also creative with their sausages. great spot for a beer and a little bbq

Yelp
These guys are as close as you're going to get to American barbecue in Copenhagen. Is it the very best I've ever had? No. Is it the best in Copenhagen, most probably. I'm going to give these guys a four. The mac and cheese was good, the brisket was fatty (per my request), and the pulled pork was pretty delicious. The hot wings were just okay. Overall I enjoyed the smokiness and the tenderness of the meats. Plus they have a big beer selection and outdoor seating. Their sauces are a bit off but not horrible. It's just not what you would think of when you think of American BBQ sauce. Try them, or not. It doesn't take away from the meats. It's not cheap but BBQ hardly ever is. You order your food by the pound and pay at the bar. Get dirty, this is BBQ.

Yelp
American style BBQ, cafeteria service. Crowded, noisy, loud music, and worth it all. The food is authentic. The Bar has many, many beers on draft. In the end, it's FUN!

Yelp
If you want BBQ in CPH this is the place. It has been busy all the times I've visited. They finally had the special and hot links (they usually run out) and both were tasty. It isn't cheap as two links and an IPA was $28 but hey it's Copenhagen. The last time I was here they had a smoked Pastrami (not on the menu) and it was amazing! Would be great if they added to the menu. I've had the Brisket which was ok-great atmosphere and beer selection!

Yelp
The short of it: Bbq smells amazing. Beer is on point! The long of it: This spot was on our list of possible places to eat/drink while in Copenhagen before we got there. We were already in the general area at a Mikkeller Bar and figured this would be a great next stop for more beer and definitely some food. It is located among a strip of businesses, stores and bars. War Pigs is a long space (if you see it, that will make sense) with a lot of communal beer garden-like tables both inside and outside. You get in line and order at the bar, and if you want food you have a separate line and place to order. When you pay for your food, you can also order and pay for a beer, then you take your receipt to the bar and pick up your beer. If you like really hoppy beers, you are going to love it here. I like trying different beers, so I loved it here, even though nothing really struck me as a favorite. The bartenders are friendly and happy to give a recommendation (I was pretty pleased with the wheat beer that was suggested to me). I was running low on daily funds, but needed some sustenance to get me through the rest of the night. I didn't need a full bbq meal, but it sure did smell amazing! I opted to get a side of mac & cheese. It was really delicious and quite filling, for a side-size of something! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. The weather was nice enough to sit outside, which is good because it was PACKED inside. You can get beer and food, the restrooms are clean. I mean...I got what I wanted, needed, and expected. Absolutely worth a visit!

Yelp
Warpigs in Copenhagen Denmark is simply something you would not expect to find. Seriously this BBQ joint is right up there with some of the best BBQ in America. All of their sauces are delicious... The make homemade hush puppies with pimento cheese spread that is insane. Burnt end beans, way better Mac n cheese than most spots. If your over here make sure you stop in. You will be blown away !!!!!

Yelp
I'm going to say this was one of the most refreshing BBQ joints I have come across in a long time. Set in the old meat packing district, is this no-frills all rock bar and restaurant. You'll find awesome craft beer and a great selection of BBQ meats and sides. They will slice up cuts to order, and build your own trays of spicy, yummy goodness. There is a huge assortment of beers and soda and a rock n roll atmosphere. It was a sunny spring day so all the outside tables were filled with lip smacking fans. I would definitely come here with friends or in this case, my partner for a fun time.

Yelp
Best barbecue in Europe. You chose the meat and how much and they serve it hot on a tin tray. Brew pub is also nice. Recommend pork shoulder as brisket tonight was a bit dry. Their sauces are also really good. Spicy to sweet with coleslaw and three kinds of pickles as sides.

Yelp
I was surprised when a BBQ and brewery was recommended to me in Copenhagen. This was my go-to when I lived in St. Louis. It was a short walk from our hotel which was nice, but not in the best lit location. The brewery was large with plenty of tables and had a pretty industrial feel. We ordered beer first - they had a ton of variety and we wanted to try several so we got a flight of 6 . The flight was a preselected one and a bit mislabeled so I'm not sure which beer was which. I had to try the barbecue even though I wasn't very hungry. I ordered a piece of brisket. They slice the brisket right in front of you. My piece was a little too fatty, but since I was just ordering it to try it there was plenty of meat, which was pretty good. The Kansas City and Texas sauces were appropriately sweet, tangy and spicy. I didn't try the other two as I've never been a fan of them. The BBQ was good but pricy for what I got. Had I been hungrier I would have loved to try the mac and cheese side as well. I imagine if I lived in Copenhagen I would be thrilled to have a place like this to remind me of home.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure I just had the best Texas BBQ of my life in Copenhagen of all places. I'm in Texas several times a year and this was better than anything I've found so far.

Yelp
Very tasty BBQ - everything from burnt ends, spareribs, and brisket with some decent sides. Try the macaroni and cheese tots, they are delicious! This isn't a service based sit down restaurant. You grab a tray and order food from the slightly grumpy guy slicing meats, and get your own sodas. A bar is inside as well and you can get beer and mixed drinks. Plenty of seating inside and out. Decent music playing and and an industrial feel to the atmosphere. Not cheap, but good food!

Yelp
We had a large group meeting in Copenhagen for a Danish-American wedding. We all love 3Floyds and BBQ so it was a great place for everyone coming in for the wedding to meet, drink and eat, and drink and eat! We had a fixed menu that included everything but the brisket...and that looked perfect too. Many choices of beer from this collaboration of 3Floyds and Mikkeller.

Yelp
Generals gathered in their masses...but I digress. This is serious American style BBQ coupled with a serious metal up your arse soundtrack. From brisket to pork shoulder to sausage, if you've got a hankering for serious BBQ meats...they've got the meats. Oh and lot and lots of beer too. Tasty sides include sweet/spicy pickles, chunky potato salad, coleslaw. PROTIP: ask for the complimentary white bread to sop up the 4+ sauce options including the KC style my personal fav. Tons of picnic table outdoor seating makes this the perfect spot on a warm & sunny CPH day.
