This cafe is in a really cute area called Ikseon-dong. Lots of cute alleys with hanoks and really nice cafes and restaurants. This cafe was cute, they serve like really fluffy steamed breads? Andrew wasn't a fan though lol

I wasn’t planning to go to this place because I knew there was no way I’d get a seat, usually the lines are insane. But to my surprise, I walked by at 12:30 and saw no line. There were only about 5 people inside, so I figured… why not? I got seated right away and ordered the vanilla French toast and the famous steamed bread (corn and sweet potato). The French toast was solid , sweet, soft, and nicely done. But the steamed bread? Honestly, I don’t get the hype. It was just okay. Definitely not worth waking up early and standing in line for hours like some people do

Stumbled upon this lovely steamed bun café and instantly fell in love with the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed — airy, warm lighting, and tastefully minimal décor that invites you to sit and stay a while. The steamed buns were soft, pillowy, and bursting with flavorful fillings, each one made with care. Whether you’re here for a quick snack or a slow afternoon with tea, this café offers a perfect little escape. A hidden gem worth revisiting.

My wife dragged me since the early hours of the morning to come and be in line for this place we’ve come in there were 15 people waiting before us but we only waited for like let’s say 15 to 20 minutes so that was not too bad as soon as we entered it was really nice minimum atmosphere. The bread is cool. We got Sweet potato bread and plain and we also got cream cheese toast and my coffee was really nice. it was a classic cream coffee. I wouldn’t come back just to pay $24 for all of this, but it was OK worth the first visit as I’m writing this comment. My wife is giving me the eyeshave a good day Google maps reviewers

The first time I had their signature steamed bread, I was blown away. I knew I had to visit again within this trip and sure enough I was very satisfied on the second time! The wait wasn't long (went after lunch time) and service was pretty good. My favorite would be the plain bread with their butter. So soft and fluffy like a cloud. The French toast was also soufflé soft and it was absolutely delicious with the vanilla ice-cream. Will come back again!

Arrived at 9:30 and had to wait in line for 30 minutes. The bread was nice but it wasn’t worth the wait. The place is aesthetically pleasing, but it also wasn’t worth the wait. The waiters were sweet but the wait was too long for me to give it a better rating. Had the plain and chestnut steamed bread and the strawberry milk.

I have come to the understanding that in Korea, some food places are more about the aesthetics, ‘the vibes’ and a nice place to sit and chill, rather than the food. Form over function. Cafe culture permits that the coffee and food offered can be average as long as the place is really nice. Unfortunately, this is one of those places. It’s beautiful to sit in, service is good, and it’s cool looking at them prepare the bread and coffee but if you’re someone who cares about food solely and are in Korea to eat eat eat- you should absolutely skip this place. It’s just steamed bread. Mediocre at best. Corn was nicer than original flavour though. Soup tasted like those $2 packets you can get from the groceries and just add water or milk. For the bread- you can get the same result by putting a bun in the microwave with a small bowl of water on the side. I’m a bit of a bread snob but honestly I don’t know who this bread is impressing here. Also skip the coffee it was so weak and diluted. We were sitting at the cafe opposite and noticed the line finally shorten so out of curiosity, went to try. Thankfully did not wait very long but gee yeah nah, at least I got some nice pictures

ORDERED: 🍞 Steam bread in Corn & Chestnut (₩6,500 + ₩6,500) 🍨 Honeycomb vanilla bread (₩15,000) ☕ Almond mocha iced (₩8,000) Between two people, I spent ₩22,000 / ~AUD $24.50 for my portion. REVIEW: 🏮 Pretty cafe! Running across the roof are airy drapes that create a lightness. Japandi style with its minimalism and light wooden tones, it's a relaxing, gorgeous space. 🍞 The steamed bread is fun. We went with the corn and chestnut versions (you have to pick two flavours). It was an interesting spongy texture. I like corn slightly more than the chestnut because of the sweetness and the burst of flavour. However, both were great! 🌽 My favourite was actually the honeycomb vanilla bread. It's a straightforward flavour combination that wasn't overly sweet. Having a sweet treat for brunch is always a win! 😗 We rocked up on a Thursday at 8.50am and waited for roughly 20 minutes. I think this is a reasonable wait time. Service was good too! They give you time to read through the menu. Although we flagged them down because we were ready to order, the waiter swerved and took the table's order behind us first (because they were seated first). The waiter did give us the nod of acknowledgement beforehand though. 👍

Came here because of several IG posts in my feed. Ikseon is a tourist spot so there's a lot of foreigners than locals and most of them also saw the IG posts and online recos. There was a line and we were in it for about 20mins. We gor seated about noon. It's a small cafe but they did very well on maximizing the space to accommodate as much people. We hoped to be seated at the counter where we can see the bread steamers but it was full and we got seated by the side walls. Staff were attentive, friendly and spoke English. We ordered the steam bread, of course. One order has 2 breads and we chose plain and chestnut . It was served with whipped sweet cream cheese spread and it was delicious! We also ordered their corn mayo bread but unfortunately, it was sold out very early. We decided to get the honeycomb vanilla bread instead. It was served with vanilla ice cream and extra honey. It was too sweet for our liking, we did not even drizzle the honey anymore. We paired our breads with iced classic cream coffee (einspanner) and it was average. The coffee has a sour aftertaste, maybe underroasted. I think IG overhyped the place. Come for the steam the bread and try their teas instead.
