"Milagros is famous for its tequilas—the most extensive selection on the island, with more than 30 options. You can choose from 10 margaritas or even build your own, though it's hard to beat the El Jeffe: a double shot of reposado shaken with fresh lime and served on the rocks. Also hard to beat is the daily happy hour (3 to 6pm): $5 house cocktails, $4 draft beers, and $6 bar bites." - Kris Fordham

Google
Service was great. My wife and I came during happy hour so drinks were a great price and strong too. We sat outside in the nice breeze. The food was alright. It's not authentic Mexican food but it's not bad either. I'd come back and try something different than what I got. The vibe was good.

Google
This food was NOT TEX MEX. I had pork soft tacos. The pork was dry, the rice and black beans were ok... but also dry. The rice and black beans was very small helping. My spouse had the burrito w/ ground beef. He said it was ok.

Google
We stopped by town on our way back from Hana and found this restaurant while driving. We were able to get seated quickly. Our server was very friendly. The food was hot and delicious. A few of us shared the fajita plate and it was plenty of food for multiple if you aren’t very hungry! Definitely recommend if you’re craving Mexican food!

Google
Their margaritas are spot on. My cocorita tasted like a pina colada and the roasted coconut flakes just added to the deliciousness. I got a good buzz from it. My wife’s mango passion fruit suited her. She prefers alcoholic drinks where she can’t taste the alcohol. My Shrimp enchiladas was delicious. The red Chile sauce had lots of flavor. The black beans and rice was also tasty. My wife’s burrito was also packed full of flavor. This isn’t your standard Tex-Mex. Everything had a little bit of Mexico in it and it was delicious.

Google
Small restaurant with good Mexican food. Great seafood options and the salsa and guacamole were tasty. Solid food but not knock your socks off. Very small seating area indoors and small bar with seating as well so most of the action is on the patio. Great tequila selection for this small town restaurant though. Service was very good. Parking is challenging so would look for in street or there is the public lot on the western end of Paia.

Google
Burgers are the best we've tried on the island. Cooked perfectly, taste is spot on and not greasy. Fries are a tad salty though. Fish tacos are good, but I'd rather have a burger here and fish across the street. Kids quesadilla was enjoyed by a four year old. We will be returning.

Google
Great place to have lunch! We sat outside and watched the world go by while sipping on some nice cold cocktails and nibbling on nachos! Huge generous portion so you don’t wave hungry! Staff is super friendly and happy to help answer any questions you have about their menu. If you are looking for something tasty to share go for the nachos! They are HUGE and won’t disappoint!

Google
Great service. Amazing drinks ( I'm tipsy🤗) Love the salsa and chips . Salad with mahi-mahi less then very average. Would recommend it.

Nicole R.

Yelp
Delicious food with huge portions! We stopped here in paia randomly due to the many vegetarian options for our vegetarian. Service was great and they were super open to modifications. We ate outside so we could see the sun and people walking outside but still got shade from the sun. Food was delicious but servings were 2-3 times larger than expected. With a group of five we would have been fine just ordering two appetizers. Our faves included the nachos, enchilada fries, fish tacos, Mahi mahi sandwich, cali style quesadilla, and the ring of fire burger. We also enjoyed the limeade and strawberry lemonade from the bar. We will definitely be going again.

Yelp
Terrible. We arrived with a party of 13. The host was not happy about it, she said she didn't have staff to support that many people, (on a major holiday weekend) So we asked if we could split by family and again was told no. It's a restaurant, not a small cafe. My girlfriend asked if she can just sit with one child "well I guess but you can't bring outside food" which was clearly just a reusable container for a baby with no teeth. If it was a staff issue a simple, sorry the wait time is an hour plus etc etc, but this woman was something else. Felt like they didn't like tourists. So so very rude, not a smile nothing. Ended up at the flatbread pizza spot, delicious and awesome staff. GO THERE.

Yelp
I haven't been here in forever because it's always busy or hard to find parking. But this time, the stars aligned for me to enjoy some Milagros! Had a delicious Ahi Sandwich (fresh catch of the day, otherwise usually Mahi Mahi) and a refreshing Margarita. Service was super quick, got seated right away and our food came pretty fast. Loved the outdoor seating but can get hot especially with summer coming up. Portions are hefty and filling but so worth it!

Grover M.

Yelp
Quickly seated our party of 6 on a midweek summer evening. Prompt friendly service. Food was good.

James M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and I wasn't pleasantly surprised. I ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi fish tacos and a margarita. The margarita was ok but the fish tacos were ridiculous!! They were some of the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. The right amount of fresh fish, cheese, salsa, etc. absolutely delicious

Brandi J.

Yelp
We were seated outside and the restaurant is on the corner of the street, but not too noisy with traffic. All the staff were amazing and the food was decent. It wasn't my favorite as far as taste goes on some of the items we ordered, but not bad. I'd definitely try again if back in the area especially since the staff were so nice and service was fast!

Gav D.

Yelp
Trash. Found a straw wrapper in my burrito bro. Prob was the bartender. Knew it was their straw wrapper too. Cuz my wrappers i tear um and this one matched the types they use and was busted from the top

Scott S.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. We have been here three times and plan on coming back again. The drinks are great. I have had a few different margaritas and like them all. The jalapeño margarita is my personal favorite. I had the chicken fajitas this time. There is a lot of food. The rice and beans are very good. They have a ton of vegetables. I would get steak next time instead of the chicken though. Good prices and lots of food. Come hungry.

Roger L.

Yelp
Cute place in a cute Maui town. Quick service, excellent food, cold local beer. Who could ask for anything more? If you stop in, get the Cali Quesadilla. So good.

Paige R.

Yelp
Definitely give this easy-going spot a try if in Paia! The food was excellent and it is really hard to find good Tex-mex food in Hawaii. The quesadilla had great flavoring and is a large portion size! Could be split with a friend if not looking for anything super heavy. We sat outside and enjoyed the open air environment. It is right in the center of Paia so a great stop between shops or even a good spot to hit before going onto the road to Hana. The service was very prompt and friendly. Food came out quickly and check was ready as soon as we asked for it. Would definitely recommend this spot to friends and Maui residents for a good Tex-Mex spot!

Kylia V.

Yelp
Go here for all the happy hour deals! Literally so so amazing. We called ahead each day to see what the deal of the day was for happy hour and the deals were to die for! The Mai Tai's and Tacos were delicious and a great price!!! The employees were very attentive to serve each guest with joy and delight. I also noticed they were fairly busy and still delivered everything promptly. Seating inside felt pretty dark and dimly lit but I the outdoor seating was really nice. Anyways, GO HERE FOR HAPPY HOUR AND YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Disgusting. The food was absolutely terrible from the chips, salsa, guacamole....it was all bad. We are from Arizona so we are used to good Mexican food but as far as flavor in general, this was still bad. The service was fine. The ambiance was a bar so it's what you would expect. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. Bleh!

Tim O.

Yelp
This is our third time to Milagros over the years. I think it will be our last. First, the service was great and no issues at all. Top notch. The chips and salsa, should have taken a pass. Warmed up generic chips and Pace salsa at the best. No authentic flavors to speak of. Ordered 2 different margaritas and both couldn't have been more blend. My guess is the cheapest Blanco Tequila and bargain food distributor mixer. Recommend passing on the margaritas. The enchiladas were reasonable and plenty big platters. Beans were dry and not a lot of flavor, but the rice was good. The pork and chicken enchiladas were ok. Certainly a down grade from our previous visits. Next time in town, we will try another restaurant. Overall, price for the lunch was typical of the area.

Yelp
Visited Paia and came across Milagros Food. Located On the corner with Hawaii visitor's walking around we enjoyed lunch. I had an awesome bacon cheddar burger and a big wave beer. That was one of the most flavorful burger I have ever had and the fixings were spot on. The size and portions with good fries made it easy for leftovers. It was so good we came back again and I repeated the experience...so worth it. Wife had the pork quesadilla with super fresh sides. Again the food was on the mark and again it made for great leftovers. Hopefully our pix do some justice for this locals mom and pop eatery. We sat at the bar both times, cool little spot. Staff and service were always friendly and great to talk with. It made the day easy hawaii living, saw a lot of locals stop in. Will definitely return and have lunch and a brew next I'm in town. 5 Stars...keep up the great job Cheers

Yelp
Waited at the "see hostess for seating" sign for 12 minutes without a greeting from anyone. This was at 2 on a Saturday, with multiple open tables on the patio; someone at least could have acknowledged our existence. Left and went to Flatbreads and were instantly greeted and had an awesome meal.

Pradeep M.

Yelp
Mexican food at Hawaii not been great experience for me. May be because I am from San Diego I have great expectations. Atmosphere is great with little beach downtown flavor all around. Inside and outside seating available with barstool height and regular height tables. Started with chips and salsa, it was good, But it all ended there. Mahi Mahi Burrito, Mahi Mahi taco, cal steak burrito everything' was below average in taste. Everything tasted Tandy and sweet, may be they added lot of Tomatillos. Drinks were below average too, just sugar. Cocorita was just too sugary and tasted no tequila in it. Try to avoid Mexican food in Hawaii, instead try their local Hawaiian food, way better.

Annie D.

Yelp
Cozy bar. Good service. Tajin option for margarita is a plus. Guac & salsa were so-so.

Jan S.

Yelp
We ate here after a bike tour. We heard that the burgers were good but they also have tacos and burritos on the menu. Everyone in our group felt more like ordering those Mexican items and we all ended up with a bit of regret. The salads and burgers looked better. The burritos were just so-so. They had kind of a sweet flavor to them from the beans and rice.

Kanani T.

Yelp
I've lived on Maui my entire life and never ate here. Ok, I admit it, I may have always thought of it as a tourist trap. But, after giving it a chance, I take it back. We got seated quickly and our waitress was friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly and service was great. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and beef nachos to share with my 2 kids. The nachos are basically a trough of food! And they're really good! Their awesome homemade chips are topped with all the good things you know and love. The chicken quesadilla was yummy too. We had so much food left over! So make sure you have a big appetite or someone to share with as their portions are hearty. We'll be back for more. Go check them out!

Laura M.

Yelp
Tried the Mahi burger while we were staying in Kihei, it was delicious! Definitely repeat restaurant while we're in Maui.

Britt K.

Yelp
Perfect lunch spot, sit outside, people watch .. accommodating of a large party. Great for people who don't love seafood and those that do! Mahi mahi fajitas (blackened) - delicious, generous portions. Burgers, enchiladas, quesadillas, hit the spot for all.

Karina T.

Yelp
I had been craving a burger all week and seeing this place so finally decided to try it out. Very happy I did because that was the best burger I could have hoped for and even was told by one of the staff that the burger was her favorite too. If you happen to be looking for a good burger with nice outside seating and a relaxed atmosphere this is the place to try.

Jason W.

Yelp
Though staff was pretty friendly, the food here is below average. Ordered the cheeseburger w/ chili and fries. My wife had some other Mexican slop. It's astounding to me the sub par food on this island. Most overpriced and overrated place on the planet.

Chris G.

Yelp
Terrible service. Horrible place to bring your family. Sara D was unkind, rude and nasty in front of my child. Don't ever come here.

Michelle K.

Yelp
I had such high expectations given the reviews but I was disappointed. It started with the Diet Coke that tasted like Diet Pepsi. I asked the server who after more questioning mentioned it was Diet Cola. Those who drink Diet Coke know the difference. I asked if the fish was fresh. I was told it was but not really because it is pre-frozen but it was once fresh and is local. The chips were stale. I asked if they made them fresh and was told they did. I gave them 3 stars because the guacamole and salsa was good. Our entrees were ok.

Mike F.

Yelp
Happy hour quite good. Food is good. Very nice patio. Service was good. Would recommend this place

Emily B.

Yelp
This place has never disappointed and today no exception. We wanted to sit outside not in the sun and requested a table by the window. The hostess promptly wiped it clean, seated us and brought some water lickity-split. Our waitress, Lulu, came out shortly after. She was really sweet. She took our drink and food order. We weren't in a hurry. We were just hungry. I ordered the house margarita because it was on the happy hour menu. My friend ordered a mai tai, which I didn't know until the bill came, that it was also on the happy hour menu. So 4 tasty drinks for only $20 and they were both decent size and really good. On the way to our table, we saw someone else had ordered the mahi mahi sandwich that looked big enough to split. So we did. Ordered blackened with all the toppings on the side because my other half is picky. I loaded my side up as high as I could with toppings and could still taste the delicious fish. Such a great flavor. The natural cut fries were also tasty. I'll definitely come back here.

Morgan M.

Yelp
Quick stop while On the road to Hana. Chips and salsa are delicious. Nice big portions. Drinks are big and the margaritas are tasty! Chicken fajitas are large portion and delicious. Great little spot for lunch!

Larecia C.

Yelp
Visiting Maui & stumbled across this spot while perusing Paia. It's located conveniently on the corner so you can't miss it. The drinks were good & the vibe is nice & cozy inside. This is what made me come back a 2nd time the next day. I'm came for the happy hour & wasn't disappointed. Food: Just ok. I mean what can you really expect of a Tex-Mex restaurant in Hawaii? The first time I came, I had the happy hour special which was their version of Pork Totchos (Pork Nachos). Very tasty & filling for $6. I also had ONE Mai Tai, which was good & strong. I left tipsy from ONE lol. The second time I ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. It was nothing to write home about & the rice was undercooked. Please note that it's served with some type of sweet chutney sauce on the tacos, so beware if you don't like the sweet & savory vibe. Drinks: Very good happy hour. $5 Mai Tai's, Margaritas & other specials on wine & beer. The second day I came there was a different bartender & the Mai Tai wasn't as strong, so I guess it depends on who's behind the bar. Parking: All street parking, but it wasn't too bad finding a spot. Overall, I would come for happy hour which is from 3pm-6pm. They do require proof of vaccination to sit inside, but not outside. Cheers.

Gabby S.

Yelp
Came at around 1pm for a quick stop for chips+drinks. We got seated pretty quickly outside and was immediately greeted with a server to take our drink order. We got the Lilikoi Martini and a Blue Hawaiian. The Lilikoi Martini was perfect! I loved the passion fruit taste and it was a little strong but it was so good. The Blue Hawaiian was refreshing. The chips and salsa were standard. There were many tourists there, and the ambiance included many Hawaiian deco. Kind of like a Hawaiian Chili's vibe. Overall, a nice little joint.

Kaylee M.

Yelp
The only thing about this place is that they have a good burger. Jen the bartender had nothing but disrespect for me. I wanted to place a togo order, and nothing but disgust in her eyes. Customers come in to pay money and leave a tip. And obviously I did not with this type of service. Usually when I go into Milagros and have the best host and they are always on top of service. However this time I have never felt less welcome to an establishment. Owner should heavily consider replacing Jen with some who respects customers with even the slightest of respect.

Daniel O.

Yelp
Ok so they are short staffed like a lot of restaurants and it took a long time for the food to come out. Be prepared to wait. The food was good and fairly priced. 4/5 stars because it's a good place for a bite to eat in the middle of Paia but I wouldn't call it stellar.

Martha S.

Yelp
One star because zero is not an option. I arrived and was told to return in 10 min for outdoor seating, while several outdoor tables were available. I returned and was seated promptly. I called on the host a couple times to place an order for starters and drinks but was totally ignored. Finally the waitress took our order and starters all at once. Starters came out well with drinks. However our food took about 30 min to come out. When it finally did it was brought out by the host and the food was cold. We told her about it and asked for it not to be microwaved. After waiting for about 10 min we decided to leave. When I asked the waitress for the bill for the drinks and starter she said your food is being warmed. I said i no longer want it. Another thing I wasn't happy about was the waitress never checked or even acknowledge about our food issue. The table across from us arrived after and had finished eating before our meals came out. I drove from Kihei and didn't even eat.

Vivi B.

Yelp
Wow. Some of the best mahi I have had in a while. The greens are farmer market fresh. They make the sesame ginger dressing. They even have their own hot sauce! Service is top notch. Fast & friendly service, delicious food, with great portions and at the right price point. On the road to Hana....

Amelia M.

Yelp
This spot offers indoor and covered outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and it's in a great location if walking around Paia. We arrived a bit too early for happy hour but it looks like they have some good happy hour options. Although we didn't get a meal, their nachos and quesadillas looked delicious!

Mike R.

Yelp
Aloha! It's been our first visit to Maui since celebrating Thanksgiving 2019. After a year and a half getting through a global COVID19 pandemic and grounded in San Francisco with headed to our collective "Happy Place". With vaccines, COVID19 test passed before departure from the mainland and our mask secured we ventured back to Pa'ia. We did some early afternoon browsing on the main street. It was great to see many shops and restaurants survived the close down. It's was note Pa'ia Fish Market was pack with a line outside the door. We love the place and its usually our last spot before heading back home. However, we had heard from a local Pa'ia resident we met in Kaanapali about Maligros. So we crossed the street to the quite Mexican restaurant. We were told by the kind hostess there would be an hour wait but could be as soon as 30 minutes for our group of two adults and two "straving teenage boys". She recommended we be back in 20 minutes. We continued strolling the street of this throw back era surfing town and promptly got back 20 minutes later. Eureka! We were seated outside and our server Sara was incredible! She was wear sequence mask that got my wife's eye. Sara said her friend sells them and after taking our drink order returned with "bag o masks". We placed our orde and began examining the beautiful mask and made it into a game. My wife asked for her "contestants" her husband (me) and our son and his friend to "vote" on which mask we liked best. When our food arrived we had narrow the mask to 3. As we began eating our selections we were fully amused, laughing and relaxed. I order the mix salad with blackened Mahi Mahi with fresh cherry Tomatoes, cucumbers, Maui sweet onions and a seame vignette dressing. It was excellent! My wife order two soft tacos. The beef and chicken looked wonderful and she really enjoyed them. Our and his friend both ordered burrito bowls that they enjoyed. Overall it was a relaxing late lunch made even better but Sara's friendliness and Aloha hospitality If you are ever in Pa'ia make sure to check out Maligros and say hi to Sara! Mahola!

Ruchelle T.

Yelp
We stopped by Paia town on our way home to Lahaina and this was the place we chose to have happy hour. Our server, Lindsay was super nice and she made sure our food and drinks were to our liking. I would recommend this place for a pit stop!

Justine K.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The portions are large so be ready to share. I got a pulled pork quesadilla and it was packed full of pork and cheesy. My friends got the mahi mahi tacos and mahi mahi fajitas and it was so so so very good. The fish was light and flaky and seasoned perfectly for Mexican food. We drank the 5 dollar happy hour margaritas and they were okay, but there were 5 dollars so we were happy with them. Our server Daniel was hilarious and spent time getting to know us and welcome us to the island. He is a shining gem of this restaurant and any manager would be happy to have him employed here.

Lynda M.

Yelp
The service was excellent. Wasn't that much of a wait at all for the delicious meal the blackened mahi, mahi sandwich was so good french fries and coleslaw was delicious. I had the Cadillac margarita which was really good. I will be back.

Megan D.

Yelp
Heck yes go here. The Upcountry Martini. Organic Green Salad sesame ginger dressing, blackened chicken. Perfect meal. Great staff and service!

Kelly H.

Yelp
We were on our way to Mamas Fish house but decided to go a bit early and look around Paia town so glad we did! We shopped around and still had over an hour before our reservation so we decided to stop here for drinks and some chips and salsa so glad we did! The staff was so inviting and incredibly kind. Sometimes when you go into an eatery just for a "snack" they aren't that Friendly and can't wait for you to go but not this place! It's small and quaint and the staff was so nice highly recommend can't wait to go back for dinner next time in Maui!!

Sue N.

Yelp
Paia is crazy busy and the parking is terrible but when you can, stop at Milagros for a refreshing beverage and maybe a snack! My SIL got the tacos which were yummy but my quesadilla made me HAPPY! I needed this snack as I was not feeling my best and hangry... all of the other places had lines out of the door, Milagros was busy but they had room!

Food M.

Yelp
10 minute wait just for the hostess to show up at the check in podium with open tables that we saw was open. Finally walked across the street to Paia Fish Market. Had incredible lunch

Tatyana S.

Yelp
I really like Mexican food but that is what I ordered in this restaurant: margaritas and fajitas with shrimp , I could not finish. I'm very disappointed. Hope they improve their quality .

Shatakshi G.

Yelp
Delicious tacos and burritos for vegetarians. The salsa and roasted veggies are super flavorful. Large portion sizes and reasonable price. Great location in the heart of Paia city. Super quick service as well. Drinks are not that great as per my experience but we didn't try many so not fully sure.

James D.

Yelp
Classic American cheeseburger is on point. Staff is down to earth and chill.

Billie P.

Yelp
The food was wonderful, speedy service and not so high priced!! love sitting outside and enjoying the Island

Jun S.

Yelp
Food and drinks are great. Service is superb! Will come back soon. Highly recommended

Rachel V.

Yelp
Delicious food, nice staff and a great happy hour! Ordered the mahi mahi burrito (wet) and it was to die for!

Chrissy P.

Yelp
After an afternoon drive exploring upcountry we stopped here for a late lunch. Cute patio right on a busy corner was good for people watching. The food is Tex-Mex style which means they offer entrees with ground beef. Be prepared to pay for a small basket of chips and salsa ($5). Prices were reasonable and they serve good sized portions. The salad was fresh and the sweet onion dressing was definitely the one I buy at Costco. The tacos were packed full of meat and fresh toppings and the rice and beans ok. Not the best Mexican meal I've had by far, but the meal did it's job. Our server was very friendly and attentive too.
