Food was really good. No question about the food.
The service was absolutely terrible. Check says our server was Josh P.
We waited 10 minutes just for the waiter to come to the table and simply greet us. Yes, we understand he could’ve been busy — that happens — but even after that, he kept a constant attitude. Never checked on us. Took order, brought food, got checks. This is it. again - it is busy, but at least don’t be rude and don’t give an attitude.
The menu clearly states that a 20% gratuity is automatically included only for parties of 6 or more people. We were 5 people, and we always leave tips because we all work in restaurants ourselves and understand the importance of it. But he already included gratuity for our bill.
We asked for the separate checks at the very beginning. at the end when we asked for the check responded that it would take 10–15 minutes just to bring the bills.
We also asked for to-go boxes, which he never brought.
When it came time to pay, every check had 20% automatically added. he said it was because we ordered drinks during happy hour. I told him again — this is not written anywhere on the menu, and you cannot charge customers for something that is not disclosed.
Instead of apologizing, he said:
“Oh, so you’re not gonna tip 20% or what?”
And when we explained the situation, he added again with attitude:
“Oh, so you’re not gonna tip 20% or what?” — with zero professionalism.
As someone who works in the restaurant industry, this triggered me even more. We are not against tipping — we are against being charged for something that was never stated, and then being pressured.
No respect for customers, no hospitality, no professionalism.
