Dylan, Dublin, Ireland - Explore & Book

"If the exquisite Victorian exterior didn't tell you so already, stepping through the doors into this luxurious, laidback hotel confirms its status as a grande dame for the 21st Century. Everything feels finessed, as if all the best elements of design from bygone eras have been brought together here, creating the last word in contemporary glamour. Dazzling gold detailing in the bar, an original fireplace in the lobby, modern art on the walls, fringed lampshades and velvet settees. It shouldn't work all together, but boy does it. You might be drawn in by the style, but it's the substance that makes you want to stay for good: staff who beam while they work, putting in the effort to make you feel at home; a restaurant that wows with its elevated European cuisine; cosseting rooms where your contentment comes first, from the 7th Heaven beds (which are just as good as they sound) to drenching rainfall showers. This is the hotel of choice in Dublin for excellent service, stunning food and superb, no-holds-barred comfort. Highs Gastronomic heaven - fine dining, creative cocktails, a long wine list, and an amazing breakfast Immaculate, helpful staff exemplify the hotel motto 'Good Service with Style' A great location, 15 minute walk away from the busy city centre in a quiet leafy sidestreet Distinctive design with extremely comfortable beds and comprehensive tech This is the place to be seen at weekends, and the terrace is a treat in summer Lows You'll need to book in advance for a weekend table at their popular restaurant Not in the heart of town, but more peaceful as a result Although there have been some reports of late-night noise from a nearby pub Not to be confused with (unrelated) The Dylan Amsterdam!" - Nadine Mellor

Would not go again. For starters, the menu is too long and with like 50 things you could choose from (maybe more) and it feels overwhelming to choose something. Nobody helped us.. they didn't seemed understaffed and it wasn't packed that day. I don't remember the names of the pizzas that we chose but the flavour was alright, nothing exceptional. Too thin and was falling apart. And they don't cut your pizza, you have to do it yourself.. which I don't get or appreciate. Since I want to eat "right away" when I'm served and I'm paying 20€ for a pizza, you would think that it would come cut. The service wasn't much better. The waitress that took our order was nice, but talked under her breath and we couldn't hear. The waitress that served our pizzas was very nice tho. And the waiter that served us for the rest of the night was rude.. interrupted us to ask if everything was okay when I had a whole slice in my mouth, would talk loud and when we asked for the bill it took him more than 10min to give it to us (it was just 4 or 5 tables full and with the rest of staff there I don't think he was serving them all). The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but they seated us near the doors and they were always opening them cause of the deliveries and then we would get cold from the street entering every 5 min.

Our service in this restaurant was extremely bad, our server Marco was impertinent on another level! My friend asked for a cosmo Spritz (one of the basic cocktails- vodka, cranberry and lemonade), Marco replied with “don’t have” and just stood there staring at us, not giving any recommendation on what he could have. Two of our plates then came out leaving us waiting for the third plate while our other food went cold. My pizza was also not cut which is a minor issue but I was then not provided a pizza cutter. When our lasagna came out, the plate was chipped and on a closer look the area of the chip was burned and charred. We then asked Marco if he could heat up our chips as they were undercooked, Marco stared at us, and said "are you sure". overall the food was average for the price but the service was horrific. Marco should consider working in a "Karen restaurant" considering how cold and rude he was to us.

Lovely Italian restaurant with great seating over looking the water. Service was great and pizzas were brilliant.

Milano pizzeria, Italian restaurant located on 1-2 haddington road Dublin overlooking the Grand canal.so me and my partner went last week to try out there pizzas. we got a nice friendly welcome & a nice table there we got to meet Marco the manager nice guy & got chatting with him.when ordering I had to tell him that my partner has allergies to eggs & nuts he was super cool about this. He explained our options telling us all about there style of pizzas they do @ milano we decided to go for the duo romana pizza a thin crispy base I ordered the half margarita half American hot and my partner ordered the margarita and the second half parma ham fresh red onion, the texture quality and taste of these pizza was amazing there high quality ingredients just made it.The taste of the margarita with there 100% Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella & the parma ham fresh red onion, just so good The American hot pepperoni, mozzarella, paprika for a smoky flavor & hot jalapeno peppers delicious I really enjoyed there style of pizza,I can't wait to go back to try there Italian "calzone" next time. Quality & taste: excellent Value for money: good

Google
Very good restaurant and delicious 😋 amazing pizza 🍕. They had a 1+1 pizza scheme and it was very good deal 😋. Staff is nice and helped me to choose correct pizza as per my taste and vegetarian preference. This is very big restaurant and they also have a huge seating outside. If one pays 2.5 euro extra they get a roman base pizza 🍕 which is must try.

Google
Food was good. Not worth the cost but good. The service was some of the worst I have ever had. We walked in and the host looked at us like a deer in the headlights and just stared. We had to tell him what we wanted, rather than being greeted. Then our server seemed incredibly clueless. Not even a minute after dropping off a steaming, boiling plate of lasagna he asks if it's good... upon finishing our plates we are ready for the bill which we wait for awhile to receive. I have my card in had to give to him, which he ignores and sets down the bill anyway. So we wait for him to come back to pay. If not for the food being decent I would give it 1 star.

Juan was the best waiter, at Haddington Road location. He was polite and kind to us and our 1 year old baby. He checked on us frequently and we had the best meal as a result.

We came exactly one year ago in this restaurant, and Andrew offered us a cocktail with whiskey and ginger ale, One year later, we come back at the same place and we ordered six of these cocktails it became a trend thanks to Marco for reminding us If ever you come to Dublin, you have to come to this place. The pizzas are wonderful.

Yelp
Good pizza, and amazing service. I think it would be a 4.5 star experience but I wanna round up because it was nicer than expected and because of service. Vibes are great.

Yelp
We just finished a 4 hour walking food tour of Dublin and were walking back to our hotel looking for a quiet place away from the crowds to have 1 drink. We saw Milano had a nice patio, with minimal people, on the river so sat outside. We ordered our drinks, both on the menu but they didn't have them so ordered different drinks for both. We were asked if we wanted food by our waiter twice, we said we were just having a drink as we're so full, she walked away both times. The manager then came by and got extremely angry with us saying that this is not a bar and they don't have a license so we have to order food as well. We did not know the laws in Dublin so it was odd he was so angry with us and speaking with a lot of disrespect. No one told us we needed to order food until he yelled at us. Since we were stuffed full already, we really didn't want food but conceded and ordered a side salad. When leaving he didn't even thank us for coming or say bye to us (we were one of the few people there...). Just thought there was no reason to treat a guest like that and how are we supposed to know the restaurant laws in Dublin on our 2nd day in the country. It left a very bad taste in our mouth and we were very disappointed in the unfriendly service.

Yelp
We love Milano's pizza as a family destination. However, I have officially been disappointed one too many times by the insane discrepancy between what the menu advertises and what shows up to your table on a plate. Our family ordered a side plate of breaded chicken. It was €8.95. We assumed it would be a few strips of breaded chicken we could split with our pizza. When it arrived it was literally three small chicken nuggets. Each one maybe the size of a cherry tomato, with some spinach leaves to fill out the plate... for €8.95.... Three chicken nuggets.... Need I say anymore ?? It was embarrassing if anything. The pizza is delicious. Why do silly things like this to the menu? I do think it's misleading to advertise breaded chicken for €9 and serve three small chicken nuggets on a plate... it felt scammy. Dublin is getting so bad with prices on eating out but this was actually offensive. We thought maybe it was even an accident or something jus to give them the benefit of the doubt. But sadly I think it is actually what they meant to serve us :(

Yelp
100% average. Sat there trying to enjoy the good location next to the river only to be constantly interrupted by unruly kids running around tipping chairs over , lots of them, screaming and trowing items into the river... pizza, plastic containers, and a couple of juice boxes... whilst being watched by the equally ignorant parents. Apparently it was "ok because it is the head chefs kids" .... oh ok then, thats fine. Grow sone respect for your patrons and develop some respect for the ambiance and environment, no? The food was below par, greasy and flavourless. Wont be running back. The 'extra' star was for the pleasant server... you should work somewhere that people have a great time... this is a better atmosphere for promoting good tips!

Yelp
Oh my goodness this is THE best gluten free and dairy free pizza I have ever had. I was searching for places to go that had gluten and dairy free menu options and decided on Milano. I chose the barbacoa pizza on a gluten free crust with vegan cheese (pictures). They even have a dairy free, gluten free AND vegan dessert. Spoiler alert: it's carrot cake. I decided to skip dessert this time so I have an excuse to go back later this week! Despite being busy I was helped very quickly. My waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about what was and wasn't gluten free. She helped me decide on both my drink and pizza selection and I absolutely loved both! If you're looking for a place that has dairy free, gluten free or vegan options but is still delicious-- Milano is the place! HOWEVER, their kitchen does have the potential for cross contamination, so if you have a very serious reaction/ allergy to gluten be cautious.

Yelp
Great waitstaff! Very attentive. The gluten free pizza with sloppy vegan was ok. The wee carrot cake was good. Great salad!!

Yelp
This is my first visit to Milano. I had just had some Indian food, but remembered that they offered Gluten Free desserts. So I popped in. I ordered the Eton Mess 'Milano' It is fresh strawberries in a fruit Coulis with vanilla gelato and topped with a berry meringue and fresh mint. I don't eat desserts very often, but I am traveling and I figured when in Ireland..... Milano has plenty of seating inside and there is a huge terrace to the side. It looks like it easily seats over a hundred outside. They have multiple locations and offer several different gluten free options. The dessert is okay. It's very sweet, is mostly gelato, and the coulis is more like a jam. I found the meringue didn't really fit. It looks interesting in writing but would be much better with more strawberries instead. Too many textures competing against each other

Yelp
Great service, great drinks, and great food. I had the lasagna and it was the best I have ever had. The cheese is creamy and is just full of flavor. As an appetizer my husband and I had the dough balls and even though I wasn't fond of the choice, I was very happy when it came out. It included 3 spreads: pesto, roasted red pepper, and a garlic butter tasting one. I'm a very picky eater and enjoyed all 3.

Yelp
Am I missing something... What is with the Milano obsession that took over Dublin. Their pizza's are ok, definitely NOT amazing. Having experienced authentic Italian pizza abroad this place just doesn't sing to me. They are big and more than enough to share with someone with the additional of a side or a salad. Also, as a couple dining... I so sometimes question why hosts do what they do, so we are couple who come in midweek for a dinner together, with plenty of tables free they choose to sit us beside a busy table of 5 which included, 2 parents and 3 young children, the kids were noisy and up/down out of their seats every 5 seconds... Is this were a couple want to be seated for a quiet midweek meal, especially given there was plenty other areas to seat us? When we asked to be moved, the waiter wasn't too happy... When he 'struggled' to find us alternative seating we got asked to follow him, we had to grab out drinks, menu and jackets bags within 0.5 seconds as he marched fast away; no notion of a helping hand or at least give us a sec before you expect us to follow you at lightening speed.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place walking from our hotel. We sat outside on their wonderful patio overlooking the canal. We ordered a glass of rosé and a Jameson, both were yummy! We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, a mixed salad and the "American Hot" pizza. None of them disappointed! The bruschetta was fresh and delicious! The bread was fresh baked, it was topped with diced tomatoes and the most delish pesto. The salad had mixed greens, tomatoes and cucumbers, and a delicious vinaigrette. The pizza had perfectly thin crust with pepperoni and spicy peppers. We loved everything about our dinner!!

Yelp
A good pizza place. Big enough to accommodate groups of people and easy to walk-in on most days. Nice outdoor seating by the canal side on a sunny day! Their salads are awesome! Loved Bosco salad and Super-food salad. A bit on the expensive side though considering there are other good pizza places. But I would recommend checking deals on http://www.milanooffers.ie beforehand. For sure, it will save you some money! I wish they had these offers on their own website. I mean it isn't that obvious, we were told about it by one of their servers and you could get the deal then and there if you can access internet on your phone.

Yelp
Milano's, they seem to be everywhere but considering this one is just on my doorstep on Baggot St., it's the one I've visited the most. Anyway, the location is great, especially with some nice seating out by the canal, if its summertime and actually warm out then you can't beat anything as romantic as this. The inside is nice too and the place has a real feeling of class that you'll really appreciate. The staff have always been friendly too and will have a bit of banter with you. So what's the food like? Well we hit a bit of a roadblock here, the food is GOOD, there's no denying that. Last time we ordered a few pizzas as well as an antipasto platter. The platter is nice with a good assortment of meats, olives, cheese etc. The pizzas, although huge, seemed to be really lacking in the toppings department. And as thin as the pizzas were, they just weren't thin enough for my liking, but that really does depend on how much you like dough in your pizzas. You'll come out feeling like it was decent food but just missing a little something-something. We also come to the problem of the prices. Milano's is expensive, there's no other way to say it. The pizzas are usually above the €15 range with starters being between €5-€10. As a person who ate amazing €10 pizza from Skinflint (Temple Bar) in the past 2 weeks, Milano's prices jumped out at me in a bad way. In short: A great place if it's warm out and you want to sit out by the canal, the food will do fine but don't expect it to be cheap.

Yelp
This is the newest opened Milano's to hit Dublin (I think!). I've been here once or twice for lunch with my office and the restaurant itself is nice. The pizza is standard Milano food - the same you get in all the others. It's nice, not out of this world, but does the job. One thing I will say is that if you don't like pizza or the handful of pasta and salad options on the menu, you're kinda screwed. For example, my boss is celiac and was very limited in what he could have. We got around it, but it's not ideal. Also, they don't take reservations, which drives me up the wall, but I guess this particular location is quite big, so chances are you'll get a table. I also really like their outside area too overlooking the canal...that's if the weather is nice of course!
google avatar

Steinunn J.

Yelp
I wouldn't go here especially for the food but if you're meeting a large group for lunch, half of them are smokers and you need a menu where everyone can find something that pleases, Milano would be a good pick. The pizzas are ok and the salads (have had both the Nicoise and chicken caesar) are well portioned, but I would like to see a bit more quality for the price I pay. The real draw of this place is the outside dining area. Plenty of tables, "beautiful" canal-view and a great place to linger on a sunny day. For a after-work bottle in good company, it's one of the nicer hideouts in the city.

Yelp
The food is really good and fast service. I got the calaveras pizza and it was to die for! Absolutely will be coming back here

Lecia S.

Yelp
This is a great place for a tasty dinner. Great service, and fabulous food. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area where you can watch the canal boats drifting by. The ambiance is casual, and the servers very attentive. The food is very well presented and delicious. We had dinner here twice while in Dublin. Wish I was there right now!!

Yelp
We have a child - a well documented and fairly inescapable fact (Though I have tried on occasion). This is something we forget about sometimes and are reminded only by the look of horror on a waiters face as we grace an establishment with our presence, 2 year old in tow, leaving a trail of destruction in our wake. It comes then as a HUGE relief when we go to Milano who have baby-proofed themselves. There is an arsenal of colouring books, high chairs, straw cups and menus tailored to make a parents visit more than tolerable - it is almost pleasant to dine with the off-spring here. The food is overall basic but tasty. The only gripe I would have is the new thin pizza base that all the staff have been told to up-sell, it costs an extra 1.75 for the chef to spin the base an extra couple of times - a bit of a swizz! None the less I wouldn't fault them for it - or at least get carried away with it. An enjoyable, relaxed and pleasant experience, recommended whether you have a child or not!

Yelp
Was there for lunch yesterday. Service was not the best, waited too long to order, had to ask for basics like chilli flakes and extra water. Tables around us were not cleared up leaving a very messy place. Pizza pie was good but price too high. 12.60 for pizza with 4 slices is too much. Ask about lunch specials and waiter look at me as if I had 10 heads. I guess baggot street so more expensive.
google avatar

Clive B.

Yelp
Nice Pizza's here for a chain company. They have a good selection of bases as well. The location of this particular restaurant is great right on the canal which means you can sit outside when its sunny as well. Staff were friendly and pretty efficient. Very pricey on drinks though and the pizza's are not cheap, so I have dropped it down a star. The pizzas are probably worth the price ( just about ) but the I remember being outraged at the cost of a soft drink here.

Yelp
I love Milano pizza! It's my favorite. And, this spot is so nice. It's on the Canal and has loads of dining space. If it's nice, sit outside with a couple friends and enjoy the Canal breeze while you munch out on your 'pie'! Otherwise, head towards the rear of the restaurant to get a good spot. I recommend a table away from little ones. (Pizza and little ones can be noisy. Adults enjoying pizza with wine adjacent to little ones can be less than peaceful... ;) Favorites are the chicken pizza with garlic oil and the spicy pepperoni pizza with jalapenos or peperoncinis! Yum :) My boyfriend recommends a Coke with your pizza. But, I recommend a glass of the red house Italian wine. It's only seven Euro and at twice the amount of a Coke it's twice as much fun! Also, if you want to eat healthier, order thin crust with a rocket salad in the middle. It's quite tasty as well! Enjoy!

Yelp
Went for a work lunch yesterday and we were all happy. We emailed our order in advance so service was super quick and we had a voucher for 25% off so everything was super affordable! My American Hot leggera pizza was delicious and a food size for lunchtime. The restaurant is on the canal so the outdoor seating would be lovely for summer. Milano's is always reliable and the staff are friendly to a tee. For UK readers, Milano's is what we call Pizza Express. When the first branch opened on Dawson Street many years ago, the then Lord Mayor of Dublin objected to the name as the restaurant is opposite the Mansion House which is the Lord Mayor's official residence.

Brian P.

Yelp
I've never liked Milano much but I will admit it can be a life saver for crowd pleasing, affordable meals in restaurant surroundings and as a result I've eaten here more often than I'd care to mention. If you're in the neighbourhood for lunch then the best reason to choose Milano is that it has the best outdoor seating area for miles around. Their open-air decking hovers out over the canal and can be a pretty idyllic spot to spend a half hour and it's always bugged me that it isn't owned by a nice coffee shop.

Yelp
Nice setting here in Milanos by the Grand Canal. We were here in summer time, so we could avail of the al fresco atmosphere. Traffic was a bit noisy at times as it goes over the bridge though. We both went for the American Hot Leggera Pizza. Leggera you say? Yeah, a new one on me too. A small thin based pizza with a salad in the middle. Genius. Just what I wanted to be honest. It was tasty too. The staff were pleasant enough, but a bit slow to take our money so had to go to the till as we left to go. The inside looked nice, looking forward to going back and trying out the rest of whats new on the Milano menu.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a Saturday afternoon at about 1:30pm. It was fairly nice that day, so we asked if we could eat outside. The waiter looked at us as if we were crazy for wanting to sit outside, but sat us out there anyway. Granted, it was February, but it was surprisingly sunny and warm that day. We sat outside for about 5 minutes, and no one ever came out to take even a drink order. We came back inside, and decided to sit at a table inside, hoping we would get service. The waiter nodded to which table we could sit at, and so we sat. And sat... for another 5 minutes before we could even ask for water. Now, I understand it was a Saturday afternoon, but the restaurant was not particularly busy that day. Eventually we placed our order of bruchetta and the Rustichella pizza without Cesar dressing. Once our food was ordered, it did come out quite quickly. The bruchetta was not what I am used to getting when order a bruchetta from italian restaurants, but was still tasty. The pizza was quite tasty, and I would definitely order it again. The food was quite good, but the service was slow. I have eaten at other Milano locations and had quicker service. I would come here again, especially when it's nice and warm out, as they have a patio that overlooks the canal.

Yelp
I always enjoy a bit of aul Milanos. The menu is just expanding every time I go -makes it harder to choose. Had a pizza with goats cheese, rocket, maple syrup, walnuts and panchetta-with rocket piled on top. Oh yes! It was tasty. We sat for a good while chatting with no one bothering us. It was a Tuesday night so wasn't exactly packed but it had a nice bit of atmosphere all the same. The nuts for starter are a must and the goats cheese and chicken salad rocks. I know, you can see a pattern here with the goats cheese but it's a winner. Got a free pizza too with another main so pretty cheap night out all round. I shall be back. Save me some goats cheese, please and thank you!

Yelp
I was here last night with a pal for a bite to eat and a vino to take advantage of the lovely weather we're experiencing in Dublin! We sat outside overlooking the canal and the atmosphere was buzzing; everyone was in a good mood under the summer sun! I had worked here about 10 years ago before it was Milanos and it was strange seeing all the changes, I have to say I preferred the previous design but Milanos is what Milanios is, great food and affordable. We both ordered the Legarro Ameican Hot which is served with salad in the centure as a lighter choice pizza. We also got the polenta fries which were gorgeous washed down with a nice large glass of Shiraz. The service was good, the first waiter we had was a little hyper, which I'm not a fan of when you go for a relaxing meal - they sent over a second waiter who was a little more relaxed and was really lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend their outside dining area! julshiddengems.blogspot.ie

Yelp
Milano (the Irish arm of UK chain Pizza Express) has a few places dotted around Dublin. I've been to the Baggot Street branch a couple of times now. It's in an old bank building that has been impressively refurbished. There's plenty of comfy seating and a really good alfresco area that looks over the canal. Unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired - boring, limp, soggy pizzas and ho-hum pasta are the order of the day here. Both times I've been my pizza has arrived at the table cold and it's taken a bit of assertiveness to get it heated up again! Generally the service has been good. Maybe I've just had bad experiences because the place is always doing a roaring trade.

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE: I didn't check the map pointer - Milano is on the corner of Baggot St and Haddington Rd overlooking the canal (sorry). Popped in for lunch; very airy feel, and excellent outside dining area with views over the canal. BUT, I HATE smokers in restaurants, even when outside... (therefore 3 stars). Food is very good and the lunch 'saver' @ €12.50 for a (limited) main course + drink is excellent value; the remainder of the menu looked quite reasonable too, but I didn't check the drink prices. Service was cheerful if a little haphazard, so all in all a very pleasant visit.

Gary G.

Yelp
Ridiculously expensive pizza. Tasty yes, but €17 for just a takeaway pizza, and the guy in the Baggot Street branch had the nerve to suggest a tip when I came in to collect. No wonder they are in serious debt. There are far better pizza places with reasonable prices elsewhere in Dublin.

Yelp
I've been to Milano twice in so many weeks and as both visits were thoroughly enjoyable I felt it was the perfect place for my first Yelp review. Milano is a chain of pizza restaurants in Dublin with as many as seven branches in the city and surrounds, each with the same menu of pizzas (their speciality), pastas, and salads. My two recent visits to Milano were quite different occasions - Wednesday evening with a gang of good friends and a Friday night with the boyfriend. Let's start with the circle of friends. We visited the Baggot St restaurant on a deliciously sunny evening and enjoyed our antipasti platter of juicy olives, milky fresh mozzarella, perfectly salty parma ham, excellent ciabatta, and sunblushed tomatoes out on their very fine deck. As the sun was shining, and who knew how long it would last, we treated ourselves to a bottle of House Pinot Grigio - an excellent value, fantastically crisp wine and one I would highly recommend if that sun every reappears. I opted that evening for the chicken caesar salad for main course, again down to fact that it felt like summer, and although the quality of ingredients was good, as with all of that Milano has to offer, the portion was just not enough for me and I was left feeling somewhat unsatisfied. To fill this gap I ordered the semi freddo reale for dessert and was pleasantly surprised. It was a fantastically creamy gelato made with nougat and praline, served with a shot of espresso on the side. Perfect individual portion size accompanied by a good strong coffee. Need I say more.... The Friday evening spent with my boyfriend in the Dawson St branch was equally as enjoyable as the friendly affair, albeit somewhat less sunshine oriented. We tucked into some top quality pizza - he had the manly pepperoni offering, and I the goats cheese with caramelised red onion - and had just one bottle of perfectly chilled Peroni beer each. My goat's cheese was excellently complimented by the sweetness of the onion, and as he didn't say much during his pizza, I must be take that to mean it was too enjoyable to put down. As we are both watching out wallets we left it at that - twenty euro each for a meal out on a Friday night is not quickly forgotten. Overall, Milano is a reliable, good value for money eatery displaying good knowledge and quality of ingredients with attentive but relaxed service. This is the kind of place you can go to with friends/lovers, in high heels/trainers, on a Saturday/Tuesday night, and if their consistency and value holds, it is exactly the kind of establishment that will weather out this recessionary storm.

Yelp
I popped along with a group of Vegetarians and some Vegan friends. Although the food was questionably delicious, the staff thou was highly questionable. I was with a group of about 20 or so if even that. Clearly they couldn't handle the amount. Yet the group in Grand Canal Dock after a theatre production, last time, the staff there were very much able to handle the crowds. SO getting back to Baggot St., I first started off with Bruschetta Originale "Milano". I was wanting a vegan version of this. The person opposite me who is a vegan, was helping. I was enquiring with her a few times. I asked the waiter if he knows its vegan, he didn't know the meaning of the word. The bruschetta was lovely. No question. Next was the main which was Veneizan. Now this is a pizza. I assumed it was vegetarian. I only picked it because .30c was being donated to a good cause in Honduras or somewhere. The pizza itself was alrite. The crust was quite hard. Next was onto the the dessert, which was Leggera Sorbet. This was lovely. heheheeh. Out of the whole three, I deliciously enjoyed the Bruschetta. I then enjoyed a delicious Mint Green Tea, that my mate on my previous outing enjoyed. It was heaven. mmmmm

Yelp
Waiting 55 minutes for my main course, service is disgraceful. I have never had this problem with any of the other restaurants. This Milano needs some major work. I will not be going back

Yelp
We decided to visit here for St. Patty's day, HUGE MISTAKE!! As Americans we were EXTREMELY prejudiced against even where we said we would split up into smaller tables. I would love to be able to speak to this restaurant's food, however we never got the chance and I cannot recommend this restaurant to ANY Americans who choose to visit. Pick another Italian restaurant if you need pasta in Dublin!!!

Yelp
Consistently good food and service. The better Milano's of the chain. Very little to fault.

Yelp
Great pizza, excellent service, prime location. What more can I say? They have a pizza for any palate.

Yelp
For a family meal, Milano ticks a lot of boxes. A decent kids' menu, freshly prepared tasty food, a decent variety and friendly, accommodating staff. And if your preference is for pizza that doesn't leave you feeling that you may never move again, Milano is your place, with its thin-bases and fresh dough. The pasta can be a little hit and miss across restaurants, with the arrabiatta sauce here decidedly lacking in chilli, which really is its only function. But the pasta itself is decent, and the lasagne is a staple you can depend upon. The olives are very nice too. We - a party of 12 - got slightly caught in crossfire when the restaurant was hit by an unexpected customers surge, soon after 5000 starving people were released from an event in the nearby RDS, which clearly Milanos hadn't bargained for. First off, our booked table had been inadvertently given away to another party of 12, so we weren't off to the best start. And before too long, a general sense of panic was palpable, with too few chefs doing the equivalent of an intense a workout trying to get food served up, and increasingly hassled-looking staff doing their very best to manage it all. As happens in these circumstances, it's hard to keep everyone happy, and the kids in our party were the main collateral damage as their order got lost. For the row of adults sitting with their backs to that table, this wasn't too much of a problem. For those of us in view of the kids' pale, protesting faces, however, it became something of a stress point. In fairness to Milano, though - and for my money in a customer-centred response not at all in keeping with the general approach in Dublin, where in the worst of circumstances you'd do well to get your chips removed from the bill - they entirely recognised the problems, and were more than generous in how they dealt with it. And more than that you can't ask for, because all restaurants have their tricky days, and for a customer the stress of being on the receiving end of that is only compounded when the restaurant fails to take responsibility. Based on how our experience was handled - because ultimately to food was A-ok and the wine was flowing - I wouldn't hesitate to give Milano Haddington Road another chance.

Yelp
I usually only eat out at lunch time once or twice per month. Often when I do I come to this Milano. I find that the pizzas are good (suits me), and there seems to be a reasonable selection of non-pizza (ie. pasta) dishes to suit the non-pizza-loving people I've been here with. There is a wide choice of pizzas the menu and they are happy to make substitutions (or additions/deletions) of toppings. This place will neither blow you away, nor disappoint you.

Yelp
When it comes to Milano, I see it as a necessary evil. Not quite Italian fast food, not quite worth the prices, just average overall. Great for groups and families as there is something there most everyone will like. But really. If you have other options, go elsewhere.

Yelp
Try the rusticella , with the caesar dressing , sounds like it shouldn't work , but it's amazing

Yelp
Love this place...great pizza every time! We go here almost every Friday night to enjoy their 500 calorie Leggera which is a lovely thin crust pizza with a whole in the middle that is filled with salad greens! The best of both worlds! They also have classic pizza, lovely salads and delicious desserts! There are a few Milano's in the area, but we like this particular spot the best. They have seating outside, great service and never have to wait for a table! Give it a try!!

Yelp
I had a pretty dismal experience in this restaurant. In fairness to the place, it was a busy lunchtime when I was there. I wasn't too impressed with the place though. The sevice was very slow and some of the food was cold when it arrived at the table. Its not the best feeling when you are starving and waiting an hour for a salad and a pizza. I have eaten in a different Milanos and it wasn't as bad so hopefully it was just a bad day. They dont even serve chips!!! What pizza place doesn't sell chips?! It's a nice place though and nice for a chat and catch up with friends, but don't go if you are hungry because you might be waiting awhile!!!!

Yelp
The worst food in my one-week stay in Dublin. The pizzas my friend and I had (spinach something and America) were too bland and tasteless. They're really pricey for what we had. I'm not sure why it was busy. The service was ok although I had to get my water from the tap near my table twice.
