Milimani Backpackers

The place is very nice! With a good management team. We stayed there for 5 days. Everything was ok like as it was described. I recommend the place 90% if u are working on budget while in Nairobi. they are friendly and understanding people. They listen to all clients no matter the challenge. Quick service delivery. The place is located in a secure environment surrounded by green nature! Trees and sometimes u see small monkeys moving in trees. Florence and the rest of the staff were great, I stayed here 3 times on my travls around Kenya. The place is a bit run down and basic, but fine for backpackers and it's kept pretty clean. Great communal areas and friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is ok but pretty basic, the evening dinner usually vegetarian is really tasty and very cheap. Thanks Florence.

Nice place for a short stay in Nairobi. Relatively cheap to the other options in town. Double room for couples is very small but nicely located in the garden. At night you might hear the local dogs give a concert. Personnel is very friendly and breakfast is good. Also very safe and in a nice neighbourhood!

My family of 4 stayed here at the beginning of our Kenya trip. The staff at Milimani picked us up at the airport with no problem. Our room, which slept 4, was spacious and had its own bathroom with a decent shower and hot water. The food at Millimani was good and affordable and the staff and guests were very friendly. The grounds were beautiful. Additionally, Uber drivers had no problem finding the location. I would stay here again!

Basic accommodation in nice quiet neighbourhood. Welcoming and helpful staff. A lady in reception was nice and gave a lot good recommendations regarding what to do and see in Nairobi. Special thanks to Patricia and our guide, who made the five-days safari to a super experience. We really enjoyed every single day of it. He was really experienced and knew so much about the animals and local life and was a great driver as well. Thank you!! Recommend.

Me and my family and I stayed here for 2 nights for our stop in Nairobi. We ordered airport pick up through the hostel which was on time and waiting out the front of the airport down the little ramp near the road. |Once we arrived at the hostel at 6am and after a long connecting flight Nathan the young guy on reception was very welcoming and offered us a spare room to rest until we could check in at 10.30am|The hostel is lovely, clean & spacious. Our room had a private bathroom and a big balcony. The staff were always around keeping the place tidy and to offer any advice. |Milimani is in a super safe gated area on Karen. We loved our stay here and are looking forward to returning after our safari. |

Staff here go above and beyond to help you. They were able to answer all of my questions and help me get around Nairobi. Place is very clean and in a very safe area of Nairobi. Prices are affordable. Bring earplugs as neighborhood dogs like to bark at night.

We got scammed by the management of this place when organizing a day tour through Nairobi. ||||We agreed on a fixed price for a driver for a day trip with our group. Upon return the hostel wanted us to pay more than the agreed price. When we refused to pay, they locked the gate so we could not get out. As we were very much in a hurry to catch our plane, we paid the additional amount of $20 in order for them to open the gate. I felt very uncomfortable in this situation and think they were very being very unfair.||||I would recommend not going to this place.
