Oh my gosh, I was so pleasantly surprised to find such good ice cream during our Big Bend trip. The owner was working and was very friendly and comes from several high end restaurants where she was the dessert expert. We got the Tiramiso Parfait and the Mango madness and a pint of honey lavender ice cream to go. Both sundaes were fantastic and we were both so happy. We do wish we had gotten a different to go ice cream as it wasn't bad but not as good as the other things we had there.

Been twice in the last 3 days. These ice creams are DELICIOUS!! I had the Brownie sunday first, and today I got the non-dairy pineapple, and let me tell you, it was INCREDIBLE. I literally couldn't stop eating it!! If you're in Terlingua, you've gotta try Milky Way Treats!!

Google
really excellent customer service and great ice cream! lots of different options including shakes, floats and pints! i got a cold brew float and it was so good! location is beautiful and easy to find, also near a bustling bar/pub with great live music.

Really hit the spot after hiking all day! The Tropicana was my favorite with pineapple soft serve, fresh berries and candied lemon peel. We loved it so much we came back for pints of the grape sherbert and the Vietnamese coffee. You gotta give them a try when in town 😋

Google
Best ice cream in town! Soft serve is homemade. I got the Hot Fudge Birthday Brownie because it was my birthday! So so tasty. Extensive menu to choose from and the woman who helped us was so friendly and passionate. Note: if you are taking your ice cream sundae home with you instead of eating it on the spot, it will melt and likely leak all over your car 😅 in the brown paper bowl it was served in (pictured), the melted ice cream leaks through the corner folds. Didn’t take away from how much enjoyed this place! Highly highly recommend!

Google
Delicious ice cream and super kind service! I was short a dollar or so and the sweet ladies are told me not to worry so I wouldn’t miss out on a delicious treat. Their kindness was so appreciated! Will always go when in Ghosttown (and hopefully next time with the correct amount of $ lol)🍦

Google
What a spectacular place! The ice cream we shared was spectacular. Eat your meals elsewhere but finish it with this ice cream stop.

Google
Cute little ice cream trailer serving dessert in the desert. They even have dairy free options! I had the Tropicana which consisted of dairy free strawberry soft serve, fruit, candied lemon peel and a berry sauce. It was delicious and a super generous portion, you could probably split one between two people. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
The sundaes are really good, but keep in mind they use the soft serve. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, just be aware of it. The true amazing thing at Milky Way isn't the flashy photos of the cones or sundaes, but it is the pints of true homemade ice cream. I'm a homemade ice cream snob and a lot of places that do "home made" ice cream is anything but. The Milky Way pints are true home made custards and are VERY good. So yes, get a sundae for the photo. And they are good. But get a pint of that homemade ice cream and really treat yourself.

Yelp
Creative sundaes and desserts plus large servings! Our group shared several items and everything was very tasty.

Yelp
Workers were chatty and passionate about the town. They even offered suggestions for the area. It's located in a great spot, next to Dead Hungry & Starlight, which both have good food. Myself and my two friends both loved our orders. If you want a sweet treat, you have to stop here.

Yelp
The best ice cream. So good. I just got a plain cone and it was awesome. I wish it were open more hours. It's open evenings only. But I'm not complaining.

Yelp
Fun converted food truck in Terlingua Ghost Town. We headed over here after lunch and a morning/afternoon of exploring the Ghost Town. We arrived 15 mins before they opened but we were kindly greeted and told they were getting ready but would open up a little earlier for us. While we waited a bit, we explored the ruins at the campground next door. Their menu consists of soft serve with lots of fun toppings and additions. Also have shakes and pup cups. The Sundae Specials Menu with fun and creative sundaes/"parfaits" drew me in. I had a hard time narrowing it down but decided on the "Tiramisu Parfait." Such a good choice. The layers of deliciously soaked lady fingers and vanilla ice cream dusted with cocoa powder was a dream. Their vanilla is so creamy and decadent. Days later and I find myself feeling sad that I live 7 hours away from this magical place. My five-year-old ordered a vanilla and chocolate cone with star sprinkles and had the time of his life devouring eh-ver-y bit. We enjoyed a Willy Nelson sighting, or a local cowboy who looked just like him sighting, who dropped in while we were there and ordered a vanilla cone and shared a friendly greeting. Great local vibe. We took our ice cream across the street to enjoy it while we explored more ruins. A must-stop if you're visiting Terlingua.

Yelp
Unbeatable. We're visiting the park from Austin this week and this is some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I might have to come back just to have the ice cream

Namcy E.

Yelp
The ice cream options were many ... so difficult to pick just one. Servings were large, enough to share but why, you've decided to eat a treat, why share it Really wanted to try the coffee option but it was sold out so went with the tiramisu which did not disappoint. The staff was friendly. So glad we came upon this place.

Yelp
Best desert in the dessert! Cute little ice cream trailer. Loved that they had dairy free options. 10/10 recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great way to end our day! The vanilla soft serve with hot fudge was great, and the women working the trailer were so nice. Great spot with great views.

Yelp
Such a gem!! They have so many options and everything we ordered was delicious!! Definitely leave some room after dinner to get some dessert here, it's a must while in town! The lady that owns it was great as well super friendly.

Yelp
I loved the ice cream. I got a medium soft serve and I think it was a good size. A lot of options for toppings and there are example combinations for people to choose from as well. The view was amazing. The woman we spoke to was very nice and inviting l. I will say though their hours are kinda random depending on what week it is. Like spring break they're open every day but I think they're only open three days a week other than that. I'm not honestly sure. But amazing place.

Yelp
Strawberry soft serve is dairy free and the vanilla soft serve is delish! Both 10/10.

Yelp
Yep yep. Legit dessert in the desert stop. Great service and plenty of choices on menu. Noticed they also have a pup cup option for Fido. ENJOY!!

Yelp
We loved being able to visit this spot to get ice cream while we were staying in Terlingua. We went two nights in a row! The servings are huge and the staff is friendly. Although they only had vanilla soft serve while we were there (besides the flavors you can buy by the pint), there was a ton of toppings to pick from which is so fun. They have an area where you can sit and eat or we took ours and ate it while we walked around town.

Yelp
Delicious, super creamy soft serve, and super friendly vibes. The dairy free pineapple soft serve was so refreshing, and I loved the funfetti sundae with upside pineapple funfetti cake! One of the most fun food stops on our road trip.

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Our local Jeep guide recommended this soft serve food truck. There's some parking and a few cute tables and chairs. We went yesterday and tried both the lemon crazy sundae and snickerdoodle sundae, both delicious. Their topping combos are great and the homemade soft serve tastes like a rich vanilla ice cream. Liked it so much we went back tonight and tried the strawberry shake and caramel shake. They were just as good, if not better. Service was quick and friendly. Wish we could bring them back home with us!

Yelp
This place is great to visit after hiking for the day in Big Bend. Lots of creative desserts to choose from.
