Mill End Hotel

This is a lovely little hotel in a picturesque setting with Dartmoor walks and day trips on the doorstep. |From the moment we arrived, we and our 3 dogs (!) were made to feel very welcome. |We had a ground floor, garden room which was great to let the dogs in and out without disturbing other guests. The grounds are lovely, very well maintained and a nice spot to have an evening drink or two! |The dinner was excellent, plenty of choice and everything cooked to order. Breakfast was the same and service as excellent. Doggy diners are seated separately for everyone’s convenience which is a great idea. |We will be back!

An absolutely stunning hotel in the gorgeous countryside. We stayed here for a night and wow what an amazing experience. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding! One of the best evening meals we’ve ever had and the presentation was beautiful. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were sad to leave but will definitely return at some point!

What more can I say than already mentioned in previous review. |Ruffles and I returned for our second visit and my goodness he was so excited to be back. Our room was yet another garden room, this time with bath and so beautiful. The patio was shaded by an apple tree and with this good weather and heat it was very welcome. We walked the walks on our doorstep and Ruffles enjoyed jumping into the river to cool down and have fun. |The hotel was busy inside and out and the staff were brilliant as always, calm and so very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. |Food absolutely top notch and different menu choices each evening. |Breakfast as brilliant as last time .|Thank you everyone for yet another fabulous stay - too short this time - have booked for a longer break in October and Ruffles and I cannot wait xx

This is our go to hotel whenever we head to Devon. We have visited many times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always spotless and the in room tea / coffee is always well stocked (fresh milk in the fridge). The restaurant is excellent with a rolling menu on a daily basis. The quality for food is always superb.|Its a great place to stay if you like walking, as there are some great walks locally without having to move your car. Castle Drogo along the river to Fingle Bridge and the pub etc.|We will return again soon

We went here for an afternoon tea on a lovely sunny day in June. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The setting is super, close to some lovely walks and the garden is beautifully maintained.|The staff were both professional and welcoming and the afternoon tea is one of the nicest I have had.|My husband is a coeliac and his was equally tasty. We took our dog with us and enjoyed a lovely, relaxing couple of hours. |Well worth a visit.

This was our 3rd visit to Mill End Hotel and the experience was as good as ever. the food is excellent with a change of menu every evening, and the breakfasts are all outstanding. The staff are outstanding in all respects.|We were in "Taw", a quiet corner room, although I thought we had booked a Superior double back in February for a late June visit, but forgot to check this when we booked in. However, Taw was just as good.

What a wonderful find. We had a very comfortable relaxing stay at Mill End Hotel. The location was good. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Although they were busy they made time for a chat. The food was absolutely delicious. We are already looking forward to our return visit. Thank you everyone.

First visit here in May, returned August. Our first visit was excellent and proved to be just as good second time arround. Food outstanding , wood pigeon starter ranked one of best starters I've ever experienced. If you are not a dog lover , don't worry , the hotel manages the situation brilliantly-- to everyones satisfaction.
