I just absolutely fell in love with this place. Staff was very kind and helpful. Just opening the door to the room and seeing two dog bowls on the floor for my pup was very heartwarming. I have told family and friends what a wonderful place it is to stay at. I will definitely be staying there again when I visit Sheridan.

Conveniently located just off I-90 within walking distance of plenty of food, the rooms are sparkling clean and very comfortable, fridge and microwave, small table with two chairs, small wardrobe. Very thoughtfully designed and laid out and the theme and history are cute! They offer a limited number of pet rooms for a $30 fee (total, not per pet which was nice) and those rooms included pet food dishes. All rooms lead directly outside. Staff is kind and welcoming. Continental breakfast from 6am-9am, honestly my only recommendation for improvement, as the offerings were sparse in terms of protein. Slices of white bread, a few kinds of cereal, a tub of vanilla yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cups of peanut butter, canned peaches, and a waffle maker. There was coffee and tea too. Nowhere to fill a water bottle, but bottles of water available for purchase for $1 at the desk.

Google
Positive: We enjoyed the history of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and seemed to love the hotel history as well. The room was cozy. Negative: Breakfast wasn't elaborate but we were fine with waffles, fruit and juice/coffee.

Google
This place was amazing and clean. The person helping me was very friendly and helpful. I apologize for an earlier review it was for a different hotel. I would stay here again anytime. I'm a little disabled so I needed a ground floor room if possible, and she got me a sweet on the corner, and at$135.00 a night, I thought it was very reasonable. Thankyou. And please accept my apologies for the earlier comments that I have removed.

Google
Everything was just mediocre and the price was high for mediocre. I will say it was one of the busiest weeks when we stayed there. But the price didn't match the room. Breakfast was pretty decent - make your own waffles with real butter along with some other options. Shawna working the front desk was amazingly friendly and awesome during mad check-in chaos.

Gary

Google
Leaving another review. I have stayed her twice so far and I appreciate the clean and tidy rooms. And the service is good too. Their breakfast is ok if you need something simple before getting back to your travels. I would definitely pick this place again to stay.

Google
The room was Huge and was so quaint and cozy! It’s so hard to find a hotel for a family of 5 that gives you enough space and this was perfect! The beds were cozy and the shower had great water pressure! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful! Check in and check out was a breeze! Highly recommend!

Google
We stopped in Sheridan unexpectedly for a night during a 3 week road trip. We didn’t have a reservation but the front desk staff were really friendly. The 3 queen room suited our family and mountain bikes perfectly. Great air conditioning during a hot July stay. We couldn’t locate a luggage cart, that was our only issue using the elevator/stairs 9-10 times with all our gear from the road trip.

Yelp
We stayed in a condo 12/23-12/26 2024. it was very clean, comfortable and awesome!! highly recommend this Inn. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very reasonably priced.

Dale L.

Yelp
Regardless of the price this is an outstanding find. The entire inn is modern and clean. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff was great from the first phone call to check availability to checkout. I will stay here the next time I come through Sheridan.

Yelp
In middle of Sheridan, Wyoming, a great city. We were in the motel, two floors, no elevator, out door steps only. Difficult for older people with luggage. Did have a continental breakfast. Was clean and staff was friendly.

Bill D.

Yelp
Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price and located right where you want to be and in a former flour mill! Check Booking.com and others for great rates or just give them a call. BTW, the breakfast hits the spot for a quick and easy breakfast.

Daisy B.

Yelp
Clean, spacious room. Clean bathroom. Clean sheets. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer. Breakfast options are toast including peanut butter and jelly, cold cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee.l

Taylor B.

Yelp
Wonderful stay, quaint hotel. Room was spacious and clean! Friendly front desk ladies! Would definitely stay here passing through again!

Yelp
I unexpectedly had to stay an evening in this town and booked a hotel here late in the evening. It's an old hotel and is definitely not anything fancy. I can appreciate the history, although I was just looking for a place to sleep for an evening. It was clean and accommodating.

David L.

Yelp
Converted flour mill......very unusual looking. We upgraded and booked the honeymoon suite with its delightfully retro red sunken bath for two. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and the place did have a little faded charm. I had asked for a quiet room and the receptionist, using her initiative, phoned me on the day to question my room choice as it was right next to the main road. However she reassured me that the concrete walls were thick and that we should not hear much. She was spot on! Good value for money and the place ticked the boxes but I do wish the self service breakfast plates/cups could move on from the very eco unfriendly Styrofoam.

Yelp
Here's the concise version: The front desk staff is very kind and considerate; the breakfast has a wide selection; the rooms are big and comprehensive; the rooms are high quality and cheap; the internet is fast. Now the longer version: We hit a deer and had to go to a Firestone in Sheridan. Next door was the Mill Inn. Being college students, we were apprehensive as we walked through the doors--this looked like a hotel that would charge $100-$130 a night, and we were only prepared to spend about $75-80. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we got a room for only about $75 (before tax)! Ah, we thought. There must be something strange about the hotel... But when we got up to our room, there were two neatly made beds in a rather large hotel room. There was a TV (which we did not try), curtains and blackout curtains, a vanity, a bathroom with a bath and shower, a fridge, a microwave, and fast internet. Everything looked so clean that I felt completely comfortable staying here. We ended up staying two nights. I saw a review on here about the breakfast being bad and I have no idea where that person went, but it wasn't here! The breakfast was great. It's true that there weren't many people there, but the food selection was excellent. It had similar quality to other Continental Breakfasts, but they also included peaches, strawberries, whipped cream, and a donut maker (which I had never seen before and would be great for kids). So our car was supposed to be ready today, but Firestone didn't give us an exact time that it would be ready. Checkout at the MI is at 11am, so we were understandably concerned about where we would put our luggage in the meantime. We talked to the front desk, and they gave us a late checkout and also offered a place to store our luggage in case the car wasn't ready by the time we checked out. They were altogether considerate and kind, working with us to the utmost of their ability. (The first day we were here, we mentioned we were without a car and they offered us a ride.)

Yelp
A historic hotel in the sense that it was once the first flour mill in Wyoming, built in 1920's. Now it has been converted into a nice hotel decorated with fantastic photographs of Indian tribes from the 1880's. The rooms are charming, clean & have all the cable channels. Conveniently located in downtown Sheridan, liquor store across the street, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Does anyone actually consult Yelp in Sheridan, Wyoming? Probably not, but any hotel that has antler chandeliers in the main lobby gets a high rating in my book.

Yelp
I think this is a place I stayed and I'm not positive but if it is it was okay and had good service

Yelp
Upon arriving at the annual moth hatching festival, we quickly realized how lucky we were to be here at just the right time! There were thousands of moths all over everything. The doors, windows, sidewalks, walls, cars and everything you can think of. If you went outside you would have them all over your body and if you opened your door, they would come into your room. Seriously though, this hatch of moths was in much of the WY area we were traveling in but it seemed to be even worse in Sheridan. Of course this is not a fault of the hotel. It was just creepy to have these things crawling all over. Upon checking in we found the first room we were given had a TV that did not work at all. The girl at the front desk didn't seem to really know what to do about that and said she might have to see if she could get a hold of the maintenance man, he was not on property, and see if he could fix it.? This was the week after labor day and there really weren't that many people traveling. In fact I think there may have been a total of 15 people staying in the entire hotel. I then suggested that she move us to a different room. After thinking about it, she decided that would be alright so we moved. I guess it didn't make too much difference since the TV reception was pretty poor. Both of these rooms were not large rooms but decent. The free breakfast was pretty lame and only one other person was there. Waffle and doughnut machine, few cold cereals, toast/bagels, juice and coffee. Maybe bananas, apples or oranges would be nice. The room was very small and I suspect that there would not be much of a turnover for breakfast. Unless you just want some coffee to get yourself started, I would say don't waste your time with this breakfast. Front desk was OK but not overly friendly. The hotel was just OK in our opinion and would probably not stay here again.

Yelp
Yep, this place is totally decent, clean and super cheap. I think I paid a whopping $55 to stay here on a Saturday night. Lots of fast food places around, gas station so you can fill 'er up on your way out. They also have a Continental breakfast. The rooms look a little dated, but they aren't actually- everything is pretty new. It is also super quiet. It's locally owned, so stay here.

Dorothy E.

Yelp
The Mill Inn is a great value for the price and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, convenient place to stay in Sheridan, WY. It had the best rates in town and the added bonus of being unique as it is housed in a former flour/sugar mill! Creative use of a local landmark. Rooms were clean, well equipped and the staff is super-friendly & helpful! Breakfast was provided in pleasant surroundings and was more than adequate. Night clerk, David, was extremely accommodating and offered local information. The only negative was the internet, which was extremely sloooooooow! When I mentioned this to the staff in the morning; they were appreciative and promised to rectify the situation. I'd definitely stay here again & recommend it!

Yelp
Mills Inn was clean, convenient, and really interesting. A sack breakfast was provided for our convenience.

Yelp
Traveling with two kids under 3 and two parents over 60 poses all sorts of problems. Throw in a broken down car and 90+ degree heat and it's pretty much the stuff of horror stories. Enter Mill Inn, a peaceful oasis. We stayed a planned night there on a trip from Montana to Colorado so my mother could have brain surgery. There were no pictures of the room online, so we took a chance on the condo suite. So glad we did! A kitchen to let the kids eat in, a living room so they could spin around until they got dizzy, 2 air conditioned bedrooms and a giant closet for the baby who won't sleep if anyone might be looking at her. The pack n play fit perfectly. The next morning, we check out, load all 5 of us in the car and ..... get about a block away before it stops working. Oh no! When we finally find a place open, they say it will be 2-3 days before they know what's wrong with the car, let alone fix it. Yikes! No rental cars to be had. A quick call back to Mill Inn. Not only is the room available again (thank goodness) but they will let us back in after a quick vacuum. Way before normal check in time. We load back into the room, grandma and the baby go down for naps, and the rest of us try to decide the next step. We ended up not needing the room for the whole night, as the car got fixed (and that's a whole other review!) and we got back on the road. I would have left a 4 star review before this as the breakfast bar is seriously lacking protein (no yogurt, no eggs, no cream cheese. Only peanut butter) but it has a mini doughnut maker. However, the staff made up for that completely.

Yelp
The Best Staff The Best Rates The Best Rest in the West This place is great. The town was full. No rooms anywhere.(Motel 6 wanted $119 for there rooms. So much for leaving the light on) The Mill Inn is the place to stay

Mark A.

Yelp
I was amazed, the price is under $100, the room was clean! I wasn't sure when I checked in because of the price but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The coffee maker was a decent cup of coffee compared to other hotels I have stayed at (see the picture of the coffee it made!). The bathtub was new and clean, the hotel owner appears to want to maintain this place which is a refreshing change.

Jacquelynn D.

Yelp
Great place to stay, I wasn't to sure at 1st because it was on the main road but the front was very inviting. So we decide to go in and check it out. Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, quite area. Glad I decided to stay here Thanks you! Will definitely be back!

Dana H.

Yelp
A great place to stay on a budget cute and cosy old western style decor not real fancy but clean decent rooms at a good price! Free continental breakfast nice friendly staff very helpful I recommend this place too all. Good amenities free breakfast, coffee , creamer, Splenda , and a fridge and microwave and hair dryer in room

Marsha F.

Yelp
Guess its ok for a small town. Front desk staff left a bit to be desired, not that helpful. Some bugs in the front entry of the room. No pool as some of the online info mentioned. It's on a "busy" intersection for Sheridan but not sure what the others are describing as vibrant. Close to a few restaurants and Starbucks. If you need a tire store, there are plenty around!!

Helaina B.

Yelp
The front desk staff was excellent! Very, very accommodating team! I cannot recommend this hotel more. Very sweet hotel. Nice little continental breakfast. Overall very great hotel and extremely convenient to all the shops/restaurants on Main St. (5 minute drive) 10 Stars!

Christina D.

Yelp
We stayed one night at this hotel to break up our drive through Wyoming after reading the other reviews. We arrived around 10pm without a reservation. The woman at the reception desk was very helpful and patient, even allowing us to see a room before checking in. We were very pleased with the cleanliness. The room was simple, but had what we needed, fridge, microwave, coffee... We woke up around 5:30 the next morning to get an early start on our drive, not expecting to be able to benefit from the 6am breakfast that was included in the price, but the man (Sean) who was working that morning already had everything ready and allowed us to eat before we took off. Overall we were very pleased. The only minor thing we weren't thrilled about is that all of the rooms are accessed from the exterior of the building, but we felt it was a safe and quiet area.

Mister G.

Yelp
I went because of good reviews on Yelp, very disappointed. I did not stay but hotel looked nice inside. Reason I did not stay is because of the night desk guy named Sean was the worst attitude and rude that I have ever experienced. I drive for a living all over the nation and this is just poor service. He didn't act like he wanted to be at work and I'm from Texas and trying to be Texan polite and he had a smart remark in a rude way and very dry attitude. I then ask if any discounts for CDL drivers or AAA and he said in a rude way the price is what it is. I'll call and complain tomorrow. Poor employee and bad for business

Mary J.

Yelp
When you are looking for something different and something great this is the property. Small enough to provide you the best of service but large enough for that small family group or business group. You will spend sometime in the lobby just looking at the wonderful decor. The room is done in a Western Style and is so comfortable. Flat Screen TVs and wonderful towels for sure. I really like the the idea that you can just drive up to your door. I highly recommend this place 100 %

Lucy H.

Yelp
It's nice to stay at a locally owned non-chain. The wifi is good, free continental breakfast, clean rooms and very friendly staff. The water pressure was good (unlike other hotels in this area) and our room was very quiet. An excellent stay for the price.

Heather V.

Yelp
Loved the hotel! The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me and my family. They had everything I was looking for; gym, pet friendly, and delicious continental breakfast. No reservations were needed. The hotel is super cute and the rooms are very clean. I would stay here again.

Hayley H.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite hotel I've stayed in. I loved the western themed room in the converted flour mill. The pictures in the room with brief descriptions were a cool addition. There was a lot of attention to details in the room that made my family's experience so good. The price was great and included free breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here. Across the street is Killy's liquor store where you can buy some Black Tooth beer that's locally brewed as well.

Gretchen G.

Yelp
Neat hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are fully equipped and spacious. beds are comfortable with nice sized bath. We had a good bit of luggage for the family and it is a little awkward to get it moved around. We did not stay for breakfast because it was too crowded and we needed to get on the road. Would stay here again.

Nicholas D.

Yelp
Located at the south end of Sheridan - close to the freeway but a good mile or two from "downtown". The lobby was clean and very nice, with a cool western flair. The person working the front desk was friendly and had no problem checking me in early. The studio room I stayed in was clean and updated, with track lighting, a nice couch, a large flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator/microwave. The unit did not actually have an exterior window, only a window to the hallway (and a corresponding window in the hallway to the outside); a little odd and not great for privacy. They really hit it out of the park with the in-room coffee. The coffee packets were from Starbucks, so the coffee was anything but watery like it usually would be in any hotel. But the awesome part was that they had several flavors of dairy creamer and plenty of sugar/sugar substitutes in the little basket. I know, it's a sad day when you get excited about dairy creamer in your room, but this is something other hotels need to pick up on.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! We stayed in the condo suite which I didn't realize was an incredibly nice 2 bedroom living apartment! Full kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms and a nice sized bathroom. Incredible price for everything that is included! The staff was incredibly nice! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that I have 2 babies and there are no high chairs or cribs which I didn't find out until I checked in! So we weren't able to eat breakfast downstairs. I was told that because of the age of the hotel and product recalls, the insurance company wouldn't approve high chairs or cribs.

Brandis G.

Yelp
I would rate zero stars but this website defaults to one minimum. This place is not like the pictures-- the bedspread was faded and the room drafty; walls are thin! The worst: on the main floor the bed is about 3 feet in front of the door, practically blocking the entrance- very uncomfortable in term of Ch'i. The upper floors have a landing and iron railing between the bed and door, with a step down into the room. however, to get to these rooms requires negotiating a speed bump just outside the slowest elevator in the world, then a ramp down through a doorway, back up and through a heavy fire door to outside on the uncovered balcony (yes, it rains and snows there!). All the ramped level changes do not make this place comply with ADA standards, because the rooms each have an interior step! The desk clerk was surly, an uncommon description for a woman, but meet her and you'll agree! I guess for the one star I'll say that the lobby was charmingly decorated; it ended there. Appreciate the history; the conversion project failed.

Susan R.

Yelp
Found on Yelp and loved it! Very fun and well thought out decor. Very clean. Alicia at the desk was wonderful. Little things like the batter for the waffles was not runny but right! Sheets felt thick, like the old days. Great attention to detail and we chose to stay there a second time on our return trip, just as pleased. This is where we will stay when passing through WY! No TV in the dining room so guest actually talked. Loved it!!!!

Krystle K.

Yelp
We loved this place! We are traveling cross country with our dog, the pet friendly room had hardwood floors, dog dishes and a dog mat, helps it's to feel clean! The room was big and comfy... For the middle of WY! And it's the perfect town to stay in, quiet and has everything you need right around the corner. The staff was very friendly, and they have my favorite.. Waffles and syrup for breakfast, along with other options some healthy.

Joslyn W.

Yelp
This place it great! While passing through Sheridan this was the only hotel we could find with an available room and the only room available happened to be the honeymoon suite. To our surprise the room had an adorable, kitsch, red, heart-shaped tub! We loved it! Additionally, the price was fantastic and the room and tub were super clean.

Rebekah J.

Yelp
Great staff. Clean and lovely rooms. Great price. It's very close to good restaurants and a stones throw from a vibrant main street.

Shannon S.

Yelp
I am not sure where these people were staying. We have been traveling across the country for days and this is by far the worst stay we've had. I'm currently writing this while wondering if I'm going to be able to sleep on the uncomfortable possibly dirty bed. We have a motel door with a long safety list to go through before opening the door a super creepy adjoining door. The mirror and sink is not in the bathroom it's directly in front of the bed. Again...the smell. I'm going to have visions of bed bugs dancing in my head all night. Honestly $20 more a night goes a long way and is well worth it. Our bed is 5 ft from the motel door complete with indoor stoop and wrought iron railing with loud traffic noises blaring through. This is disgusting.

Vicki H.

Yelp
Loved this place! Was there for four days in 2009 visiting my brother who lives in Sheridan. The rooms are large and very clean. Have all the cable channels you'd want, but who is looking at the TV when I could look out my window and see the Big Horn mountains. The staff is not only helpful and friendly, but you's swear they were part of your family without the nuts! Would stay again and again. Prices were also very reasonable!

Les C.

Yelp
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a hotel in faraway Wyoming. On a trip from Kalispell, Montana to our home in Austin, Texas we picked, at random, the Mill Inn primarily because of the web site photo of the building and the fact that it was at the right location to spend the night on our long trip home. The room that we got was very spacious, with two wash basins, a large sitting area and double beds. The TV was of a current vintage, the beds were comfortable and all for under $100. The free breakfast was comparable to most economical motels. Upon checkout we learned that our room was no larger than any other rooms in the motel with the exception of one, which has only a single bed. And, we found the staff to be most obliging.
