FIRST IMPRESSIONS: With a sprawling layout that goes from the front entrance all the way to the back patio, nice lighting, music that's not too loud, a rustic decor, and huge bar, Millstreet Brew Pub is definitely a go-to restaurant in the Distillery District.
THE FOOD: Having been here before, I had an idea of what to expect in terms of food. However, on this occasion I opted for the miso salmon which was very delicious! My wife ordered the buttermilk chicken strips and loved it - not dried out or too overly battered like regular chicken strips.
In my opinion, their menu offers something yummy and filling for almost everyone.
THE VIBE: I have to say, I quite like the atmosphere here. Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner for two, dining with your entire family, or with a group of friends, the Millstreet Brew Pub has a cool, upscale, trendy, yet cosy vibe for almost any dining occasion.
THE SERVICE: On this visit we sat on the patio and was served by Rosana. We immediately loved her calm energy, and attentiveness. She was friendly, helpful, and a joy to speak with. When we left, we found ourselves singing that old 80s Toto song Rosana 😀
FINAL WORDS: Don't let the words "brew pub" throw you off thinking this restaurant is all about beer. Personally, I don't drink beer myself and neither does my wife- we both had cocktails.
If you find yourself at the Distillery District, and would like a nice dining experience- any season of the year, I very highly recommend your try The Millsreet Brew Pub.
In my opinion, having such a strong brand that's not only well known, but also100% Canadian at the Distillery District immediately adds tremendous value to anyone who visits this historic part of our city. And, not giving The Millstreet Brew Pup a try would be a missed opportunity.
