Visited for a light dinner, the tacos were delicious and very fairly priced! Service was friendly and fast. The beer was really good, especially the classic lager. Great people watching sat outside too as it's in the charming Distillery District!

Super spacious with variety seating, we got to sit at the semi-outdoor patio. Service was generally satisfactory, rushed service considering it was empty on the day of our visit. The food was good, especially the fries. 🔸The fish and chips: fish not as fresh as I hoped and it was super oily. Fries were good. 🔸Smoked chicken club: Delicious! 🔸Truffle and mushroom pizza: fresh ingredients, fluffy crust, delicious!

We were wandering around the Distillery District looking for a place to have dinner and decided to come here. First of all, the staff was incredible—everyone was super nice, attentive, and fun to chat with. Our food was also delicious! I tried their burger, and it was amazing. I have an allergy, and they made sure my food was safe, which I really appreciated. Definitely coming back

We had a great experience at Mill Street Brewpub! The food was genuinely delicious , the wings were perfectly crispy and flavourful, and the fish & chips hit the spot. But what really made the visit special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. To me, the vibe of a place is just as important as the food, and this place nails both. A big shoutout to Harley so friendly and kind, and really helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We came on for Sunday Lunch, with 4 adults and 3 kids. We were able to walk in without reservations and the place wasn't too busy. We were seated right away. Place was clean, bright and had a cool vibe. Our server came right away. He was friendly, pleasant, and came by to check on us and to refill our waters. We ordered a variety of things, for myself I had the smokehouse burger and upgraded to Kale Caesar salad for extra $3. We didn't wait long to get our food and it was fairly quick, within 15 minutes I'd say. My burger was delicious, bun was soft, meat and the toppings were flavourful. The salad was good too, fresh and colourful. The others enjoyed their food as well, no complaints and everyone was full. The items ordered were classic poutine, pepperoni pizza, brewmaster burger with lettuce wrap, pulled pork taco, buttermilk tenders with fries, and pretzel (not pictured). They also have an extensive beer menu as well. Good place to come check out at the distillery village for lunch with families, friends, by yourself, and/or couples.

Came here on a date night while wandering around the distillery district. We were very pleased with the service and the environment was very comfortable. We came on a weekday so it wasn't very busy and we didn't have to yell over others or loud music to actually be able to chat.

The burger was very tasty and the beer was just right, served at a perfect temperature with great flavor. However, the service was a bit lacking. Our server did not bring us cutlery, and only came to check on us after we had already finished eating. Other staff members noticed we were trying to get her attention, but did not approach because we were not their table. The food and drinks were excellent, but the service needs improvement.

Yelp
I recently visited Mill Street Brew Pub in the Distillery District, and I had a great experience. The beer selection is impressive, with a rotating variety of drafts that keeps things interesting. I tried the Pineapple Lime Sour, featuring Lemondrop or Cashmere and Mosaic Hops--definitely a unique and refreshing brew that I would order again. I was looking forward to trying the Blue Wave, but unfortunately, it was out of stock. Server was a great and attentive. Food came out very fast and was hot. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, which I appreciated since they offer a kids' menu with crayons to keep the little ones entertained. As for the food, I had the breaded wings in BBQ and honey garlic flavors, accompanied by fries. Both were solid choices--tasty and satisfying. Overall, it's a good spot in a fantastic location within the Distillery District. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their beer offerings and enjoy the lively yet laid-back vibe.

Yelp
Gord and I had supper yesterday at Mill Street Brew Pub. Gord had a Brewmaster's Burger and fries (two pub patties, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, secret sauce, brioche bun). Some of his fries were cold so they brought him a hot fresh order. He really enjoyed his burger. I had a Carnivore pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, bacon, soppressata). It was good and loaded with lots of stuff. The outside crust looked hard and crusty but it was actually quite soft and chewy (yay!). I found underneath in the middle was soggy, though. Some pizza came home with me for lunch tomorrow. Teri and Ash took good care of us.

Yelp
Living on the east end for a while now, and only recently got a chance to visit this brewpub retail location to serve as a frontline for their historic brewery (they also have a location in Pearson international and Ottawa as of this writing). They are now a subsidiary of Labatt (in turn Anheuser-Busch) but their staff was quick to point out that the corporate big-wigs allow for a hands off approach to their management of the brewery itself, which allows their brew gurus to have the freedom to experiment with funky flavor profiles and intrigue the public. I know this information because I got their guided tour for about $15 a pop that includes a pint of any beer ya fancy, totally recommend getting that. Includes some history of the brewery, the distillery district, and insight into the beer making and ingredients. I won't say more. Let's talk about the beer. I'm preferential to delicate, clean flavors, so the original lager was my first choice and remained my favorite. If you're not "boring" as I am on your beer-snob scale, my beer partner in crime of the day recommended the hazy organic IPA which while obviously high on the hoppy scale, was easy to go down thanks to some citrus notes. Staying with the ales, my recommendation is the Tankhouse pale ale. Not too bitter/hoppy, yet retains that malty flavor, but goes down smoother, and a pretty deep red color. Beer flights (with 4 tastings) are available and come in 5 oz measurements, so there's quite enough to get a taste and then some. They're always running specials/experimental flavors that keep changing while retaining their permanent fixtures.

Yelp
We went for lunch and the tofu lettuce wrap and the fallafel Buddha bowl were both divine! Would come back just to order these two dishes. They have a nice outdoor patio. It's nice to eat in the Distillery district - a historic part of the city.

Yelp
If you happened to be in distillery district and in a pinch, go for a drink but not to eat here. Snack maybe but not meal2. The poutine is so sad no flavour, little cheese curd. The pot pie's top crust is fine but there's no flavour on the pie itself. Super bland. The beer selection is decent, the bartender knows his beer and he gave me 2 taste of the beer/cider/sour that I want to try and I go with his suggestion for cider. We were there around 1 pm on Saturday, very quiet still so it's nice for us to hang out there

Yelp
We have tried lots of spots in the DD. First time here. Huge dining room and also huge patio space in the summer. Staff were fine if somewhat sparse. (It was so so busy) Had the wings and sweet potatoes fries. Both excellent. Hubby and I shared the chocolate cake for dessert. Also very good. Thought it was a little pricey for pub style food, but everything was tasty. Parking is in nearby lots.

Yelp
I drank Mill Street's Haze Phaze (hazy IPA) & their new Mango March (Mango Ale) on their patio. I particularly like the latter. I often drink Waterloo Brewing's Pineapple Radler - Mill Street's Mango March packs enough of a mango taste without being a radler.

Yelp
Great lager, lettuce wrapped burger, and tasty fries- well done upon request. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. 10/10.

Yelp
A few years ago, in December 2018, I was in the Distillery District with a couple of friends. We were shopping and browsing. We were thinking about a place to eat for lunch. We dropped by Mill Street Brew Pub. The line was long to wait for a table. It was a bit cold to dine outside, despite having an outdoor area with tables and mini heaters on them. I am a bit different in that I tend to drink cold beverages year-round. I had already had a hot chocolate at Balzac's. I felt like beer. Shopping can do that. This eatery had a few selections of beer outside. I got one. I generally take photos of practically everything. Oddly, I don't have any photos that I had a beer in my hand for the rest of our time at the Christmas Market. I had no physical proof. Was I hiding something?! My guess is that I was too busy catching up with friends that I don't see too often that taking a photo of my beer wasn't top priority. I will say that I got a full can. It did not stick to my mouth, so it wasn't frigid outside. I likely did the pale ale back in 2018. These days, Mill St. has more varieties, like raspberry and sangria, that I would go for. It was cold and smooth. The beer was good. It was smooth and was exactly what I had in mind, minus not being able to secure a table. The wait time was over an hour. I still had a bit of beer in my can by the time we left the market to go find another eatery where there was seating. A male staffer let me know that I couldn't bring my beer outside of the market. I ended up chugging maybe four gulps left of my can of beer and then tossed it into the recycling bin. Good times. I frankly don't know whether it's worth returning to check out the food here when the Christmas market is in full swing. I'm more inclined to return when it's not as crazy and see if I have better luck securing a table. You do have to shell out for parking when you're in the Distillery District. If you just want Mill St. beer, it's probably cheaper if you hit an LCBO and get a case in the comfort of your own or friend's home. (449)

Yelp
Fun stop at the Winter Village. We were hungry for lunch and this location looked like it had a fair amount of tables available. I ordered the burger, my son the tenders, and my husband had the chicken salad. I ended up giving half my burger to my husband as the salad wasn't as large as the price suggested and the burger was too much for me to eat. The toffee ale was delicious. My husband had the espresso martini which he enjoyed. Cute ambiance. Team was very friendly. Service was quick and excellent.

Yelp
I recently visited this brewery with a friend over the weekend, and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere is fantastic for hanging out, offering a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Their beer selection is impressive, with a wide variety of in-house brews to suit every palate. The food menu complements the drinks perfectly, providing delicious options that enhance the overall experience. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a great place to unwind, this brewery is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Huge indoor space and ample patio space, coupled with beer brewed freshly on site. I've got nothing bad to say about the service either. It's always been good. So, why not five stars? For me, it's because of the food. I always struggle to find anything I really want and anything that I know will be really good. It makes the whole experience pretty mediocre. If they could either bring down the price point on their menu or improve what you get for your buck, I think they'd become more than a default/backup option.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch in the Distillery District and honestly could not have been much more disappointed in the food. While the burger with poutine wasn't bad, the nachos I got were a combination of stale and soggy chips with congealed cheese that made it difficult to try to eat any of it. The flavor and textures were just off because of that, and it put a damper on the whole meal. In an area surrounded by so many different options, this is one I would pass on.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my husband on a weekday. We ordered their pretzel appetizer, French fries, chipotle pizza, zatar cauliflower, a beer (don't remember which one), and peppermint hot chocolate. Total came out to approximately $82 (without tip). What's hot - Service. Their staff was friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. My husband was debating as to which beer to order, so our waitress provided a small sample for him to try, which was nice. We were also able to get in and out of there in 45 minutes, which was helpful. Sounds silly, but because we paid for parking nearby, the amount of time service took was something we had to be mindful of. - Quality. Their fries are delicious and you can taste the quality. Served warm, which definitely helped us enjoy it more. Their pretzel appetizer was warm, chewy and well seasoned with sea salt. Their beer cheese sauce was flavorful and their mustard was combined with horseradish, which we loved. It's difficult to come across a quality pretzel, especially one that is well-seasoned with sea salt and has good dipping sauces. This one definitely hits the mark. Their peppermint hot chocolate comes with Bailey's and broken up pieces of peppermint. Very delightful and helped warm us up on a windy day. The cauliflower zatar was delicious, as well. The cauliflower was tender and the sauce was flavorful, light, and unique. - Price. Reasonable, given the portions and quality. - Location. Easy to find in the distillery district. What's not - Pizza. Their chipotle pizza wasn't bad, but wasn't that good. First, their pizzas are thin crusts and hubby and I prefer thicker crusts. For having jalapeños on the chipotle pizza, we couldn't taste any spice. The flavor wasn't very unique, nor did it stand out. Disappointing. - Chairs. Their high stool chairs are somewhat wobbly, which I wasn't a fan of. Also difficult to move around and get in a good placement next to my husband. - Portions. The cauliflower dish is certainly not enough to get you full. It's about half head of cauliflower. I was surprised it doesn't come with brown rice or any other accompaniment. My husband's pizza also wasn't enough to get him full, which is why he ordered the fries at the end of our meal. Final answer Willing to come back, but maybe not a first choice.

Yelp
Went out of the way to make a trip here after having a prior great experience. Hostess and bartender acted like they didn't want us there. Sat at the bar and got a flight, beer was good, service was worst I've ever had.

Yelp
November 29/2022: Cool restaurant in the middle of the Distillery District. Has what appears to be a functioning brewery on the premises. Very nice. Our server Karissa was a delightful, bubbly young lady was was very eager to please. Solid service. Started with a Mill Street 16oz Organic Lager. $9.00. For the food, I had the "massive pretzel" with the house mustard. One of the best hot mustards that I've had. $9.00. My main was the Chicken & Chorizo Pot Pie with a kale salad. Very tasty but rather small for $22.00. I've been to this restaurant a couple of times before. This was a good dinner.

Yelp
Really huge restaurant (we had a hard time finding our friends) that is very blah. The tuna poke bowl came with a lot of creamy sauce that ruined it - so make sure to order it either without sauce or on the side. Not much ambiance to speak of as it's just a very large pub.

Yelp
We were a group of 10 seated in their outdoor heated patio on a Wednesday evening. The service was slow and the food was not worth the wait. I got their daily kettle soup to start, it was creamy and hearty. I enjoyed it esp since it was chilly outside. I ordered a pizza and a poutine. The poutine wasn't bad, nothing special. My pizza never came until everyone else was done their meal. I followed up multiple times but no one really seemed to know. I finally got my pizza as others were having dessert. The pizza was mediocre. I had the toffee pudding for dessert, that was really good. I enjoyed that. I got a buddah bowl and ribs as take out and had it the next day. The buddah bowl was really flavourful, a bit spicy. The ribs were really dry though, we didn't enjoy that. In the middle of our meal, both of our portable heaters turned off. I asked one of the staff to turn it back on for us, and she said only managers can do so but she doubt a manager would come out, and then walked off. So we ate the remaining of our meal in the cold. I also saw a waitress literally pulled down her meals as she served the meals, while talking. This made me uncomfortable and probably explains why they had an outbreak shortly after my visit.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after my boyfriend, brother & I arrived in Toronto. Wanted to check out the distillery district. It was a rainy day so just came here. It is inside an old factory and gives off rustic charm. I tired the 100th Meridian Organic Amber Lager and had a tasting of the Blue Wave. The amber was smooth and had a microbrew taste to it. If I wasn't full from the food, I would have ordered a second glass. The Blue Wave is a beer inspired by the Toronto Blue Jays. According to the description, it is a lager and IPA in one. It had a unique taste - it was similar to a Labatt Blue, but with a sweet taste added to it. I don't think I could drink a whole glass, but I would recommend it to someone who would drink a lager or IPA regularly. My boyfriend tried the Brickworks Queen Street 501 cider and says it was really good. For food we ordered the Brew Pub Burger, Nashville Fried Chicken sandwich, and Brewpub wings done hot. All 3 came with fries. The wings looked breaded but were deep-fried. I was told they were good. My boyfriend ordered the burger. He said he could have had more pink in it (his preference/they didn't ask how to make it), but said it was very juicy, due to being made with chuck beef. I ordered the Nashville sandwich and it was huge. It was the perfect blend of the Nashville flavor and the chicken was moist and delicious. The fries were freshly made and were not over cooked. I definitely will return!

Yelp
The Distillery has so many patio options in the summer but I especially enjoyed my visit to Mill Street Brew Pub because they are dog-friendly and you're able to make a reservation by calling in ahead of time! Atmosphere is casual and it's a great spot to bring the family or catch up with friends. Fish and chips - Tasted decent and the portion size was generous. Can't go wrong with choosing this. BBQ - You get a little bit of everything! Again, generous portions. Chicken and chorizo pot pie - This was delicious and I would order it again but I'm biased because I love warm, hearty, and soupy dishes. 3 stars because honestly there weren't many options I gravitated towards on the menu and everything offered is your typical, average pub food.

Yelp
The best chicken pot pie I've had in quite some time. Honestly wasn't expediting much as we were stopping by to grab some drinks. Ended up ordering the pot pie and it exceeded all expectations. Cooked to perfection with the crust crunchy and the stew a perfect gravy texture with balanced flavors. The drinks were also good with a large selection to choose from. Service was overall solid but I would imagine it will perhaps be a little slow when things get back up to 100% capacity as it's a big venue.

Kiara K.

Yelp
The jalapeño burger was very very good. The wings were bussin. The waitress was nice.

Yelp
It's been a while since we came to the distillery district but it was a nice time as usual. There was a lot of activity and it was a perfect day for patio dining. I had the beer flute and then ordered a pint of the lager. I'm a pretty picky burger eater and I found Mill Street to have an excellent burger! The beef patty was large and substantial, and had great flavors. I give this a big thumbs up. I also tried their soup of the day which was a curried carrot soup that was quite good. And finally their sticky toffee pudding dessert was a great finale to a fantastic meal. I really enjoyed my meal at Mill Street Brew Pub, a well known Toronto establishment....

Yelp
I guess having high expectations never helps. This was my first time going to enjoy mill st organic lager at this location. To be fair, staff shortages aren't helping anyone. So showing up on a Saturday night doesn't guarantee the best experience. The Tangerine Sour was the star. The food was on the cold side; I mean don't we all love our wings & poutine hot? Our server was awesome & a proper legend in her own right. I'll revisit & hope to give a better rating.
google avatar

Nana T.

Yelp
Lowkey worst burger and poutine i've ever had and it was $25 No flavour the burger tasted unseasoned and had no flavour whatsoever, portion size was small and the poutine was not even the slightest bit salty 0/10 but damn my photography skills made this look so good. Save your money and just eat somewhere else instead of sitting down here really disappointed :(

Yelp
What if..., I tell you that this hidden gem brewpub in Distillery District, Toronto, will give you all the vibes of a retro garage with a beautiful patio. I got a chance to explore @millstreetbrew last week and, I have to say that this place is a must-visit for all those who love indulging in some delicious food and crafted beers.  Get indulged in their ambience with a vintage rugged theme. They've got your back from ciders to cocktails. Things I devoured? Starters : Loaded Nachos Chicken Wings Pub Fare: Roast Half Chicken Classic Fish & Chips Chicken & Chorizo Pot Pie Cocktails & Cider Cans: Lemonade Radler Matt's Handmade Cocktail Ginny from the block Add this spot to your bucket list and, thank me later.

Yelp
Beer was great, Connor was very helpful in picking our choice. The brewery had many selections.

Yelp
We went there when christmas market was there. The service was decent. The food is just like regular pub good. The prices are a bit overpriced but what can you say when they are located in a touristy area?! For that price, I did expect a bit better / fancier quality in food but no.... Kids meal hamburger look the same as the regular hamburger on the menu. yet half its price. Just bring you own lettuce and pickle l and you have a full burger. We also got the chicken and chorizo pot pie. You cant get it from kids menu. so more worthy and it tastes decent. It came with caesar salad, but i dont remember seeing caesar salad dressing anywhere... it was more like they forgot to mix it with it. Nacho also looks good. Tasted like any other pub food item. so i would only recommend to get their beer and pub food items if I ever come back again.

Yelp
Finally got to check out Mill Street Brew Pub's Distillery District location. The Breakdown: Ginny from the block | 8/10 - Minty cocktail with a mix of lime juice and soda - Refreshing and sweet Fried chicken & waffles | 9/10 - my favourite menu item! - combination of sweet and savoury - soft and tender waffles drizzled with maple syrup - topped with fried karaage (Japanese fried chicken) Southwest street corn | 8/10 - whoever thought feta cheese and corn would taste good together? - this was the menu item that intrigued me the most - once you bite in, you can taste the sweet (corn) and savoury (ranch, feta cheese) together Colonel Hurley's fried chicken sandwich | 7.5/10 - chicken was nice and tender and I enjoyed the addition of vegetables - fries were well salted and yummy - enjoyed this burger but wasnt a fan of the sauce (if youre a fan of hot sauce on your chicken, I recommend this) Pub club salad | 8.5/10 - salad topped with pieces of chicken - great light appetizer to start off a big meal - dressing wasn't strong and went well with chicken I will be coming back to try more of their burgers and definitely those chicken and waffles. The employees were helpful and friendly as well. Follow @debeats_ for more Distillery District spots

Yelp
Last Christmas I went to this brewery and tried their curry, which was awful. This year, because every restaurant was full during the Christmas Market festivities, my friends and I had to settle for the same place again. This time, I ordered fish and chips. Can't go wrong with fish and chips in a pub. I thought. The bar tender agreed. The food came. The fish was so dried that I didn't even bothered to finish it. The chips were those very finely cut ones.... they annoyed me with their wilted limpness. Next Christmas, a note to myself - please don't go back for food. 2 stars instead of zero, because the service was ok.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
This is a good option for meeting friends for a few drinks. The menu is okay with standard pub fare. The staff are generally friendly and the ambiance is okay.
google avatar

Ryan K.

Yelp
Good place to grab a beer and watch sports. Mill Street Brewpub has many televisions around the bar for watching sports, plenty of outdoor seating, and was relatively quiet in the outdoor seating area. The beer list primarily consists of fruitier beers, but anyone should be able to find something that they can drink. I would recommend Mill Street Brew Pub for laid back drinks.

Yelp
On a recent visit and photo shoot in the Distillery District, we decided to grab some dinner. Mill Street Brew Pub seemed to be the only place that could accommodate us right away. Why was that? Were they no good? We did check a few other places before settling on here and there was up to a two hour wait at the other places! Hmmm, we'll give it a try... Compared to the neighbouring Mill Street Beer Hall, which I've been to before, the menu seems a bit smaller, with lighter fare. That was actually fine for what we wanted. At least for what we thought we wanted. After contemplating the menu for a while, we chose Honey Garlic Chicken wings to start, followed by a Malaysian Chicken Curry with rice, and a Buffalo Blue Burger with a beef patty, chicken tenders, bacon, and blue cheese. The wings arrived first, saturated in honey, perhaps a tad too much for my liking, but they tasted good. They were served with carrot sticks and blue cheese sauce. Overall, not bad. I had the Malaysian Chicken Curry and it was pretty good. The sauce had a nice flavour and it was spiced just right. The portion was quite generous. Again though, maybe a little too much sauce. My companion had the Buffalo Blue Burger and it appeared to be quite hefty, with a couple of chicken fingers and bacon sitting on the beef patty. She kinda ate it deconstructed because of its size. Overall, the food was good and the service was acceptable, considering how busy they were. We did, however, get in right away. Comedian Garry Shandling's lookalike sat a few tables away from us.

Debbie P.

Yelp
Great burgers and fun atmosphere! Wait staff could be friendlier and more attentive - had a hard time getting them to come back to the table but otherwise was good.

Yelp
Was in the Distillery District and we settled on the Mill Street Brew Pub on a busy holiday weekend. Checked in for a table of 4 and it took around 20min to get our table. Our server was very friendly and provided great service. Order: Tankhouse Lane Experience Burger with Garden Salad, Wings (Mild) with Fries, Chicken and Chorizo Pot Pie, Kung Pao Calamari, Sweet Potato Fries. I had the burger and the bun and toppings were good but the patty was very dry. My son enjoyed the wings and their fries are decent. The pot pie was more like a stew that simply had puff pastry on top, not what was expected. The salads that came with the burger and pie were good. The calamari was OK, I thought the kung pao drizzle topping was nice, lots of ginger with hints of sesame and citrus peel. The sweet potato fries seemed like your garden variety frozen type. The food was a bit disappointing overall. I had a Cobblestone Organic Stout with my meal and it was really good!

Yelp
Food was subpar, and so was the service. We ordered the loaded nachos as N appetizer, but they never came... only our food, so we had to ask them to remove that from the bill. Two members of our party's split a full rack of ribs, which they said came lukewarm... we would have spoke up, but our waiter wasn't very attentive (to give him credit. They were short staffed, BUT the food still shouldn't have come cold) My pulled pork sandwich was also not very warm, and was very dry; I had to ask for additional sauce for the sandwich. Overall, it was pretty underwhelming, but we were starving, so beggars can't be choosers! Probably wouldn't return tho... sorry!
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken wings in garlic honey sauce. Also ordered a side of Korean sauce to try as well. Garlic honey sauce was much better. Sauce had a real nice garlic flavor. Korean sauce was a bit to salty for my taste. Chicken wings were cooked perfectly! Plump and juicy. We also ordered the Pierogies. The onions were caramelized perfectly. Bacon was cooked perfectly crisp. We'd definitely order these two dishes again.

Yelp
We came here for dinner after our company offsite. I must say I haven't been here in many years & it seems the food has really improved. We had a set menu since we were a large group. And we also had a beer tasting. I only took really small sips as I hadn't eaten & I don't drink much alcohol (it just puts me to sleep). But the beers we had for the tasting were good. I especially liked the one that had citrus flavours & the stout tasted like coffee to me. First course we had a choice of salad or soup. I had the watermelon salad which was delicious! Second course I chose the salmon which again was very delicious. It came with deep fried leeks which tasted like onion straws to me. And I love onion straws! Dessert was a choice between apple cobbler & cheesecake. I had the apple cobbler to go because my ride wanted to leave a little early. I gave the apple cobbler to hubby who said it was very good. I'd also like to mention that they had a live musician performing at 6pm. The ambiance & atmosphere of this restaurant is great. I just wish I didn't have to yell to be heard when talking. The servers were great. One guy whose name I didn't catch was really hilarious, friendly & outgoing. I'd come here again to have a good meal that's for sure! I'd like to bring hubby so he can experience the good food as well.

Yelp
The place was great. Was huge with both indoor and outdoor seating. The server was super nice. The drinks were pretty good. I had a margarita mixed with beer. I forget what it was called, but I drank 3 so it was enjoyable! The pizza was good as well! If you're in the area, definitely check it out. Even if it's just for a drink or 2 at the bar.

Yelp
This picturesque industrial restuarant is to die for! Great food, tasty beer and beer cocktails and company where all the customers seem super happy. We walked in to a crowded restaurant! So we chose to sit outside since the sun was going down so we could enjoy the lovely outdoors. We ordered flights of some of the local brews and cocktails (there's some local beer in them!). They have a variety of different tastes for easy drinking, hoppy or just straight stouts. We ended up ordering quite a few things just for nosh sake, we got the Brewer's Platter which showcased a variety of meats and cheeses and a tasty fig jam. It was flavorful especially with all the olives. I believe some of the dishes are seasonal because the website shows different item pairings as well. We paired that with the bulgogi nachos, and the Montreal smoked meat poutine. All came out piping hot and very delicious. Everyone seem very happy with the the choices we collectively made. Our server was helpful as well as thorough with our orders. I give the mill brew pub four stars for excellent service, food and hospitality. A great place to visit in the brewery District of Toronto, Canada.

Yelp
We almost skipped eating here because we thought it was empty. When we discovered there were few options nearby we gave it a shot anyway and were blown away by how big it was. It was busy, but not overwhelming, something we appreciate during Covid. As with all Toronto eateries they checked vaccine status. I enjoyed a cider and the kale salad with falafel. I really wanted chicken and biscuits but since we were also getting poutine, I decided to even it out a little. Perfect amount of dressing on the salad and the falafel was crispy on the outside and moist inside- perfect. Poutine was delicious and exactly what I wanted. My partner went all in for breakfast and was pleased with his selection.

Yelp
Great place - we were in the Distillery area and decided on a light lunch - almost skipped this place based on ratings but glad we went for it as it exceeded our expectations!! Service was on point - fast, friendly and after I decided to hold off on a drink until I can tried a few sips of my husbands IPA flight- the waiter quickly checked in to see what I had selected so my drink arrived moments after - and on that note it had great drink selections and I really enjoyed the West Coast IPA We decided on just a few light bites for lunch - kids not so light with a pretzel which was huge but all eaten and tots with an amazing bbq sauce. We tried the kale hummus on toast which was delicious - so flavorful and the Asian style green beans which had a great crunch and the right amount of heat! Great crowd of people from families to large groups all having fun !! Glad I tried this place !!

Yelp
This awesome pub is located in the distillery district, and my boyfriend and I are so happy we stopped in! It was packed when we arrived in the late afternoon on a Saturday, but luckily two seats opened up at the bar. We were greeted by two awesome bartenders that let us Americans try out some of their beer in order to figure out what we wanted. I went with their pilsner, and really enjoyed its flavor. My boyfriend went with his favorite, IPA, and loved it. I couldn't believe how big their serving sizes are compared to America. They really like to serve em LARGE (and no complaints here!) We weren't all too hungry but noticed the people next to us ordering the spinach dip, and we just couldn't resist. We tried it out and it was AMAZING! The dip came out so hot and with a side of both chips and pita bread. We loved it! We sat and chatted with the bartenders and got their opinions on what we had to see while visiting Toronto. I did notice that there was a little small brewery tour going on behind us, and that looked really interesting to me! I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you like beer! I noticed everyone seemed happy with their food selections as well.

Yelp
The location here is great. I loved the whole Distillery District market with this as an anchor at one end. The beers were quite fine. The bartender was good, but there was a bachelorette party and he was more interested in the cleavage than in tending bar. That's fair, I suppose. We had pirogi's and they were very good. It is a lovely, quite large space.

Yelp
Got to visit mill st brew pub for the first time. Very descent for bar food, I had the colonel hurleys fried chicken sandwich paired with the alespresso float. The chicken sandwich was very good and the fries were also good. The chicken had the right amount of spice, but the alespresso float I would not recommend for anyone with any dairy sensitivity. It is a float but it is also extremely creamy and tastes like a stomach ache waiting to happen. The place was very clean and a very nicely shaded patio for outside dining for nice days

Yelp
Mill Street is a really nice pub in the Distillery District. Good bar area where you can quaff brews and watch sports, plus more than one outdoor patio area. The front patio is a bit more intimate but offers nice 'streetside' ambiance. We sat in one of the back areas which are much larger with more of an 'inside the district' feel. - Beer flights: Solid. They do good beer here. I enjoyed all the beers I sampled (and I'm not even going to try to list them). - Fish n chips: hot, tasty, maybe a touch greasy for some but with the good fish, just right for me. - Nachos: my companion's choice. She wasn't too impressed but I thought it looked good. Certainly you get a lot of food. We also had a beer inside while watching (sort of) the NHL playoffs. As I mentioned, a good pub for that. Service was great, inside and out. I was only in town for two nights and I'm glad Mill Street was one of the spots I hit. Recommended.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, very friendly and willing staff. Love the spin they have on bar food and of course, great choice of beers. We had a party of two with a baby. To be honest, we were reluctant to come in here with a child but when we saw the line of strollers at the door, we had a clue that this place was baby friendly. After being seated, we decided on the Smoked meat poutine, chicken fingers and calamari with a Cobblestone Nitro Stout. The chicken fingers and calamari were ok, with a spin of sauces on each that made it a bit different. The smoked meat poutine had an even spread of smoked meat, pickles and gravy. Surprisingly, the pickles were a nice touch of text and sour flavor. Would have it again and would definitely come back.
