We were very fortunate to stay at Millbrook Resort recently after our original accomodation fell through literally at the last minute. With a party of 9 including a child under two, it was not easy to find alternate accommodation at short notice, but the Millbrook Resort was able to provide us with two recently renovated suites each with double bedrooms and bathrooms. All the staff were fantastic to deal with, check-in was easy and the amenities were clearly explained. Raj one of the ‘porters’ and his associate Alex even gave us a quick tour of the main facilities while they helped us with our bags. The suites were well appointed with upgraded kitchens with all that you required to either prepare your own meals, eat at the restaurants on site, or take the free on demand shuttle to arrowtown. They even pick you from arrowtown with a simple call to reception. The breakfast was included in our rate and again the staff were very welcoming and treated us as guests. There was a great selection of both continental and cooked food options, smoothes, juices, fresh fruits etc., we really couldn’t have asked for more. As it was our sons 21st Raj and Alex even arranged a surprise bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates and balloons which was really appreciated. We all had such a wonderful time after a very stressful start to our holiday. And made sure to use the gym, pool, spas (all included) and for some of our party, 9 holes of golf (at a reasonable cost). I can’t really fault the level of service, care shown, facilities and food. They were all exceptional, and it made for a very memorable trip to Queenstown for our family. Thank you team.

We had a lovely three nights at Millbrook on the weekend. Spring is an incredible time to visit! The blossoms are next level and all the gardens are extra beautiful. We stayed in the villas and had a huge deck with a dining table at one end and chairs and drinks table at the other with a lovely view to the mountains. We used the shuttle into Queenstown which is very convenient. Staff are all awesome.

We stayed two nights at Millbrook and absolutely loved it. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed walking around them. The golf course is great and we had a very enjoyable round. The unit was excellent being clean spacious and very comfortable. But the highlight were the staff who were outstanding. Their friendliness and attentiveness was second to none. Thankyou for a wonderful stay. We will come back

My Husband and I recently got married down at Millbrook Arrowtown. We had the most amazing experience - it was the best day of our lives, truly made special thanks to the staff at Millbrook! The reception staff made check in and check out a breeze, they were incredibly helpful, accommodating and friendly. We had a wonderful team of Porters who drove us to and from our accommodation, around the various restaurants on site, and to Arrowtown central - they were amazing. The Deluxe Studio we stayed in was beautiful, so homely, clean and cozy, we didn't want to leave! The views were phenomenal - our doors opened up to the rolling hills of the Remarkables golf course fairway, with the mountains and snow framing the horizon - literally a dream setting. It was peaceful, relaxing and so quiet - especially coming from the Auckland hustle and bustle. The Spa experience was next level and the food was to die for! We will be back every year, Millbrook now holds a special place in our hearts. It's a must see, must do destination for food, golf and relaxation!

Would highly recommend Millbrook Resort. We had a one bedroom suite which was lovely with a huge bed. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and heated towel rails were a plus. |Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We used the health/gym facilities and the spa and both were great. I had the best facial ever!! The on demand shuttle service into Arrowtown and scheduled services into Queenstown were a bonus too. Will definitely be back.

We went back and forth about booking the Stay & Play package at Millbrook and eventually decided to go for it. Unfortunately, my husband hurt his back on the way over, so he was only able to enjoy one of the golf days instead of two, completely not the resort’s fault, but it did take away from what we had hoped for. On top of that, we forgot breakfast was included on the first morning and missed out there too (again, on us, totally not on the resort). (This is not the reason for rating). ||That said, for the price point (around $758 per night), we did have higher expectations of the overall experience. The rooms and the location were absolutely beautiful, definitely no complaints there. But the wellness centre was closed during our stay, as was Smithy’s Smokehouse. When we booked, it showed as open in September, but during our stay, we were told it was weather dependent, which was disappointing but understandable as it is an outside location. I completely understand there are different opening times as well as areas needing to undergo upgrades, but this should be reflected in the price. ||Another downside was the overall feel. Some of the other guests we encountered were quite rude, which once again, obviously isn’t the resort’s fault, but it did affect our experience when we were hoping for a relaxing, welcoming getaway. When I did raise some concerns though, the response felt a bit flat, and nothing could be done, not even a small gesture like a couple of coffees, a voucher to the Hole in One café, or something simple to acknowledge the missed inclusions and closed facilities. Once again, we acknowledge not their fault about us missing breakfast or my husband hurting his back, but I have worked in hotels and I would have absolutely offered the guests something to make their trip more memorable. ||The staff in the golf shop though were so incredibly friendly and lovely and could not be more accommodating. They made our trip to be honest :)||After doing a more deep dive into the reviews after our experience, many are saying the same thing about how overpriced it is and I couldn't agree more. ||Overall, Millbrook is stunning and the rooms are lovely, but for the price, I walked away feeling a bit disappointed.

Played golf only Coronet course - excellent. Spectacular layout through the rocky hills. Every hole was fun and interesting. Very expensive but worth a splurge I reckon. 5 stars. Remarkables course - very average. Boring resort layout. Very few interesting holes. Some holes had me wondering what the point of them were, as they were so bland. 2 stars

Google
Excellent golfing experience. Played three rounds of golf here earlier in the year with expectations exceeded. I enjoyed the Coronet course the most - still my favourite track to date. Offered a good challenge with some notable features built into the terrain. Remarkables course was well presented but a little underwhelming. Seemed an upmarket parklands course. Service from the pro shop & other vendors on site was excellent. Cold beer in front of a warm fireplace post round was an added bonus. I look forward to returning again soon.

Yelp
Amazing views of the surrounding area Helicopter rides can take you up and around the mountains Some of the most beautiful scenery around the resort. Food is high quality Service is a touch slow but very friendly. Rooms are well appointed and spacious. Plenty of amazing adventures and the golf course looks challenging and is the host to the New Zealand open.

Yelp
This was a great recommendation from a good friend. We wanted a place where we could get a good golf clinic and which would be a relaxing place to stay. The Millbrook did a great job on all counts. From Queenstown Airport, it is a $60 ride with Uber (but beware, currently Uber's can't pick up at the airport itself, so you have to walk out of the airport to get one). Alternatively, they charge $30 a person to pick you up with their van. It is just a 20-30 minute ride out there and the site itself is gorgeous. As the name suggests, it is the site of an old mill and farm and the it is beautifully maintained. The grounds are beautiful, but being family owned, it feels super friendly. We got to know the staff very quickly and they were friendly and outgoing. The morning breakfast is excellent and is included in many room rates. It features a wide array of cereals, egg and other hot dishes. Golfing there is really wonderful. We worked with Ben Gallie, the head pro, and he is super patient and there is something about going to a driving range that is a reconditioned sheep shearing shed that is wonderful. There are plenty of other things for non-golfers to do as well. The gym is huge and there is an indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tubs. In addition, the property has lots of places to run and bike. It is part of the Queenstown circuit with over 50km of trail that is easy to run and bike. There are two dining options the property. The Millbrook restaurant which has terrific meat options and the Japanese restaurant. It is also a 20 minute walk to Arrowtown and a 30 minute free shuttle to Queenstown. Give it a go if you are around the South Island for sure!

Yelp
I was here as part of a company incentive trip. This is one of the best run resorts I've seen. There are always people around maintaining the grounds and keeping the greens perfectly manicured. We were always warmly greeted everywhere we went; the staff was really accommodating. There are a few eateries onsite. I only tried the cafe outside of the work functions. We opted for the burger. I remember it be decent but honestly don't recall the details. The televisions were broadcasting sports but I didn't have a line of sight. The views were beautiful from any of the rooms. We saw rolling green hills and mountains. The backdoor of the room had several chairs for guests to relax while admiring nature. Our room was spacious, modestly decorated and very open. There were windows and doors everywhere to bring in lots of light. The kitchenette came in handy when I wanted to make some coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Because most meals were provided as part of our trip, we didn't need to use it much. I would imagine that the microwave, refrigerator and stove are great amenities. If I had to pick one thing that jumped out the most, I would say that it was the friendly staff.

Yelp
This place is spectacular. I dont even know where to begin. The room that we booked had a sitting area with a fireplace, a separate toilet and bathroom, and had a walkin closet. The view to the back had French doors that overlooked the golf course. The room felt like we were in our own mini house. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The resort had many other activities that we didnt get to try, but maybe a future trip will remedy that.

Yelp
Love this resort. Great for a game of golf on 3 x 9 holes. The course is interesting within views of the snow capped mountains. Some holes are challenging. I sometimes wonder whether the green keeper just wants to try the patience of the golfers. The pin position can be on a ridge or slope!

Yelp
Another reason why this is a 5 star resort? My husband left his jacket behind at the Skyline Gondola Luge place. We had our convention people call but they couldn't find it. Well, after we left, they found the jacket and called the hotel to see if we were still there. The hotel people went to Skyline, picked up the jacket and emailed us to let us know they had it and that they were shipping it to us here in the US. Now how is THAT for service? Ah-maz-ing.

Yelp
Brilliant all around experience. A short drive from Queenstown and what felt like worlds away. Millbrook is its own little compound with several buildings. We visited the pool, fitness center and spa. I'm not sure that I have ever been to a more beautiful spa in my life. The area sets exactly the idyllic scene I imagined when we were planning our trip to New Zealand. Rolling hills, gorgeous stone buildings, mountains, streams.... The fitness center and pool were in keeping with the rustic flavor of Milbrook. The pool was all plate glass and wooden beams and the ceilings in the fitness center were loft meets barn in a charming way. The changing rooms had bib sinks and headboard galore that evoked a stately country feel. As a spa guest, one has full, all-day access to the fitness facilities. The spa itself is light and airy with ample seating areas complete with stone fireplaces, cushy sofas and wool throws. Our couples massage was a slice of heaven. Our therapists asked many questions to ensure the massages were on point and checked in unobtrusively several times to ensure the pressure, temperature, etc were perfect. On our once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand, this was the perfect once in a lifetime experience. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a massage or another spa treatment of choice.
