License to ride: road tripping in Perth - SilverKris

"A rural, lake-front winery that practices true farm-to-table dining, supported by a huge kitchen garden and an estate that provides eggs, honey, fruit and herbs. Award-winning chef Guy Jeffreys is often seen harvesting heirloom vegetables for the kitchen, and the venue’s weekly Monday 'no waste' seasonal lunches are excellent value (A$50) and frequently sell out." - Fleur Bainger

We came for a wine tasting experience and had the best time. The wines are very good, and the place is just so beautiful, we went upstairs to the loft to enjoy some more wines, got ourselves some cheese and crackers from the bar, and had a wonderful time admiring the view of the vineyards and the Hudson valley. They even have EV chargers in the back! We’ll definitely be back!

We came to just hang out as we don’t drink. It is free to enter and they have different types of food trucks on the weekends serving food from lunch to dinner. There were many people who brought their own chairs and picnic blankets hanging out on the grass area by the pond. We set up a blanket right in front of the pond and chilled. There was only one bbq food truck on the weekend we visited. It would have been a better experience if the family next to us wasn’t so loud. But overall we had a relaxing time. They have free wifi, which was nice! They also have electric car chargers stations.

Such a beautiful winery! Came here during a bachelorette weekend and it completely brightened the vibe of the trip. They had live jazz playing which made it feel extra special, and we tried a wine flight with four different wines (the Tocai was definitely my fave!). The views were absolutely stunning too. Would 100% come back again!

What a wonderful place. We've been to many vineyards for wine tastings but this is the best by far. Had tasting out under the tent with Teresa, who is very personable, full of knowledge and fun to be with. After the tasting we went up to the taproom and continued to enjoy the wine with the added charcuterie board and Hummus plate. While there one of our cellphones got miss placed. We looked high and low for it. Jen at the front desk took name, number and description of the phone. We received a call that it had been found. We returned the next day just before opening and Ron went inside to retrieve it for us. Ron checked in a few times with us during our stay. All the staff made us feel at home. We plan on returning next month for another visit with a few more people.

Millbrook Vineyards & Winery is a true hidden gem in Upstate New York. From the scenic drive in to the peaceful, rolling vineyards, everything about this place feels like a perfect escape. The wine is excellent—standouts like the Tocai Friulano and Pinot Noir really show off what the Hudson Valley has to offer. The tasting experience is relaxed and enjoyable, with knowledgeable staff who make everyone feel welcome, whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just curious. It’s also a fantastic spot to spend a full day with family and friends. You can bring a picnic, grab a bottle or two, and hang out on the terrace or in the grassy open spaces overlooking the vines. The setting is peaceful, the views are stunning, and the vibe is just right for both relaxing and celebrating. One of the best vineyard experiences in the region—can’t wait to return!

Went to the Bernie Williams and Friends Jazz concert at Millbrook Winery and it was fantastic. Lots of great people and music. The warm up band was the Dutchess County Community College jazz ensemble. They were great!!!!! Then came Bernie Williams and Friends band. With a mixture of original songs, classics and newer songs had people on their feet and dancing. The tasting of Bernie's new wines was great. The only complaint was the small number of food trucks. But the ones there had really good food. Will definitely be back next year for this event.

Six of us did a tasting at Millbrook this weekend. Justine was our wine tasting hostess. What an incredible job she did at educating us on the wines, vines, history of the vineyard and the area! Well worth the trip there
