We just got married at Millbrook Winery and truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Every time we’ve visited Millbrook, it’s been exceptional, and our wedding day was no different. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and professional. A special thank you to Stevi-Lee and Charlotte who were amazing in coordinating and setting everything up—Stevi-Lee, in particular, was outstanding from our very first meeting with her, throughout the planning process and right through to the wedding night. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made us feel so supported throughout the whole process. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, and the food on the night—flawless, as always. So many guests commented on how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. We honestly wouldn’t change a thing. The team at Millbrook played a huge part in making our night as magical as it was, and we can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone planning a wedding. We'll definitely be back to visit every anniversary (at least)!

We came to Millbrook winery for our 15th wedding anniversary and had the No Waste Monday lunch. It was one of the best meals we had eaten and the enjoyable thing about the set menu was trying food you might not have chosen normally. Their fermented ginger ale was good for me as I was driving and my wife had a very nice Rose to drink. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Treat yourself and give it a go but you'll need to book ahead.

4.5 out of 5 This is a lovely winery that’s not in Swan Valley or Margaret River but it’s 1 hour drive South from Perth CBD. It’s the only winery in the area. Serves a nice 75$ set menu. We were taken care by bubbly Chelsea. The food is very good and the starters are basically 5 small portions for the whole table (you don’t need to choose) The steak was super good and perfectly cooked. They also have a vegetarian menu. Dessert: cheese cake very good. Crem brûlée: so-so. One thing to improve: the time between meals can be a bit too long

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin to describe the absolute magic of my birthday at Millbrook Winery? My boyfriend and my daughter orchestrated the most breathtaking Valentine's Day surprise, a moment so incredibly special it's etched in my heart forever. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of pure joy, and a big part of that was thanks to the radiant Chelsea, who I believe was looking after us. Her cheerful smile was absolutely infectious! She noticed it was my birthday and her warm congratulations just added an extra layer of sweetness to an already perfect day. It truly is a blessing to have such a thoughtful boyfriend and daughter. And then, the lunch! The 5-course experience with the wine pairing was simply divine. Each course was a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that, paired with the exquisite wines, quite literally sent me to cloud nine. I was completely spellbound by the culinary artistry. But the beauty didn't stop there. Every little detail at Millbrook was just perfect. Strolling through the vineyard, admiring the charming architecture, crossing the picturesque bridge, and even noticing the intricate tiles – everything contributed to the most enchanting birthday I have ever had. Millbrook Winery isn't just a place; it's an experience, a memory in the making. The exceptional service, the phenomenal food and wine, and the stunning setting all came together to create an unforgettable day. In fact, I've always recommended Millbrook to my community, and just last week, my best friend from Indonesia and her partner spent a wonderful half-day there! Thank you, Millbrook, and thank you to my amazing boyfriend and daughter for the most cherished birthday gift imaginable. If you're looking for a truly special and memorable experience, look no further than Millbrook Winery!

Easy decision to give the Millbrook Winery’s setting five stars, simply stunning. The wine tasting was nice and the $5 charge was fair but it was a little rushed. We decided to partake of a light lunch and ordered the Bruschetta and also the pulled pork tacos. The verandah seating over the dam was stunning and the 2023 Estate Viognier superb. As for the food the bruschetta was actually a cauliflower on toast concoction, sorry no tomatoes, … 😳 and the pulled pork was on a corn chip, again 😳 The meals weren’t bad but I was expecting a higher standard from their kitchen.

Beautiful surroundings. Nice wine. Restaurant takes only booking, they have booking system that does not work. They dont pick the calls. They have only two staff even on the long weekend who take orders, sell wine , clean up and prepare grazing food, serve them, doing 4-5 people job that was lot though they were trying their best. Its been 45 minutes since we ordered a grazing board and it has not come. Bad team management. Its sad that I will never be able to tetirn here Bad

Yelp
My husband and I previously experienced excellent food at Millbrook, so we recommended a group of friends to make the long trip and join us for a special lunch yesterday. Sadly, it was anything but special. Wine service: we were about 2/3 of the way through our entrée and starting to wonder what was going on before we received our drinks...it was a very, very long wait! Shared entrée: my husband had solidly confirmed 'no pork' prior to our arrival (as I don't eat it) and yet plates of ham came to the table and we had to re-ask for an alternative (we got baked beans swimming in watery liquid). The 'truffle' egg dish had lots of black shavings on it, but after tasting, we had no idea what the black stuff was, because there was not even the faintest hint, taste or whiff of truffle flavour in the dish - it was definitely NOT truffle. The swordfish and chickpea dish was ok, but swimming in too much liquid and unseasoned and a bit tasteless. After discussion with other members of our group it was agreed that the only decent dish was the pate, and that the bread and olives were also good. Main course: The waitstaff did not announce the protein cuts of the day to the table. I had to ask as she came past to take my order, "what's the fish of the day? what's the beef of the day?" Some on our table did not think to ask, as we are used to having daily specials explained at good restaurants in this country. So two of our group ordered the beef (not having heard the private response at our end of the table) and were not only confused at what came out, they did not really like the cut and would not have ordered it had they known it was going to be pastrami (one of our group who is a 'human garbage bin' did not even finish half of his beef as it was over salted with nothing acidic or tasty on the plate that could balance the saltiness). Two of us wanted to order the chicken, but it was already sold out before we had the opportunity to order. I ordered the fish...this was cooked reasonably well, however, was completely unseasoned. The wilted lettuce and the sauce on the plate lacked any flavour whatsoever. After a couple of mouthfuls, I could not eat any more as there was nothing on the plate to balance the fish, it was a bit cloying, in fact it was completely bland and tasteless. As there was no salt or pepper on the table, I asked the waitstaff for some salt, pepper and a couple of lemon wedges (thinking that if I seasoned the fish and gave it a squeeze of lemon, it might at least be edible). The staffer came back with a dish of unground rock salt crystals and some fine quarter slices of lemon (for putting in a glass of water, not for squeezing). Naturally, I could not use either the salt crystals or the lemon for the purpose requested. I called the wait person back to see if I could at least get some table salt. The response was "sorry we don't have any of that". Consequently, I sent my fish meal back as it was simply unpleasant to try to eat a flavourless meal with no redeeming features, and, as the only other meal I had wanted had run out, I went without a main course. Those that tried the pork said it was ok, but not special. Dessert: The liquorice dessert was good. But only one of us on the table was lucky enough to have ordered that. Those that tried the brownie said it was hard (overcooked) and not great. Those of us that ordered the 'grapefruit' expected a refreshing dish that heroed grapefruit. Given the description on the menu, we had imagined perhaps some ginger biscuit crumb with fresh grapefruit wedges and some brulee on the side. What we got was rather disjointed, it was a bowl of quite nice creme brulee topped with a couple of tiny pieces of torched grapefruit; sitting unconnected next to the bowl was a stodgy, undercooked ginger biscuit that was completely incongruous with the rest of the dish. The grapefruit was, if anything an afterthought. Those of us that ordered this were baffled, and none of us finished our biscuits as they were not overly nice and a miss-match. Coffee: I ordered a decaf, only to be told that there was none. Whilst not being able to eat my main meal was the last straw, this was the icing on the cowpat cake! In summation, most of our group agreed that it was a disappointing experience, that the food was not much better than pub grub, (in fact we'd eaten substantially better at some pubs) and certainly not worth the drive. The wait staff, whilst friendly, were poorly trained and the service was definitely not up to standard. We were paying a substantial amount for fine dining. What we got was anything but - it was more like being in a Coles cafeteria! My husband and I were embarrassed to have recommended Millbrook to our friends, and to have encouraged them to make the journey - t simply wasn't worth the money or the time. And our memories of how good it has been in the past have been superseded by yesterday's experience.

Yelp
This place after my first visit has become instantly one of, if not the favourite lunch destination in WA for me. Granted it's about an hour's drive from the Perth CBD, but it is well worth the journey, especially on a beautiful spring/summer afternoon! The dinning area is set in a beautiful modern stone building overlooking a stunning landscape of dams, bush, grape vines and vegetable gardens (and helicopters, will explain in a bit...)! The menu was fantastic, and for $75 we were allowed to indulge in a full 3 course meal choosing anything off the menu. Now I need to emphasise how amazing this is, 75 bucks for some seriously world class cuisine in WA is extremely reasonable. In addition the wine list also offers a great selections of grape juice and again, at really fair prices. During our lunch we ordered the tasting plate that included cured salmon, beetroots pulled from the garden we were looking at hours before, and beautiful thinly sliced beef. We also got the home made pate as well to start just for good measure, and that was one of the best decisions of the day. AWESOME! We then backed that up with Marron and steak for mains and chocolate mouse terrine for desert :D~~~ Delicious. If you are going to head out to this place (and I strongly recommend you do), I highly recommend going all out and getting a driver to get you there and back to allow all parties to get stuck into the top notch booze. OR, helicopter is an option...yes helicopter! They literally bring you into the winery, and land meters away from the restaurant next to the dam. Next time, I'm flying there! :) In terms of cost, for the food and drinks we walked away with a total bill of around $200 which considering how much wine we went through (we were there for 3 hours!) is extraordinary good value. I would of happily paid double. And the driver was about the same, a little extra with a few mini bottles of wine to keep you occupied during the drive :) Hope this helps! Another great experience for me, I hope others have the same!

Yelp
Millbrook Winery has been one of those stunning locations that I have longedto visit for quitesome time. It is locatedon Chestnut Farm in the picturesque Jarrahdalearea about fifty minutes south of Perth. The property spans over 300 acres and is nestledin amongstgently sloping valleys bordering along the National Park whilst boasting breathtaking views across the countryside. As part of the Mushroom Mania month, I have posted a full review of Millbrook Winery on my blog Chompchomp. Read about our wonderful day out including a successful mushroom hunt!

Yelp
Millbrook, set in the tranquil and alluring surrounds of a former orchard in Jarrahdale is one of WA's prettiest wineries - the buildings are striking, the grounds and water features eye-catching. And they have put together one of the most innovative concepts of any winery restaurant - No Waste Mondays - when chef Guy Jeffreys allows his imagination to run and produce food from what is left on hand from the weekend, along with fresh produce plucked from their herb and vegetable garden, orchard and vines. There is no set menu, you get what comes from the kitchen - although allowance can be made for dietary requirements - and what outstanding food rolls out to the table - along with the chef to explain it all. We went along last week, on a wet and grey day - but sitting in the first floor dining area watching the rain sweeping across the valley and hills added another dimension to the experience - and of course the wines of Millbrook and sister wineries Smithbrook, Deep Woods and Lakes Folly are on offer - with the chance to sample a range from the tasting area downstairs. Suffice to say the wines are excellent and with a few I took home will allow me to write more detailed reviews over coming days. Then the food began.... Toasted rounds of bread, drizzled with chilli oil, were draped with flowers and leaves of tromboncino squash from the garden - cooked in whey which added a slightly sour edge to the green vegetal taste - and topped with creamy, salty house made soft cheese. Delightful. A bowl of various tomatoes, swimming in fruity olive oil, along with black olives and basil accompanied two fat, juicy, succulent charred octopus tentacles tempted next. On to the second course - crisp skinned Mandurah mullet fillets - oily, tender, served with assorted cooked cucumbers, a scatter of salty roe, exploding in the mouth, and silken, creamy sauce. A lovely dish. Next came three more dishes - first up stuffed roasted paprika - the flesh charred and sweet, the filling of rice and leeks a great textural contrast - and smoked paprika sauce added sharp, smoky flavours. Then assorted grains - rye, wheat - along with corn, Puy lentils, Israeli couscous -had been cooked with roasted pumpkin adding a sweetness to the nutty crunch, and a wonderful golden hue; with this mix a few thinly sliced rounds of pumpkin, charred and tender, and a bundle of crisp snake beans adding both colour and texture. To round out this course, fresh plums from the orchard - grilled and served with a drizzle of chilli plum sauce and a scatter of chopped nuts. Well, we were feeling the pinch by now - but then a palate cleanser set us up for dessert - a bunch of grapes from the vineyard we could see out the window, served on a vine leaf and a good grind of chilli salt - this was outstanding with the sweetness of the grapes complemented by the salty, zestiness of the condiment - a great idea - and on getting home I made up some chilli salt and have used it on strawberries and bananas to similar stunning effect! And now to dessert - a wodge of rich chocolate mousse cake, with white chocolate and ginger ice cream, scattered white chocolate, and macadamias from the orchard outside. Stunning. A perfect conclusion to a superb meal. The food at Millbrook has always impressed and No Waste Monday exemplifies the creativity and skill of the kitchen - if you love good food, then the drive to Jarrahdale is well worth while. It is a wonderful day out - food, wine, beautiful scenery - marvellous.

Yelp
Millbrook Winery is one of those places that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and retreat for a few hours. The vineyard slopes towards wine cellar and restaurant. The Roman God, Dionysus, a God of wine and vegetation overlooking the estate, the scene is picture perfect. The garden is so lovely that you could even request for the staff at Millbrook to organise a picnic for you rather than opt for a table at the restaurant. The restaurant provided amazing views of the vineyards, it was airy, bright and modern. Head chef Guy Jeffreys focuses his menu on using all the freshly grown produce from the large property, which includes 150 year old growing citrus, stone fruit, figs, quince and apples, and an acre sized garden filled with over 100 varieties of vegetables. Herbs, free-range eggs, wild mushrooms, olives and honey are also sourced from the estate. We decided to order the prix fixe menu ($75), which consisted of an entree, main, dessert with two sides and complementary homemade sourdough bread. The service at Millbrook was pleasant. The staff were friendly, and we had a lovely waitress, who was knowledgeable about the dishes and the produce, who unfortunately was called away to serve a private function and as a result there was no one to look after our table and we seemed to have been forgotten We drove back to the city in comfortable silence content with full bellies and lungs full of fresh country air and a rather nice nap in the car for me.

Yelp
This is my favourite Perth winery. The setting is so serene and peaceful as your surrounded by water, vineyards, hills and bushland. The stone building itself is very attractive. It makes you feel like you're in Italy. The restaurant has its own garden which provides many of the delicious vegetables, flowers and herbs for their excellently prepared dishes - paddock to plate eating which I love. It's inspired me as I grow organic vegetables too.

Yelp
On a sunny Summer Saturday afternoon, two of us cruised in to the Millbrook Winery grounds in Jarrahdale on a Harley Davidson. Not one of those really loud ones, but we startled the birds nonetheless. Parking under a tree, once the engine was off, we dismounted to take in the surrounds. Wind whispering through the fruit trees, birds twittering, late harvest grapes, plump and juicy, shimmering in the sun and beckoning from the vines. The stone facade of the building, overlooking the man made lake, was very inviting. It seems we were early, joining only one other trio in the cellar. The staff were very smiley and welcoming and didn't mind a chat, whilst remaining professional. I'm sure they've heard questions like mine over and over, yet the responses were patient and informative (about where the grapes come from -- they have three other associated vineyards in WA and NSW). Many of the wines are produced on the property. The Riesling and the Shiraz Viognier (i know - a white grape in with a red?!) were my favourites to the point of buying a mixed case. At the offer of 30% off, how could I resist? The purpose of the visit was all about the food and the experience. We were not disappointed. The entrees were sufficient in size, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The mains were very generous and although not as 'pretty' as the entrees, still delivered on taste. Many of the ingredients were grown within the grounds. The restaurant is situated above the cellar door and has a range of seating, all with a view to vines, lake and old growth forests. There is indoor and outdoor (terrace) seating and the building is sufficiently air conditioned. The service was extremely personable and professional. We grazed for around three hours and not once did we feel pressured to hurry up. Before we knew it, the restaurant was about half full, with lots of happy faces and a positive buzz amongst our fellow diners. Our plates were left until we were finished, with the mains appearing after the entree within a suitable break period in order to savour the after-taste. The price was, as expected, towards the higher end. But if you make the trek out to Jarrahdale, for a special occasion, you will not be disappointed. Big ticks to all facets of a great meal: location, service, food (and wine) quality, presentation and indulgence.

Yelp
This place is just beautiful. About an hours drive south of Perth (not a really scenic drive), this winery has phantastic landscaping and nice gardens to walk around. We reserved on a sunday for lunch and were told that only 12.00 and 14.00 were available. Other times completely booked out. I would have preferred the 12.30 slot but OK. Ironically, we stayed from 12 till 14.00 and the restaurant was nearly empty, max 20% occupation so I suppose the booking hoax is to hype up the place a bit. The food was excellent and very nicely presented. We went for the vegetarian platters with gnocchi and zucchini and side garden salads. Afterwards wine tasting, but as it is, wine is a matter of taste amd nobody in our party of 4 found much joy in the presented wines. We enjoyed thoroughly our stay, finished with so e walking and drove back, the wallet 296 $ lighter, which looking back makes me conclude that Millbrook is vastly overpriced for what is offered, but from time to time these oversoends make fun.

Yelp
My wife and I went to The Millbrook Winery for a very close friends wedding.....and can I say " STUNNING "....the drive to the winery is only half an hour from where I live in Maddington....right from the South West Highway turn off you have some Amazing Countryside to look at. The small town of Jarrahdale is a town you would want to live in and the distance from the town to Millbrook is minimal. From the distance you can see Millbrook Winery..small and picturesque!....absolutely STUNNING! From the carpark to the beautiful building that is the MILLBROOK WINERY you are in AWE! The beauty...the history and the surrounding of mother nature in all its Glory is Magnificent! The Kangaroos in the fields and the Black cockatoos flying around is an awesome reminder that we live in the greatest country in the world... Australia. " THE FOOD ".......for something soooooo hidden away must have some of the best CHEF'S this country has to offer....." THE FOOD " ....." ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ". The " VIEWS " absolutely " INCREDIBLE ". The staff and the facilities are perfect! " I easily give the " MILLBROOK WINERY " a 9 /10.
