Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Our son really likes this adventure, we went on it twice in our time at the park. The setup going in is pretty fun and detailed, including being inside the interior of the Millennium Falcon...so cool! I think I would have been happy just hanging out the whole time in the central space where there's the infamous chess table. You get to do different 'jobs' in the cockpit - I think the two most fun are pilot and gunner (2 each). There's a chance of motion sickness if you're sensitive, but we were fine.

Took a trip with friends to Disneyland in August 2025. I was at Disney last year but didn’t do this ride so had to give it a go. It was our last ride of the day. The line was about 35 minutes long the shortest it had been all day so clearly we had to. Once inside with all of the intricate twists and turns I realized why the length of time. Thankfully it moved pretty quickly and while it did I took pictures of all of the detail that they made sure to get. The realism was uncanny. We got to the divide we were asked how many in our party and pointed in directions to stand. Characters came around and never broke character and gave us our assignments. Doors opened and we climbed into the “vessel”. Our group of four was joined by a mother and her young son. Our ship took off and the games began. Two of my friends were responsible for piloting and navigating and myself, another friend, and the young son were gunners. Oh my gosh! My friend piloting kept crashing which made the whole “vessel” shake and buck. It was hilarious and put all of us including the mom and son into complete fits of laughter. We barely made it from the docking station because we couldn’t stop cackling and sliding around and shaking with the ride the whole time. It was absolutely great and a perfect way to end the day! Highly recommend doing this ride with people who can have a good time and don’t take things like this too seriously and you will also have a blast and a half!

I’m a Star Wars fan so naturally this ride was so much fun! If you’re sensitive to rapid motion movements this is not a ride for you. It’s a very interactive ride and you can either be a pilot, a mechanic or a gunfighter. I always have a blast going on this ride!

Fantastic ride. Loved the interactive aspect of being responsible for helping my group on a ride. Definitely recommend giving this a try at least 3-4 times. Highly recommend this one!

Fun family experience—great ride for Star Wars fans! We had a great time on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run! It was really fun to do as a family, since you ride with a small group and each person gets a role to play—we got to “fly” the Falcon together, which made it even more exciting. The whole experience is well-designed and immersive, from the queue to the cockpit. Definitely a must-try if you’re into Star Wars or just looking for a fun interactive ride at Disneyland.

It’s cool but low key shouldn’t the old people get to be the pilot? They always let the kids do it. They have like ten decades to be able to experience it, I’ve got like a handful if I’m lucky. Let the old guys experience it.

I love this ride. I love Star Wars. This invokes Star Wars to a whole new level. I think this is better than Rise of the Resistance. Hot take. But if you have a good group of people, all roles within the ship can be fun, even the engineer! Love this ride and has become a staple to the Disneyland line up.

I love this ride and that it can be updated. It would be nice if there were a view port for the gunners and engineers in the back, sometimes you get lost doing your parts of the ride. Superfun. Plus it's usually a walk on basically. If it's 20 or under that 20 minutes is walking.

So this is like an updated and more interactive Star Tours. We were a group of six which is perfect because 6 people board the falcon. 2 of us were pilots, 2 were gunners, and two were engineers. I really like this ride bc everyone had to work together. Fantastic idea for a ride to build teamwork. Each role is important and everyone's score contributes to the overall team score. Only caveat is that if you don't like video games you might not like this because it might take a couple of rides to get good at it.

In theory, Smugglers Run is great. A group of you and your friends get to sit in the cockpit and fly the Millennium Falcon. It's a more interactive version of Star Tours which is already an iconic Disneyland ride. However, you quickly learn that if you're a gunner, you're just hitting the same button over and over again. If you're the mechanic, you might hit a few more buttons throughout the ride. And if you're the pilot, a couple buttons and a switch to go into hyperdrive. It all feels like really passive interactivity. In the end, I was honestly disappointed that I waited almost an hour to ride the ride. With that said, there is still something cool about walking through the common area of the ride & sitting in the cockpit. If you have a big enough group of friends to take all 6 seats and the wait isn't too long, I'd say go for it. It's a fun group activity. However, if there's a long line or you are a smaller group that is going to get paired with some strangers, it might not be as much fun as you anticipated.

I can see this being a major hit or miss, especially depending on your party members/position. It could have been so much better... Most people will be underwhelmed, especially against the quality of the superb Rise of the Resistance. There's 6 positions on this ride. 2 pilots - the one sitting on the right side/seat is best/main pilot since you get to control the additional warp speed lever. The right side pilot controls the up/down of the vehicle with one large lever. The left side pilot controls the left/right of the vehicle with one lever. So it's a team work type of thing. Everyone will fight over being a pilot because that's the best position, unless you just have anxiety of having such task. The 2 seats in the middle are "gunners" that just press buttons to fire weapons. The last 2 seats are the "engineers" where they also just press buttons that light up to "fix" the aircraft. I went to the Single Rider line and I was instantly on the ride! Of course, using this line, you will most likely end up getting the leftover, very backseat "engineer" positions. Lucky for me, the family that I was paired up with, the little daughter didn't want to be the pilot, so she let me have the position! xD It is cool to sit in the very front. To be honest, despite the fact that the other person is controlling part of your movement, it still doesn't really feel like you're flying the actual thing because there's already lots of parts that's clearly pre-determined/restricted with automated cutscenes. I bet being a gunner/engineer is even more depressing/boring just smashing bunch of random buttons. They should have made it so each seat/position has an actual key, crucial individual spotlight role during parts of the flight to make it more fun. Like for example, in the middle of the flight, they can tell the right seated gunner to hit the color light pattern quickly in a certain order, or simultaneously sync with the left gunner, or else the whole ride shakes and drops... or something more exciting than just random buttons that really has no real impact. They really should have thought out the interactive part better. Disney should honestly head back to the drawing boards for this ride. I always see the wait time for this ride to be lower, like 25-30 minutes at most; it usually doesn't get to 40-50 minutes unless the superior Rise of the Resistance is broken down. It's fine if you don't get a chance to experience/ride this. But Rise of the Resistance is a must before you leave Disneyland.

This ride is a bit of a disappointment. The set is immersive and impressive as is all of Star wars land. The problem is that the ride portion is designed to be interactive and it's a dud. I went on a Sunday and for most of the day it was a 10-minute displayed wait time, but I can tell you this means there is basically no line and no wait. It's pretty telling what people think of the ride from the lack of the line.

I am a big Han Solo fan and the Millennium Falcon is my favorite ship from the Star Wars movies. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was the first ride that opened inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when the themed land opened in 2019. It is a motion simulator ride that lets six different people sit inside the cockpit of the Falcon. Each person is assigned the role of either the pilot, gunner or engineer as you jump into hyperspace towards a new adventure. I am usually not a fan of motion simulator rides because I get motion sickness so easily. But after riding Smugglers Run for the first time, I felt just fine and have been on the ride several times now. The thing that I love most about this ride is being able to stand next to the actual Millennium Falcon out front. Once inside, you can walk around the inside of the ship as you wait for the ride to start. They have a makeshift holochess table that you can sit at that was featured in the Star Wars movies. In the Star Wars universe, the game itself is called Dejarik and was Chewbacca's favorite game. One of my favorite Star Wars characters is Hondo Ohnaka and he is your guide on the ride. Overall, I enjoy going on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened not too long afterwards and is a lot more fun in my opinion. But I still love them both. I'm just happy that Disney created this land for us Star Wars fans. It is fun walking around Galaxy's Edge and getting all those nostalgic feelings from being a life-long Star Wars fan.

Probably my least enjoyable experience at Disneyland, and I am a huge Star Wars fan. The lines were twice as long as advertised, the route was claustrophobic with few places to sit and rest, and people were generally rude and grumpy, which made the wait experience probably one of the worst ever. The ride at the end was nothing special. Should have invested our time somewhere else. On the plus side, Star Wars Land itself was wonderful, with several character encounters (such as Chewbacca and Kylo Ren) and unusual food and gift choices. My advice - go to Star Wars Land, skip the rides.

The interactive aspect of this ride is unique for sure and the fact that different roles have different responsibilities is cool too. I'm not really into Star Wars so I can't really comment on the accuracy or the hype factor it'd have on a fan, but it's a fun ride to try at least once and it's worth it if the wait isn't long either. However, I feel like anything over a 30 minute wait would make this ride wholly not worth it. There are single rider lanes too if it helps to speed up your wait. When you enter the ride, as with the newer attractions at the park, there's lots to look at! You get assigned into color groups to board your ship, you get instructions on your Smugglers Run, and there's a separate waiting room with seats and buttons you can press before you get on the actual ride. Before you get on the ride, you're assigned as either pilots, gunners, or engineers. Based on what we saw, I feel like the pilot roles would be the most difficult as you'd have to maneuver, navigate, and there's multiple different things to engage with and you're looking at the huge screen in front. Gunner would be rapid fire pressing buttons and my boyfriend and I were engineers (pressing various buttons and flipping switches when they light up to repair the ship). Your crew is scored at the end (we got an 85%) and the damages are also factored in as well. I guess this ride really tests your ability to multitask as it was hard, at least for me to pay attention to what was going on in front of the ship and then turn around to also push the necessary buttons and flip the switches. I can imagine the frustration though if you get grouped with people who don't get what's going on or children who suck (no offense lol).

Wow, what a ride to do, one that pulls you in and makes you a part of the ride itself. If you have never had the chance to partake in this ride, you know what I mean. If you haven't had the chance to partake in this ride, just know you are in for a massive 'what just went on' moment. When we were waiting for our turn in the vehicles we played around with the area we were standing in. We pushed a few buttons and thought we were going to be yelled at by the cast members, but in fact we were encouraged to continue. After that, we were escorted to our vehicle and told the jest of the ride. At this point, I think it is best to inform you that doing this ride with just three people is not the easiest thing to do. We were underprepared for this and going forward, if I ever return, I would make sure that we had more people with us for our ride. You need at least four to complete this ride. Two for steering and one for each other section. Listen, if I thought it was possible any other way, I wouldn't be saying this. But I was in the steering section and I was overwhelmed. It is nearly impossible to control both steering sides. One steers vertically and one steers horizontally, it is nearly impossible to maneuver the ship to complete your mission. However, as it may be nearly impossible, it is not completely impossible to accomplish. We somehow managed to complete our mission and make it to the end of this ride in victory. Albeit a little sorer as I was reaching all ways to accomplish 'flying.' Is it worth the hype, probably not. But it is worth the time once you are already in the Star Wars area of the park.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run is an interactive ride that takes guests on an adventure through the galaxy. The ride is much like an immersive video game. Each rider is assigned a role. Roles include pilots, gunners and engineers. Points are given for how everyone interacts with and how accurately they perform their positions. It is easy to get engrossed in one's assigned roles, and not really pay attention to what everyone else is doing. As someone who easily gets dizzy on these types of rides, I appreciated being assigned the position of engineer. Engineers are responsible for fixing the ship. This meant I got to focus on clicking blinking lights on a panel rather than focusing on the screen. I did look up a couple of time to see the screen, but I didn't get nearly as dizzy as I do on Star Tours. Much like the rest of Galaxy's Edge, the ride is well themed. Star Wars fans, young and old, will delight on getting to board the infamous Millennium Falcon. The que is decorated. Everything is made to immerse guests into the world if Star Wars.

The line was 60 minutes do we went in the single rider line. The wait was then 15 minutes. We actually got to sit next to each other that was a treat. The ride was good. It's mostly visual effects. It's a lot light star tours, but much more advanced. The car jiggles around and the screen shows you where you going.

While the line can feel a bit claustrophobic at times the ride is so worth it. I've been to Disney's many times and this was such a new take on the other rides. If ptu love Star Wars it is so worth the wait in line. If you get motion sickness I recommend either taking something g a head of time to keep it at bay or slip out on it. So fun!

Be honest: you've always wanted to fly the Falcon. And if you're any friend of mine, you've dreamed of saying, "punch it, Chewie!" Or better yet, pretended you ARE Chewie while pulling that lever and blasting into hyperspace. So when this ride opened, lifelong nerds such as myself rejoiced. It was amazing to see the Falcon in person. Then you get to see fan-favorite (if you like the Star Wars animated shows. If you don't, you're wrong): Hondo Onaka on all his weequay glory. Then you get to WALK THROUGH THE FALCON!!! And sit at the Dejarik board! And see several nods to the movies while you await your turn to enter the cockpit. Then, my friends- your moment has arrived. I'm not ashamed to admit I teared up a little when stepping into that cockpit. Sitting down in Chewie's seat. That could have been the end of the experience and I'd be a happy customer. But then you GET TO FLY!!! AND YOU GET TO PUNCH IT!!!! Okay I'm getting too excited here. There are 3 roles to play: pilot, gunner, and engineer (2 each, for a total of 6 people at a time). You basically press the buttons when they light up and work together to retrieve (legally? Who knows?) a shipment of coaxiom to earn money for both Hondo and the Resistance- win-win! It's a more technical Star Tours-type simulation ride. The pilots actually control the movement of the ship (so if you happen to six- and eight-year-old pilots, you might want to take your bonine for this one. I speak from experience). The ride itself is decently fun, being the pilot is most enjoyable but it's difficult. But, as a lifelong Star Wars nerd, the experience is the best part. May the Force be with you!

I'm a bit disappointed with this ride. Like others said, it's like a different version of Star Tours. They assign you different positions such as Gunner or Pilot. 4 positions in all. Super long wait for a just okay ride. You're traveling through warp speed, dodging the Empire and shooting their ships. Also, it kind of sucks because most everyone wants to be the pilot, and there can only be one. They don't allow you to choose and just assign you. You can ask to wait, but they may or may not accommodate you. One part of our group was able o wgy their choice while the other was not due to the long wait times. Extremely fast ride, and when you go inside, there are a couple of picture opportunities, but this ride was just okay in our opinion.

Had a rough trip on this ride the pilot was a four year old that could barely reach the controls and didn't know her left from her right. She kept arguing with me and told me to be quiet because I was only the co-pilot. We kept crashing into things and there was a complete lack of communication. We made our delivery but we caused so much damage to the ship we owed more money than we made. Also my gunner was a project manager that just kept hitting the buttons and wasn't even aiming for ships attacking us.

My husband and I lightning laned this ride only 5 minutes ahead of our arrival time to Rise of the Resistence so we went in here. This is a very immersive experience but the gist of the attraction is that you sit in a row of two and are assigned a role to play on an interactive motion simulator. I was having trouble hearing the preshow talk whick I later learned was given by Hondo Ohnaka. However, I did like the fact that before boarding my husband and I got to pose in a Star Wars themed cantina style table. Apparently we were on some sort of smuggling mission aboard the Millenium falcon. We were given a color and for some reason we got the assignment as the pilots. We sat in the cockpit of the famous vehicle jumping into hyperspace for our adventure and back again later. My husband controlled the vehicle left and right while I controlled it up and down. I must admit this was a fun and challenging experience and seeing what it would be like from Hans and Chewbacca's point of view. The Hollywood studios counterpart: I have not been to the Hollywood studios to ride this attraction but I would assume that it would be similiar. They provide you with a game on the Disney parks app if you want to get more familiar with it. Located in Star Wars-Galaxy's edge in Disneyland.

Stepping into the cockpit of the iconic ship was like diving headfirst into the Star Wars universe. The thrill of being part of a daring mission was palpable as we each took on different roles, making every ride feel fresh and engaging. The level of excitement soared as we navigated through space, dodging obstacles, and striving to complete our mission. The attention to detail in the ride's design and the immersive storytelling truly made it an unforgettable adventure for every Star Wars enthusiast in our family.

In comparison to Rise of the Resistance (ROTR), this ride doesn't compare. It's still a fun ride if wait time is 30 minutes or less. There is a single rider, but typically you will get the Engineer every time. Also, this is an attraction available with Genie+ but personally it's a ride I skip unless I come for ROTR.

This ride is great real intense the inside is so cool I had a great experience I'm so happy I finally got to go on this ride all the staff were really nice I highly recommend this ride .

Soo exciting especially if you have kids, but not necessarily lol. Fly the Millennium Falcon on a thrilling interactive smuggling mission, hands on. First time here and it was fun..... but maybe because I am not a gamer it's just a one time for me or whenever it's not so busy. Luckily we had a genie pass for this/ lines are long

Went here six times, always after going straight to Star Wars: Rise of The Resistance, four times, first thing in the four mornings when they opened the gates. Went in the standby line, singles line, with less than a 5 minute wait. Only problem with the singles line is that you always end up filling a single vacancy in the third row, the engineer spot. Six person crew, pilot on the right, co pilot on the left in the first row, gunners in the second row, and engineers in the third row. Gunners and engineers simply push buttons on the side instrument panels as they light up, away from the direction of the space ship . Piece of cake to get a 100% score. We went in the regular line once, and were paired up with a family of four. Originally we would be engineers, but the two young girls were too scared to be pilots, and so we gladly took their place. Pilot on right has a lever that goes up and down, and pilot on left has a lever for going right and left. The levers are simply for scoring, they don't control the ship in the predetermined flight pattern trying to shoot down a rogue space train. Graphics are a bit two dimensional, and pilots facing forward have the best view, engineers in the third row facing sideways have the worst view. I'm from Silicon Valley, where engineering is a very lucrative profession, but not here on this ride, where you don't want to be an engineer.

This ride is one of the best in the entire park. You feel like you're actually IN a Star Wars movie. My son piloted the Millennium Falcon with a man who couldn't believe his good luck I gave him my co-pilot seat. His wife and I sat behind them, punching buttons to fire upon enemy ships. The sights of jumping into hyper speed and narrowly missing ships and asteroids with shaking as we took firepower from screaming Tie-Fighters, just amazing, So far this was the best Star Wars Galaxy's Edge ride, worth an hour wait if you don't have Lightning Lane access.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run gets a solid two stars for the hands down meh ride. The honey and I ended up with the roles of Engineer and like life, it's one of the nicest roles since you just push buttons. That being said, having to push buttons entirely takes away from your enjoyment of the ride since you're always just keeping an eye on the console that's on your side (and not in front of you) instead of enjoying the screen. Overall, the decor you see as you walk to the ride is almost more interesting than the ride itself, and I can easily see it being replaced in the coming years.

We were able to fly with just our group, which was nice because my previous experience with this included children who argued and screamed at each other every time one of them made a mistake. So it was really peaceful to just be our group. We still didn't do that great but at least it was fun.

3 stars I guess I'm not that big of a Star Wars fan and found this attraction to be more videogame-like and unappealing to me. If I thought I was bad at flying games before, then this ride showed me that I am actually frickin terrible at it. So, the ride starts off as some type of mission and we, the riders, are supposed to retrieve it. And we have to go with a team of 6. Two pilots in front, two gunmen in the middle, and two engineers in the back. I was a pilot, mistake #1, and I wanted to switch with other players, but realized that the only shooting game I'm good at is Nintendo's Duck Hunt, which I played in the 90s. Then, the role of engineer, which requires one to push all the buttons that light up, scared me because I've never done well at Simon Says (the light-up one) or Whack-A-Mole and etc. Mistake #2 is not switching with one of the engineers b/c, even if I were to fail, I'll be a private failure whilst sitting in the back. As anyone can imagine, we crashed our vehicle multiple times...thank God I was only in charge of the left/right switch. The other pilot had to push buttons and maneuver up/down switch. I shudder at the thought of being the other pilot... I don't think this ride was meant for me. But it was pretty cool to look at and, b/c I was so focused, I didn't feel the typical feelings of nausea that I would have felt on simulation rides. The estimated wait time was supposed to be 50 minutes, but I got in within 10 minutes. Not sure why though. Obviously, if you're a huge Star Wars fan, I imagine this ride is a dream come true. But if you are bad at videogames like me, ask for the engineering position, so that you can fail without shame.

Yep, it's the "other" Star Wars ride that has a really long line, just not as long as the Rise of the Resistance experience. Lots to look at and absorb as you wait in line. Pretty fun and very immersive as well though, also a motion simulator, as you attempt a smuggling mission aboard the famous airship. Once aboard the iconic Millennium Falcon you are in charge! Yes you! There's no Hans or Chewie to help you out on this one, you and your crew are on your own. You'll be assigned roles; Gunner, Pilot, and Engineer, all with specific duties during your run. You will either be a successful crew or you will be turned to scrap. There actually isn't a whole lot of explaining, unless I always miss it, it can be a little confusing as to what exactly you are supposed to do. I always just wing it and still have fun anyway. Nice job of re-creating and seeming realistic... as always, Disney. CHEERS!

Live your nerd dreams piloting the Millennium Falcon. They've recreated a full-size replica outside of the ride and inside they've detailed it just like the movies, right down to the analog-future 70s aesthetic control panels and graphic user-interfaces and alien chess board set. The wait is actually interesting as they've taken care to design the line as part of the experience, time flew much faster waiting in this 30 minute line compared to the older rides that just have you zigzagging back and forth for 15 minutes. Most of the queue is also in dark, cool rooms or shaded, a much needed break from the harsh summer sun. You can choose between pilot, gunner, and engineer roles for this ride. You really feel more integrated into the interactive movie because of the iconic canopy frame and each role needing to hit buttons or steer during different parts of the ride. At the end you will be graded for your performance, we scored very low probably thanks to my son and I. The motion and sound are great as well, the hyperspace parts feeling so real my son threw his arms up like he was on a roller coaster. Sound is a bit loud but my 4 year old handles it fine.

Easily our new favorite ride in the park! What Star Wars nerd hasn't dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon?! Well, now you can...and poorly, most likely! My wife and I rode this ride upward of seven times during our two days. If you're lucky, hit the ride after 10pm, and you can get in several runs. Here's how it works: it's like Star Tours, but you (well, two of you) pilot the ship. There are six positions within the cockpit: two pilots, two gunners, and two engineers. The left pilot controls *only* the left and right movements of the ship, while the right pilot controls *only* the up and down movements. This makes for some hilarious chaos, and requires trust, communication, coordination and (despite Obi-Wan's disbelief), luck. Your objective is simple: the pilots maneuver and position the ship behind a cargo train, the gunners blast away its defenses, and the engineers steal the cargo, while repairing the inevitable damage to the ship. Succeed, and you continue for another round (at least once, possibly more?). Fail, and your mission can end early. The gunner position involves mostly hitting a big flashing button whenever an enemy ship or obstacle crosses over your targeting reticle display. I never actually held the gunner position, so I cannot detail everything that is involved in the role. It honestly looked like the most boring of the roles, surprisingly. The engineer role is more fun: it requires you to hit several flashing buttons to mitigate damage to the ship (which *will* happen, frequently), as well as recover the exposed cargo, once the train's defenses are blown away. Grabbing the loot requires the pilots to line up effectively (very hard to do), so that the engineer's targeting reticle is aligned with the target. Expect a lot of yelling back and forth between these two roles in particular! Normally, the ride is guided/narrated by a shady character named Hondo, to help you figure out what to do amidst all the chaos. However, there is a secret mode, called "Chewie mode", where Hondo's instructions are replaced with grunts, roars and trills from a frequently upset Chewbacca, who is not a fan of your crappy piloting and damaging the ship. It's hilarious, but not for beginners, and requires all six players to enter a series of specific button presses into the console after everyone has sat down and buckled in, and *before* the ride employee starts the ride. Message me for the instructions, or ask the ride employee nicely, and they may enable it for you! My first experience was as right pilot, and honestly, I wouldn't choose another position. Sure, you may only control the up/down movement of the ship, but you also get to throw the switch and put the Falcon into hyperdrive, and that by itself is worth the price of admission! But be warned: piloting the Millennium Falcon ain't like dusting crops, boy!

My daughter and I took a quick trip out to Disneyland during the second week of September. We have rode the Millennium Flacon: Smugglers Run at Disney World's Hollywood Studios, but not at Disneyland. We rode it once, no wait time, at Disneyland, early morning on a Sunday. This ride is located in Galaxy's Edge, just passed Frontierland or Fantasyland. The walk-through of the queue is amazing! It felt like you were truly within Star Wars. You get to see a full size replica Millennium Falcon and  feel like you're inside it throughout the queue! The ride is 3D motion, very similar to Star Tours. Inside, there are 6 different roles, 2 pilots, 2 gunners and 2 engineers. My daughter and I were required to be pilots. We had a single rider join us as a gunner. The detail inside the ride was amazing! Disney really went above and beyond for this ride. As the pilots you needed to get the order sequence correct for take off, landing, and during the flight. During your flight, you'll score points and at the end, you'll receive a full score of how well you did! If you're visiting Disneyland, this is a must ride, especially if you're a big fan of Star Wars!! Don't ride it though if you get motion sickness easily.

This was the one ride in Galaxy's Edge the fam and I decided to use our first lightning lane reservation on. Totally worth it. The wait was about 15 minutes, mostly walking toward the front of the line/ride entrance. There's a cast member that explains the roles for each passenger. 6 riders fit in one aircraft and this ride does have a single rider lane. The single rider does not get preference for what spot they want. There are two pilots (front), two shooters (mid) and 2 mechanics (back). Its a virtual interactive ride that still has the thrills and enjoyment of an actual roller coaster IMO. I don't always enjoy virtual rides but this one was entertaining enough. Would be nice to ride multiple times to try different duties. If you don't mind splitting up the party and forfeiting the pilot seat, I'd say check out the single rider. The wait time seems to consistently stay on the higher side throughout the day and night...

I have always wanted to do a Kessel Run but alas my name is not Solo I did have the opportunity to do a Smugglers Run and for me, I wish I had stayed at Mos Eisley. The wait time was long but there's plenty to keep your eyes entertained. There is so much going on as you eventually make your way to your hanger. Once at the hanger bay, you and your team are assembled and given tasks inside the cockpit of the Falcon. I was upfront on the left. I was one of the pilots and my specific task was to keep the Falcon balanced and stabilized between left and right. We got going and no joke, this hunk of junk moved out but little did I know that the frontal display was too much for me, and became extremely nauseous. Just when I could take any more, the Falcon came to a stop but the display kept going and going. Our sim was down. I was thankful and almost smiled thinking that the experience was over but our 'guide' came to get us and take us to another cockpit. As we walked to another cockpit, the allure and magic left as you soon realize that are about 10-12 cockpit sim rooms in the ride. We get back into our seats and start the sim again and at least this time we were able to finish. Thankfully, I was not as nauseous as I was the first time, but I did need to recoup a little bit afterward. My group went back to ride again and I thankfully stayed behind at Hanger Bay 7 for some Rotto Wraps. Smugglers Run when working and if you are not affected by the motion and frontal screen can be an amazing experience, it just wasn't for me. Enjoy and don't forget to look under the seat for the gold pair of dice.

There are 6 positions per group in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, 2 pilots, 2 gunners, and 2 engineers. The pilot and gunner positions are pretty self explanatory. The engineers primarily fixes damages sustained by the ship. Even though I've only been on this ride as a single rider which usually means that I'll be one of the engineers, it's still a fun interactive ride. Occasionally, the group that I join will let me be one of the gunners. I have yet to be one of the pilots. The last time I was on this ride, the cast member actually had me join a 2 man crew, so it was just the 3 of us. I never knew you could have only a 3 man crew. Hondo will guide you through the run, but you can pretty much just push the buttons that light up to accomplish your mission.

Smugglers was the greatest thing at Disneyland until ROTR came along and knocked it off the cliff. They have Genie or Stand By for this ride. Lucky I had Genie and the time was fast. Stand By is probably 30 min - 2 hour wait all day. Genie, the wait was like 10 minutes after you enter. Interactive ride. 3 pairs, 3 jobs. Driver is tough. I did not know there was breaks. lol. Would be a lot more fun if they directed you before you ride. I felt confused most of the time and missed some of the scenes looking for buttons. I rode Smugglers and ROTR for the first time back to back this past visit. Should not have rode ROTR first. Worth a try but I would not wait for this one.

Single Riders Line + Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Ride, woohoo!!! Location: Star Wars: Galxay's Edge. I looooove rides with Single Riders Line! However, my friend pointed out that the wait is only 15 mins, and we can go together, lol! Ok, that's fine, especially, since this was my first-time riding this and I wanted to see the inside and of course, take pictures, hehe! Also, I can ask my friend on what I'm supposed to do when we get closer to the ride, and she gave me tidbits on what to expect as we go through the attraction. This is a 3D Simulation Ride (similar to The Simpsons at Universal Studios), but it's a lot jerkier - filled with tons of twists, turns and bumps along the way. Depending on the pilots' driving, you may or may not get that much motion sickness, bwahaha! The Dad in our group was the primary pilot (with his son being the co-pilot) and he did a great job, lol! Mission Goal: Retrieve the Coaxoim as instructed by Honda Ohnaka (Smuggling Pirate from The Clone Wars series). You'll see him and hear him talk before entering your assigned colored ships and positions. At the end, you'll get to see the scores on how your team did. I honestly didn't care what scores we got since I was so enthralled with the whole experience. The Millennium Falcon ride consists of a Group of 6. We were assigned the yellow ships and following positions: +Two Pilots: These two will mainly be driving the ship and be responsible for getting the crew back to safety while retrieving the Coaxoim. +Two Gunners: The two middles seat shooters - protecting the crew and shooting the enemies. +Two Engineers: The two easiest positions. From what I'm told, you practically do nothing while sitting in the back row (except maybe pushing a button from time to time). Perfect for me since I wanted to watch and video the whole experience first. We switched with the Dad and his son since they wanted the Pilot positions. It cracked me up when the Dad told me that the Engineers don't really do anything (which kind of rang true because there are some Engineers at my job that don't do nothing and/or hardly anything anyways, lol!). The Smugglers Ride was definitely fun, and I had a great time! The details are amazing and great for many photo opportunities. I was bummed that Chewie (or any of the other Star Wars characters) weren't walking around, but I did get a picture of Kylo Ren outside on the balcony above and so it's all good, lol!

Amazing detail throughout the entire que and ride but at the end of the day, it was just another simulator attraction. For what it was, it was fun and they did a great job making you feel like you were actually flying on the Millennium Falcon and for die hard fans and children, that's amazing. To me, it was just ok. Maybe it's because I was expecting a lot more from Disney when they first announced all this and I allowed my hopes to run too high, but it was a bit of a let down for me. Not just this ride, but the land as a whole. I was here before the other ride opened up and based on video I've seen, it looks amazing. This one, to me, was fun but as stated above, nothing all that special.

The Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run at Disneyland is the second best ride in Galaxy's Edge. When you rope drop to Rise of the Resistance and it's "temporarily closed", at least you can make a quick detour to this one. Pilot role is best.

I really hate this ride, and I'm a huge Star Wars nerd. There are two major reasons I don't ever want to experience this attraction again, so I'll get straight to the point: 1. It's Stressful The ride seats 6 people, and you're randomly assigned a position of either pilot, gunner, or engineer. Only the pilots really have anything fun to do, as they get to "fly" the Falcon. The rest of you will be stuck in the back smacking buttons sideways. I was an engineer, so I had to spend the whole ride turned sideways, getting motion sickness while I had to rush to push buttons that would light up. Here's the worst part, and why it's so stressful: if you don't do a good job and hit all the buttons quickly and accurately enough, the ride ends quickly. Yes, if you stink at your assigned "job," everyone else on the ride will be mad at you. 2. There's No Emotional Connection to Star Wars. I mean, when I step on the Falcon, I expect to see Han Solo or at least Chewbacca. They're nowhere to be found. Instead there's some new bounty hunter character who basically yells at you during the whole ride. This thing is such a huge disappointment. I only rode this once, and I've never wanted to do it again.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan and this is another great ride at Disneyland. Line was short, fun and thrilling rides but also good for kids. Definitely a must ride

Eh, it was okay. I wouldn't say it lived up to the Millenium Falcon's reputation. Riders experience the ride in 1 of 3 roles: a pilot, a gunner, or an engineer. My 6yo son was a gunner and loved it. I was an engineer and mostly pushed a few buttons when they lighted up. I was ....underwhelmed. My son wanted to do it again, but it was an easy pass for me. He rode it again with his mother who felt the same as I did. The rest of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is super cool. Props to the Disney team for creating this new part of the park. Maybe next time we'll pick up some lightsabers! :-P

This ride is a lot of fun! As a Gen X Star Wars fan, this is the ride you wish we had back in 1980, fortunately, it is here for us now! Ability to "drive" the Falcon and others can join in as "gunners" and "engineers" to recover a particular item as you move through the mission. You couldn't get from here to Black Spire without me, now you're going to make the Kessel Run? Ha!"―L3-37, to Lando Calrissian[7] Enjoy getting your Han Solo on!!

Action-packed and super fun smuggling mission aboard the Millennium Falcon! First stop after entering is the deck where you're given your instructions and functions as a group. You'll receive cards detailing your position (picked randomly) and exactly how to operate the instruments within the cockpit. Next we were escorted into the cockpit in groups of four and seated according to our functions, and yours truly took shotgun as the pilot. The rest of our group served as the engineers and gunners. Buckle up and stay ready! As soon as I pulled the long lever down we were hyper speed and I could barely hear Hondo Ohnaka over the loud screams of my crew guiding us to defend ourselves; when to open fire, and which levers to pull or buttons to push and so on. The simulation along with the visual effects are very impressive. It wasn't as bumpy as I thought it would be, mostly nose-dives and sharp turns and I saw brave children as young as age 4 getting on. Complete the mission and you will have greatly helped the resistance. Hondo will tally your cut of profit minus what you owe for any damage you cause to the Falcon. Your score will be available for viewing as well.

The Spaceport is deep within the village and it's where the Millennium Falcon is docked. The full-size Millennium Falcon is the centerpiece of Galaxy's Edge and it's 100ft long! The pirate Hondo Ohnaka runs Ohnaka Transportation Solutions out of the Spaceport. Hondo's vessel fleet includes the Millennium Falcon, and he's hiring a crew to fly the ship on a smuggling run to steal cargo from the First Order. Boarding the Falcon and walking through the corridors into the Falcon's hold is an experience in and of itself, as you're utterly transported at every turn. There is careful attention to detail of the complete freighter ship, including laser blast marks, a power generator, switches, wires, and the Dejarik holochess table from SW4 "A New Hope". There are 6 people assigned to every crew, so if your party is less than 6, you'll be partnered with strangers. After the crew is directed towards the cockpit, each person is assigned a role as pilot (x2), gunner (x2) or engineer (x2) on the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Piloting the Millennium Falcon is a dream come true. We've ridden Smuggler's Run a few times, and by our third run, we stole two Coaxium containers & ranked Pirate. On our first run, we scored poorly & exited a damaged sounding freighter ship with flickering lights. However, by our third run, we scored well & exited to a quiet & brightly lit freighter ship.

Millennium Falcon at Star Wars Land is a great ride for the smaller kids. The height requirement is not much and it allows for the smaller kids to enjoy a ride, and Star Wars, that is not as intimidating at Space Mountain or the water rides. The Millennium Falcon is a group ride where six riders take on different roles. These roles include engineers, but the pilot position is the most fun. In fact, we ask to wait so we can be the pilots. The lines can be long but the wait has not been very long. The details of the Millennium Falcon both inside and outside the ride make the wait not seem that long. Great photo opportunities and conversation with your company. We have been on this ride and still find new details. There is an amazing photo opportunity from the upper level of the ride inside. You can get a very scenic picture of all of Star Wars land along with the rest of the park and even Thunder Mountain. I think Yelp has it right on with its 4 Star rating. Definitely, a ride to try. This is especially true if you are in the park with a group of friends. Chewy is often seen walking around Star Wars Land..see if you can get him to go on this ride with you! I am a fan!

Every kid and adult kid's dream come true...check! This was a ride! If you told me when I was little that I would be in the Millennium Falcon one day, I would have thought you were lying. But there I was, pushing all of the buttons. This ride is really fun and there is so much to do and think about, I believe I would need to ride it multiple times to really get the full experience. I ended up being an engineer, not my first job choice since I was in the last seat, but I have no complaints, I did ride the single rider line. Luckily I ended up with someone I knew and we were both confused about the directions, we are rookies...not Wookies. I loved the feel of being enclosed in a real ship. When I first saw a picture online of the inside of the ride, I was not sure what it would look like in real life, or how they could get some many people into a ride so fast. This ride sort of reminded me a bit of the VOID Star Wars ride at Disney Springs, where you feel very immersed in the world and have tasks to complete. Some of the tasks did distract me from the movement of the ride, so much to look at at the same time. And, I am not even sure if I needed to press the buttons to create a certain outcome or if it all ended the same way. I know some rides have different experiences and some are the same no matter what you do. Personally, this ride was second to Rise of the Resistance, which was the superior ride of the day, but definitely better than Star Tours. Amazing technology! If you are a fan or if you just want to feel like you are piloting a ship in space, this is a must do activity to complete your Star Wars adventure.

What is there to say. Wow! Amazing immersive ride. From the briefing w Hondo to the millennium falcon staging area. Everything made you feel in Star Wars. The ride was no exception. Ship movements made it hard to believe you were still on earth. Display was huge and visually stunning. A must ride every single time.

First time on this ride. Wait time was 120 minutes on the last Sunday of 2019. Yeah, 2 hr wait for a 5 minute attraction. Well, not exactly 120 minutes if you are ALONE (Hint, Hint!). There are 6 seats in the cockpit (2 each): pilots, gunners, engineers. I was placed with a family of 4. The kids/boys were the gunners, parents the pilots, & I was the chief engineer (as in the ONLY one). Plenty of buttons & levers to push/pull. Only negative, you can not always see where you are headed since you have to view the button panel. (Hint: BEFORE starting the mission, quickly LOOK at the panel of buttons & levers, get to know them.) I did not realize there was a SCORE being kept until we finished with 7544 points. Don't know how good that is, but the other parties came out saying 1076, 1221, 1300, 1000, 1101 ...... you get my drift. SOOOO, EVERYONE counts: pilots, gunners AND engineers. Pilots need to fly it, gunners need to be alert (close in range), engineers fire the rockets (Hint: flying is the key to a high score, so don't crash into everything.) This is a great interactive attraction like Buzz Lightyear & Toy Story Mania. For me, YAY! I'm a fan! Don't know if I would wait 120 minutes, but it is worth at least 30-40 minutes. This one got me right in the feels! It was one thing to see the Falcon in person and in 1:1 scale. That was impressive. But, the ride Smuggler's Run, which takes place inside the Falcon? Beyond nostalgic! I mean, you walk down corridors that look like they were lifted from the original set!! To sit in the cockpit of the Falcon and ride on an adventure is one thing. To actively participate is just stunning. I'll say it again, about most Disney rides, they are not merely rides... they are experiences. This is no exception. If you grew up loving Star Wars like I did, regardless of how you feel about the prequels or sequels, you'll love this addition to the parks. It's a blast from the past, in the present!

Smugglers Run is a great interactive ride that simulates you and your squad piloting the Millennium Falcon...awesome.. Staging Area: Before you enter the cockpit, you're staged insidue the an area that resembles the main bridge of the millenium falcon until your team is called up. Social media moments everywhere especially at the space 'chess table' which brought up all kinds of memories of when i watched Star Wars as a kid. Before you enter the cockpit, everyone is assigned a job in pairs: two pilots, gunners and engineers. mission time: The pilots have the best seats in the house. They also have the most influence on the mission as they're guiding the millenium falcon throughout ride. The gunners and engineers chill in the back to do their thing. The gunners are in charge of firing lasers and the engineers are fixing the falcon and shooting a harpoon later. My favorite part is when the falcon hits lightspeed. It totally feels like everything i thought it'd be from what I've seen in the movie. The movement of the falcon the responds immediately to the pilots driving is on point and really adds some fun to the ride. This is a definite must ride for Star Wars fans young and old. May the Force be with you!

Another great reason to visit Disneyland at Anaheim! Worth the wait in line, no Fastpass for this one. Interactive for the entire family: two pilots with responsibility for steering and hyper drive, gunners that must shoot the tie fighters, and the engineers that need to fix the Falcon. So much fun for everyone, but the pilots have the best role. Try the single rider, and experience each position in the cockpit.

I was a gunner .I'm hoping that the next ride I get to pilot the ship . There is space for 6 on the craft so you and your fellow partner better push those flashing buttons and help out .
