This ride is incredible. It’s fast, long, big, and intense (especially in the beginning). The way up is amazing as you get one of the best lake views in the park and the theming is perfect perfect perfect. The ride queue was great, but I’d recommend a safe place to put loose items like a zippered pocket or tiny bag cause this ride does not offer a place to put loose items before riding. Overall this ride was super fun and it blew my mind. If you like a fast and forceful ride with a nostalgic feeling then this is the ride for you. 9/10

Millennium Force – Cedar Point ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) If you’re an adrenaline junkie or coaster enthusiast, Millennium Force is an absolute must-ride. This iconic coaster is unmistakable from miles away, with its towering 310-foot lift hill dominating the skyline. The first drop is heart-stopping — 300 feet at an 80-degree angle — sending you racing down at speeds up to 93 mph. The ride delivers nonstop thrills with smooth, fast airtime hills, sweeping turns, and breathtaking views of Lake Erie that make the experience truly unforgettable. At about 2 minutes and 20 seconds long, it’s packed with excitement from start to finish. For the best experience, ride front row to soak in the views or back row to maximize airtime. To beat the lines, hit it right when the park opens or during the last hour before closing. Perfect for photos, especially at the first drop and along the lift hill — definitely bring your camera! Millennium Force still stands as one of the greatest coasters ever built — a must for any thrill seeker visiting Cedar Point.

Google
Got to ride this giga coaster during my visit to Cedar Point and it did not disappoint. The slow ride to the top and the sudden drop were great! The view of the park and lake are awesome to on the rise up and the way down. The coaster is not too bumpy and does not throw you around like I expected either. The ride time is decent as well so it does not feel like you just hopped on and off after waiting a while for your ride. Get on this one if you visit.

Millennium Force is a standout feature in the Cedar Point skyline and my second favorite coaster in the park. The station is very well themed, with music and a retro space design that reminds me of those old Lego space sets. You get quickly pulled straight up the cable lift hill after boarding the train, climbing up 320 feet right next to Lake Erie, with amazing views of the park and lake. Then you drop 300 feet down and then go into the steepest, non-inverting over-banked turn in the world at around 80 MPH, making some people grey out with its intense G-forces. Then it sends you all around the park going over a ton of hills, crazy banking, scary tunnels, and taking you zooming past the queue. It's such a fun and enjoyable ride that I will most definitely be doing when I come back to Cedar Point. Also, I strongly encourage you to get an early access pass if you can, since lines usually are around 2 hours long. I only had to wait 20 minutes in line with early access. Definitely check out the first ever Giga if you're visiting Cedar Point!

When I was eleven years old, I was here at Cedar Point and afraid of rollercoasters. I was too afraid to ride this because of how intimidating it was, even though I rode Maverick (which is much more intense) that same day. I regretted that decision ever since I left the park and so many years later, I finally rode it again. It was so worth it. This is one of my favorite coasters of all time, and if you just want to experience an amazing sense of speed and height, this is the best there is. It may not be the most intense ride in the park (although anyone who calls it forceless is insane), but it isn't trying to be, and it succeeds at everything it sets out to do. A must-ride on any visit to Cedar Point. Also, the music they play in line slaps.

Google
Out of all the roller coasters I've been on this one has my favorite first drop, and it does have good airtime (weightlessness) on the hills even though it's floater (not very strong). It was frustrating that I couldn't go on it again due to technical difficulties. I only got to go on in the morning and I didn't feel a lot of g force on it, so I'm sure if I had gone on later in the day, and in the back, I would have felt more, because I've heard from a lot of people that they've found it forceful, and roller coasters are more intense in the back and later in the day because the track warms up so there's less friction.

Google
Incredible ride that starts with a great lift hill. It is one of my son’s favorite coasters in the park. If you are here during the summer, and you ride it at night, the bugs will destroy your shirt! They swarm near the lights and the high-speed don’t mix. It is a lengthy ride worth waiting in line for.

Brian

Google
One of the best rides at the park, even after 25 years. If you ride after dusk in the summer, keep your mouth closed and be prepared for bugs.

Yelp
Greg's Coaster Collection: Ride #1 - Millennium Force Category: Thrill Coaster | Rating: 5/5 | Best For: Adrenaline Junkies & Coaster Enthusiasts | Wait Time: You can spot Millennium Force from miles away -- it's the Statue of Liberty of Cedar Point's skyline. That 310-foot lift hill dominates the view, and the first drop is a jaw-dropping 300 feet at an 80-degree angle. Once you crest the top, hang on -- you're hitting speeds up to 93 mph with airtime hills, sweeping turns, and postcard views of Lake Erie. The ride is glass-smooth, fast from start to finish, and still one of the greatest coasters ever built. Ride Stats: 6,595 feet of track * 93 mph top speed * 300-foot drop * 2 minutes 20 seconds ride time Best Seat: Front row for the view, back row for the airtime Pro Tip: Lines are shortest right after the park opens or during the last hour of operation. Photo-Worthy? Yes, especially at the first drop and lift hill -- a must for coaster fans with cameras.

Yelp
We're here at Cedar Point, where we will be riding Millennium Force, one of the most iconic roller coasters in the world. When this coaster first opened, it was a huge deal as it was the first ever giga coaster, and 25 years later, it's still going strong as one of Cedar Point's top attractions. Once we pull down the amazing Intamin T-Bars (Seriously, these restraints are AMAZING. I love these things so much), you then take off and zoom up the 310ft tall lift hill. Millennium Force is one of the few coasters in the world to use a cable lift, and you just go soaring up this tower. Getting an amazing view of Lake Erie and Cedar Point (and even Canada! You can see Niagra Falls from up here, which is awesome.) We then hit the first drop, which, OH MY GOD, THIS IS AWESOME. If you're in Row 1, the floater airtime you get here is CRAAAZY. While yes, it's not the best first drop here (X2's is better) it's still a fantastic element that really helps set the tone for the ride. We then FLY through this overbanked turn keeping all of our speed. If there's one thing I love about this ride, it's that it NEVER slows down. From start to finish, you're going to freaking fast. We then TAKE A TUNNEL and hit a GIANT airtime hill. Sadly, this isn't a moment to get excited over as, it's pretty much just Goliath at SFMM's mild floater airtime hill. But at least we're still going fast here! We then hit a giant overbanked turn which we continue to just FLY through (and not losing any speed. Seriously, this ride is just so freaking fast.) We then hit another BIG airtime hill, which sadly... isn't very strong. But don't worry, we're still flying here! We then hit another tunnel, hit a turn, and then hit this speed hill. Now, aside from the first drop, all of the big airtime hills on this ride have been mediocre (Okay, they're still great, but I want airtime damnit). But this small moment here, HOLY CRAP, YOU JUST GET YEETED OUT OF YOUR SEAT. We then fly past the standby queue and hit one final overbanked turn into the brake run. Now, I'm just gonna say it. Millennium Force did NOT deserve to be ranked as the #1 coaster for all of the years that it did. And even now, the Golden Ticket Awards overhypes it. But even still, this is a FANTASTIC roller coaster. You just never slow down, and the few airtime moments it has are PHEONIMINAL. That first drop and speed hill are so good, and the rest of the ride is just pure fun as you fly from start to finish. And that's a great way to describe this ride. It's just pure fun. Which is what coasters are supposed to be! This coaster does everything it needs to and more! So I still rank it very high on my coaster rankings (around top 20ish), but back when I only had 90 credits in 2020, this would've been top 5. So while Millennium Force isn't the best coaster ever, it's still an awesome ride and is something you MUST do at Cedar Point! Final Score: 94/100 Opened: 2000 Manufacturer: Intamin Last Ridden: May 21st 2023

Yelp
I'm pleased to inform whoever cares that I kept my eyes open for the first time on this ride during the drop.

Pepper D.

Yelp
The station has great music and theming for the 2000s and I love the great view from the top of the cable lift at Lake Erie. I think the layout could have been a bit better with maybe a few more airtime hills and S-Curves. I love speed and it's a thing I'm into sooooo, 5 star.

Yelp
Hands down the best steel coaster I've ridden. That first rise is incredible.. over 300 ft! with an amazing view of the lake and the entire park. It's great view at sunset! Although, at sunset, the flying insects come out in force, so beware sitting in the front row! It's very smooth- you won't get beat up on this one like on Ragaru (I hated that coaster). This ride is non-stop... lots of airtime, great views, a couple of pipe tunnels, and, again, incredibly smooth... and really fast. Between this and Steel Vengeance, I'm definitely returning to Cedar Point! We rode this coaster three times during our visit in June.

Yelp
The best roller coaster experience on the planet, making the 2 and a half hour wait absolutely worth it. You've probably heard of the record breaking, award winning coaster and with all that hype comes over hype. I'll tell you right now it's hype is warranted. This ride was an experience, even waiting in line seeing the trains race by you or above you. It was exhilarating! There's obviously no comparing the ride experience itself, going up the lift hill looking at a 300 foot peak, waiting for that drop... the anticipation was unreal. The drop was gut wrenching but exhilarating all at the same time! It was also the smoothest overall riding experience I've ever been on. I absolutely love this coaster. Best coaster riding experience ever, cannot wait to return to ride this beast again!
google avatar

Lincoln H.

Yelp
This is the best coaster I've ever rode in my life and its a great giga coaster! I highly recommend by riding even though if you're scared of roller coasters I don't care but still ride it because it is a blast!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
This Intamin Giga is a blast. Milly offers amazing views of Lake Erie and it's cool being able to to Canada from the very top. The first drop is always a thriller that makes my tummy feel all sorts of weird and in a good way. You'll feel the speed as you go through that gorgeous overbanked turn, well both of them. Millennium Force is coaster that focuses on speed and you feel it from the first drop until the very end. The long line at times is definitely worth it, I guess when Cedar Point put this glorious coaster in as a celebration to the new millennium, they predicted line waiting to be a very crucial part of the new times lolol. TIP O'The Day - Get your dancing shoes on because the station music is lit AF!

Yelp
Such an awesome roller coaster from beginning to end. I always make sure to ride, Millennium Force, every time i visit Cedar Point. Theres a reason that, Millennium Force, has won the Golden Ticket award, 11 times, it's truly an outstanding roller coaster. Millennium Force is the second fastest ride @ Cedar Point, clocking in at 93 MPH. If you have not been on Millennium Force yet, and your a fan of roller coasters, you need to go ride this roller coaster

Yelp
Probably the smoothest coaster in the park, and one of my favorites ... with the smallest seatbelts. This ride only has seatbelts and the over the waist thing ... you don't go upside-down at all, so no over-the-shoulder harness is needed. When I weighed about 240 pounds, two summers ago, I could not fit on the ride, which made me pretty sad. I had to do the "walk of shame" too because I didn't think to try out the test seat beforehand. I carry most of my weight in my stomach and the seatbelts are very small. This summer I weighed about 204 pounds and it fit, although it was still a little tight. You get an excellent view of the lake at the beginning of the ride, when you're going upwards, and everything after that is smooth as silk. It does remind me of Magnum a bit but is less scary ... I don't feel like I'm going to fall out of my seat, lol ... This is one of my favorite rides in the park. Be aware that the wait times can get pretty long for it, also, even though it's an "older" ride (19 years old this year, which makes me feel old!).

Yelp
§ THE FORCE AWAKENS § ______________ Before we begin, let's take a moment to consider some alarming Yelp facts: Magic Mountain's "X2" roller coaster = 102 reviews. Orlando's "Incredible Hulk" roller coaster = 114 reviews. California's "Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror" drop ride = 448 reviews. .....Cedar Point's "Millennium Force", winner of the Golden Ticket award for 'World's Best Steel Roller Coaster' a record TEN times = 0 reviews. ((page did not exist)) What the hell, people?!? Do I have to do everything around here? *sigh* Okay, fine, I'll take responsibility and jump start this motherfudger. Here we go: ______________ It's fast, it's furious, and it's fun as hell. In keeping with tradition, America's greatest thrill ride paradise unleashed yet another record-shattering ride in May, the year of our coaster lord, 2000 A.D. The world's first "giga coaster" (300+ feet) runs parallel to the Lake Erie shoreline on the far west end of the park and provides picturesque views for those who can muster the courage to keep their eyes open. That's not an easy task, since those riding on the left side of the train will notice a VERY extreme dropoff as they climb the unusually steep lift. It's not your typical clickety-clackity chain lift hill, either. An elevator cable smoothly pulls the train up to the apex at a brisk pace of 15mph (compare this to the 5-8mph encountered on a traditional lift). It's such a quiet ascent, it's almost eerie....or should I say Erie? ;) After that, well, it's all about speed. Hot, nasty, bad-ass speed. 93mph to be exact, and you feel every bit of 4.5G's pulling out of the first drop, which comes dangerously close to cerebral greyout territory (ride it and you'll see what I mean). The first turn has to be significantly overbanked because at such high velocities, a typical turn would be uncomfortable to riders and place too much stress on the track. The 36-person trains then scream through a tunnel and up over a floater hill on its way to the midcourse turnaround on adventure island (where the dinosaurs are!) MF makes some high speed, low-to-the-ground maneuvers and once again crosses the lagoon over an airtime bump and rockets into another tunnel. One final bunny hop and a fly-by past the queue of anxious riders, into another overbanked turn, and Millennium finally hits the brakes. ~Special ride elements~ *310ft cable lift hill @ 45° up *300ft drop @ 80° down *Overbanked turn (pitched at 122° from the horizontal) *Tunnel *182ft parabolic 'floater hill' *Tunnel It's 2 minutes and 20 seconds of pure awesomeness, boys and girls. Sure, there's a couple decent airtime moments, but that's not what Millennium is known for [sidenote: if you want negative G's at Cedar Point, I recommend Magnum XL-200 on the other side of the park, as it's loaded with 'em]. MF is a sleek, polished coaster that focused on delivering the smoothest possible ride experience at the highest possible speeds. ?BinsNoBins? = NoBins. Stash your stuff in a locker before getting in line. There are coaster enthusiasts out there who will argue that SFNE's 'Superman the Ride' aka 'Bizarro' is a superior coaster, but I find their lack of faith disturbing. {{uses dark side choking powers}} Speaking of Sith Lords....... Arthur Levine (from About.com) rated Millennium Force as one of the 'most overrated' roller coasters of all time. This just in: Arthur Levine is one of the most overrated writers of all time and should give himself a rattlesnake enema. Idiot. Eric S's Cedar Point coaster ranking = 2nd out of 13. Verdict : every single positive thing said about Millennium Force is true. It is an achievement in thrill ride engineering and never fails to delight. If you should visit Cedar Point without having ridden MF, then your trip was wasted. But believe it or not, this legendary - nee, EPIC - roller coaster is not #1 at the park. But then, what is?.....stay tuned! Remember, young coaster padawan........ The Force will be with you. Always.

Yelp
If I could give out 10 stars, I would for this magnificent piece of steel. Beautifully designed and crafted and has an incredible view. The drop is insane overlooking the lake and the rest of the ride lives up to all the hype as one of the best coasters in the world. Amazing air time and speed throughout the ride and keeps the adrenaline pumping like crazy. Highly recommended even with a long line. Loved the front row. A++++++++++++ 2018 Review... still the best rollercoaster in the world. I rode it twice this past trip and it's still amazing. Front row is just extremely exhilarating and the back row, which I tried for the first time, is wickedly fast.
google avatar

Tray M.

Yelp
This ride known as the Millennium Force was one of the best attractions here. It's 93 mph will surely get your attention quick. Nothing compares the long drop of of this attraction. As you ride up and prepare for your drop. You can see Lake Eerie to your left which makes the height of this 200 plus height roller coaster fun and eerie in itself I definitely would recommend this attraction.

Yelp
What a classic coaster! It's a wonderful ride with an amazing view. It's in my top 5 roller coasters of all time (Number 1 OBVIOUSLY being steel vengeance). How they set up the loading and offload of the cars is very efficient. They have a different station to both load and unload passengers. While ascending the view is amazing!! You see downtown Sandusky and nothing but Lake Erie as you go up. It's such a wonderful view. It's very steep and can cause one to feel a bit uneasy but it's just so calm and relaxing up there (at least for me, haha). My favorite parts of the roller coaster is the ascend and the ton of G-forces you experience after the first drop. Obviously you have to ride this one before you leave. I would suggest probably running to steel vengeance when the park opens and then hit maverick and then millennium force after :).
google avatar

Keven W.

Yelp
Wow I rode front, back and middle and was very impressed. I like the front the most as I got a lot of g forces. The drop and air time is good. I like it when i almost black out on the first drop. The ride has lots of hills which i like. Overall great ride.
google avatar

Dillon Y.

Yelp
Amazing how 21 years this coaster has been around and it still runs so glossy smooth even for its speed. Wow amazing. Only got to ride it on the middle of the train during my visits but hey it still hit me good like childhood. It's meant to be about speed and intensity so it's not boring by any means. This is one I can marathon as well as Steel Vengeance
google avatar

Dana L.

Yelp
A wonderful classic coaster. It's so smooth, and that first hill. Whoa! No upside downs, if you don't like that. I do, but it doesn't detract by not going upside down. Great view of the lake. It's a bit older, but I loved it. One of the few that we rode more than once.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally rode this after seeing it multiple times on the travel channel. Now im not gonna go into the details of all the specs of this ride. You can refer to the reviews of Kevin J and Eric S. Those guys got it all covered and then some. Im just here to share my humble opinion and some comparisons. First of all this is the best steel coaster that I have ever ridden. I would compare this to Goliath over at Six Flags Magic Mountain over in Valencia, California. Until I rode Millenium Force, Goliath was my favorite of its kind. MF has a higher first drop, longer track, has tunnels, and the lift system is not only faster, but much quieter than your average clickety clackety lift. Yes it has no inversions or loops but I can appreciate the sheer speed and smoothness of what it brings. The G forces are more than enough to satisfy me. You might ask if I have ridden Magnum XL 200 before doing this review. Yes I have and that coaster is definitely a one and done. Refer to my glowing review to answer your question in full detail. In closing, you locals are very lucky to have this coaster. I could ride it over and over again and not care about the other rides. Its also hard to believe that its 17 years old and it is still very smoothe. In this day in age we are always looking for the fastest, tallest, longest, and biggest coaster. MF is definitely one of those. Im already saddened thinking about the day this ride gets really run down and goes all Magnum XL-200. Until then ride on my coaster peeps! Yelp 2017 Review #21 654 Overall

Yelp
This coaster is super fun and fast. The hill is very intimidating but afterwards it's awesome. I love the view of the lake. There is a ton of air time. The only downside is the line gets extremely long and for whatever reason, it doesnt seem to go fast. Also, it breaks down alot. Waited in line 45 minutes then had to leave because it wasnt working.

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Best ride in the entire park and the only one I will ride 5-6 times every time I visit. There is simply no better coaster than this. It's smooth but you still get some decent out of seat time on the hills. The line goes fast- I've never waited for more than half an hour at peak times. This is the coaster all other coasters should aspire to be.
google avatar

Kevin J.

Yelp
I'm taking the lead of the Alpha Geek who boldly went where noone has gone before and created review listings for most of the major rides at Cedar Point. And by that I mean rollercoaster nerding out on these fierce machines. I'll start out with my favorite. Millenium Force, now old enough to drive if it was a person, is still the best ride at Cedar Point. And in my myopic view that means it's the best amusement park ride in the world. And if I actually did make it around the world and go on all the other coasters and whatnot I'd might very well still think that. Top Thrill Dragster might be more intense and Maverick more berzerk, but Millenium Force is just so powerful, fast, exhilarating and smooth it blows every other coaster at CP out of the water. And its lovely views of Lake Erie don't hurt either. It is an Intamin ride which means it's more prone to mechanical difficulties than some of the other coasters at the Point, but your odds of getting held up in line by some snafu are much less than the queue for the Dragster. If you only see one movie this year and go on only one rollercoaster this year then wait for December 30th for my film recommendation and go on Millenium Force as soon as you can.

J J.

Yelp
The look of it from the ground is scary. But once you take the first drop its not that bad . Steele Vengence , to me is scarier. Speed Speed Speed , Millennium Force will blow your eyes out ! Super fast and fun! Every coaster enthusiast needs to ride this 300' Monster . A must ride at Cedar Point.
google avatar

Evan S.

Yelp
I honestly can't tell you how many times I've been on this huge coaster! Last time I was at Ceder Point I rode it 4 times Yeah it's that good! If you are afraid of heights I suggest going to Snoopy Town
google avatar

Renee K.

Yelp
I have been riding this since I was a young child. It has been my #1 ever since. From the airtime to the drops to the curves, wow. Truly a breathtaking coaster and still a beauty today, 18 years later. Words cannot express how much I love this ride. I can ride this 3-4 times a day every time I go there and still experience the same thrill every time. Classic right here!!
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite ride in the park!!!! This roller coaster is the highest I have even been on and had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen that high. The ride was so much fun we ended up getting on it multiple times! I highly recommend getting on this roller coaster of you find your self in cedar point
google avatar

Toni M.

Yelp
The laws of physics take advantage of you so much on this coaster. Truly a classic work of engineering. The 310 ft hill gives you a plentiful view and a chance for you to find your car(or say goodbye to it). With the road right beside it to the left, it is quite the view of all the cars driving in the world below you. Get in line early, or else your beard will have reached the sidewalk!
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
This is my favorite roller coaster and I get excited thinking about it. I see why this coaster is consistently voted best steel coaster in the world. The coaster goes up I believe about 298 feet and does upwards of 93 mph. Definitely a very fast steel coaster. Nothing in the world beats that first initial drop or the scenery of the beach and the rest of the park as you are going up the hill. I rode this coaster for the first time during a school field trip when I was 13 years old and the adrenaline rush was like no other. I definitely went back and told all my friends about this wicked coaster and my experience. I also rode this coaster several times as an adult during my visits as well. If you are a coaster lover and are at the park definitely worth the wait to ride and I would highly recommend riding in the front seat. If you have time during your visit I would also recommend riding the coaster from the back seat and at night as well. This coaster has a terrestrial type theme to it as they play this weird alien type song in the waiting area for riders as they are getting on and off the ride. The seats are comfy and I feel safe on the ride as well. Overall, a great coaster will continue to ride every time I am at the park.
google avatar

Tristan E.

Yelp
I have not rode this roller coaster yet but of what you can see of it the ride is awesome depending on where you are. I know it is the 2nd fastest in the entire park I would go to Cedar Point any day instead of the park that copies Cedar Point Six Flags copies all cedar points rides
google avatar

Chet M.

Yelp
This coaster is plain loco. The scariest part is the climb up and once over the top, let the fun begin! Probably the closest thing to flying in an F-16 during stunt manuvers! Let's go again!!

Kyle L.

Yelp
I like this ride it goes up very high. It also has some good airtime moments as well.

Kobe B.

Yelp
Smoothest coaster ever. So much fun for all ages. Rides right when the sunset is a top 3 life experience of mine, beautiful view of the park and Lake Erie from the top of the hill

Connor F.

Yelp
Great ride! The drop has amazing airtime and is really tall. Definitely forceful and one of my favorite rides at Cedar Point.

Mikayla S.

Yelp
Love, love, love this ride! It is awesome. Right beside the water, you go through 2 tunnels. I love it, but one on my friend was scared out of her wits, because of how high the first hill is.
google avatar

Randy M.

Yelp
This was my first ride on a GIga coaster and it was awesome! However, I'm only giving it 4 stars because honestly, I enjoyed Diamondback (a hyper) at Kings Island much more. Yeah, it's not as tall or fast, but it has so much more ejector air-time than Millennium Force, which was another example of people building it up and it not living up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome coaster that's very fast and fun, just not my tops.

Nick J.

Yelp
Great rollercoaster. My favorite. Super tall, fast, and has great banked turns. 100% recommend.
