Millennium Hotel Glasgow

Fantastic stay in this beautiful hotel. Very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean room. So very peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed. Would definitely recommend this gorgeous hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is in a great location and I think that is why they get most of their custom. The room is tiny, dated and not clean. The bed is very comfortable, the floor was stained and dirty. Shower over the bath is very old fashioned, but in general the whole room needs ripping out and updated. Really poor value for money £81 without breakfast. It is 3 star at best.

Got a really good deal for room only overnight stay in double room. Bedroom was massive, comfy bed and sofa, plus lovely bathroom. Very central location, next to Glasgow Queen St Station. Would stay again.

We had a warm comfortable stay at the hotel on Hogmanay but it could be so much better. It's great value for money and excellent location but furniture and carpets in need of updating. Everything was clean and beds comfortable and if that's all you need then it's fine. No atmosphere on Hogmanay at all and when we asked in bar for an Aperol Spritz we were told they don't do cocktails after 9pm. Not sure if they do any food, no menus or room service menus around. Didn't have breakfast. Staff were friendly but overall tired and didn't seem very motivated a bit like the hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Millennium Hotel Glasgow. The room was spotless and the service was great. Special thanks to Sheree from housekeeping — her kindness and attention to detail made all the difference.

This was the last stay of our Scotland trip. Glasgow reminded me of an older Boston. More current architecture than other cities in Scotland. It was a little bit away from the action but we don’t mind walking. A Great Wall art walk!! The Mural Trail, look it up and follow the map to see some cool art down streets and alleys. However, it was a very close walk to the bus station for our trip back to Edinburgh airport. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. Our view wasn’t great, the roof of the train station. We didn’t purchase the breakfast option instead opting to partake in the local coffee shops and restaurants. It’s on a pretty high traffic street. In fact, the morning we left the hotel was the packet pick up site for the Great Scottish Run 10K/half marathon.

Great hotel. Second time I've stayed there as a stopver for work, and nothing negative to say at all. Room was more of a suite than just a room, bed comfy, and bathroom clean. For the price paid, this location, room, and service is difficult to beat. Only one thing, roadworks outside on pavement (George Square) could prove an issue for wheelchair users, but that's hardly the hotel's fault.

I love this hotel. We visit Glasgow quite often, staying for a minimum of 2 days, and have tried many hotels. This hotel is by far the best we have stayed with. The hotel is currently going through renovations, not that you notice any disruptions. I hope none of the original fixtures are changed. This hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and the staff are amazing. We was greets by a lovely dark haired lady on arriving. Very warm welcome, and we immediately felt relaxed. We had a room upgrade giving us two doubles instead of two singles. There are repairs in broken signs that need attention, but I could overlook that due to how amazing everything else is. The beds are exceptional, as are the pillows. The breakfast covers literally everything you could want, from fresh fruit, yogurt and continental to full cooked Scottish breakfast. I am vegetarian and did not struggle to find something I liked. Everything was cooked and served fresh. The staff are very helpful and polite. I genuinely cannot find one thing I did not like. We will be back to stay again, and can see this being our go to hotel when visiting Glasgow from now on. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Just arrived and the key card won't allow us into the room - not a good start! Hubby sent down to reception for the second time! Still standing in the hall like someone who doesn't belong. Hotel manager had to come and let us in. Room spacious but dated. In need to a spruce up with a lick of paint! Lots of COVID guidance which is reassuring.

Great central location but noisy. Good breakfasts. That's the good. The bad is very small room before I upgraded. Stains on carpet. Surely not four star

A nice hotel overlooking George Square. It's really nice inside with great rooms, clean and tidy. All you can ask for really. It was the first hotel I stayed in where the TV greeted me by name in a dodgy teletext style affair. I later learned it knew who I was from when I swiped my credit card downstairs. For that brief moment though... FREAKY. It's pretty big inside, with a nice bar that looks out onto George Square. That's the real selling point really, the location. Disappointed I was then, when I looked out my window to see a brick wall next to Queen Street Station. Hmph.

Sadly, I've never stayed in the Millennium Hotel Glasgow so this isn't a review of the hotel. What I can review is the very fancy bar that sits overlooking George Square. I went with my boyfriend as it was his birthday and we wanted to push the boat out and go to somewhere a little bit spesh. We naturally went for cocktails and we were mightily impressed by the tasty treats that we sampled. I should stress that the round for two people cost over a tenner, but for a special treat it was worth it. I highly recommend the Espresso Martini. It was a crisp, tasty, interesting mix and absolutely delicious.

I've only been for lunch and a light snack/glass of wine while visiting home. Both times were a pleasurable experience with good food and attentive service. They have a lovely view of George Square.

I've only ever stayed in this hotel once, but when I did it was a lovely experience and I'd definitely go back! Colin and I had been out for dinner at Jamie's Italian and decided afterwards that we'd just get a hotel in town somewhere rather than head home. Treating ourselves so we were! We headed across George Square and asked about a room in here, and luckily for us there was one left for that night! We booked it and headed upstairs to the room. The room itself was gorgeous. Very dated townhouse type feel to it and I loved it; massive high ceilings, spacious room, bay windows etc. Wonderful! The bed was obscenely comfy and the night's sleep had was glorious! I'd definitely head back here if I could afford it; not the cheapest place on the planet!

If I could give a negative star I would. As a frequent business traveller I've stayed in some dumps but this place is the tops. My first room was filthy, dirty carpet, chipped bath, lumps of floor tile grout dotted around the bathroom, no varnish left on any of the bedroom furniture. I wiped my feet when I left the room and spent the remainder of the evening scratching. I requested another room and it was provided with minimum fuss. It was fine apart from the view, Room 105 overlooks a corrugated steel roof which buts the window sill of the bedroom window. Then there is the food. Don't eat the fish. It stinks. The curry that replaced the fish had the consistency and flavour of three day old gravy. Would I stay again? Only if there was nowhere else. ON THE PLANET.

The Millennium Hotel annoys me greatly because it always reminds me of that crap Robbie Williams song, God he is such a twat. Putting that to one side though the hotel has a dominating, ostentatious presence on George Square and this huge Victorian building looks very impressive when it is all lit up at night. Despite the grandeur of the exterior the rooms at the Millennium Hotel are very dull and bland. They are neither modern nor old fashioned and quaint. All the furnishings in the rooms are various shades of inoffensive beige and I struggle to see what warrants this hotels prices and 4 star status. I have had afternoon tea in the Millennium Lounge and post work cocktails in Georgics Bar and while I have no complaints about either I wouldn't rave about them. The cocktails were delicious but there are loads of great bars and restaurants in Glasgow to have cocktails in for a fraction of the price. Really what you are paying for here are the great views of George Square out of the conservatory. All in all if I could some up my review in one word, taking into account the prices charged at this hotel and it's apparent 4 star status, the word would be.......meh.

Only popped in here for a stop gap before dinner as we had time to spare. A wedding was on in the main hotel so we went to the little bar attached which is part of the hotel but has it's own door. I didn't know about this section but my husband had been before. We got a nice seat at the windows facing George's square so could relax and people watch. Decor basic, football was on tv and it had a pool table. I got a water and asked for a slice of lemon an got a wedge of lime which I have to my husband as he had a beer. Looking forward to trying the actual hotel side for food.

the millenium hotel glasgow is attached to queen street station - and looks onto george square - so very central and in heart of shopping district the famouse square is host to huge christmas displays/ice rink and there is usually some sort of exhibition/concert on most weeks throughout the year the hotel has a glass bar/restaurant frontage which is very popular - great for people-watching - cater well for large parties

Great room right in the middle of all the action, and my room was ready when I arrived before noon. Huge plus for that! I will say that I found the internet to be..quirky. I could only connect with one device (my laptop) so ipad and iphone were out. I also tried using my laptop as a router (macbook) but that didn't work either. Otherwise, great stay!
