No complaints here. It is an elegant older hotel, so...no it is not a modern sexy hotel. I say this because I noticed some of the other lower rated reviews saying it was dated. It reminded me of a NYC hotel...small, older except this was not quite as small loll. I thought it was elegant and timeless. Everything was clean and functioning. Bed and linens were comfortable and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.

My stay at the Millennium Knickerbocker hotel was fine, but nothing too special. The room was clean enough although we did see some bugs in the bathroom the first night. As a whole, the hotel felt a little more dated than historic - there were some nice historic touches throughout but it really just felt like the entire hotel could use a good deep cleaning and refresh. The major bonus of the hotel is its location - its extremely walkable and has great access to bus lines.

First off, they mixed up the first name on our reservation when we checked in and weren’t very professional about it. Young staff on the front desk doing a lot of giggling with customers present. Not a great first impression. When we got to the room, it was decent with a well-appointed bathroom (which unfortunately had a flickering lightbulb—room 511). Our room faced to the back of the hotel and had a view of a roof which we didn’t mind. Overall it was good for the price paid but the staff need to be more professional.

The hotel is a fine old building and well located just off the magnificent mile. We booked a superior room and the room itself was fine except that the only view was of air conditioning pipes and a fire escape. The TV purported to offer Netflix but the WiFi was so slow that it wouldn't work . Breakfast was okay but expensive for what it was. Cocktail bar made a good Old Fashioned.

We stayed in this hotel for five night and all I can say is Excellent . Reading some of the reviews I think they must have been in a different hotel. Rooms were a very good size and the shower was excellent . When we do City break we don't need a room with a view we like to get out and about . Breakfast was great good food and choice A big shout out to Andrae top man at breakfast thanks sir . We stopped in the bar most nights and Danny was a great barman service with a smile 😃 .This hotel is in a great location for exploring Chicago . Thanks everybody for a great holiday and plenty of happy memories.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, 14 and 15 May. No problems at all with the room, very clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Drinks at the bar expensive, breakfast ok. Great location to explore Chicago.||Now the downside - I paid in cash for drinks at the bar and breakfast but I have been charged $46.96 on my credit card, no idea what for. I have emailed both the hotel and their head office but not had the courtesy of a reply - very disappointing. I have now contacted my bank and advised them of a transaction I don’t recognise and hopefully this will now be resolved.||Enjoyed my stay until I

Our room was clean, spacious and definitely a good value for the price. You are in the heart of Magnificent Mile and close to all the attractions. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. For the downtown Chicago and the price point, you can’t really go wrong, so the negative reviews can be disregarded if you know what to expect!

Positive: The location. The bathroom and closet was nice. Bed was soft. Negative: The construction that went on in the next adjacent room and outside on the fire escape of my window from 3am until I left. The tv did not work. The refrigerator did not get cold.
