Love this place! It's absolutely beautiful and has plenty of space even when busy. We saw Shakespeare in the park and bought chairs and some food the atmosphere was very relaxing some people's picnics were very elaborate and it was cool to see. We were towards the middle on the left and we could see and hear just fine. It was free and so was the parking and I think they even sold snacks and stuff. Definitely worth checking out.

Awesome place to attend free events across various arts. They have both seated section close to the stage which is not free but the lawn behind on the hill is free. So you can grab a picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy the performances on the hill with your partner and family. Stroller and pet friendly as well. It can get pretty crowded on a beautiful evening so be prepared but enough space for all. FYI don’t forget your big sprays if you decide to sit near the grass lawn areas

Google
I love the Miller Outdoor Theater. Amazing shows for free!! We saw Macbeth last year and A Midsummer Night’s Dream last night. The actors are amazing, the sets and costuming are creative, and it’s honestly just wonderfully funny. Obviously it will be pretty warm and humid in the summer, but it’s still nice :) I recommend getting there a little early and buying tickets at the window so you can have reserved seats! If you’re sitting on the lawn, bring a lawn chair :)

The events hosted here are always an amazing experience! Really well done plays that are free to the public! Great for a family event or a date. The concession stand has good food too! Check out the event scheduled online.

Loved the fireworks at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park! We parked at a nearby lot for free, walked about a mile, arrived around 9:20, fireworks started at 10 and ended around 10:30pm. It was HOT, but thankfully there was a bit of a breeze. Lots of concession stands. Next year I will be better prepared with a towel for sweat and water, but lawn chairs and blankets aren't really necessary on the fake grass unless you're planning to stay a few hours.

Google
Been coming to live theater here since the early 70s, when Mom introduced me culture at the free productions, including ballet, theater, and opera. It's still just as wonderful now as it was as a kid. Especially when the Houston weather is nice.

Google
It's always a great experience attending the free live concerts at this location. A friend and I were just going on a walk through the park and saw others gathering and preparing to watch the show, so we decided to join for a while. Acoustics are amazing and no seat is a bad seat when sitting on the lawn. Usually we bring lawn chairs when we have plans but this time it wasn't planned so we just took a yoga mat out of the trunk and sat comfortably on the grass.

Google
Been in Houston about 16 months and hadn’t heard about the Miller. I’m glad to have discovered this past weekend. We got to see 2 great concerts on Fri and Sat, all for free! The staff here is professional and courteous. The parking was not bad at all. I prefer sitting under the overhang vs on the lawn. Definitely will be returning for some future events during their 100 year celebration.

Yelp
I love coming here to get the tickets and to wait in line sometimes I get to meet some really wonderful people. The shows are typically free and they will put on a show that at will blow your mind! I saw the Baroque performance here with a cultural Asian twist. There was lots of dancing and it was epic for the entire family. I like to sit close to the stage and not on the hill. The Miller Outdoor theater always have something for everyone to enjoy. Go online to see what events they have posted. The food is okay It's not the best in the world. It's just okay I wouldn't rave about it. But they have the best performances that are free! For any Houstonians or anyone who's looking for something to do!

Lucy T.

Yelp
This is such a fun place! My mom and I stumbled upon it during our visit to Houston this fall. I love the outdoor concept. We sat on the grass, but seats are available too if you preregister. We watched Rumpelstiltskin, and it was such a good show! There was lots of singing and dancing and you could tell everyone was having a great time! I will definitely come back here when I'm in Houston!

Yelp
Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston is a cultural gem nestled within Hermann Park, offering a delightful fusion of nature and the performing arts. With its open-air amphitheater and lush surroundings, the venue apparently provides a captivating backdrop for an array of performances, ranging from classical music and ballet to Broadway musicals and contemporary dance. Admission to most performances is apparently free, ensuring that everyone, regardless of economic background, can enjoy great entertainment. This inclusivity fosters a sense of community, as diverse audiences come together to celebrate the arts under the stars in the sky. I went for the Motown & More Revue Show and had a wonderful night out on a Thursday of all days. The quality of the production was very impressive. While there were a few hits and misses with the singers overall there can be no complaints. Miller Outdoor Theatre boasts excellent amenities, including comfortable seating, ample parking, and convenient concessions. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring that patrons have a seamless experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was great, families spread out picnic blankets, children playing on the grassy slopes, and friends gathering for an evening of entertainment under the stars. The sense of camaraderie is palpable, creating a great time for all who attended. Overall, Miller Outdoor Theatre is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking exceptional cultural experiences in Houston. Whether you're a seasoned arts or music enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable night out, this venue never disappoints.

Yelp
We got to see the balliwood live show and it was a new experience since that was the first time actually seeing the show on the outside like that! We got to put some blankets and prepped some snacks and drinks so we had a good friends time with all non alcoholic beverages of course! :) Good place good service! I had a fun time

James A.

Yelp
We had a chance to walk by this outdoor amphitheater while visiting Hermann Park. It has permanent seating under a large canopy, with a large grassy area in the back for people who want to sit on lawn chairs or just lay on mats while listening. There was no event happening at the time we passed by, but it was clear what a nice place it would be for an outdoor concert. My nephew was our guide and told us that he had recently had a night time picnic on the 4th with his friends, and had a wonderful time. The orchestra playing patriotic music, with large fireworks thundering in the sky, made for a great night. Making a note to come here if ever in Houston for the 4th of July.

Zo M.

Yelp
Some of my fondest memories are coming to this Houston icon for plays musicals and theater outside on the lawn . A short drive close to the Houston Zoo and diagonal from the Natural Science museum, this out door that really usually opens Mrch to October for a series of events that can be found online . Love that you can get seats up close if reserve early or better yet sit on the lawn with a blanket for a picnic as long as you do not bring things with glass bottles. Dog friendly . Kid friendly. Worth a look.

Nelly O.

Yelp
Free concerts all summer long, the quality of the sound is amazing, perfect to bring a blanket some snacks and hang out with friends.

Jessica B.

Yelp
They always have a lot of events going on here. It's a nice space to hang out with friends and family. I've occasionally seen food trucks. There's also a concession shop nearby. It's really nice here.

Maria C.

Yelp

JJ J.

Yelp
Free you say? I'm in. Throw in a chance to catch a concert or concerto from a grassy knoll with downtown looming large in my peripherals and a nice evening land breeze under the stars? Priceless. Park by McGovern & walk if you want a space, sometimes zoo lot. Bathrooms nearby, beer prices too high, and don't forget a blanket or the ants will make you cry!

Allie C.

Yelp
One of my sanctuaries. The entire area is lovely and perfect for taking a stroll before the shows. So thankful to my city for supporting the arts :D

Gillian B.

Yelp
Love coming here with adults or with the kids. Always a fun time and good vibes. It's their 100 year celebration and they are bring it in shows. A must when your are in Houston

Karin N.

Yelp
I was going to give this theatre 3 stars but pushed it up one because WOW did the singers bring their A game in the performance. Every number was on beat, tone and musicality was soothing to the ears, and the band was amazing. I was mesmerized by the pianists' fingers lol and drummers' rhythm. The kids warmed our hearts with their choreography and enthusiasm for the arts. The adult singers had so much personality and depth in their voices with strong stage presence. Stage and lighting producers were also on time and elevated the entire shebang. Bravo to everyone involved. Why not 5 stars then? 1. This was my first time attending a TUTS (Theater Under the Stars) production and when I walked to the info desk, three ladies were there helping one gentleman while completely ignoring me. The lady on the left looked me up and down without smiling and then quickly moved her eyes back to the man without saying not much a hello. The lady on the right also didn't really ushered me to come forward. When the man moved away from the desk, I ended up greeting the lady in the center and she gave me a lukewarm welcome and directed me where to get tickets. Surprisingly, the man earlier was still by the info desk and heard me then proceeded to give me an extra ticket. He was way more helpful than the actual workers lol. I just felt turned off by the three that were supposedly ambassadors for the TUTS team. Again, thank the singers for carrying my general experience lol. 2. Since there were no breaks between the long 2 hour performance, some members of the audience were getting rowdy-getting up from their seats and moving around, generally making a lot of noise that distracts from the performers. I would suggest having at least a 15 minute cut so everyone gets a chance to stretch their legs or take a breather. All in all, loved the performance!!! Minor details slightly irked me but will be back hoping that it's not a reoccurrence. Definitely love what TUTS has done for Houston's performing arts. They were also handing out free t-shirts which was a bonus.

Tabitha A.

Yelp
I loved this experience! Theatre was engaging and the actors were so skilled!! The drinks were a bit pricey, but I am looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
What a great space for outdoor concerts!... and did you say free??? I had a wonderful time at the Jazzy Sunday concert, the venue location was changed at the last minute due to anticipated rain, but it could not have worked out any better. Although it was very well attended, it did not feel overcrowded, there was plenty of room to stretch out and maybe get to know a new neighbor. Parking was a breeze, I was dreading the walk but it actually was very simple. I love that people came prepared with picnic baskets and anything else to make them comfortable , the atmosphere was lovely, it made you want to get up and dance in the fresh evening air. I must make this a regular hangout

Requel P.

Yelp
Love coming out to the park, but this was my first time going to an event at the theatre. We saw the Tina Turner show and had a great time. The weather was perfect and we found a great spot for our chairs and food. The people around us were spaced out and enjoying them. Folks got up to dance and take pictures. Overall it was a great experience and I would love to go again.

Yelp
If you ever want to visit Houston, find a place in walking distance to this, and schedule it so you can see a Friday or Saturday show. I go here with my family regularly for bike/scooter/stroller rides while catching the beginning of the live show. I grab a $7-$8 adult beverage at the concession stand, and get gelato for my kids. This is my second favorite thing to do in Texas (kayaking near the bay bridge in Austin). Also, hotel Zaza is the hotel in walking distance. Also, this place has the most beautiful sunset in Houston that I've seen. Pro tip: most of the shows are streamed live so if you leave home early for the kids, you can watch the rest later.

Mattie L.

Yelp
Miller Outdoor Theater has always been a great place to go for concerts. The weather was Wonderful Friday for our Motown outing. We split up and sat where we could find a spot. Three of us sat on the hill in the middle. There were so many people. More than usual, maybe because people are glad to get out after the pandemic. We weren't bothered by mosquitoes or anything. Never got hot. It was a very nice night. The singers were okay but we were missing the SANGERS that usually get us up dancing and having a great time. No dancers to get us excited. I can't hold that against Miller Theater, but who ever put the concert together. I have Pulmonary issues and think my singing is like what I saw Friday. Don't get me wrong, there were about three, maybe four people that can really sing. They were with people that would really get the gong bell if I had one. Hopefully, next year for Motown, the singers will be better. Not anything like past Motown shows. Very light three stars. Very disappointed. :-(

Jasmine W.

Yelp
Theater in the open air is an amazing experience. The performances are of a high caliber, and the setting is equally impressive. The plays are sometimes a little less well-known than the big names, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still a great deal of fun. We came here with the family and truly enjoy our time here. I chose the ideal location, it had a great mood, and it wasn't too hot. The personnel on the other side were quite helpful and cordial. They do a fantastic job, and I am grateful to have discovered this charming place!

Marcos R.

Yelp
I came here for a weekday concert recently and I loved the venue. Seating was great, the music was solid, and you can even lay out a picnic blanket towards the back. Cans are allowed. no bottles though. It would great if they could get the word out a little better. The crowd was kinda sparce, but other than that a good time and a great asset to the city.

Bradley R.

Yelp
What a great space for entertainment here in Houston! If you prefer seating, the people who run the MOT give away (yes, give away) tickets first come, first serve to patrons who plan to attend an event. Check the website for when the tickets will be available. If you would prefer to sit in your own lawn chair or even on a blanket picnic style, you fan view the event on a hillside that faces the bowl area. Houston is mainly HOT and home to bbbillions of mosquitoes, so remember to keep those facts in mind when deciding to go. Also check the rules regarding what can be brought before leaving home. Pro tip - We always check the events schedule during September through May for the most comfort.

Tosin A.

Yelp
Sometimes when you have been in a place too long you forget the amazing opportunities that live in your backyard. As a student at the Houston Met Dance Center, I learned about a program they were putting on at Miller and was amazed to see all Miller has to offer. I can't wait to continue attending these events in person or virtually if I can't make it in person.

Brittany H.

Yelp
My Ears literally led me and my young king to the BEAUTIFUL extra smooth sounds of South Africa! Pure love and energy rejuvenation date night with my SONshine.

Danny C.

Yelp
This place is so awesome and not to mention it's free. So multi-cultural! It's one reason I love Houston. If you've not been here you need to get here! So way cool!

Althea S.

Yelp
Always have great selection of artist. We always sit on the hill on the chair side to people watch, enjoy the company of others and bring outside. Although we were disappointed in the Motown anniversary event this year beside it was better the previous years. Trivially we take our own food so can't comment on the service

Mel S.

Yelp
What a fun family friendly event spot! It's outdoor with some covered seating. The shows are always amazing talent. Totally love it! I dance, I sing ha e a good time. You can bring your own food which is nice. They also have a snack bar & food trucks. No one checks your bags or what u have, just go have a good time & enjoy the show..the food snacks didn't appear to be overpriced, they always start on time rain or not. Bring your blankets or chairs to relax on the grass & ha e a good time. Every show is free

Melissa M.

Yelp
I love this place and need to go back more! I have memories of Miller Outdoor Theatre as a kid but going back as an adult, it was even better! We went for one of their many free movies. We parked for free and easily across the street. We brought a cooler with snacks and water bottles and comfortably sat in our camping chairs. It was the perfect evening! We watched Beauty and the Beast animated movie and wished we had been to more of their free movies! I'm on the lookout for the next event I can make. What a gem this place is for all of Houston. Check out their calendar and go!

Mirna C.

Yelp
I went this weekend to see Don Quixote. I've never been there so I didn't know what to expect. We only brought a blanket since we ate prior. The weather was beautiful since they were smart and I did it in the evening. We got there 10 minutes before which was a huge mistake. We ended up at the top of the hill. It was a huge turnout, people everywhere. So we couldn't see anything except the top of the curtains since it's on a downward slope. If you bring chairs you can see but no one behind you can. We took an Uber there since we thought traffic would be terrible and it was with the recent grads taking pictures. We only stayed 20 minutes before we left since we couldn't see unless we stood and then people behind us couldn't see. It's a lovely show but there's a lot of anxiety about seeing the show. But at least you can walk around the park.

Wendy W.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a kid but won't age myself. This theatre is one of a kind and you can beat free!! Arrive early and you can get ticketed seats or my favorite is sitting on the lawn. You will still need to arrive early for the lawn if you want to sit closer to the stage. Pick a spot, but be mindful, folding chairs are for one side of the stage while blankets are for the other. Don't forget to pack a picnic with drinks. You can bring a adult beverages. Remember to aways clean up after yourself. Shows range in interest so check the Miller Theatre schedule. Shows are always kid friend and pet friendly if you are on the hill. The experiences are state of the art and full of culture! Broadway, ballet, heritage/cultural music and dance festivals. So grateful our beautiful city of Houston offers such fantastic FREE events for the community! Take advantage and enjoy!!!

Jason Z.

Yelp
Fantastic landmark in the Houston area. This is located in the heart of Houston in Herman Park and next to the zoo and a lot of free events are held here; musical, plays, etc. Highly recommend to get their calender and attend some events. Parking is free and readily available.

Thierry T.

Yelp
1. Activities - Picnic or just enjoy the show (whatever performance it may be that day). Some days, they have an orchestra performance, ballet, Japanese drum performance, acrobats, dances, broadway, concerts, magical, and many more. Check out their website for their scheduled performances. This usually happens between late Spring - Fall. Pack your own food and drinks if you want any. 2. Price - this is totally free. If you want to sit on the chairs, come a few hours early to get the tickets. 3. Ambiance - this is mainly outdoors, but there is a covered area. You park in the same parking lot for the Houston Zoo. You sit on hilltop looking down on the stage. Bring something to sit on whether it's a blanket or lawn chair. People bring their dogs too, but make sure to leash them. 4. Fun - this can be a family fun activity for all ages. A good hang out spot, and quite romantic too. 5. Cleanliness - clean public restrooms. This is a local gem. Definitely have to check his place out!

Kim P.

Yelp
such a great experience! the weather was lovely and I can't wait to come back

Kara H.

Yelp
Miller can be a great venue, even in the summer. You can get tickets online now--sit under the cover, and there are large fans that circulate air. On a dry night, when the crowd isn't too packed, it's actually pleasant. [All bets are off when there is humidity or a mob of people.] Parking is difficult. Consider having a ride drop you off near the theater entrance.

Brittany S.

Yelp
What a Houston treasure! As I sat there on our blanket watching free live bluegrass under the stars near downtown Houston, my mind was racing with ways in which Indy could activate our WRSP stage to offer free cultural experiences throughout the year ranging from flamenco and bluegrass to ballet and the symphony. Miller Theatre has offered Houstonians experiences such as these for decades with zero cost and free range to bring a picnic and make a night of it. We were even able to bring our own wine (no glass). Oh, and did I mention it's a dog friendly event as well? The variety of productions throughout the year offers something for everyone. Performing arts, music, kid-friendly, you name it. The surrounding park is also ideal for taking your pup/kiddo for a quick stroll. Rumor has it, it can be superrrr hot during the summer performances (there isn't a ton of shade in the viewing area). With it being later in the season, we were able to easily find parking a few blocks away but that's not always the case. Check the schedule the next time you're in Houston for fantastic performances and local company.

John G.

Yelp
Guys, this is so nice ! You can chill on grass, watching a movie eating your pizza. I highly recommend it ! Don't forget your wine and pizza. Have fun enjoy ! Pet friendly, family friendly !

Farrah A.

Yelp
Like most native Houstonians, some of my fondest childhood memories took place at Miller Outdoor Theatre: rolling down its monstrous hill during field trips to the Zoo and nearby museums; Mom pulling us out of school to attend the Cinco de Mayo festivities - and one particular year circa '92 (I was in the 3rd grade) I ran up to Mayor Bob Lanier in a crowd of people and he kindly signed my copy of the Chronicle. Fast forward some 20+ years and the memories keep a happenin'. Catching "A Midsummer Night's Dream" during the summer's Shakespeare Festival, Houston Ballet, Houston Opera, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and cultural performances like Bollywood musicals and Taiko drummers. And they have daytime performances on a weekly basis for the kiddies. Tips: *Bring the picnic baskets filled with goodies, bevs, blankets, BUG SPRAY, citronella candles *Bring on the booze, but no glass. *If you want reserved seating up by the stage, stop by MOT early and snag your free tickets. *Grass area: Lawn chairs MUST be seated stage left; blankets stage right. *Please don't talk during the show. It's rude. ***And as everyone else mentioned, all of these performance and festivities at MOT are FREE. If you want some good karma, make a monetary contribution to the non-profit online, via check or money order. And it's tax deductible.*** My one wish for MOT is to extend its season's schedule. How lovely would it be to sip on a cup of hot cocoa while bundled up in a Snuggie and catch a winter show? Sure beats the summer's heat!

Nancy C.

Yelp
I am a fan, always have been always will be. I watch the schedule. There is always something I want to see here. Meeting friends and laying on our blankets with the kids is fun for all of us. The truth is it's a pain finding parking on really great events. Just plan a fun day at the park don't try to get here an hour before it will be a disaster. I've managed to learn some tricks. I'd tell you but it's like giving you the milk without buying the cow. I know it doesn't have the same meaning but you get the jest. It was hard work on my part figuring it out!

Tish P.

Yelp
Love this place! First time there for Dancin' in the Street: Motown & More Revue this past weekend, since I was a kid...parking was horrific! I'd recommended getting there a couple hours early if you want to sit on the lawn and ease finding parking. We parked 10 minutes away and avoided traffic coming and leaving. I like sitting under the covered seating. They have fans plus I like actually having a seat and it's more orderly. It's by ticket but they open it up 5 mins before show time for unclaimed seats. It's a gamble but can pay off. It's all free, you don't buy tickets as someone stated, they give them away the day of the show. 4 pp It's really a treat. If you've never been, the shows are great...always entertaining and professional. MOT totally defies the notion that nothing is free! And if it is, it's not worth anything. I don't know about any other exception but you can bet your bottom dollar MOT is definitely one. Great for the entire family, even Lassie! She's welcome along with non-glass alcohol.

Team L.

Yelp
I love this place they get free concerts and it's always clean and the seating is great. Houston is one of my favorite cities to hang out in. Hands-down in the Miller outdoor theater is one of the reasons why

Leila R.

Yelp
What a happy little accidental discovery this place was! So due to a parking adventure (I parked about .75mi away from the HMNS by accident) I got an serendipitous sightseeing trek to my original destination that I do not regret in the slightest! I am still not exactly sure how this place works as I literally just walked into a performance practice when I came up on the MOT, but by the signage I discerned that there are various cultural performances that take place here, all free (unless I misunderstood the wording). They start giving out the tickets at the box office at a certain time and until a certain time prior to the performance. From the looks of it, they had some very cool and interesting cultural performances coming up. The one I happened to see by happenstance was a Japanese drum and dance performance with some pretty impressive acrobatic routines! I was walking by when I heard some very large drums and decided to investigate. I walked into the amphitheater area and there was a group onstage, drumming and doing acrobatics, and then the stage rose with some lovely japanese women in full garb doing a fan dance to some gorgeous traditional japanese music! I took a seat and figured if I wasn't supposed to be there, someone would surely tell me, but no one ever approached me, so I was treated to a practice session for what I assume was an upcoming show and it was spectacular! I hope to catch one of the actual performances at this glorious outdoor (but covered) amphitheater since getting a free taste, I am hungry for more!

Medina K.

Yelp
Always a great time at any show! Love them all! Now parking is a BEAST and can be frustrating to say the least... Going for a show that you really want to see, get there a few hours prior to start time. There's so much to do when you get there, from taking walks around the path, the train ride, the Concession stand, and many more. You also can pack some light snacks and beverages! We usually take a few blankets, foldable lawn chairs with a cooler and a picnic basket. Hey, it's free, fun, and entertaining! Kids love to fly kites while running up and down the big hills there to. Enjoy

Melissa S.

Yelp
I've been coming here for decades. Sitting on the hill and watching a performance is wonderful. It's quickly becoming a 4th of July tradition. Packed a fabulous picnic including wines and champagne. If you forget your blanket or snacks, no or problem, you can buy a loaded picnic basket there.

Clint M.

Yelp
Miller Outdoor Theater is simply a gorgeous and amazing experience. The venue is nice, the early covered seating is great if you want to stay out of direct sunlight in hot months or out of the rain during nights where there might be a downpour. The hill is open seating, making for great lawn viewing, picnics, and even bringing your own chairs and watching the show from a great perspective. They make a point of having a good variety of acts performing. The last one I saw was a musical show on St. Patrick's Day that included Irish ballads and river dancing. Not all of their shows are good though. I've attended more than a few theatrical performances that were complete snooze-fests and we left during an intermission. Do your homework before showing up.

Akilah H.

Yelp
For some odd reason it won't let me post my videos. I have great footage of this event. I came for the Motown Review and it was my first time being here for an actual event n have lived here all my life. I now wish I had come sooner. I had so much fun at the Motown Review. All the artists that performed were amazing. Amazing round of applause to everyone who had a hand in putting the show together. I will definitely be coming to this event from here on out.

Madison P.

Yelp
Hauntingly beautiful when not in use, but at night, when the stage lights are on and the curtains are up it's a spectacular site!! I typically buy tickets online or sit on the hill to watch the shows so I can't vouch for the waiting time to buy tickets, but I can say seating is fairly decent. Though I haven't been to a show in awhile I know that at one point if their were seats left unfilled--non ticket holders could snatch them up!! I've never done this as my anxiety would surely skyrocket, but I believe it to be a nice gesture. Even when you're saving seats for family members who have set to return for the most part people are fairly understanding and retreat to the hill after no luck. Speaking of which! The hill is the unique feature of this theatre. A time beneath the stars as you sit on a lawn chair or blanket and eat with family and friends as you enjoy the show. Couldn't ask for a better venue!!

Kailey N.

Yelp
Such a cute idea and area! I've been to a few showings here and they've all been wonderful. There is a wide variety of shows: from live performances of Shakespeare to classic movies like Night of the Living Dead. Its completely free to bring a blanket and sit on the hill, some people even make a picnic out of it and bring snacks. Kids and dogs are welcome, the events are always super family friendly!

I do miss this place. The Taiko performances and ballets were my favorite. I can't wait until this pandemic is a memory but that may be a while. Miller Outdoor Theatre deserves all the stars and then some

Yelp
It is HSF, Houston Shakespearean Festival time! Free Shakespeare in rep for the next 10 days. Go to the ticket booth and ask for tickets for that night's show. They are FREE! You can pick up at 10:30 AM the day off and the rest of the tickets are given away 1 hour before the show starts. At 810 you must be seated. At 810 all seats are released and you can fill in empty seats in the theatre if you didn't get tickets. Amazing lawn on the hill. Bring a blanket and a picnic if you prefer. Always great shows directed and run by the amazing University of Houston School of Theatre!
