How to Plan a "Twilight"-Themed Trip to Washington State | Condé Nast Traveler

"For an overnight that fully leans into the saga, I love this inn—affectionately known as “The Cullen House” for its striking resemblance to the book’s description, with a white-painted exterior, wraparound porch, and timeless design; inside you’ll find a replica of the graduation cap artwork, special “Cullen House” mugs, and a second-floor room styled like Carlisle’s office with medical equipment and decor pulled from the text, plus innkeepers who “speak Twilight” to keep the immersion going." - Jamie Spain

We had the most magical stay over Thanksgiving weekend at the Miller Tree Inn! The place was absolutely beautiful, so cozy, and perfectly clean. The holiday decorations were fantastic. We enjoyed watching movies and borrowing DVDs from the library they had there, and the hot cocoa and complimentary snacks were such a nice extra. I loved all the Twilight touches, Carlisle's office was AMAZING, as well as the wall of graduation caps. The location was perfect for us to be able to access surrounding activities like the Hoh Rain Forest and Port Angeles. Highly recommend this beautiful, cozy inn whether you're a Twilight fan or not! We didn't want to leave!

The room was impeccable and smelled amazing. Waking up to big picture windows, enjoying breakfast in bed, and listening to the rain against the glass was incredibly relaxing. As a huge Twilight fan, I loved the selection of Twilight movies available to watch on the DVD player and of course, Carlisle’s office and the graduation caps —such cool touch! The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the TVs were a great bonus. I’ve stayed in other hotels around Forks, and this one is by far the best. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying "ABSOLUTELY STUNNING" place to stay. Miller Tree Inn is a place I would love to go back to in the future. The room my wife and I rented was so cool!! It had a little fireplace in it and a jetted tub. Which was really nice to relax in after the drive up there. It was luxurious but also simple. The reason for the 5 stars comes with the way they went above and beyond to accommodate my desires to make our stay there memorable. I worked with one of the staff to get some art work and supplies to surprise my wife when we got there. We emailed back and forth until we came up with the perfect materials. We had a paint by numbers poster, scrapbook items, a box to paint for memories and more. She helped me to gather my ideas and helped make this a special stay. At this point we had roughly 2 weeks until we were going to stay in our room. When we showed up all of the materials were in our room. Along with sparkling cider, chocolates and beautiful flowers. My wife LOVED it! To see the happiness on her face is the reason I loved it too. The next morning at 9am we got a knock on our door with breakfast. No matter what I give it 5 stars but the one thing I would say is that the beds were a little stiff. I woke up with my back a little sore. The rest of the experience made it all worth it though. Undoubtedly well worth it!!! Thank you Miller Tree Inn for everything you did!!

Staying here was such a cozy and healing experience. I came to Forks to visit Olympic National Park, and even though I am not a Twilight fan, I chose this place because it looked so charming. Best decision ever. Everything was spotless and well-kept when we arrived. Parking was easy, and the front yard with tall trees made me feel like the park magic continued right at the property. We arrived about an hour early, and when I texted the host, they replied quickly and kindly to let us check in. The room was super comfortable. There was a jacuzzi tub with plenty of hot water, which was perfect after hiking. The area was quiet and peaceful, and in the morning I enjoyed watching the mist settle over the town before breakfast. Breakfast was prepared just as requested, and everything tasted great. The host was welcoming in a calm, thoughtful way that made the whole atmosphere even warmer and more relaxing. Overall, I could not have asked for a better stay. Cozy, calm, and memorable in every way.

We had an enjoyable stay at Miller Tree Inn in the Petersen Perch room. Good location as a base of operations to do western region of Olympic National Park and the pacific coast and Juan de Fuca coast. The room was very nice, with a great view out the back window. Nice bathroom (and soaker tub!). The water pressure to the shower could be improved a wee bit to my liking but was otherwise great. We did a a completely contactless check in and the instructions for how to get up and in to the room were spot on. As a minor note, for those considering staying in Petersen Perch, it is on the very top floor and there are quite a few steps to get up there (we were an an almost two week vacation overall (3 nights here) so heavy luggage). The breakfasts were very nice with a range of options and delivery to the room were greatly appreciated. It's not a cheap room by any means, especially for the area, but I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I had plans to explore this site of Washington state again.

What can I say? Just wow. We stayed in the Elk View room for two nights on our PNW honeymoon and it was impeccable. Anything we could ever think to want was in the room. The space was so relaxing. We actually decided to spend our whole day relaxing in the room as our rest day between hiking adventures. This is the kind of place where you feel truly relaxed in the space. The bathtub and complimentary bath salts were amazing, the sheets were incredibly soft, the complimentary snacks and sodas, the DVD library, the common area downstairs where we ate our meals and read our books, all of it was perfect. Teresa (aka Mama T) was incredibly kind and hospitable! Breakfast was delicious. It was insanely clean and we’re huge Twilight fans, so the nods to the films throughout the house were a great touch. We’re from the northeast and a place like this back home would easily cost $1000+. If we ever return to Forks, we will hands down be staying here. 100/10.

We were absolutely thrilled by our experience at Miller Tree Inn! We booked a room for our wedding night, and although we arrived pretty late, the self check-in process was a breeze. My husband has severe food allergies, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure he had a safe and delicious breakfast. They sent us pictures of ingredient labels ahead of time, provided us with extra allergy-friendly snacks, and even baked us homemade muffins that he could eat! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we were so thankful to be able to enjoy a meal together without worrying about allergies. Additionally, we found that the inn was quiet and peaceful, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Forks! Thank you so much to the staff for making our experience so special.

This is one of the coziest inns I’ve ever had the fortune of staying in. I opted for the orchard suite and I can’t recommend it enough. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchenette was great for having a little extra space to make meals, and the fireplace added to much warmth to the overall comfort of my stay. I spent a few long days exploring Olympic National Park and having the orchard suite to come back to after 12 hour days was truly a balm. The common area is also extremely cozy and intimate. It feels so well loved and cared for, and inviting! And the staff was friendly, offering suggestions for what to do in the area and even chatting about the local wildlife. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in PNW, I strongly urge you book a stay at the Miller Tree Inn. Also this is a detail that probably doesn’t mean much to anyone else but me, but the scented lotion in our bathroom was Twilight Woods by Bath & Body Works, which was one of my favorite scents when I was a teenager. Being able to form new associations with that scent and this trip made it extra special!

Yelp
The Miller Tree Inn, also known as The Cullen House was such a delight to stay at in Forks! They have several Twilight memorabilia and movies you can check out during your stay! During your stay you get complimentary breakfast, it was nice to have during a peaceful morning in Forks! We stayed in the sunset room and although it was small, it was fairly cozy. Staying at the Miller Tree Inn we had a relaxing time despite being interrupted by other people who mistakenly got their booking wrong and knocked our door. Nice and serene place to stay on your Twilight fanatic trip!

Yelp
Despite it being listed as a 2-star hotel, the Miller Tree Inn felt like a 5-star experience! When I arrived into my room, it felt less like an inn and more like the comfort of someone's lovely home. I'd highly recommend anyone exploring the area to spend at least one night here. This place has Twilight memorabilia, which includes a replica of Carlisle Cullen's office right next to our room! Speaking of our room, we booked a Sunset room which, despite being the smallest room at the Inn, felt considerably spacious for 2 people. The shower was in a separate room from the sink and toilet, and we had a fridge stacked with drinks as shown below. When we woke up in the morning, we had freshly made breakfast delivered to us in the lobby downstairs (which also had free snacks to take). Overall the experience was 10/10, the owners of the inn was incredibly kind and communicative before and during our stay!

Yelp
Forks is not a big town, but it is home to Twilight and is a quaint and comfortable place to be. Yes, they do have many small hotels right off main street, but why stay in the very basic, no-frills, hotel room when there is a MUCH better "Home away from Home" alternative down the street. After all, the entire town is totally walkable, and if you happen to be a twilight fan, or even just a "Twi Guy", you can further immerse yourself into the local culture during your stay. The Inn is located in a wonderful part of town and offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Trent and Mary Beth run the Inn as a home that has several inviting common areas, equipped with snacks, where guests can relax, play games and or even socialize. The rooms (Suites) are spacious, bright and have all the amenities of home, they are VERY comfortable. The provided gourmet breakfast is a highlight, especially in a town where every restaurant is a gamble. This Inn is a gem and the wonderful owners are absolutely there for you the entire time. If you find a better place to stay, you're not in Forks! Cheers!!

Yelp
The Inn was beautiful! It was clean and inviting. We stayed in the Elk View room. It was clean and spacious. We left our windows open and loved hearing the frogs and cows. The owner, Trent was very friendly and gracious. Wish we would have stayed here longer. It's a great place to stay if you are here for Twilight but also just a great place to stay in general!

Margaret M.

Yelp
Great host with personalized attention. The room was comfort, clean, and styled to the theme of the house. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We were visiting Olympic National Park and last minute realized that we didn't have one night booked anywhere. Miller Tree Inn had a last minute opening for the Weathervane room. (My husband and I haven't seen twilight, so we didn't even know this was a destination stay for the series.) Our expectations were low coming to stay, since we didn't do much research and didn't see many photos..... WOW were our expectations blown out of the water! When we arrived, the common area was being mopped and the staff was very kind in greeting us. The common space was spotless, equipped with free snacks for guests (such as bonus). Our room was on the third floor, and it was way more spacious than we thought. It had a coffee machine, mini fridge, pull out couch, and a fireplace. The attention to detail was perfect, such as providing plenty of towels and the room had two floor fans (a plus for someone like me who sleeps with white noise). The bathroom was spotless, and I am someone who is very picky about bathrooms. After a long day of hiking, we had the best shower of the whole trip! The bed was very comfy and we slept amazing. Then to top it all off, the breakfast was superb. Trent was so kind and welcoming. We had the most beautiful window table and had a peaceful breakfast watching the crows. Overall, this was our favorite stay during our trip. We definitely want to come back soon.

Yelp
Hosts were very kind and room was clean. The home was cozy and the food was delicious.

Yelp
Very beautiful spot. Staff let us check in early which was great. The room was clean and the perch was a great upgrade. Felt private and had a nice view.

Jessica G.

Yelp
The Miller Tree Inn, the historic Peterson farmhouse, is easily the most desirable overnighter in the small town of Forks. We stayed in the Country Clover room featuring a fireplace and two person bathtub. The room was impeccably clean and stocked with a variety of toiletries. Despite the reputation of bed and breakfast joints, there was ample privacy during our stay; we wouldn't even have known there were other guests until breakfast. Patrons conveniently sign up for their breakfast time slots in the morning which will provide you with a hearty meal if you plan on exploring the peninsula or Olympic national park. During our stay we went to the Hoh Rainforest, Cape Flattery, and the Makah Museum. (And for any Twilight fans out there, the Miller Tree Inn has incorporated many Twilight Easter eggs in their charming farmhouse.)

Kristin P.

Yelp
Super clean, friendly owners and staff, delicious food and the perfect location! We stayed in the Peterson Perch room and the view was breathtaking. The sheets and the towels were fresh and clean. We loved the breakfast and Mary Beth was an excellent cook. And they had snacks available around the clock, including fresh fruit and trail mix that was perfect for our day hikes. And when we needed to unwind at night we enjoyed the selection of games and DVDs. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Yelp
What a gem! Why would you stay in a hotel when you could stay here!? Sweet couple from Mississippi are the owners. Even when booking this place months ago they were so helpful over the phone as we were going to need a later check in. When we arrived, we were greeted outside and oriented around to the commons space and our room. The downstairs common space is so cozy and inviting. Our room was a perfect size for us. You may notice some unique features as the house was originally built in early 1900s but I think it gives charm! It does not have the "old" feeling even though it's an older home. You can tell they have put in a lot of effort to make it updated. We stayed in the sunset room and even had a fridge and keurig in our room. We were a quick one night stay and early check out but they do cook breakfast in the morning. They let you know what it is night before and you can sign up for your time slot. Would definitely return and highly recommend!

Yelp
We loved staying at The Miller Tree Inn last April. Mary Beth and Trent were so welcoming and friendly. The house itself is perfectly placed so you have the accessibility of town but the beauty of the farmland next door. Our room was so cozy and we loved the large window overlooking the yard. The renovations have been well done without taking away from the rustic charm of the Inn. We appreciated the nice hot showers after long days of hiking trails and beaches. Fresh hot breakfast each morning in the dining room was amazing. This was by far our favorite place to stay during our week of travels and we definitely hope to stay here on our next trip to the Olympic Peninsula.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast was perfection. My husband and I are not Twi-Hearts, so the property's significance was not the reason we booked. However, it is the only redeeming quality of Forks. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. We were not able to hear other guests. And the breakfast was delicious. If I ever find a need to go to that area again, we will be staying at this B&B again.

Erica P.

Yelp
Stayed at the Miller Tree Inn after having it recommended and it was an amazing stay! We booked the orchard suite which allowed us to have our dog with us. We were greeted warmly and toured through the common spaces and taken to our room. We had a stove top and fridge in the room which was amazing. The whirlpool tub was a big plus after a day of hiking. The breakfast was amazing and easily the best meals we had while in town. Cant recommend this BNB enough and will certainly stay there again on our next trip.

Kay S.

Yelp
We loved our stay at Miller Tree Inn. We booked here since we have a Twilight fan in our family. We were pleasantly surprised when we realized how nice the owners were. We stayed in the Orchard Suite and were allowed to bring our fur baby. They had lots of fun Twilight 'touches' including games, movies, books, etc. We were also happy to see that Dr. Cullen was a Lifetime Member of the WSU Alumni - Go Cougs! Anything you want for your Twilight fun. Breakfast was tasty and we highly recommend this place!

Yelp
For those looking for a warm accommodation in the town of Forks, this bed and breakfast is it. It's the closest place to the Hoh River Trail in Olympic National Park. The place is cute for couples and is also family friendly. One thing to note is that there are lots of stairs depending on the room you choose. Our room came with a nice hot-tub to enjoy after the hike. If you're looking for a pleasant place to hit the sack, the Miller Tree will win you over.

Jill B.

Yelp
We chose the Miller Tree Inn in Forks, Wa because it is near the Hoh Rainforest. The Inn is lovely. It is clean and homey feeling. The owners, Trent and Mary Beth are delightful! Trent really made us feel welcome. It was like staying with friends. Truly a hidden gem!

Larrissa L.

Yelp
We had a great time!! They were very welcoming even though we got into town late and we had our privacy. Anything you could ask for was available. Yummy baked goods in the morning and a bunch of snacks in the room. Above and beyond with sanitation practices. Breath taking view. All you can ask for in these crazy times.

Traci D.

Yelp
We stayed for a short overnight stay while adventuring all over the peninsula over the course of 8 days. It seemed too short, and I knew I'd stay here again and again. I can't say enough about the warmth, comfort, kindness, and care the owners extend with their Inn. You can tell they care deeply about their experience moving to the area years ago, and eventually taking over the inn from the original owners (talk with them, their story is inspiring). They care so much for each guest that walks through their doors. They gave us great advice for making our short time in Forks count too! The beds were comfortable, the fire warming, and conversations we had were like talking to old friends. We also had a couple diet restrictions for breakfast which they were able and willing to accommodate. I'm already planning a trip back to ONP for next summer and Miller Tree Inn is on my list for lodging. Thank you Mary Beth and and Trent....See you next summer!

Jessica G.

Yelp
My ex and I recently drove up from Seattle and stayed here for 1 night while doing the Twilight tour (we did our own; not the organized tour put on by the Forks Visitors Center). We were not disappointed. :) I had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before, but I have to say, I was really impressed! The owners, Bill and Susan, were friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable of Twilight trivia, and extremely gracious. The house was decked out with Twilight touches, but it was not over-the-top. I enjoyed the details they put into it to create a semi-real feeling of staying in the "Cullen House," such as Carlisle's office, a note from the Cullens (who had gone to Isle Esme for the weekend), and stockings for the entire family over the fireplace. We stayed in The Sunset room, which was spacious, comfortable, and gave us a beautiful view of misty Forks in the morning. The room had separate rooms for both the restroom and shower, which was a nice touch. Each room has a set of the Twilight books, as well as DVDs of the movies. The Inn is obviously centrally located to everything you'd want to see in Forks (as a Twilight fan). La Push is about a 20-minute drive away, and that's the furthest you'll go except for Port Angeles (about 1-hour drive away). I would definitely stay here again; maybe in the summer so that I can go hiking!

Vanessa I.

Yelp
This is a lovely place! My husband and I wanted a nice place to stay after all our hiking and exploring of Olympic National Park. Forks is know for Twilight which is cute, but not why we stay here. Miller Tree Inn is charming. It is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Elk View room. It is large- 2 bedrooms. Four people can easily stay there. Each room has own TV and a shared fridge, micro and coffee maker. It even has a jacuzzi tub, which comes is handy after miles of hiking . It is clean, updated and sweet. Plenty of space downstairs in the common area. It is warm and welcoming. The host, Trent is very nice and accommodating. Good coffee and breakfast.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Wow, so glad we stumbled across this gem! Mary Beth & Trent were able to accommodate our last minute same day reservation request. The house is warm, cozy & charming! They advised us on the sites we wanted to see as well as sites not found on maps. Our room was very clean, spacious & packed with snacks! 5 stars doesn't seem enough! Highly recommend if you plan on visiting Twilight country!

Lyn G.

Yelp
Five stars is not enough to express our appreciation to Trent and Mary Beth for a wonderful stay. We mostly interacted with Trent who was generous and helpful. The Inn is really nice and our room was really comfortable. And the breakfast was great. I was sick one of the days and Trent went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. I can't speak highly enough of Trent and the Miller Tree Inn. A great place to stay!! Thank you. Lyn

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here this weekend and absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing. The room was spacious and well equipped. The jacuzzi tub (in the Peterson Perch) was rejuvenating. The food was delicious. Most importantly the steps they took to mitigate potential COVID-19 spreading left us feeling safe. It was a great place to stay and we highly recommend it! Plus if you're a Twilight fan, like my wife, don't forget to check out Carlisle's office!

Meg L.

Yelp
I stayed at Miller Tree for 3 nights and it was the best weekend I could have ever asked for. I stayed in the Ella Suite which has an amazing window with a gorgeous view of the fields and the mountains. The breakfasts were home cooked and delicious and the entire staff were extremely kind and accommodating, especially the owners Mary Beth and Trent. Miller Treen Inn is a must stay if you're headed to the Forks area!
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
The breakfast in the mornings is fantastic! We stayed in Ella's Suite for two nights and it had a cute quaint charm. There were fresh cookies in our room when we arrived and lots of extra goodies for snacks and drinks which was a really nice touch. The only downsides were that the curtains didn't do a great job blocking out the light which made it a little tough to sleep in. Also, it was a bit muggy in our room, but we did not know that air conditioning (window style) was available until the last day. The staff was very friendly, and took great care to social-distance. They had a lot of safety precautions in place to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Wonderful experience! Our family of 5 (3 young adults and 2 parents) planned a trip to Washington state and wanted to visit the national parks as well as Seattle. We decided to stay at the Miller Tree Inn because of its close location to La Push and Hoh Rainforest. (and Crescent Lake is very near as well!) We were not disappointed at all! The Miller Tree Inn is lovely, clean and well located for visits to our destinations. The rooms were super clean and lovely-and well stocked with all you will need. We stayed in the Peterson Perch and Elk View rooms. Both were just right for us and the view from both was serene and beautiful- pastures, cows, foothills, fog- just lovely and relaxing. The Inn keepers, Trent and Mary Beth are very friendly and helpful, offering many great ideas for outings and local food establishments. I will be very honest and say that the food scene in Forks is pretty dismal, so be prepared for that. The Twilight aura is fun and our daughters enjoyed the memories with DVDs and books that are available for guests. I highly recommend Miller Tree Inn for those who are Twilight fans or those who are eager to visit the Olympic National Parks.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
We looked online ahead of time and the Miller BnB did not let us down. We rented the smallest room there, still had cable, twilight movies, and complimentary sodas/cookies. Also a view of the cows out in the pasture! Not much going on in Forks, and really the motels all look pretty bummy, so if you're there for fun, business or stuck and can afford a bit more, this is the spot. -Gingerbread pancakes with lemon syrup for breakfast, wow, just wow!
google avatar

Wouldntu L.

Yelp
We loved "Cullen House"!! We stayed in the Country Clover room for 2 nights. This room has a huge whirlpool hot tub with jets and s decent size bathroom with a shower. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was very clean. Our mini fridge was stocked with soda and water. Our room also had a microwave, tea bags, cups. Susan and Bill are sweet and friendly! Susan made us delicious omelettes with toast. We also had fresh fruit for breakfast and our choice of coffee, OJ or grapefruit juice. The have a decent dvd movie collect that you can choose from. We're not really big Twilight fans but if you are, you would definitely enjoy staying here. The town people are very friendly and welcoming. We ate at Blakeslee's, Pacific Pizza and Taqueria Santa Ana. They were all very yummy! Go for a hike at Hoh Rainforest and you'll thank me later. We'll definitely be back again!!

Yelp
Such a cool little place. I went up with my family from the Bay Area (CA) to get some puppies. We arrived in the evening to get them & had no arrangements to stay anywhere. The breeder let us know about this spot & called for us. They luckIly had a cancellation & had lowered the price! We drovE right over. Had a fabulous nights sleep in the room in the back (not connected to house.) it wAs like a granny with a kitchen, bathroom, couch area with tv & a bedroom. Breakfast was served in the morning, delicious! Very kind people. If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely stay again
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for our Twilight themed weekend get-a-way, and let me tell you, we were so glad we did! First off, Bill and Susan are just wonderful people. They made us feel right at home and were very welcoming. Not to mention breakfast was simply amazing, peach stuffed french toast with caramel drizzle, to die for!! They are also very knowledgable about the area, and were more than happy to cater to our Twilight obsession! We got to see Carlisle's office (since the inn is based off the Cullen house) and even got a letter from and signed by all the Cullen's. It was so cool!!! The room we stayed in was the Elk View room, and it was so much more than I expected. Hot tub with jets, fireplace that heated up the room extremely well, and a nice comfy bed. Their attention to detail was amazing too, having lotion, shampoo conditioner, and body wash already in the shower, scented bath oils, and all the Twilight DVD's and books. To say the least our trip was made perfect by staying here, I would recommend The Miller Tree Inn to anyone!!

Yelp
-DISCRIMINATION- We attempted to book a room on Saturday, July 13th and we were told there was one room available; their third floor unit with King sized bed renting for $240/night. However, after finding out that our infant son (3 months old) was accompanying us on a weekend trip, they refused to rent to us stating that our child was under the age of 7 and therefore prohibited in this particular room. We protested on the grounds that we felt this was discrimination and because their listing on Google Maps clearly states they are kid friendly. (It baffles us that the term "kid friendly" even exists in housing.) The nice young man that answered the phone (who said he was the breakfast chef) stated that the only room available for children to stay in was booked for the evening and that it just so happened to be the only unit they allow dogs to stay in as well. Both my husband and I are professional property managers and were shocked to say the least. Just imagine for a moment that you attempted to rent an apartment; when the manager finds out that you have a child they either steer you to the back 40 where the run-down "pet" units are located or states that they won't rent to you because they have no more "pet friendly" units available. Wow!! In an age where businesses are being sued for discriminating against women that are breast feeding in public you would think they'd be more cautious about their attempts to discriminate against children and mothers. My husband and I discussed the problem for awhile before deciding to call the business back to speak with a manager in case the young man was incorrect regarding their policy. A woman named Gay answered the phone and when we pressed she confirmed that children under 7 years of age are not allowed in the hotel and children over 7 years of age are only allowed in the "pet" room. Sadly, this left us with the feeling that they are anti-family and that we were discriminated against.

Yelp
We loved our stay at Miller Tree Inn, or aka The Cullen House. My husband is a Forks native so we will keep the references to Twilight to a minimum. The house once was owned by the town doctor, and for us that was fun trivia. The doctor who delivered my husband, and performed other small procedures like stitches and such, LOL. The present owners were not present for our stay however the staff were wonderful. Gay was who greeted us and got us all settled, we had a party of four with two rooms. There are lots of stairs so plan accordingly. The breakfasts were wonderfully prepared and lots of options off the daily menu. Tillamook yogurts, baked goods, fresh fruit, juices, bars, etc. Rooms had mini-fridge with free water, juices, and pops. Our Pearson Perch room was wonderful, opened the window for fresh air, and had the window A/C for coolness. The best part of our stay...using the porch to hang out and enjoy wine and snacks, and enjoy the cat Moira, and our Tillamook ice cream before bed every night. We were allowed to use some space in a refrigerator and made things so special. Gay told us about the elk coming down in the evenings and we saw a large herd, beautiful! We will be back for sure. For you who are Twilight oriented, the house has wonderful touches all around it. Pick this place!

Yelp
There is a lot about the MTI to like that has everything to do with Forks and (almost) nothing to do with Twilight. Although - truth be told - we did end up watching the first two films at night using the DVDs conveniently placed in each of the rooms. But the best touches here are the personal ones that speak to years of experience in the B&B business before Stephanie Meyer was barely out of BYU: evening snacks and hot water for tea, along with fresh coffee; an excellent selection of music, movies, and books for guest use; superb from-scratch breakfasts (announced ahead of time on a sign outside the kitchen); cute housepets to attract attention (a sharp-cornering, speed-demon kitten, in this case); a lovely outdoor landscape that opened up into softly lit rural farms and sweet-smelling meadows; very kind and gracious innkeepers who made us feel at home immediately; and an incredible natural environment for exploring, from forests to mountains to seashores of immense proportion and utter solitude. It's a quiet, unassuming place, but very calm and most contemplative: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miller-tree-inn-forks?select=N5heACnceENQx-kq6cLztQ#p6788WOzLSqMZHQlVlJBIw We stayed two nights, to get orientation to the Olympic Peninsula, and found MTI to be a wonderful base camp. Hearty but also healthy breakfasts fueled our day-long adventures, and in the evening we dined on Neah Bay smoked salmon, Washington and Oregon wine, German rye bread (purchased earlier from a farmers' market), Tillamook cheese, and fresh vegetables purchased from an excellent local grocery store. Supplemented with teas and snacks from the MTI dining room (where else can you find a Pirate's Booty dispenser?), and complimented by some soft music on the stereo, it was an ideal way to end the day. Well that, and watching Twilight before drifting off to sleep. We liked Minnie's room, named after a famous local rancher and master horse packer who took many, many people into the Olympic mountains for decades. It had great morning light and was perfectly sized for two people. Before breakfast., you can walk on a quiet country road past farms that are postcard pretty (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miller-tree-inn-forks?select=N5heACnceENQx-kq6cLztQ#qCSwXIk8T6c23GB9_7wnUg) or go jogging to breath deeply into the stillness of clear, crisp air (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/miller-tree-inn-forks?select=N5heACnceENQx-kq6cLztQ#0_GA0xMUGl9_LJYNOgHRww). Then, for real adventure, try the Ozette Wilderness Triangle, a tricky 9 mile trek along forested paths and rocky shorelines, perhaps 90 minutes away by car (bring your tide table, though). It's a tester of a hike, especially the unmarked shoreline leg, but you'll enjoy it when it's over. A visit to Hoh would also be high on the list, if you can arrive in the morning when the elk are still active and the number of bipeds on the trail are few. Both of the short loop hikes from the visitor's center are immensely rewarding, although I can't wait to return again in summer to visit the Blue Glacier and the string of pearls lakes at the higher elevations. And if you need *any* ideas on what to do: just ask Bill. About anything, really. He's a history buff and an Olympic Peninsula local, so you're bound to find something fascinating to talk about. Which is part of what makes the B&B experience such a full-featured one. It's about the place, the people, and the points of contact in-between. Twilight just happens to be one contact point among many.

Yelp
I really liked it here. My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate two years together by exploring some parts of the Olympic Peninsula. To clarify, I've read the Twilight books. He hasn't. Neither of us are fans, and our mini-getaway decision of Forks was not Twilight-based at all. Cullen house or not, the Miller Tree Inn looked and sounded like a beautiful, comfortable place to stay, so we decided to give it a go. The owners/proprietors Bill and Susan were away for a wedding, so we met and were attended to by Michelle, who operates the inn when Bill & Susan are absent. She was a dog lover and a nice person, with helpful suggestions for us. We spent two nights there - the first night in the Coutnry Clover room and the second in the Orchard Suite. The Country Clover room was one large room, with a very comfortable (soft!) king-sized bed. There was a television and a DVD/VCR combo, with a few movies to choose from (including the two Twilight movies, of course). There was a loveseat to sit on, but the way the TV was positioned, watching from bed made more sense. There was a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary juice and pop. There was an enormous soaker tub in one corner, easily big enough for two, with bubble bath and jets and towels and even a rubber ducky. The bathroom had a regular shower/tub, sink, lotions, shampoo & conditioner, as well as a bidet toilet which washed your front end, and your back end, and even had a dryer setting (boyfriend and I both found it to be about as effective at drying as those hand-blowers in public bathrooms, but the warm air was pleasant nonetheless). For Twilight fans, there are a lot of touches for you here and there. For normal people like us, it's not overdone to the point of choking out normalcy, or anything. The Orchard Suite was separate from the main house. It's a private little suite with its own sitting area (with pull-out couch - it could use replacing, honestly. It kept coming apart while we sat on it), dining table, tv with VCR/DVD combo and fireplace, with separate entrances, and a separate bedroom with the same really comfy king-sized bed. It's right by the hot tub. Both suites had guestbooks/journals to write in, going back years, and it was great to read entries by other guests. Breakfasts were hot and plentiful both mornings - a ham scramble with toast and hashbrowns the first morning, and a hashbrown pie/quiche thing the second morning. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee, pastries are available as well, and when it isn't breakfast time, the sideboard is stocked with snacks (popcorn, cookies, brownies, fruit etc.) that you're welcome to, as well as a great selection of teas etc. There is a stretchy white cat there named Tunney, who once he warms up to you is lovely and enjoys being skritched. At night you can hear frogs frogging and cows cowing - we took pictures of the cows and even coaxed a calf to lick my hand over the fence. He was very cute. The hot tub is lovely - it was raining, and being in the steaming tub under the rainy grey sky with green fields, trees, and cows around us was a real treat. We had everything we needed and were well cared for. I wish checkout time were a bit later (though 11 is standard, I know), and that breakfast was served until 10 instead of 9, but maybe both of those wishes just serve to illustrate how lazy I am. :) I have to be honest that as non-Twilight fans, Forks really had nothing to offer us besides nature (Ruby Beach and the Hoh rainforest were gorgeous), and I don't know if we'd come back. The town wasn't so much our thing. But the Miller Tree Inn might convince me. It was a wonderful place to be. Thank you!

Yelp
My friend and I were planning a fun road trip to explore the great Northwest. While I was looking for a place to stay in Forks, I ran across the Miller Tree Inn on the Forks' Chamber of Commerce site when I clicked on the "Cullen House". Truth be told, I am not a fan of Twilight, but my friend is. I knew she was love staying at the official Cullen House. I was right, she did. :) When we arrived to the Inn it was well past 9:00 PM. We had stopped in Port Angeles to watch New Moon and have dinner at Bella Italia. I had called the inn a couple of times to let them know that we were on our way and that we still wanted the room. Bill and his wife were friendly and accommodating. We had a long, dark drive to Forks from Port Angeles and was happy to see a warm light in the window when we arrived. Guests were playing Scattergories at the table. Bill welcomed us warmly and took us to our room. I was pleasantly surprised to see that, while it was the "Cullen House", the inn wasn't puking with Twilight items. There were subtle nods to the book. One of the nicest touches was the graduation cap artwork that was next to the piano that was highlighted in the first film. We booked the Elk Room. My friend got the big King bed so she could get the full experience of her first B&B visit. The room had a temperature controlled fireplace, a DVD/VCR and a large television. Our room had a bathroom (a plus in a B&B) and a separate room with a queen futon. I slept on the very comfy futon. There was an awesome jacuzzi that my friend and I dipped our feet into to relax them after a full day on the road. The separate room had a mini fridge that was stocked with sodas and ice. It was awesome to have a place to hole up in after a long day out. There were snacks downstairs and when I had gone down at about 10:30, the lights were off and the other guests were in their rooms. I snuck some cookies and went back upstairs. Each room, we were told, had a copies of all the Twilight saga books as well as a Twilight DVD. We ended up watching Love, Actually so I wasn't in complete Twi-mersion. The next morning, we conversed with other guests over a delicious breakfast of glazed beef sausage and baked Parmesan eggs. There was an array of fresh fruit, fruit juices, coffee and tea to compliment the breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer. Alas... we had to move along to the next stop on our road trip. Bill was very helpful in giving us more movie sites that we could visit as well as directions and tips for traveling down the Northwest coast. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Forks Wonderful: free wi-fi, private bathroom, super sweet Tunney the cat, delish breakfasts, welcoming hosts

Yelp
My husband & I stayed in the Country Clover Room at Miller Tree Inn. I am a big Twilight fan and my husband gifted to me a complete Twilight themed birthday with our stay being at "The Cullen House". :) This was our first B&B experience. We were pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be really good & memorable one. We had everything that we could have thought of. Bill & Susan are the best hosts. All the little twilight trinkets all over the inn just thrilled me completely. Our room was large, had a TV/DVD with all Twilight movies, very comfortable King size bed, a real cute Jacuzzi good for two, love-seat, stocked mini-fridge and what not. I also had a Cake, Cider & beautiful flowers waiting for me in the room. The bathroom was fully stocked. I found the letter from the Cullen family really cute. Carlisle's office was a great touch & we took many pictures there. The breakfast was wonderful with Orange French toast & bacon. I even got a french toast without eggs specially made for myself all with a candle & a birthday song with all guests & Bill, Susan. :) It was so sweet. Other than that also, we had quite a few things to choose from including granola, cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, juices, coffee and all other beverages too. We were so well cared for that it felt as if we were with our own family. I can surely say it was one of the best part of our Forks tour. I really didn't feel like leaving it. Thanks Bill & Susan for making our stay so special...!!

Yelp
This place is has been my home away from home when I travel for business. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!! So cozy. Beds are super comfortable, I sleep like a baby. Mary Beth and Trent are the BEST HOSTS! The house is always very clean. I love the Twilight theme and all the little snacks they leave out for guests. The breakfasts are amazing too! I highly recommend!

Yelp
Got to stay here during my girls weekend in Forks touring all things Twilight. We looked this place up and found out it was the inspiration for the house described in the books. It was a nice bed and breakfast in a very cool location. They did a good job of making it feel like you were on the movie set or the original house in the books. The props and pictures throughout the house were nicely done. Our room was an apartment off the back of the house that was a large bedroom with a living room and slept 4 people comfortably! The breakfast that was served was delicious! The service was great and the owners were super friendly!

Yelp
Hands down- if you're staying in Forks, you should stay here. Bill was so welcoming and knowledgeable from the get go, and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Cedar Creek room... Absolutely gorgeous 3-wall windowed view off the front of the house. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The menu is posted outside the kitchen, and the breakfast room has continuous hot tea, cocoa, cookies and snacks throughout the day. There are books and movies throughout the B&B. Blarney the house kitty was quite entertaining once we finally spotted him! On the Twilight front, it's the only place to stay! But, if you're not a fan, you won't be overloaded with Twi-garb. It's great either way! Absolutely beautiful and everything you want in a bed and breakfast. Stay here!

Yelp
Wonderful and amazing place. Clean, homey, and amazing owners. I would recommend this place a million times over. Food is amazing, the owner and staff cooks delicious food with the perfect quantity. The rooms are so unique, taken care of, and all have their own story. The cat is quite the character as well. The view of the elk and quiet land is beautiful and well worth the money. I hope to stay here more often. Absolutely love the hardwood floors too!! You'll fall in love the minute you see your room. The owners are doing an amazing job.

Yelp
Warm hospitality, clean, comfortable and well appointed, kind enough to offer the State Rate. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else to stay in Forks. They put customer comfort first

Yelp
This place was amazing. The owners were just as sweet as could be and each morning made wonderful breakfast for all of the guests. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and inviting. Its a couple of blocks outside of town, which is REALLY nice, since the downtown area of Forks is...uh...sketchy. If you need a place to stay, this is it.

Yelp
We booked this place on a whim. Less then a week before the weekend we just decided to get away and I booked the first B&B that had an opening. Well we certainly got lucky with this one! We are not Twi-hards and just wanted some relaxation. The moment we walked in it was so quaint. Close enough to "town" that we walked to dinner but when walking around property it still felt like you were out there in nature. As far as Forks is concerned there isn't a ton to do, but between the beaches, rainforests and and the lakes there is tons to do. Susan and Bill the owners are as sweet as can be, and the charm of this place is second to none. We stayed in the Clover room and it was beautiful. The HUGE bath tub was a treat for my fiance who cannot even lay down in a regular sized tub. But the best part was bbreakfast! The coffee was Devine, the fruit was fresh, and even though I'm generally not a fan of gingerbread... those pancakes with that lemon syrup was devine.

Yelp
Nice place to stay at for a few days. Everything is nice and clean, sheets felt great and the fruit was ripe-perfect. However, I think that for the amount of money that you pay, food at breakfast was sparse. More variety should have been offered, such as tomatoes, olives, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and perhaps smoked salmon. I did not sense that the owners were in any way generous with the amount of food that was already served as well as with the variety of the food that should have been offered.

Yelp
What a cute little bed and breakfast. My friend and I did a road trip from Seattle all the way to Northern Washington and stopped for a night in Forks. I haven't read the Twilight books but the place had a bunch of the memorabilia. We were greeted by the innkeeper. She was so nice and welcoming but I just can't remember her name. She was working the night of October 2nd. She was really patient and recommended a place to eat. When we came back she answered even more questions. The room was a good size, clean, and had everything we needed. The fridge had complimentary water and sodas. Downstairs they had coffee and tea. I slept really well in the comfy bed. In the morning we headed downstairs for breakfast and ate french toast and sausage. Really good! If you are driving through and need a place to stay this place will be a good choice.

Yelp
Charming multi-story inn located on the farmlands towards the edge of town. Very easy to find, but still feels warm and private. Comfortable, well-serviced accommodations in the Elk View suite, with a view of the countryside. My family and I stayed during December, but the room stayed nice and warm. Operators Bill and Susan were pleasant and helpful, and served two very satisfying breakfasts featuring fluffy eggnog french toast and a very well-prepared eggs-bennie. Bill recommended a series of rainforest trails, one of which leads to Second Beach, for sightseeing. The geography of the western peninsula is primeval and impressive. Would definitely revisit, with the Miller Tree Inn as an outpost.

Yelp
This is a well run bed-and-breakfast in forks. We stayed two nights and were treated very well. Breakfast each morning was excellent the atmosphere very homey. This place is also extremely clean. We are definitely coming back to stay here.
