Charming and delicious! Love the food and the friendly service. We’re visiting from Utah and we will be back! Thank you, Millie’s!

Great breakfast! Just what you expect for a good breakfast at an unbelievable price! Millie's has what you are looking for! And, not at some crazy high cost.

Google
Greatly disappointed on one of my fav diners today. Took my family of 4 adults & 2 children for breakfast. It was very busy and chef lady told us very rudely - when i told waiter " it was a party of 6" the chef said - "we can't accommodate u" ( as only 2 single tables available)- but I said it's OK we will wait, of which we did outside. I felt very unwelcomed by cook. Order was mixed up, western omelet came as a sandwich not omelet w so small a serving of egg, juices were mixed up, our large order of pancakes served first- were slapped on table by chef lady w no plates- service was absent not paying us attention. My 3yr old was starving, I had to flag down waiter to get plates to give kids a bite while waiting for the rest of order. Not a good vibe in diner as it cleared out-so quiet u could hear a pin drop. Doesnt seem like a fun place to work. Each summer i loved taking my granddaughter for yummy pancake dates here, but now will take my business elsewhere. There's plenty of other choices in the area. The only pleasant person working there was man waiter. However, our order was quite mixed up. I saw a sign in window under new management, if its the cook lady-u need to be pleasant, not just to the men. Did not appreciate u calling my fiancee sweetie either as he pd the bill. No more Millie's for me.

I miss Millie's all the time. My dad, Ronnie Poole, came to Millies with his cronies every morning. Oh to have those days back! I remember walking to town and waiting in line with everyone else. I am so happy to hear nothing has changed :-) I'm in Australia now. There is nothing like Millie's here. xx Sue (Poole) Dietrich

Google
What a wonderful experience! Who would have thought that I would stumble upon this incredible, extraordinary, exquisite humble diner. My air bnb host had recommended an excellent place that only takes cash, but somehow, she never mentioned the name! As fate had it, I made it to Millie's anyways. Definitely grab the apple pancakes and sausages! Abby and Maureen are a wonderful help. Very homely place with nice vibes. I felt like I met the whole town of Whitman! Absolutely loved it. I'll definitely be back.

They do have take out, but personally I eat there. Breakfast just like mom use to make, best prices on the south shore.

Google
Even walking in I could tell that food was gonna be great. And it was. My only con would be watching her make a sandwich while eating a sandwich right over your sandwich that is being made. If you don't know where it is, you may walk right by it.

Love this breakfast place I wont go anywhere else if I had it my way!!!! Good food , fair prices, friendly people & staff, I've been going for over 20 yrs and I wont ever stop loving this place ,

Yelp
I was last here in February of 2019 and left a 5 star review. Since then things have changed a bit. The food remains good quality. The decor has been refreshed somewhat. The biggest change was the price. I included my order and bill total in my last review, so I was able to compare the price from just 6 years ago. What cost $24 then is now $47!!!! Wow! I know prices have gone up, but nearly double in 6 years is eye opening. Either way, I still love it here. Keep up the good work Millie's.

Yelp
This is the realest deal diner I think ever experienced! My friend wanted us to experience her childhood favorite spot and it was our first stop after our red eye flight. Classic breaky across the board with affordable prices and quick service. You can tell this is a spot the locals frequent. It's nothing special and you won't find anything fancy, but it's greasy, full plate breakfast hits the spot. I split the omelette and French toast with my husband and tried a few bites off my friend's plates. The pancakes are HUGE and potatoes are crispy and deliciously crispy. .

Yelp
The breakfast was delicious and the service was great! Love a good old fashioned diner experience. 10/10! We'll be back. Thank you!

Yelp
I ate at Millie's this morning and all I can say is Wow!! Such a great atmosphere, food was so tasty, portions were great and the prices seemed too good to be true..I can't make it that cheap at home.

Yelp
Really enjoy this place, old fashioned (fast) hot breakfast. Waitress cooks right in front of you and it's cash only. No extra frills here just good breakfast. Just wish they were open on sundays!

Yelp
The food and service is good and reasonably priced. You will love it here. This is a neighborhood place where they get to know you and your order.

Yelp
my husband is originally from Whitman, and brought me here for breakfast when we were in town visiting his mother. we all have a "Millie's Lunch" in our lives. you know- the place you went as a youngster that will always live in your memory, as the best, the favorite, the iconic. for me, as an outsider, this was just your exactly average diner. we both ordered ham and cheese omelets with the addition of onions and peppers to make it a western. while our omelets, toast, and potatoes were quite tasty, the corned beef hash is definitely straight from a can and disappointing. however, when you infuse a place with nostalgia and meaning from memory, it becomes much more than even the sum of its parts. service was friendly, and we overall had a good experience.

Yelp
Where else can you get a full breakfast for 2 people, for $12!! Seriously! The place is quite small but I've been coming here for over 2 yrs & not once have I had a problem! The girls are terrific & even have sippy cups for the young kids! I'll NEVER go anywhere else for my corned beef hash & dropped eggs!! Thanks & kudo's for keeping the place clean, & always a warm welcome!!

Yelp
Millie's Lunch is a hole in the wall in busy little Whitman center that my family has flocked to for generations. My grandmother used to take my mother there, my mother used to take me there, and now I take my daughter there. Millie's doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. There are silly signs all over the restaurant letting you know service is slow and if you're in a rush go somewhere else (not that blunt, it's all jokingly). This isn't a push you in, push you out restaurant. Everything is laid back and people take their time. All of the food is made fresh to order right in front of you at the grill in front of the bar. You see every step of the operation. Many of the cooks and waitresses have been there for years and it's become a place where there are many regular customers. You don't go to Millie's for the atmosphere. It's furnished with mismatched chairs and tables and that terrible old wood paneling. But hey, would you rather have matching seats with high prices, or mismatched homey seats with low prices? Personally, I like it. It's a small breakfast joint that knows what it is. The prices are incredibly low. A family of four can go and get a full breakfast for under 20$. I've never had a bad meal and I've tried just about everything on the menu. Definately go for a grilled english if you get an egg sandwich, it's worth it :) All cash though, and remember to tip your server!

Yelp
in todays economy its hard to find value over price, millies menu tops out at $5!! Breakfast was great with an exceptional amount food presented. It sticks to its roots and doesnt derive from it which is a great thing to see.

Yelp
One word: lame Breakfast places from surrounding towns like uncle charlies in Weymouth, or Butterfields or Anna maries in rockland, make millies look lousy. If it weren't for locals who have little local selection I think millies would've gone under some time ago. Waitresses aren't that friendly, food was just so-so. I could walk there.. But I don't, the extra travel elsewhere is worth it.

Yelp
I was satisfied with the service. The waitress's were very friendly. The food was great. The price was WOW. Great place.

Yelp
I love this place. Have been going here on and off for years and the quality of the food never changes. The prices do, but only slightly. Went with my wife an 8 year old daughter last week. 2 full breakfasts, a western omlette, side of French toast(3 slices), side of homefries, 4 coffes and a cranberry juice...$24. You can't beat that! Keep on doing what you do Millies!

Yelp
ugh. im waiting for this place to go up for sale so i can buy it and actually put a good breakfast joint in whitman. its dingy and everytime ive been there the waitress has been super rude. and theres only like 2 selections for an omelette. pepper and onion or ham.

Yelp
Three words.... Five Dollar Breakfast! I just had a cup of coffee and a ham and cheese omelet with toast for $4.98. They have funny signs on the wall that you would expect to see at a diner. Being a salesman I liked the one that said "We shoot every third salesman that comes in, two just left". It's full of the local townies getting their breakfast in the morning. They have a little breakfast bar, and plenty of seating. It's a perfect little diner in the center of a small town. It's everything you would expect it to be.

Yelp
The prices at this spot are really what make it great. It's a very low key atmosphere and they cook everything right in front of you. You can go and get a breakfast for two with coffee and juice for around $15.00, which is especially nice for dining out on a budget.

Yelp
A hole in the wall breakfast joint serving homestyle breakfasts at excellent price points in the middle of a small town. What more do you want?

Yelp
Food was really good, so was the service, and the pricing was good. However lacks sense of creativity in the menu, its like your average everyday breakfast place. All in all, great place to eat and definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast. I got the bacon egg and cheese on English. It was one of the best I've had. My husband got the Millie's all time favorite and he said it was delicious. And the price was great. I would definitely visit again!

Yelp
This is what I want out of a breakfast place. Good (cheap) food and a friendly laid back atomosphere. I prefer something more upscale for dinner but for what it is, it's great. Don't go expecting any sort of decor though. Most of the chairs are wobbly and don't match and it's not very big. But I can bring my 2 year old in there and not feel like I'm bothering anyone. It seems everyone that goes there seems to know everyone else. I just happened to go this morning w/ the kids and and the three of us got full breakfast meals for 15.00. Also, i ate the most amazing apple muffin and was compelled to ask where they get them and was told they make all their muffins in house every morning. You don't find that in many of these "holes in the wall".

Yelp
Millies Lunch is a great place to get breakfast if you don't mind anything matching. Personally I dont care. It's cheap and the apple pancakes and apple muffin I had there were really good. It cost like 7 bucks. It's a townie place. I really like that atmosphere there. The walls have pictures of Whitman from the 50's. there are articles cut out of newspapers from the 60 or 70's. I would have to say it appears as the owners and workers care about the town and just enjoy being there. I just bought a house in Whitman and I'm going to start going there requarly.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place is still open, except it does have the old tyme atmosphere Whitman is trying to keep. Looks like something out of the 50's, the food is ordinary and not really even that good. The only clients seem to be the regulars who have been going since 1950! If you want a real breakfast for five bucks that is worth the money, drive up the street to crescent st in Brockton and go to Alexander's. That place has good food, friendly waitresses, and portions tha match what you are paying for! Oh, and they don't charge you .80 cents a cup for coffee either!
